Was in town and stopped by for an early dinner.
Elected to order the fish dinner and ask for no salt on the French Fries.

The person taking my order was an experienced associate of the location and that gave me confidence in the food would be prepared correctly.

Number of Culver's folks standing around based on their embroidered shirts saying Culver's.

The dinner didn't come with a beverage and I wasn't prepared for that but it's their call.

Ordered a drink and this location like others have gone with Coke products.

Had to ask for a receipt and took my table topper to a booth.

On the way selected a beverage and obtained a lid, straw and napkins.

Then the wait started.

Saw many people order and they got their food delivered to their table and the drive through was busy as well.

Food on a tray arrived and I noticed the Cole Slaw, a roll and sealed butter and container of tartar sauce.

Fish was hot and had lots of grease and the grease took away from the taste.

Coke Slaw was good, portion size was small.

Returned to the beverage bar and filled up my cup and glanced at the menu board and noticed my 'dinner' did come with fries.

Set my drink down and back to the counter to ask why. Good thing I had my receipt.

I had to explain to the counter person that I was missing the fries. The person who took my order was in the area and didn't say anything about it.

Then another wait for the fries to be delivered.

This time period allowed me to finish my fish dinner with the exception of the roll.

The roll was cold and wasn't fresh. My guess is it came out of the freezer and was placed on my tray.

Fries and the receipt were delivered and no comment from anyone about the order.

Again, there was a person who was wearing a Culver's shirt sitting across the way from my table.

My guess is that they are too busy or just don't care.

I love everything about Culvers, except their Cheese Curds. I can’t believe a Wisconsin based establishment has such below average Curds. They batter is way to thick, seasoned like mozz sticks and not a curd. Honestly a place like Culvers should be making these fresh to order from scratch and not from frozen. If they are frozen then they need to have beer battered curds at a minimum. I have brought this up before but they don’t care, there $ is the same. Way better options available from Ellsworth, Kalsheur’s, Monroe. Take a note from the Curd Girl food cart, the curds that A&W or DQ or the Riv in Sauk have.

Placed a curbside order at 4:30, told it would be ready by 4:45. I arrived at 4:40, checked in, and watched multiple people who showed up after me get their food first. Tried calling — phone isn’t even set up. Went inside to find one person actually working while others stood around talking. No apology, no attempt to make it right. My “custard” was melted soup, and my food was cold. If you want slow service, zero communication, and ruined food, this is the place.

They don't proactively provide a receipt if you're not ordering something that requires to be held in a bag.

I do wish they ran more specials and deals especially with lemon ice coolers pop up.

Edited to add: I don't think it's a bad visit just not 5 star superb. The cooler was consistent. The wait was consistent. Taste consistent. I got a receipt upon asking. The team member was knowledgeable and polite. That's pretty much the norm for Culver's, IMHO.

Hi Helga here, here I am. The service was impeccable! Shoutout to Cadence at the mineral point rd location, she was the BEST. She gave Helga and friends a survey for free stuff and even offered to get us complimentary water I mean what else could you ask for? I felt like I was checking in to a 5 star hotel, she made our whole experience feel special. Even when her coworkers messed up our number she jumped into action and got it figured out, she went above and beyond the call of duty and I hope this review is seen by the upper management at this location and awards her for her amazing service and sheer talent of operating the drive thru window. - Helga

As far as drive-thru SOP goes, always having to pull up somewhere, park, and wait seems, in practice, wack.

The food is Culvers, either you like it or not, nothing stands out about this specific location to me. If anything I avoid their fries everywhere, and I'm not sure how, let alone why, they screw cheese sauce up so much, it's not a high bar.

The Raspberry Concrete Mixer or shake can hit hard though. Almost enough to let me think "Ooh, a serving of fruit!" and briefly forget that as part of the American processed diet it is quite literally poisoning me in various ways. They are good about allowing custom mix-ins.

This isn't bad, I just miss Southern food.

It is very hard for me to believe that negative review as I have always had an extremely positive experience at the Mineral Point Culver's. Staff is friendly and was very helpful to me the night that I had forgotten my cell phone and needed to be in contact with an out-of-town cousin who was supposed to meet me and had an emergency. I have never ever had bad food from this Culver's. I usually drive-thru but I have eaten inside many times also and would take my 98 year old mother to get soup and a turtle sundae frequently. And when she could not go to Culver's anymore I would drive through and take it to her! Great job Culver's Mineral Point!

This is the SLOWEST Culver’s I have ever been to! Went once, waited 20 mins for two scoops of custard… thought it was just busy or an off day. tldr: This is technically a Culver’s, but with the food, staff, and atmosphere of a foreclosed K-Mart.

I am genuinely concerned for humanity that this particular establishment has anything higher than a 2 star rating - the issues are nonstop and I’ve eaten here so many times. Today was just finally bad enough to leave a review.

It’s at least a half hour wait to get anything, no matter time of day or what you order. There will certainly be 4-5 different family’s children inside having a hunger induced fit because they have also been waiting for 25 minutes at that point.

It doesn’t matter if you use the drive through or eat inside - your order is going to be incorrect, if you get anything at all. Don’t bring it back to the employees though, because outside of one dude - it will somehow always be exclusively new employees literally every single time and they definitely don’t know what to do.

The place appears to be busy, based on the number of cars in the parking lot, but it has to be exclusively employees’ cars because there’s never anyone in the building itself, outside of dinner time.

It’s my own fault for continuing to go here after what has to be at least ten consecutive bad experiences, but when a picky kid will eat something; you sort of have to deal with it. I’d rather my child eat something and I don’t get any food than him scream at me. When it’s his special night to pick, who am I to deprive him of something anyone can make better (grilled cheese)?

All this being said, I must be in some sort of alternate reality where these issues only plague this location when I’m there and never any other time. I hope I’m simply cursed and others enjoy this location, but I think they finally broke me this time.

In all seriousness though, it’s always a half hour at the shortest from ordering to receiving food - at best. You think one of the times a manager or someone would address the throngs of unhappy people and maybe offer a free scoop of custard or something, but I’m not sure this location has management or leadership. It might just sort of exist as a leaderless organism - and that would make more sense than whatever they are doing at this location.

I pulled into the drive-thru at this Culver’s at 10:55 PM—yes, five minutes before closing. I get that it’s close to the end of the night, but instead of politely letting me know they were about to close and asking me to come back another time, they went ahead and took my order… with a serious attitude.

After every item I ordered, the person on the speaker responded with comments like “Really??” in an obviously aggravated tone. It wasn’t subtle. Then I could hear staff in the background talking about it while I was still at the speaker.

It made me super uncomfortable, and honestly, I’m sitting here waiting for my food wondering if it’s even being handled properly. If it’s such an issue to serve someone close to closing time, just say so—don’t be passive-aggressive and unprofessional about it.

This experience was disappointing, and I hope management takes a serious look at how their night crew handles customer interactions.

Culver's is a vastly superior alternative to other fast food chains. The food is higher quality and, here's the thing, they serve it to you fresh. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to McDonald's and they gave me stale cold fries. That has never happened at Culver's. You have to wait maybe a whopping 5 minutes for your food, but when it arrives it's always fresh. That's a huge plus in my book.
My favorite items are the Sourdough and Swiss melts.
If I had to offer a criticism it would be the buns for the regular burgers. I'm not a fan of squishy untoasted soft buns. They should at least toast them.

Hands down, the best Culver's we have ever been to. We walked into a welcoming atmosphere where every employee was polite and smiling. The young man who took our order was very kind and patient, never rushed me when I took a minute to decide what I wanted. While we waited, another gentleman who was working hard on keeping the dining room spotless welcomed us to Culver's and was very kind. After a short wait, we were brought our food by who I assume is the manager or perhaps owner of this establishment. He was extremely polite and genuine, asking if there was anything else he could get us. (Our order was to go.) We thanked him and on our way out the ENTIRE staff said "Thanks for coming, have a wonderful day." I've never had such excellent service anywhere I've ever dined. And the food was hot and fresh and perfect! 100 out 10, highly recommend! Great job here, everyone...please keep being an example as to what great service is and how kindness adds to the dining experience because it's very rare these days. :)

I usually don’t have too many issues with the food itself, but the desserts are super skimpy on toppings. I’d rather spend $5 on Ben & Jerrys than a mixer where 1/3 of the spoonfuls are just ice cream. The reason I gave them two stars was because I normally eat at this restaurant all the time from work but on veterans Day and I'm a vet, the only thing they're giving veterans free is a scoop of ice cream with any topping, not even a free meal. Roadhouse gives you a full steak dinner if you go eat at their restaurant.
