Been by here dozens of times. Saw an article in the Journal Sentinel, claiming that their burgers were some of the best in the area. So I had to go.

Took a friend. We got their right at opening, 11:30. Got some help ordering from a couple of excited veteran customers. They claimed that we would not be disappointed. The person behind the counter was super friendly.

We got the Crave Burger, and a regular hamburger. Ordered mine medium-rare, and it was done to perfection. I was one of the tastiest, juiciest burgers that I have had. The bun, onion, truffle aioli were a great combination.

There are a few tables outside, and several more outside on a patio. It was hot out, so we grabbed an inside table. It was a bit noisy in side, but we could still hold a conversation.

I would definitely go back. Yum :)

Thank the Lord we live on the same block as Crave. Once we discovered it, it became our go-to pick-me-up on nights when we didn't want to cook. It doesn't look like much from the outside; in fact, the first year we lived in Milwaukee/Shorewood we thought the building was abandoned. Boy were we wrong! This ain't fine dining, but it is a classic diner-like experience, with juicy, straightforward, and scrumptious burgers and salty fries that will hit the spot. We don't usually order anything other than the cheeseburgers, each customized with our preferred toppings. The burgers can get a little messy, but are you a real burger lover if you don't like them that way? This is the perfect place to call ahead and grab some takeout, as I wouldn't necessarily stay to dine in. The service is prompt, courteous, and no-fuss, and the prices are much lower than what you'd pay for a luxury burger nearby for the same or worse taste. Crave is a classic American spot that our family has made a new staple. Thanks for the ease of meals and the great grub!

Stopped in for a quick dinner. The restaurant was extremely clean. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The cheese burger was very tasty and filling. The koren bbq burger was delicious as well and was a fusion. The ranch fries were also delicious. Everything was incredible! The dine in space was small however it was very clean and usable. The employees immediately cleaned up after a guest. Parking lot was spacious and it was easy to locate the restaurant. Definitely will be ordering again from here. I've been wanting to go here for a while and I was not disappointed! I opted to try their katsu burger because it was such an interesting concept to me and it was so good! The katsu was crispy and the katsu and mayo combo was all that was needed for the sandwhich. It's also a huge burger! Their regular fries are the equivalent of McDonald's fries (best fries in my opinion) but less oily and salty. Which was perfectly fine for me. I also had an apple soda which was light and refreshing!

The food was pretty good. But despite it being pretty quiet inside the person taking orders did not hear me order a burger for my 7 year old. So I had to order one separately. Also we basically had to sit outside because there was only one table indoors with adequate seating for my family and it was taken. My son chose the Korean BBQ burger and gave it one thumb in the middle, not up or down. My 7 year old almost completely devoured her plain burger. I got the Hamburguesa. After driving by this place probably 1,000 times, I finally stopped in for lunch. They have a very small menu, limited to a few types of burgers and some non Burger sandwiches, plus some fries. This is usually a good sign, a restaurant is better to do a few things well then 100 things mediocre!

I ordered a Swiss and mushroom burger, and an order of Cajun fries. The price for the burger was very reasonable, I believe $9, but that doesn't include fries, just the sandwich. In an age where a burger at a restaurant can be $20, I was very happy to see this.

The burger itself was large, with huge mushrooms to accompany it. Most places skimp out on the shrooms, not here! The patty was cooked how I ordered it (medium rare) and flavourful. Solid all around.

The fries are matchstick cut, the only way to do it! I had the Cajun seasoning added, which provided a nice zing to the fries. A small order was plenty to accompany the burger.

There are three tables in the restaurant, with some more outside. I see this really as a place for take out, especially if the weather isn't cooperating.

Overall, I'm kicking myself I didn't come here before, and I'll be back to try all the burgers!

I ordered the katsu sandwich and Cajun fries. Everything was fresh and tasty. The exterior of the katsu was very dark and slightly burnt tasting. The pork was also quite thin. The sandwich had great taste and texture overall though. I really enjoyed the Cajun fries.

Pro tip, make it a double cheeseburger. On my personal three point scale, it was a 1.5/3. Elsa's is better IMO. However, super inexpensive and still very good. Good quick meal. Cheddar fries solid. I prefered the chicken sandwhich over the cheeseburger (probably because of the garlic aioli).

After reading this place on a plethora of online forums and lists, I figured to give it a chance and it did not disappoint!

Walking in is a small eating space with 3-4 tables

Ordering has a simple menu with a variety of burgers and plain fries or seasoned

The Crave burger is unreal. Soft brioche bun perfectly complements the fresh burger. The aioli adds the perfect delicate and rich flavor. Overall juicy and mouth watering

Stopped here for lunch today right at noon. There was a line and all tables were full. Ordered the crave burger with a small fry and a coke, total was $17 after tip. I think it was a reasonable price for the area and quality of food.

The bun was perfect. Burger patty itself was a bit closer to med-well (I ordered med), slightly over seasoned and not quite as seared as I like it but the flavor was fantastic. Toppings were fresh and very tasty.

Fries seem homemade, the oil they use is good but mine were a bit underdone I think due to the rush. Perfectly salted.

Not many tables to sit at to enjoy the food but it is what it is. I ate in my car and saw a bunch more people go in while I was eating.

I'm excited to come back to try the soft shell crab blt and the Korean burger.

This is the BEST cheeseburger! I had the classic but there are variations that looked equally delicious. It was a hefty portion and a side of crispy fries made it worthy of a drive-in carhop legacy. (It smelled so good I almost forgot to take a photo....)

I just moved to MKE and my friend said “they have the best burgers in town” i will definitely agree with that. I was super skeptical of getting the soft shell crab BLT but i was pleasantly surprised. Its a little sketchy and weird looking but dont let that put you off.

Food is good, too limited of menu. Owners are weird. You can’t place online order, always having phone issues. Something is off!! It’s sad they can make it work, but don’t seem to notice or care.

Who would have thought that the best burgers in Wisconsin would be tucked away in Shorewood. Truly one of the best burgers my husband and I have had in a while and reminded us of our favorite burgers in Washington DC area (Best Damn Burger).

If you’re looking to satisfy a burger craving I would not think twice to try this place. We drove up from Illinois and will gladly drive the one hour back when the craving hits again.

The burgers taste just as good as they look and are cooked to a perfect medium rare. The topping selections pair nicely and the fries are perfectly seasoned and super crispy.

We are already planning our next trip back.

The best burgers in Milwaukee! The burgers are always tender and cooked perfectly every time. Plus they have such interesting menu options if you don’t want a basic burger. The Korean bbq burger with kimchi is my favorite. Such a great flavor combo! Don’t forget to get fries too - the ranch fries are killer and highly addictive. Ideal for pick up! They make the fries fresh too so you know they’ll be warm and crispy.

Humble little hole in the wall that cooks fantastic burgers. Perfectly medium rare as requested, large portions but you won't stop until you have finished the burger! Fries are good as well. Under $30 for two burgers and two fries (1 large, 1 small). Will definitely be returning!

The crave burger was AMAZING really one of a kind crazy savory taste but was really expensive, I think it was like $15 Ish with a small fry. Anyways it’s doesn’t really have good sit in tables, it feels like you’re in some 90 middle eastern food place, but it is very great for takeout as they have BOMB food. The service was okay, the server just felt like he was forced to do his job and didn’t even say anything like “enjoy” or whatever or even “you’re welcome” when I said thank you for the food.
