I came last minute 6 minutes before they closed and I was greeted with the same smile and positive energy you would expect from a mid morning visit. I don't usually have such great interactions past 8pm anywhere so that was really refreshing.food was fast, delicious, and fresh. Most places forget things in my order but today I ended up with an extra sandwich I didn't order. Today was my day I guess 😊🫣

I had checked out an article on Google about the top 10 burger chains today. Culvers's "Butter burger " was near the top of the list. Not being from the North Central American heartland, I had zero exposure to this chain. Recently I traveled to Wisconsin. And low and behold a Culver's was within a couple miles of my hotel. So what was my experience? The burger was BANGING! Even beyond the "fast food" parameter, I would travel a moderate distance to consume this burger beyond ALL competitors. The sides were tasty and delicious (I even tried the cheese curds). The service, cleanliness, and atmosphere were above standard. Menu choices were present, but my focus on both my visits, was locked into the Butter Burger... I now agree completely with the highest ranging of the article I checked out. And give my hearty recommendation for this establishment!

I ordered the Strawberry Fields salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was cordy and tough. I couldn't eat it. I found the feta cheese at the bottom of the salad(which I thought was unusual). I noticed a rather strong taste which I assumed was the feta cheese but when I looked closely at the feta cheese I could clearly see most of the feta pieces were covered in green. Feta cheese is not supposed to be green. THAT WAS MOLD. Lost my appetite and didnt finish. SO DISAPPOINTED!

Used the drive thru. Two cars in front of me used the waiting area to the right and I was told to park "wherever ". I saw lines on the pavement to the left so I pulled out to wait. The drive thru attendant who had given the instructions to go "wherever" came out and said I was blocking traffic and had to move. He then said to go to the left in the main parking lot and that they would find me. I noticed after I went to the left as instructed that drive thru was going to the right to park by Woodmans so the delivery people had difficulty finding us even though I was holding my number high in the air. I have not used the drive thru at this location before so I erroneously followed the instructions I was given. I have been a Culvers customer for many years and have enjoyed patronizing you, not so much tonight.

So I typically come here with my wife once a month and service and food is great. Tonight not so much. To start the burgers we're dry and cold, my wife found a curly hair in hers about 10 inches long. We both have straight short hair. Our fries were either warm or STILL FROZEN. It was like eating potato flavored ice cubes, I mean these things are fried and burgers grilled how do you mess that up? Lastly and for the only edible part of the meals we were also given the wrong custard flavor, so after eating about three bites from each meal we threw everything out besides the custard and went elsewhere for food.

We came to this Culver’s after driving around for nearly an hour, and were utterly disappointed with the service regarding our food. Drive thru. I ordered a small meal. Waited 18 minutes though I arrived before the rush. Seemed understaffed, I don't expect perfect happy smiles but I expect effort as someone who worked in fast food (at a Culver's) for years. Girl who brought out my food was nice. Every time I come here they get at least one thing wrong. Today it was me repeating that I wanted a small fry twice and still got a medium. ***I wrote the below 6 years ago but wanted to add the above and this section in stars. I visit this Culver's when in the Appleton area. Today was by far an exceptional experience. Exactly the reason I'll now go out of my way to frequent this specific location more in the future. Today, Mary went behind and above to make sure she showed great service to myself and my small boys. My son had an appointment with an eye doctor today and was wearing sunglasses to protect his eyes following dilation. She helped take care of my trays and asked about his glasses and took time to listen. She gave my sons special Scoopie stuffies. It absolutely made the experience so unique and really touched my heart as well as my 3 year old who had just had a hard time at the doctor. Thank you so much!!***
We enjoy Culver's very much. The hardworking team well maintains a clean and happy atmosphere.The food is definitely American...which is good in moderation. You may also enjoy a salad if you are needing a healthier option. Or go bunless. The employees are accommodating and can help with allergy or diet needs when prompted.
We really like the burgers, fries, cheesecurds, etc...and I cannot leave out their signature item, their custard! We are glad when we can make stops at Culver's for an occasional treat or when we don't feel like cooking. If you're in a pinch, they offer snack pack meals from around $5 to $6 and if you fill out the survey in the restaurant you may use the code to sometimes get a free scoop of custard (just read the receipt to see what the deal is, so.sometimes it's for value basket discounts, etc..but my overall experience is that it's usually for a free scoop)!
They also offer great kids meals for reasonable prices..with a free scoop of custard and coupons to save up for cool gear items. Our toddler likes the icecream and we are saving up for a shirt! We enjoy that they have bibs to help with the mess of a toddler. Or if you just want to be silly..or if you have on that really nice shirt or blouse and don't mind the confounded looks you get..all for the greater good.

Waited for 23 minutes for chicken strips with fries and an order of pretzel bites before going to ask at the counter when it would be ready. The woman said she didn’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ she came to the table a couple minutes later saying that they were “remaking the order”. Waited an additional 8 minutes and watched 3 groups, who ordered after us, get and finish their meals before we finally got our VERY simple order 31 minutes later.

Admittedly, I’m from Canada, so we don’t have Culver’s where I am, however; my partner is from the states and would rave about Culver’s to me all the time. So, when I came to visit, one of our first stops was of course, Culver’s, and I can confidently confirm that everything that was raved about is completely accurate.
These are some of the best dang burgers on earth. Who doesn’t love a nice, flavourful, charred but also a lil greasy, just how we like it, kinda burger? And the toppings are always so fresh, I’ve never had a soggy tomato or wilted lettuce, the whole burger itself just slaps. We also definitely recommend getting the onion rings instead of fries as your side, they’re delicious and crispy and just perfect, the best side for the best burger.
Food aside, the service is always very friendly and quick despite the burgers being made fresh to order. The whole situation here is a well oiled machine and Culver’s knows what the heck they’re doing. Can’t wait till I’m back in the states and can get my weekly Culver’s fix!

Update: 2/19/25 Went to use my coupon you sent me for a *free* basket, and I was told I’d still have to pay for cheese curds - are you kidding me? Doesn’t sound like free to me! It even said ANY medium side. Nowhere did it say there would be an upcharge for the side. A basket means the sandwich, drink and side. Not just the sandwich and the drink. That’s not a basket. I’m no genius but that tells me that would include cheese curds, fries and yes even onion rings. So, I said give
me fries for the side and I STILL had to pay for the fries!! And who ever was manager on duty was completely useless. If someone is that unhappy, usually they have the authority to override a coupon (I’ve worked in the service industry for many years - it’s about making the customer happy, not trying to get as much money out of them as possible).

Never had an issue here until today - ordered a double butter burger in the drive thru - no cheese, lettuce tomato onion.
Simple right? Apparently not, they gave me a burger with one patty. Went in to get it fixed, then they gave me a burger with NOTHING on it! ordered a burger basket today and had a free cheese curd coupon from a fundraiser that i didn’t realize had expired by a few days. after i got the bag in my car i saw that i was charged for the cheese curds and explained that i had a coupon, they refunded my money and then after realizing the coupon was expired , during which the food was already in my car the manager snatched them out of my bag and then handed the bag back to me without the cheese curds!! seriously? it was almost laughable

The food, service, and employees were all wonderful! They were extremely busy. Most tables were sticky with food left overs. I was in the drive thru at about 8 pm on Wednesday. I ordered a butter burger with mustard and pickles. I was disappointed that they put so much mustard on it I couldn't taste anything else. The bun on the bottom had so much white stuff like flour or cornstarch not sure which but it was not worth the money I paid. It was awful. I have eaten at Culver's before and I was surprised how awful the sandwich was.

Woooow!!! In Texas, Whataburguer is one of my favorites, but when I tried Culver's, all I can say is that now on my #1 list. I got the Deluxe basket it comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and fries (very crunchy). I highly recommend visiting.

Everyone was dropping things on the floor, such as ice cream lids and ice cream topping containers, and proceeded to pick up off the floor and continue to use the dirty items.
