Our first time going here and it was a great experience. Trisha, our waitress was amazing and very friendly, sweet, kind and full of joy. She made our first experience great. We are from the south and good customer service is what we are use too back home and she made a great expression. The food was wonderful, I had blueberry pancake and skillet hash and my spouse had the hungry man. Portions were a great size. I do plan to visit again next time I'm in the area. I will say the customer service is what made the whole visit worth it. Thank you very much Trisha, keep smiling, because it making others smile.

I don't like getting up early, but if it's a choice between sleep and C's Restaurant and Bakery ... then C's beats sleep!
Everything I've tried on their menu is excellent, though I often order their delicious weekend specials that are unique and ever-changing.
The prices are reasonable, the service is terrific, and I love sitting out on the patio whenever the weather is agreeable.
I've been coming here for almost a decade, and I highly recommend this charming family restaurant. Please do yourself a favor, and visit C's!

We like to try new places when we are out of town. So we found this place via a google search and so glad we did. Food and service were amazing. This will be our go to when in the area. Also if they ask if you want your elephant ear grilled say yes! Oh so good!!

Cute place to grab breakfast! Food was amazing. Had an omelet and it was fluffy and packed full of ingredients! The
hashbrowns are one of a kind with ingredients packed in and looks like they shred potatoes in house. Then the homemade breads! Honestly, this is a good to more often for me! Fresh baked sweet items at the counter...can't believe this place is in Middleton.

We were in town and decided to try out a new to us place. We were not disappointed! Their homemade hashbrowns are top notch. I had the cinnamon roll egg sandwich and my husband had the fried eggs on a bed of hashbrowns. It was just the type of food we were expecting and wanting, it was delicious!
Service was quick and friendly!

This is one of those local family style restaurants that have good food you can count on them and they are well priced good service and sometimes hard to find these days. It’s just a lovely family owned restaurant that’s been there for years. They are only open till 1 o’clock in the afternoon. They open early I believe at 6 AM but you can always count on them for a good breakfast or an early lunch, their handicap access Plenty of parking and they always have the newspaper there too so if you’re a single person just popping in to have a quick breakfast with some good coffee you can set at the counter, which is very popular and enjoy the paper with your meal.
I also love the pancakes and they have good biscuits and gravy and the service is excellent and the extra little treat as they always have a decorated for the holidays and they have special collectible items that they put out at Christmas. It’s cozy. It’s company and I highly recommend it.

The waitress mentioned she had only been there about a week, so I gave her some grace for a few of the small mistakes—but unfortunately, the food was a bigger issue.
I ordered the vegetable hash browns, and honestly, it was one of the worst versions I’ve had. The potatoes weren’t crispy at all (and I like crispy hash browns), the onions were chopped the same size as the potatoes and weren’t fully cooked—so it felt like I was eating raw onions mixed in. The cheese wasn’t melted, which is basic for a dish like this.
To top it off, I had asked for ham to be added, and there was no ham in it at all.
It’s a simple dish, and it really missed the mark.

This is exactly what every local breakfast spot should be: A homey environment with homemade comfort food and friendly service! The cinnamon swirl pancakes are truly a highlight — they’re huge, so share an order for the table and everyone will leave in a better mood! The skillets and omelettes are hearty and the hash browns are perfect. Don’t forget to grab some fresh bakery items on your way out. This place is a gem and I will stop here every time I’m in the area.

Service was great from Margerit (not sure of her spelling). My eggs were not done to my liking. I knew as she was setting my plate down. I also received steak. It was left at the table. While she took my plate to fix my eggs. She came back with my plate. My food was cold except my eggs. That still were not done. I got to eating my steak. It had pink in it. I did not want to say anything because they were busy. I will guess that our food was sitting waiting for her to serve it to us. The booths are really tight to sit in. Food was not bad for being cold.

I’d like to preface by saying that this review is not about the food, it’s about the service and overall experience dining at this place.
We’ve been to this restaurant three times. The first time was great, but being huge coffee lovers, we noticed that their coffee was very light. We let it slide, since it was our first time, and we thought perhaps it was just an off-day for whoever is brewing their coffee. However, on our second time, we noticed that the coffee was still made the same way - very light roast. We asked the server if we could have at least a medium roast, and her response was, this is how they make their coffee because most of their customers are elderly and don’t like their coffee that strong.
We still went there a third time, because we really liked the food, but this time we stopped by at nearby Starbucks to get our coffee before going into this restaurant.
We were promptly greeted and seated, but when the server came, she said, “Next time, you should finish your coffee first before coming in”. We told her that we prefer our coffee a certain way and that’s not something that this restaurant is able to offer, so we decided to bring our own coffee.
She then said, “You don’t bring your own beer to a bar when you don’t like their beer”. And I replied, “We’re here for the food, not for the coffee.”
And of course, at this point, we just stood up and left, mentally crossing off this place from our favorites list.
I understand the principle behind not letting outside food in, but most places are able to accommodate and make an exemption on items that they are not able to offer, or are not on their menu.
And quite honestly, if I’m a business owner, I wouldn’t want to lose $50 worth of business over a $2 cup of coffee. Especially not on a day when you only have 6 customers dining in.

Breakfast was ok. However, this place doesn't allow substitutions. For example the skillet I ordered came with green peppers. I asked our server if I could get mushrooms instead and she said it would be an upcharge of $0.99 to remove the peppers & add the mushrooms. I've never been to an establishment that would charge for such a simple request/swap and for that reason this place won't get my future business.

This was my second time here, after a mediocre 1st round almost 9 months ago. Since locals like this place, I wanted to try one more time. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a pleasent experience. This was a weekday morning with place not being packed at all. Food is ok, appears clean but not delicious by any criteria. Hollandase sauce for Eggs Benedict lacks taste and spices. Their signature hasbrowns is very greasy. We ordered a single pancake to taste their pancakes. Waites tried to give us our “egg’d” forks to eat pancake. When we asked for new silverware, we received eye rolling and long stares. Only pleasant encounter we had was with the lady who served coffee- she was lovely. Atmosphere is also very outdated, appears old. I strongly recommend against visiting this place for breakfast. You are few minutes away from the original pancake house, panera and/or La Brioche and all these places welcome you with smiling faces and great service. Don’t waste your time or money for neither the condescending attitude nor medicore food.

An awesome traditional american breakfast spot. It’s great when you walk in and everyone is a local. They had a great selection of just about anything you could think of, omelette, pancakes, scrambles, skillets, etc. My boyfriend said they were some of the best pancakes he’d ever had. My omelette was good, wasn’t out of this world but it was cheesy and had a nice balance of every ingredient. I would loved a little more ham. Very good for a quick bite, they are fast and efficient! Definitely will come again, looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Super unimpressed. I live down the street and love breakfast so I thought I’d found a new daily breakfast stop. I ordered the easiest stuff on the menu and not one bite was good- scrambled eggs were rubbery in texture and flavorless, bacon was like dry hard leather, hard to chew and no flavor, and the sourdough toast was tiny, dense, flavorless, and had the texture of sandpaper. The waitress never bothered to check if we needed refills, the cups they gave us were cloudy/dirty, they brought the milk out right after we ordered so that when food came 20 minutes later the milk was warm. didn’t give us enough silverware for our table so had to go search it out when our food came and they acted like we were lying about it. Would’ve ate here 5 days a week if the food/service was any good, but after this disappointing experience I’ll never be back

I really don’t like coming here. I started coming once a week but have ended that as quick as it started. I got treated like just another task to complete by nearly all staff. Clearly they are busy (lol) but you overcharge me all the time at highly-caffeinated-break-neck speeds and it’s RUDE. Either tell me you don’t want me there or chill out and get your numbers right - STOP OVERCHARGING PEOPLE. You can calm down for 5 seconds. Two times in a row I asked to get my bill rechecked to find out you “miscalculated”. The second time I asked it was $5 off, and I had overpaid you guys AGAIN. You are without time for your customers and causing major errors because of it. I was tipping 20 percent on orders that were over $20. Apparently it was only a $17 plate. PS the bacon doesn’t get cooked at all in the omelette and is slimy. I paid so much extra for that. You guys suck. Sure would be rude if someone placed a huge order and “miscalculated” what day they were to pick it up. :) .

I went around 8 something on a Saturday morning 3/2/24. Overall, I felt put off by the waitress (darker hair younger next yime will look at name tag) and the overall service.
It is super busy and things seemed frenetic back of the house. I sat across from the bathrooms at the booth way too close to the kitchen area and the waitress just ignored me getting everyone came later at the counter first and seemed bit all over the place. She was nice getting coke but then at the end when showed her my card cause wasn't coming to pick it up as too busy kind of snipped at me to take to the counter up front.
Anyway, I had the 4 by 4 and a blueberry scone. They have coffee or soda and a local Towne hangout vibe. I didn't the bakery item was anything special and the food was OK. I felt the meeting a bit scrunched and near the bathrooms. The menu was a bit confusing the waitress asked me the type of toast and I thought referring to bottom of menu as that what pointed at then asked type of toast as not received and was like oh meant French toast so yes it was chaotic in there. I have rarely not left a tip in my life but the snippiness at the end when showed my card after received the bill and waited to come back for a while warranted that along with the poor seating and unwelcoming approach. Not a place I will be back.

I moved to this area about a year ago and have finally experienced this wonderful little local gem! It is a breakfast spot only and it is always packed! They close at 1 PM everyday. I have been wanting to go in there but never am I there early enough to get a table without waiting even though i'm sure it is worth the wait!
I have had take out their 4 or 5 times now and it is so delicious-- just like home cooking!
I don't think you can go wrong with anything there. I've had their omelets, I've had their breakfast sandwiches I've had their skillets and those pecan rolls are to die for! They have quite the bakery and I'm afraid to try to sample everything so for now i'm sticking with the pecan rolls!
If any management or ownership are reading this, I would like to make one suggestion as far as an item I'd love to see you add in terms of bakery items. I'm sure would be a hit- Instead of strawberry rhubarb, try raspberry and rhubarb! I'm actually surprised at how many places don't have it on their menu and always have the strawberry. I promise you, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the raspberry and rhubarb combination. Strawberry, I've always feel overpowers the rhubarb whereas the raspberry compliments the rhubarb nicely! Just need a little added sugar to tone down the tartness.
I used to go to the diner in Verona, which I think is as good although they don't have the bakery. But now this is so much closer. So for the most part, I'll be enjoying my breakfasts here at C's!
Thank you so much for

Food took forever. Water cup sat empty for about 10 minutes even though numerous waitresses walked by and our cups were sitting at the end of the table where they could see them. I actually had to stop one of them and ask them before we got any. ordered a skillet with sausage, but they gave me turkey sausage. And there wasn’t much of it, one big clump, and a few other specs, no cheese on it. the eggs were super tiny, and only two of them.. it’s pretty hard to screw up breakfast, but they seem to do it

I would recommend not placing a to-go order over the phone. Called ahead for a pick up, 25min wait. Go to pick it up only to find out the order had not made it's way to the kitchen yet. Que another 25min wait standing at the front asking for updates. Good food, not worth the effort, at least for pick up.

We understand that it was Sunday and it is the busiest time for the most of breakfast places,BUT, 45 min to get our food???!!!We ordered eggs Benedict and it takes time to make them, however, how long does it take to make one pancake for a toddler?! While we have been waiting our server stopped by once to ask if we need more water. The manager response about the wait time was “ well it’s Sunday”, no apology, nothing… And the cherry on the top became a piece of hair on the top of the eggs Benedic… yikes!

Went in for breakfast at 11 o’clock so it certainly wasn’t busy. There were 5 ladies working, only one was waitressing. I stood in the doorway, waiting to be acknowledged to be seated or told to seat myself, was ignored by every worker. And don’t get the hashbrowns. They are either undercooked, overcooked and either way flavorless.

Unbeatable price for the amount of food you get. A little cramped but preserves the classic dinner feel.

Wonderful breakfast. We enjoyed the festive Easter decorations. The narrow doors and rough entrance made bringing a wheelchair in a challenge.

About a month ago I went to C's and just wanted coffee. Aware this can be a no-no in restaurants, I asked the server if it was okay and said I'd tip her well to make up for it. She seemed totally fine with it, I stayed for a little under an hour and left her $10. Today I had the same server and once again, just wanted coffee. Before I could say more in the interaction, my server said "oh sure hun" in an exasperated way and immediately ran off to talk to her coworker, who turned to glare at me as she spoke. Subtle.
I got the idea and packed up my things and went to the counter to pay and leave. The coworker who had clearly been told about my audacious order informed me in the rudest way (with a full on head snap) that there was a $5 minimum for cards. I asked if I could just tip the server extra with my card and she said, "no, so what else do you want?"
For one, the inconsistency is super unprofessional and it's just not a kind way to treat....anyone. I would have understood in real terms if they had just spoken to me like a human that they'd prefer I made a real order and had been planning on leaving a genreous tip - instead I threw the girl $3 crumpled up dollars and will not be back. Mission accomplished I guess.

Small town local cafe! C's feels so warm and homey. Food is great... Perfect pancakes, crispy bacon, generous omelettes, constant refills on coffee. The staff is friendly, attentive, and refreshingly/joyously human! Fun!

Great Restaraunt, I stopped here for breakfast while I was out of town visiting family.
It was delicious!! I had a build your own skillet with breakast links, and chedder. There was some zesty delicious seasoning in it as well! Exactly as I would have made it at home!
Super Yummy!

I really enjoy C's Bakery, as my grandmother(RIP) took myself and my brother there as kids. So the nostalgia is strong. Great food, made by awesome people. The staff is very kind and humble, I recommend this place. :)

Clean restaurant, friendly staff. Definitely worth a sit at the counter to get to know everyone. Only notable concern would be finding somewhere close to park, but I don't fault them for it. Regardless, delicious food and great atmosphere.
