The vaca frita pork was as dry as the Sahara desert. The bartender was very nice/exceptional service. The restaurant was completely empty and food came out quick. I would’ve loved to clean my hands after my meal, but the hand sanitizer near the door was empty.

The food is fantastic! Everything that my family has tried on the menu so far has been delicious. I highly recommend the steak nachos, coconut shrimp, macita bowl, & ribs! The food is flavorful & light while portion sizes are generous. We have had the pleasure of having Maddie as our server! Very cool to try Cuban food. It was amazing, the only thing I'd change is season the pork alittle. Even just salt. I got one of the bowls with pork and my partner got empanadas. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Pollo Tropical and the fruit perfectly complimented the chicken without being overly sweet. My mom had the Cubano and had nothing but good things to say.

Today was the second time that I visited Cubanita's Oak Creek. The atmosphere is great for conversation. The service has generally been good. It's the food that seems mid. Ordered a dish that should have been at least warm, but it was cold. After I asked for it to be warmed up, they were accommodating, but by the time I got the food back, I wasn't really hungry anymore.
The downtown location has better food service overall. The cocktail of the month was good. Hopefully, they can improve the food experience.

Dropped in on a weekday evening. No crowds, probably because it was so cold. Raspberry mojito was strong and very tasty.
Pollo empanadas were not half bad, but could have had more filling. Ropa Viaja was very tasty too, but tiny portion. The key lime pie was disappointing and chemical set flavoured. I should have tried the brownie.
Servers were great.
My biggest complaint about the atmosphere was that they kept the side door in use even though the temperature in the whole room dropped about 20 degrees every time it was opened.

I ordered online. Cold, busy Friday night. Have to park over by Five Guys. No real issues. I walk in. Stand there. No hostess in sight. I proceed to stand there by myself for 5 minutes making eye contact with many waitresses. I finally walk to the middle of the establishment where the nearest register is. Can't get anyone's attention. Finally I get in someone's way. Tell them I have an online order. They ask for my name. I give it to them. They say "oh okay they are probably finishing it up I'll go check." I already knew it was ready, I received the text saying it was. Turns out I was talking to the bartender. They didn't go check, they went back behind the bar and continued serving.

I go back to where I was originally standing when I walked in. Another customer was already waiting there. I'm standing closer to the bar than that customer (I'm "first in line"). A hostess walks up and seats that person. I'm standing there alone again. About a minute later a random hostess appears and takes care of me finally.

$17 for ACP is wild, but it's okay.

Get a hostess stand. Get a carry out shelf.

I love this place..but the one downtown Milwaukee. We have gone here before (only because Milwaukee is closed on Sunday's) but the food just isn't the same. In all honesty..Milwaukee's seems fresher, better taste and is always hot. At this location, the food temperature is luke warm and doesn't have the same flavor as downtown. The appearance of the food incomparison to the Milwaukee location even looks different. I still recommend Cubanitas, but you definitely have to try them both to make your own decision!

5 star experience. Came in this past Sunday and they had the Packer game on both tvs and the sound playing in the entire restaurant. That was awesome to see! Can I get a salt & pepper shaker? I ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side of french fries and their Cuban chicken wings. The sandwich came out cold, and the extremely small portion of french fries was also cold. The chicken wings were incredibly small, severely overcooked & dried out like jerky. I asked my server for salt and pepper, and what she gave me was the little paper salt and pepper containers(picture shown). I asked her if I could get a salt and pepper shaker, and she said no. Came here for the first time, made a large reservation for 8. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. First ordered drinks, they all tasted great, but my wine glass was dirty and I could actually see lipstick smudged around the edge of the glass! She immediately brought me a new glass that was clean with new wine. The coconut shrimp was delicious but the dipping sauce was a little too acidic so didn't really use it. A few people ordered the steak with veggies. The steak was very thin and a little tough/dry. They felt that a sauce on top of it would have been better. But still seasoned well. I ordered the Vaca Frita bowl which was crispy steak as the protein. But it was shredded and seemed reheated so it was extremely hard to chew and very dry. Not crispy at all. I even thought it was pork because of the color but they assured me it was steak. Everything else in the bowl was perfect, especially the sweet plantains. But I do not recommend the steak in any form. The tables felt sticky but not sure if that was the finish of the table or not. Salads were huge and fresh, and the chicken bowl was delicious. For what we paid I feel it fell short. And then was finishing my wine after paying and another large group came in and they asked us to leave cause they needed the tables even though we were surrounded by empty tables so that was awkward, we would have been leaving in 5mins or less anyways and the restaurant was about half full. Not sure I will be back.
