there was 5 nasty 🐝 flies at my table, talk to the waitress about it and she said that it wasn't a big deal and she walk away before I even finish complaining about it so I call the manager but the manager didn't seem to be a nice professional at all. I've talked to other managers before at different places but this one didn't seem like one, so I was told they couldn't do anything about it right away. then case closed 🤷

Every time we come to an area that has a CB we stop. The food and atmosphere is generally top notch. Not so much this time. Seriously no southern fried chicken on the regular menu and no lattes? It’s literally what we come here for. The waitress also seemed like she had a very bad long day, which is terrible for her but no reason to be semi rude

Service was the only good experience here. Which is crazy to say because the host was also the waiter. He was very professional but certainly overworked. The food was not like it was pre-covid. Its bland, no flavor, and just disappointing. For now ill remember the good times that I had here during my childhood, but ongoing I will not be back. What a true shame.

The host area felt a bit chaotic when we arrived around 1 pm. They were using a notebook for names, told us about 25 minutes, and 35 minutes later we still weren’t called because my name, the last one on the notepad, never got entered into their computer system. The host fixed it right away and kindly seated us. Our server was polite though clearly overwhelmed, and we never got the biscuits and cornbread. The food was very good. I had chicken tenders with hashbrown casserole, mac and cheese, and three dipping sauces, which was great. My husband had the breakfast platter with pancakes, fried apples, and sides. The pancakes were excellent as always and the hashbrown casserole here is my favorite. The store was full of cute Halloween decorations, some pricey but beautiful. I loved the 99 cent seasonal salt and pepper shakers and picked up both Halloween and Thanksgiving sets. The Frankenstein Hello Kitty was $25 and animated, which was fun to see. The cashier was the best part of the visit. He explained the rewards program so well that I finally signed up after visiting Cracker Barrel many times in different states. Overall, I would return. The wait and stress seemed more like staffing issues, not the fault of the polite employees, and I hope they have more support next time.

Unfortunately, our server was not paying attention to our order. She never brought the corn muffins she offered, had to ask for one of the sides she forgot and flag her down to get a drink refill. A chicken breast we ordered was burnt on the side down on the plate. The manager did replace it, but alas it also was burnt on the back side. I have been to better CBs.

We had to wait over 1 hour 30 minutes to be seated in Sunday July 27th. We had a large party and were told that it would only be 45 minutes. This was very frustrating especially since we had a member of our party that was pregnant and needed to have a meal. I can except that it would take longer for a table but twice as long! There were multiple people with parties of 4 and 6 groups being seated ahead of us.
On the positive side our waitress (Heaven) was great and very patient with us.
I'm unsure if we will dine here again.

My husband and I had the Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast. Between the long slices of onion in the cheesy hash browns and the gravy being not hot, it was disappointing 😔. We hadn't eaten here in a long time and I understand that the portions are smaller now but the quality seems less as well. Not as it was, that's all I can say.

Stopped here on vacation. The hostess seemed quite put-out that she had to actually "talk" to people. Wouldn't return a smile, and was quite surly. Not welcoming at all. She was not wearing a visible name tag, so I asked what her name was on the way out: Sydney.

Our server Holly, however, was excellent! Even though she was extremely busy, she was efficient and pleasant throughout our meal. The young women at the front desk where we paid our bill were very pleasant.

Food was just okay. Couldn't even eat the side of apples, they were so hard on the edges - awful. My husband didn't care the flavoring of his sausage, and his hash browns were just so-so.

The food was good, the service was lacking. We had to ask twice for one of our drinks. We also had to ask twice for silverware before the food came and then a third once it came. When the food came out our waitress had help carrying the second tray from a coworker but then the coworker got frustrated and asked our waitress what was taking so long to set the food out because the tray was heavy. We asked for ranch and it didn't come for quite some time when the waitress stated sorry for the long wait.

We visited after the Ren Faire. We ordered Hashbrown casserole tots which were delicious. For our entrees my wife ordered a 10oz steak mid-well it came med-rare more on the rare side with mashed potatoes and broccoli. She said the steak had a kinda weird seasoning. She said it was ok but not great the mashed potatoes were real which is always good. I ordered the Hash brown Shepherds Pie with a side of broccoli. It was delicious the only thing I would change is add more meat and vegetables. There was almost an overload of potatoes. But get the s’more latté oh wow is it good.

There was a problem with the broccoli and the waitress said the kitchen had to make a new batch. My wife didn't get her broccoli side delivered to our table till she literally was finished with her meal! Waitress apologized but there was no offer to comp the side, which almost any other restaurant would have done! With the bankruptcy maybe margins are even slimmer. Waitress did bring lost of our favorite strawberry jam for the biscuits! The lemonade recipe seems to have been changed. It used to be a tangy/sweet taste (my favorite lemonade) now just sort of tangy blah tasting! Kenosha location has not done the remodel of the country store yet as per corporates orders for a face-lift!

Hostess was extremely rude, she walked up to the podium after we were standing there roughly 10 minutes, (it was not busy at this time either) she didn't say anything, just looked at us so I took the liberty of letting her know there's 4 of us..she replied with OK YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT A COUPLE MINUTES & she then walked back into the dining room area proceeding into the rear dining area. Once we were finally seated ( I'd say roughly 20 minutes of waiting & again, the dining room was at most half full) our server was very friendly but kept us waiting for literally everything. We all had coffee & our cups were filled only the one time..we asked several other workers for a coffee refill & were told they would get our server...we finally had to get a manager just to refill our coffee cups & by this time there were maybe a total of 10 tables worth of people in the entire restaurant. We had a delightful time meeting up at this cracker barrel store in Kenosha. It was quiet, clean and we had the best server in this place. Jessica l was a great, polite, cheerful, helpful server. And when we spilled our water all over the table and floor and dropped a couple of things, she was there to help without any evidence of frustration or such. She was so encouraging and helpful with more napkins and quickly returning with fresh silverware from what had been dropped. Helping to clean the mess we made up with a cheerful attitude and not demeaning at all. Thank you for having such a good server. She made our time there the best.

GREAT service. Food quality has significantly declined. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, which did not indicate it was opened face, so out came a soggy runny egg (I ordered over medium) dish that felt apart. The menu indicates a breakfast sandwich in which it should come as a closed , toasted sandwich. Either way, I don't send food back, not worth it for this, so we just ate and noted the downfall of the food quality. I was hoping for a day off of cooking, but all this did was remind me why we rarely eat out, Our server was great and I still left her a large tip, as I'm sure server tips suffer due to the declining quality of food.
