Expected SO much more. Horrible and bland food. Crappy, unfriendly service by the waiter. Overpriced taco salad with lettuce and unseasoned beef. 1 small tomato slice on it - yellow. I ordered a small margarita listed at $4.50 on the menu and was charged $9.00. Will never go back.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. The food is always excellent and the service is quick. Server's are very attentive for your needs. We've been coming here for over 16 years and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the steak fajita nachos or shrimp Chimichanga. I am a huge fan of the salsa and Pico de. Gaio.

Didn’t feel welcome. No coming back. There are better Mexican restaurants in Janesville.

I left my card in the car right in front of restaurant and my phone discharged, so asked politely if I can grab it quickly, the worker repeated couple times “pay money here, no leaving” and then asked manager to come. Waited manager with two small kids already bored for 10 mins, then they asked to charge my phone. It worked eventually but didn’t feel good.
Also box for food wasn’t proposed and food was taken away quickly

The music was a little too loud and once it got closer to closing they started cleaning the other part of the restaurant and the place reeked of cleaner/bleach and I lost my appetite. Left with a migraine, I'm very sensitive to this kind of thing but I wish they'd waited a little longer so I could enjoy the rest of my meal.

We love Cozumel Mexican Restaurant. This is a fantastic spot for dinner for the whole family. The kids are always happy with their meals. My wife and I are always satisfied and full. Have been a faithful customer to Cozumel for years my wife loves the shrimp there but we have noticed that the last few times it has shrunk to very small pieces just wondering what happened to the shrimp and also that our tortillas were so dry that we could barely eat them the portions are shrinking and it doesn't seem like a very good value for a $50 dinner in a Mexican restaurant for two I hope they can improve on this

If I’m going to be around lunch in Janesville I’ll be having my lunch in Cozumel, my regular dish is fajita fiesta, more than enough to eat there and carry out for a late snack.
They also make outstanding salsa, not as good as their other location in Whitewater, but still better than any other Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to.

Service was adequate, food was acceptable, and cost was OK.
Additional fees were added to the bill for paying by card, and suggested tips calculated % AFTER taxes and fees. Suggested tip rates are pushing 30%. Sorry, there was nothing in this experience worth even a 20% tip.
I will not be returning as the food is essentially not much different than fast food.

The “burrito” was literally dry dog food looking steak. Wrapped inside a tortilla with cheese poured over it. Served with rice n beans, the Highlight of the meal let me tell you! This would never survive as a “authentic Mexican restaurant ” anywhere else but Wisconsin. BUYERS BEWARE Wisconsin isn’t where you get Mexican food please learn from my mistakes😂

I always order the molcajete. I've never had to specify what tortillas I got with it, they've always given me the corn tortillas but this time they gave me nasty store bought flour tortillas. The flour tortillas you get her are NOT homemade. The rice was also covered in white stuff which was weird bc every time I've gotten rice it's never had white in it but this time it did. Also, we once ordered chicken nuggets & we asked the waiter if the nuggets were freshly made & he said yes & then they served us store bought dino nuggets. The fires are also not fresh. I've never complained but I'm putting ALL my complaints on here bc it's ridiculous for them to keep doing it over & over again as if we're not giving them our money.

I was here once a few years ago when visiting the area and found the food here to be excellent. We moved to the area a few years ago and finalIy returned tonight with my partner who has never been here. We both loved it! The chips and salsa are wonderful with just the right amount of heat. I had the Burritos Verde - pork, and my wife the cheese steak. Both super tasty and fresh. So many flavours. Along with the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa, a Margarita and some beer, it was all too much. We left with tomorrow's lunch in a Doggie bag. Prices were quite reasonable.

On Thursday May 9, dined at Cozumel. Had Shrimp cozumel and requested no butter and minimal oil. The manager came out twice and wanted to make sure the food they prepared was satisfactory. She was outstanding, and the food was the same. So much appreciated the extra effort she gave in preparing food that had my dietary interest foremost in her mind. I had ordered 3 steak tacos, waited 30-35 minutes for my food. When I did get my food the steak was as cold as deep freezer in sams club. They told me this was normal because lettuce was on the tacos…. They did offer to make new tacos but my schedule did not align with waiting another 30-35 mins for more tacos… horrible service and the food was just as bad. This place used to be one of my favorite places to eat, it is sad what the place has come to.
