THE number one Culver's in the Midwest. So much cared is given to making this Culver's look better than any other. I don't know if it is the atmosphere of English garden landscapes, but the food and custard always taste better here, and the service is the best. We live in Stoughton but will drive the few miles off we want good Culvers food. They seem to have the crews working well together.

I got drive through like 2 times in, one each in the first weeks of August. I think the cashiers need to do better math. I was shorted .24 cents the first time and a penny the next week. Change shouldn't be complicated. Good food. Just disappointed as all money helps. I always make sure to take my seat belt off at the window, have both hands out to collect the change then put it in the cup holders so if I forget to grab any, it's there. There was no change there. So their math was wrong with change. Please improve on this as I don't want to continue to lose money to you.

Do you like Culvers, but want to hate it? Try McFarland's location. Avoid this location. Drive the extra miles. That time will more than be made up in either service time (this location is glacial by Culvers' standards) service quality (if you have an order waiting, you *will* be ignored, since conversations and phones are more important than customers), and just assume that your order won't be correct. Every single time, without fail, this location has found a new and interesting way to screw it up. The worst, and most useless, are the managers. Do you like being treated like imposition for asking for your order to be the same *meat* that you ordered? Do you like being told that they made what you ordered, despite the receipt saying something different? Do you like being ignored while a manager discusses schedules between conversations about the Draft? Well, these are just that managers for you! The last time we were in, we were going to order some sides (you know, their biggest profit item) but after being ignored for 15 minutes, we just left (because, you know, listening to a manager chat with employees while giving us the side eye while we waited for our mobile order was a huge incentive to stick around. They also managed to screw that up, but 20 minutes for a Mixer was already a commitment.)

We will never be using the McFarland Culvers again. When the auto-reply apologizes for our miserable experiences, I just want it to know there is nothing this location can do short of purging its management and cleaning up the staff culture that can make this location anything other than a miserable experience.

The portions are obviously being affected by the tariffs. I order a two plain in a dish and it’s less than the amounts of my wife’s one scope turtle that she ordered. This is not the first time. $13.07 for two ice cream dishes that was less than a pint combined is straight up ridiculous.

I’ve never given a Culver’s a review much less thought to give a negative one. And this review isn’t a gut reaction to today’s experience. This location. has been going downhill for a long time. Today, the older lady cashier that has been there for awhile was super rude and short - per usual. No smile. Just a “get on with it” attitude. And today, no one was able to honor our coupons because their “system wouldn’t let them”. It’s not that big of a deal but they weren’t expired and we had two simple $1.00 off basket deals (we were purchasing two basket meals). You can use more than one coupon per transaction. The teenager the lady sent over to figure things out said we can’t do it because of the system and walked away as well. And the few times we’ve gone the teens running the place are being super obnoxious and goofing off at the front counter. Really disappointing because the Culver’s focus on quality, cleanliness and customer service that they’re famous for is no longer in McFarland. I hope the owners read the one star reviews and will start looking at their hiring and training practices a bit more carefully.

This is an absolute 10/10 Culver's. We come here when we work in McFarland and it's always a treat and something we look forward to especially compared to other Culver's in Madison. Staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. They ALL deserve raises and pizza parties. Today we came in and my bf ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it was delivered promptly, shortly afterwards a team member came and informed us they had accidentally given us a spicy chicken sandwich and were already in the process of making the right one. So refreshing to see this type of initiative! Thank you to the wonderful workers at this Culver's for always making our lunch experience a great one.

usually love the food, but my last order was so wrong Im having trouble going back.. My plain burgers both had Freaking pickles touching the bun so there was not a single bite I didnt taste it.. Was the only car waiting, had a curbside order. I followed all instructions, said I was there, then proceeded to wait 15 minutes for nobody to bring out my food. Walked in and saw at least 10 employees chatting and not working on anything. They seemed confused about my order’s existence. Made my order wrong twice. I ordered a 1 scoop hot fudge and hot Carmel and a another 1 scoop with hot carmel. Both were not made with hot fudge or Carmel and when my daughter went in they still didn't get the right. I did not receive a receipt at all. I don't do fast food unless I am desperate. Well, today I was desperate and really wanted, hot fresh food so chose Culver's. Plus I am a mile down the road so super fresh, fast food. Got there and no one was in front, no one behind (at first), ordered, paid, got my number and around the corner I sit. Took a bit, but hey, that's the price of made to order. Got the food, drove down the street and hurried in to eat. To my dismay my food was cold. Cheese slices not even hardly melted, fries a tad bit warmer. Not good food at all, not close to the standard of other Culver's I have had. Fries had a strange aftertaste, just very disappointing. This was my worst Culver's food that I have had. It's been a minute since I've gone, is it not made to order anymore? Don't think I will go to this one again.

I am disappointed as I type this review because I had to witness the manager use the restroom inside of the stall and return to work without washing his hands claiming he was in a such a rush to get back to work to help the drive through out that urgently needed him. Worst Culver's visit of my life. 😭
I was running late for work and wanted food quick and I love Culver's, so decided to stop omw. Went through the drive-thru. I told them I'd have a gluten allergy, said all I wanted was a piece of chicken and American cheese on it. (Also got a side of broccoli with cheese sauce and a small fry) i get to the window, pay, get my receipt and they charged me for a gluten-free bun... not big deal, I went in and told them i didn't want the bun, that I didn't ask for it. They put the order together, guy shows me the chicken... all veggies on it. Even the lady at the counter told him all I wanted was a piece of chicken with cheese on it. So they redo it. Shows me again. Chicken and cheese, but they put the cheese on the bottom so it stuck to the paper inside and wouldn't come off. Then the guys looking at me like why aren't you leaving?? I said you charged me for the gluten-free bun that I didn't want. Guy deadpan's at me... then finally gives me my refund. Making it seem like it was MY FAULT. I was nice and respectful the whole time, cause accidents happen. But I'll never stop at this location again. 😭🤬

Had a pretty awful interaction with one of the employees. I ordered 2 items, one of which was a medium drink. Both items were entered into the screen correctly, however upon being cashed out, I was never handed the drink cup. Not a huge deal, right? So I go to grab one of the drink cups that are sitting out on the COUNTERS, and the cashier grabs the cup out of my hand and snaps at me, claiming that I didn’t purchase a drink. I could understand being uncertain about whether or not a customer purchased a drink with long orders, but like I said, the drink was one of TWO items. This is not an uncommon occurrence either. I go here frequently, and I’d say more times than not, I HAVEN’T been handed my cup. It’s a relatively minor issue, but being snapped at was enough to make me write this review.

There are 2 takeaways here:

- Make sure customers are handed their cup UPON ORDERING. This has been an issue far too many times.

- If it is that much of a PROBLEM having customers grabbing drinks that they PAID for, the drink cups should be OFF the counter. There is literally no reason to have them there. There are cup dispensers behind the counter for that EXACT reason.

I am happy to remove this review if management sees and fixes this issue.

This Culver location went to great lengths to landscape BEAUTIFULLY. One of the cleanest culvers I've ever seen. The atmosphere inside is absolutely amazing, beautiful orchids and the layout gives so much privacy. Phenomenal job guys.

Been coming to this Culver’s my whole life and it’s always been the best. Now there’s punk teenagers running the place and they can never get anything right, or care to correct the issue. Ordered a Wisconsin Swiss Melt, double basket. Noticed my sandwich had a bun, not rye bread but thought it was simple mistake. 2nd bite the flavor was way off and was disgusting. 50 min, and we never got our food.

Went through drive-through and waited. After 30 min of watching everyone leave with food, I went in to find out the status of my order. They gave me a bag from the counter. When I got back to my vehicle, I realized it wasn't mine. Went back in and waited in line again for them to offer me that food. I declined and asked for what I ordered. After 5 minutes of them looking around and not being able to find my order, I asked for a refund. 15 minutes later, I was finally refunded and left with no food. All they said was, " this is not your fault. "...

Would recommend not pulling to one of the waiting spots because I am sure the car next to us had the same issue.

I also watched them drop someone's food in the parking lot, lots of time to people watch, pick it up, and give it to someone.

We've been visiting this Culver's for about 16 years and, while it's still a standard for us, unfortunately the service continues to deteriorate. Almost every other visit now at least one item is wrong or missing (we can't just count items - we have to open and inspect each one before leaving), and lately when I go back to correct the order I hardly even get an apology. The people are still very nice, but service is very much going in the wrong direction.

Very friendly and helpful staff, even went & got me a cup when asked if OK to get one for ice water.
I got the Large crinkle cut fries with lots of ketchup.
Perfectly done on both sides, in and out. Light golden brown on outside, and fluffy but not greasy on inside. Full potato flavor and served at perfect temperature for eating. One of my all time favorite places for stopovers when I'm on the road & travelling light.
I highly recommend this location, because of it's very homey atmosphere. A very nice patio outside with plenty of comfy lawn type chairs & large bike rack nearby.
It feels like a place where the family and friends can go to relax & enjoy some wholesome hot food, with excellent custard to push it up to the top of the list.

Both the lemon ice and the root beer my daughter got tasted terrible like the machines were dirty. We stopped to celebrate a softball win and with all the excitement my daughter accidentally broke the plastic table number. Instead of talking to an adult the manager came over and yelled at our children. I offered to pay for the table number and was told no he was sick of these kids always coming in there. I don’t get to go out to eat often, so when I do I always pick Culver’s. Todays lunch was bad! We should of left when they had so many workers behind the counter but nobody was taking orders. When someone was finally told to take our order you could tell she didn’t want to. We ordered two single cheeseburger baskets with everything but onions . We go to get our drinks. Our shoes were sticking to the dirty floor. The drink area was a mess . We had to clean a table because they were all dirty. Our cheeseburger baskets came but only one had no cheese or mustard. The lettuce was gross the bun was wet.
We didn’t send it back because afraid of what we would get back. We ordered ice cream they gave us a number we went back to our table. 20 minutes later I go looking for our order. Once again lots of workers but nobody working.
I can see mistakes happening if the place was busy but it wasn’t. There was no reason the tables couldn’t be wiped down and the drink area clean and and orders be sent out right and not just slapped together with nasty lettuce and wet bun.
I have never been so disappointed by Culver’s!
