When we travel, we always look for Cracker Barrel restaurants. The people are friendly and we enjoy the food. I always enjoy the nostalgic "theme." Every restaurant has a slightly different theme. I'm now old, and I'm reminded of very different times in the 1950's & early 1960's. Much of their displayed items date back much further and are always interesting to look at and learn about the past. Many people recall better times from their past. Cracker Barrel helps people remember those times.

Well, I'm sorry to say that this establishment that we've visited frequently over the last few decades disappointed us. I rarely take the time to enter a less than glowing review.
Far be it from me to criticize a waitress, as I've never been one, but service was awful. Orders wrong at most tables around us too. The manager helped and was apologetic.
Distracted waiteress, seemed clueless. Didn't listen.
No people skills, zero.
Not helpful.
Poor communication.

My family comes here often. The employees in the gift shop and servers know us by name, they make my kids feel like rock stars. The youngest boy loves the milk cookie straws! Our middle boy loves all the widgets, and our older boy enjoys all the different soda in the gift shop. The food is delicious.

What a shame because we actually liked this place the couple of times before. This time wasn’t a very pleasant experience. Food came out cold and incorrect. When asked by a manager if they can remake sides to fix it, we said no thanks. He did it anyways and couldn’t understand why we didn’t want them. The server we had most recently was extremely attentive and filled our orders accurately. Out of the past three visits, this was the first where our food was served hot. It seems that the way they make their mashed potatoes has changed. They aren’t fluffy and most times are cold. The biscuits are a crap shoot. Sometimes, they are fresh, other times they are hard.
The quality doesn’t seem to be there in food items. Fish sizes are small for the price you pay.

we picked up food for Easter dinner. Service to pick up was very good. However, confusing when we got home we thought we ordered food to heat up when we got home. There were directions for everything accept a couple things sp I called store. She said I ordered items that were ready to serve. SO, she said to heat up when ready, but was not sure how long because she and I were discussing how we usually heat up food in microwave usually.... SO, not much help. I did have two items when going through items that did need to be heated up. I just heated up for about 20 minutes and then we microwaved to heat up the rest of the way. The ham was not very good at all, it was very dried up.

It was freezing in the restaurant last night. I am sure everyone there felt the same because everyone was rubbing their hands together and buttoning up as we had to. We couldn't wait to leave to warm up, and yet it took extra long to get our food which was overcooked. My wifes dumplings were a pile of mush. We were at an event in town and decided to go to Cracker Barrel afterwards. On the way, I realized it was 5 pm on a Saturday and was dreading that there may be a long wait. I was pleasantly surprised that although there were a few people getting checked in ahead of me, I didn't wait long at all. It was only a matter of a few minutes, or so it seemed because there's plenty of delightful items to peruse in the shop while briefly waiting to be seated. As she showed us to our table, we walked by a warm, crackling fireplace (yes, with real logs and fire) and were seated a couple tables away from it. I love the cozy atmosphere there, oil lamps at the table, crackling fire, slightly dimmed lights, vintage photos, items and signage lining the walls.
Our server was bright and cheery, and checked in just the right amount. My granddaughter needed crayons for her activity sheet and we were informed that they were all out so she gave her her pen.
The menu has a wonderful variety of choices, and you always get enough to take some home for lunch the next day. Their biscuits are THE BEST AROUND! I felt like the wait for our food was decent, we weren't left bored or starving, wondering where our food was. We had time to play a couple short games and the our food was ready. When we were done with our meal, she brought containers and bagged it up for us.
I used a reward for a free dessert and had an email promotion for 20% off a meal and store purchase. Most places don't allow you to stack deals so I was very happy when the lady at the checkout register said I could use both!
We always have an all around wonderful experience here, from service, to food and the beautiful shop with unique items!

I placed a mobile order a little after 6:30pm, and my order would be ready at 6:53pm. I went shopping in the store while I was waiting for my order. At 6:50 I checked out and mention I had a mobile order for pick up. She called my name back and said it would be out shortly. At 7:10pm, I just asked “about how much longer?” The cashier went back to check and said they were bagging it up. I didn’t get my food until 7:22pm!! Absolutely ridiculous! I waited half an hour PAST my estimated pick up time. Will not be returning any time soon for the food, it wasn’t even good either. Definitely have already told friends and family.
