Wife wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. I hadn't been before and we had an outside table, of which there's about 4 and they abut the parking lot. I found my sandwich to be tasty (burger) and found it an overall good experience. Not sure I'll make the drive again just for the food, but it's clearly a popular place with a variety of menu choices.

I did a pickup order and had the breakfast sandwich and a caramel latte. The cheddar herb cream cheese really made the sandwich! Delicious! I should've just ordered a standard latte because I didn't much care for the caramel flavoring. Ordering online was super fast. They quoted 25 minutes but it was ready (notified via text) in about 5 minutes. They have a separate area for pickup so you don't have to wait in line to pickup your food. Would love to come back and try some other items next time!

I really like Crema, I’ve been there a couple times and it’s been great.

This time my partner and I ordered takeout and our experience was not so good. My partner has Crohns, there are certain things he can and cannot eat because it will cause flares ups.

He also really can’t have a lot of cheese because he’s one lactose intolerant but also it really upsets his stomach. We ordered a smash burger, I politely asked (on the notes) for no cheese and if we could add tomato and lettuce if possible and sub chips(which is an option on their online ordering system).

When he picked it up and came home it’s like no one read the notes at all and they are clearly on the receipt… The smash burger was covered in cheese, side salad even though online we subbed chips. We scraped off the cheese as much as we could, but he ended up just eating one patty and half the bun. It was a bit disappointing.

I don’t think we’ll order online again, maybe go once in awhile but this was a bit of a let down! My order was correct at least!

I've visited Crema Cafe a few times and it's always great. The cozy little space is perfect for a lunch with a friend or to work solo. They make a dang good chai latte. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Gobbler and it was delicious. The food was delivered very fast and the Crema staff are always so friendly. If you're in the Monona area, it's definitely worth checking out!

Drove from Milwaukee to meet friends for Saturday brunch; however, Crema Cafe was unexpectedly closed. No sign on the door, no mention of the closure on their website, no voicemail explanation when calling their phone number. As I stood outside scrambling to rearrange plans, I encountered other customers also frustrated by the sudden closure. There had been snow the previous evening – perhaps the closure was in anticipation of continued inclement weather? – but the roads were very drive-able that morning, so I hesitate to assume that was the cause for the closure. I'm not sure if sudden closures are common for this business, but consider calling ahead if you're coming a distance and/or are gathering with several people.

This is one of the best breakfast and lunch places in the city. The salmon omlette is outstanding, and so is the gobbler turkey sandwich. They usually have some kind of gluten-free pastry, too! We had a great time at brunch. It was busy - it seems popular with young families. We had the daily scramble and the blueberry basil waffle special, and both were excellent. The waffle was especially impressive with house made berry compote and flavored whipped butter. Overall this place seems quite a high value for the price point.

They have very efficient counter service and a laid back atmosphere. Casual or even workout clothes for right in. The space is brightly lit and cheery.

Love grabbing breakfast and coffee at Crema. The killer scramble is outstanding (salmon and goat cheese may seem weird in a breakfast scramble, but it absolutely works). Very busy, bustling neighborhood place full of locals, with outdoor seating in the warmer months. Their Snow White and Bees Knees lattes are very good, and their bakery is also solid! I ordered a cold brew coffee, but it was more like coffee flavored water. I thought something was wrong, so I told the barista about it. She said it was because it was sitting for a long time, but it was like that from the moment I got it. She gave me a new one, and it still tasted like coffee flavored water. Four of us ate there at noon on a weekday. It was crowded but polite. We had excellent food (we all had sandwiches) and very good coffee with just a short wait for a table and maybe 10 minutes for the food to be brought. You order at the counter and carry your drinks back to your table. You're expected to bus your own table.

This is a local favorite because of its proximity to the lake and to Monona Drive. I have always enjoyed the food and the busy yet intimate atmosphere. My wife has Celiac Dx so ordered Gluten free French toast which she had ordered before and absolutely loved. Today, she cleared told the server that she needed the Gluten-free version- and the server acknowledged. The dish arrived and she began eating it, about halfway through, we realized it was not Gluten free. My wife has been sick all day and in pain from this error. Lesson learned, if you have a severe gluten allergy, question the dish when it arrives, not just when you order.
