This location is an absolute embarrassment. I’ve lived in PW my entire life, and I’ve given this restaurant more chances than it deserves. I stood inside for 10 minutes—completely ignored—before finally walking out. I then drove to the Grafton Culver’s, where I was greeted, served in under a minute, and had my food and mixers in hand in eight minutes. On my way home, I drove past the PW location out of curiosity. Nearly everyone who had been in line ahead of me was still waiting for their food. That’s not “fast food”—that’s incompetence on full display.
If you’re going to charge prices comparable to a sit-down restaurant (plus expected tips), the least you can do is train a staff capable of basic service. This location has consistently failed for years—slow service, botched orders, and zero accountability. I’ve given you chance after chance, and every single time, you prove that poor management is running this place into the ground.
The general manager or owner clearly has no idea how to operate a business. They’re coasting on the Culver’s name while delivering service that would embarrass even the lowest-tier franchise. At this point, Culver’s corporate should step in, shut this location down, and hand it to someone more competent. It’s a shame I have to drive five extra minutes just to experience what this location should have been delivering all along. NEVER will I be giving my business to them again…
P.S. Don’t bother having your manager or some other canned corporate response offer me a free meal or a gift card. That ship has long sailed. You’ve lost both the opportunity and my respect. A comped burger won’t fix years of incompetence, and disservice. I’ll happily spend my money elsewhere at a place that values its customers.

Traveling for work, ordered ahead 25 mins,went in and wasnt acknowledged by the 8ish people there. The only decent worker was the 1 woman at the register. I was handed my shakes, but nothing else was ready. Close to 10 mins later I was given my food...while my shakes had been sitting there the entire time. There's a difference between having fun and messing around.

Went through the drive through on the morning of 9/2/25. After waiting a while my food came out without my raspberry milkshake. The employee went back in to get it. Waiting again. Employee comes out with something that was not a raspberry milkshake. He goes back in. Waiting again.. Employee comes and says here’s your strawberry milkshake. Tell him again, raspberry.. Employee goes inside and so do i. I ask for a manager. Tell him the issue . They give me the shake but no apology on the service or anything. Manager did not say anything. Never again. Food was already cold by the time i left the parking lot.

On my first visit I order 2 shakes and it took 40 minutes to get in the drive thru. Not an exaggeration. Horrible service all around.

I ordered in the drive thru, ordered just a fish sandwich combo. I pulled forward as instructed. Another truck with 2 people inside ordered hot and cold items. They received their order before me. I then went inside and saw my order just sitting on the counter, in the bag with the receipt attached. I know I should not have to go retrieve my own order. I believe it was intentional, because that was the only thing on the counter. The sandwich was good and hot though!

From the South, don't get tea anywhere up North! This place has paper thin hamburger patties, you'll need a triple. Cheese curds are less than mediocre. Hope you get your food. If you don't, they treat you like a thief. A member of our party didn't get his food. They don't hand you a receipt, it comes out on your tray of food. He had to pull up his bank app and show where he paid. They still acted like he was lying. I guess it because you're still hungry after your tiny burger. Bathrooms were smelly and dirty.

I sat in curdside pickup for forty minutes. At the twenty minute mark I went through the drive thru in frustration and was told to pull back to the side while it was “sorted out.”
Fifteen minutes later, with nothing, a kid came out with the wrong order. When we told him it wasn’t ours, he left and someone else came back and told us “the system went down, you should get a refund,” (still haven’t) and “you can just go through the drive thru.”
We left instead. Second time this has happened at this location. Won’t be a third time.

Every single time I come here my order is wrong. I typically order through the drive through. My order is very simple, and I can count on one hand the amount of times my order has been 100% correct. I’m either missing bacon, fries, the burger comes with a bun that I didn’t order, or a combination of errors. They always make it right, but I come here so frequently that the issues with order verification not being fixed yet are either complete ignorance or a lack of effort from everyone involved.

Wow what a tiny custard cone! The smallest I have ever had in my life! Only 1" of custard above the cone. It was a baby cone for $3.68! The Grafton Culvers are larger but all of your competitors have substantially larger single-scoop cones. I told the young woman "Wow that is tiny!" She said "that is how they do them now." I said "What a waste of money. I will never return." My father had a custard restaurant in Cedarburg in the 1950's, before I was born, so I was raised going to custard restaurants and have always continued. No other custard place, and there are plenty in this area, would ever serve a cone that small! My mistake going to the Port Washington Culvers.

Stopped for dinner on Mar 29th. Ordered a cod dinner and a plain butterburger basket. I asked Ralph who was in the drive thru if he could throw some ketchup in the bag. He said I got you. When I got home and sat down immediately to eat. No ketchup of course and My fish was awful. It was mushy and the breading was falling off. The fries were literally wet. So for $15 I got some coleslaw (which is not the original) and a roll for that price. The butterburger was supposed to be a single. It was a double and came with cheese even though it didnt say cheese on the receipt and I didn't order it that way. If your order takers can't pay attention then they shouldn't be working there. I won't be going to culvers anymore unless they can hire someone that can actually do their job properly! I'd also like to add that it wasn't even busy when I stopped.

I always order ahead and they are always substantially late. On Friday I ordered a fish fry, it was supposed to be ready at 9:21, someone brought it out at 9:53 and then I had to go back there because the order was missing half its stuff. This is three orders in a row now that have been messed up. No one even cares and they've been rude about correcting the orders. This Culver's is substantially more expensive than others. Not worth it for the service you're getting.

Spent 25 minutes waiting for my “mobile order“ to be completed. I literally had to go inside to get them to make my food on a curbside order after waiting 15 minutes on a slow weeknight. Watched several other cars get served who ordered after I did. When called on it, the manager reprint the order and try to claim “it just printed out” like I didn’t watch him hit the reprint button. Not only are they wildly inefficient, if they mess up, they’ll treat you like an idiot for your troubles.

This location was getting better in the past 2 years but it’s really going downhill again. Tonight, I waited in the drive thru and they took 3 different cars orders before ours. On top of that, the order taker kept ringing up one of the items I ordered incorrectly, and I had to keep telling them that they still didn’t change it to the right thing… it took 3 separate times and it was a simple menu item, not a modified one. The order taker also kept asking, “anything else?” Over and over again and it felt like I was being rushed. Tonight is also not the first time I’ve noticed unpleasant changes.
Their service has gone down hill, a LOT. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of the workers are kind, but some new ones are really rude and unpleasant whenever I’m there.
Also, the ice cream scoops are so much smaller than they used to be. A 2 scoop cone is smaller than what a 1 scoop cone used to be. Other ice cream places don’t skimp on their custard. It’s such a skimp portion that I only get ice cream is I have a free scoop coupon.
Things have also gotten wayyyy slower since they added DoorDash. They need more labor for the multiple channels they serve.
I’ve been noticing these changes since the management changed recently. It’s disappointing to see a well liked establishment go downhill like this. If the “owner” or whatever bot comments on these bad reviews, don’t bother replying to this one. Instead, talk to your employees and see what you can do to help them make things easier for themselves and everyone else.

We had lunch there fri.11/15/24 at 2:30 pm lunch was great we thought we would get ice cream at 2 scoop Turtle and Caramel cashew price was on the register $7.19 each up on the menu it said $6.19. When I pointed it out to the person ringing us up she said "I can do anything about it" I said "it's false advertisement". She said back I told the manager to fix this!! came through the drive thru and was told to park and wait with a number, which is pretty normal for culvers. after waiting for a while (10-15ish mins) & seeing other cars come and go my boyfriend decided to go inside to check on the order. he found out it got lost somehow, but the guy working the counter was extremely sympathetic and kind about it. he made sure we got our order as quickly as possible and gave us a few coupons for the trouble. mistakes happen, but great customer service really does make up for it. he didn’t catch the employee’s name, but said that he was blonde— this was sun 11/3 around 6pm.

While I normally love Culver’s, this location struggles. I consistently wait 25-30 minutes for my food, items are forgotten, and there is clear disorganization.
Today, after waiting 25 minutes in line outside, my food arrived. Most of the items were no longer warm, the grilled cheese we ordered was cold and half-cooked, and we were missing an order of fries. When I went inside to get them, there was another customer who had been ahead of me and had been waiting well over 30 minutes. He still did not have his food, but after entering the restaurant it appeared that his order had been sitting out. The ice cream he ordered was completely melted and his food was cold.
While I understand staffing issues, and am completely fine waiting, this location had close to 10 employees all inside, but it seemed that many of them were confused and there was no consistent work order flow.
I’ll definitely continue to eat at Culver’s, but I will avoid this location until changes are made and I would suggest the same to others if they want a positive experience.

The most disappointing Culver’s experience I’ve ever had. Waited for 40 minutes in drive through even though there wasn’t ANYONE ELSE IN LINE. Burger was dry, bread was soggy. They fried RED onions for the patty melt?? (And only one side of the sandwich had any on it?) usually this location never fails so this is was really a shock. Also the teenage window attendant forgot my drink and when my boyfriend reminded him he replied with a passive aggressive comment referring to my boyfriend as “boss.”

I'm a local in Port, and every time we visit, Zach, the 1st Assistant Manager, gives us the best service. He is kind, professional, accurate, and friendly. He makes us feel well cared for and wanting to come back to see him. He meets and exceeds my definition of what the best customer service worker is. Based on the quality of his work that I've seen over the last year, I think he would be a good fit for higher positions within the company as he embodies everything a manager should be. Welcome to the teenagers crèche. This is not the first time I've experienced the atmosphere of being an annoyance and inconvenience to the teenagers playing behind the counters. While I fully understand the desire and need to staff these establishments with willing bodies, it's to the detriment of the customer. Perhaps a matron may be required. Or at least someone who can actually coral this group. Yet again, a simple order required a return to the desk, a conversation, and a wait while the order was remade. My family & I were on our way to our 3rd ever trip to Door County and Port Washington sorta serves as the 1/3 mark on our trip to where it's lunch time.
Saw the sign for Culver's heading north on I-43 and we all love Culver's so why not. Was expecting to see it right away but kept driving till we found it which was roughly a mile away from the interstate.
In every C's venue I've been in, can't say I've ever had a bad experience whether dining in, take-out or drive-thru. Have always had the correct order with scrumptioud fresh hot food delivered with kindness.
I'll take a butter burger over Mcd's, BK or Wendy's any day of the week. Culver's is the fastest growing burger joint and I can see why, IMHO they do things right all the time.
May not be dining at this location anytime soon unless we have another road trip up this way, we live in Lake County IL. Keep up the great customer service and continue servin' that greatness, PW Culver's staff!

We go to this Culver’s all the time. We have had multiple accidents that involved the burgers being undercooked. I myself tried a couple weeks ago, undercooked burger. Multiple times we’ve had gotten food poisoning from the burgers being undercooked. We love Culver’s but do not enjoy the undercooked burgers. My husbands burger we just got (20min ago) and this was his burger tonight. Normally he can eat a little pink but even this was too pink for him.

Your location does a great job and your staff is always pleasant. To the corporates in khakis….One Scoop at 3.29 is shameful! Kids size, 5 spoonfuls at that price is ridiculous.

Culver's is probably my favorite place for a burger and it's always consistent. The crinkle cut fries are always golden brown and have a good flavor. This might sound strange but, If you haven't tried dipping the fries is the Culver's Tartar Sauce, you should! My only complaint is that there is ALWAYS a pretty lengthy (15-20 minutes) line and wait if go during lunch or dinner rush.

The men's bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile and was littered with wet paper towels on counters and floors because the garbage was overflowing.
My food seemed to take longer than what I've come to expect from Culver's, and arrived to the table only slightly above lukewarm.
Overall a Disappointing experience.

We have a Culver’s in our hometown and love it! While traveling pre-4th of July holiday, we stopped at Port Washington and it was horrible; burnt butter double burgers and overdone onion rings. Very disappointed when you consider the price for these items. The other issue was to floors were very slick. Everyone was complaining and seniors were scared to walk. My handicapped husband almost fell twice! Keep some sand or salt for high humid days to add some grit to your floors as it is a lawsuit waiting to happen (let alone people injured)! Next time I will know better to check reviews while traveling.

I have been a loyal Culver’s customer for about 15 years. I eat at a Culver’s location almost twice a week. This is the first time I have ever been to this location and unfortunately, one of my worst Culver’s experiences. I waited over 24 minutes for my food inside. I asked several of the staff members for my order status and they all looked at me like I was crazy. I understand it is lunch rush time and things take longer, but don’t make it seem like I’m the crazy one.

Honestly, I’ve been to a lot of Culver’s, and this one was definitely below par for the normal experience. It took a lot longer to get our food than normal, and when we got it it was all a bit like-warm and not fresh feeling. They were quite skimpy with the grilled onions on my burger, and my mother in law’s salad didn’t look fresh. The fries were about medium in their heat and freshness. I’m sure it was a fluke, but we all felt like it was just a bit “blah” today. Sad.

They have made some gross changes to my favorite salad, "Strawberry Fields ". I don't know what they got in there now, but it's different. Their meat is different also, the meat in the salad too. How they manage to make watery fish? I'll try one more time to see if it was just a fluke, but im not feeling good about my last visit.

I like Culver's but we have a few problems of late. I wait All year for that Strawberry Fields Salad so I'm so disappointed that the salad is altered and the lettuce was weird and not fresh and the cod fish I normally get tastes watered down. I don't know why fish is tasting like water but, I don't like these changes and wish it was like it use to be. But they definitely have great customer service and they are quick getting your food together.

I was debating getting a shake but I didn't think they had anything with banana so I didn't order it. When we went to pay, someone asked what I mumbled about and I said bananas. He informed me they DO IN FACT have bananas so I ordered a chocolate banana shake with chocolate bits and it made my freakin' day.

Somehow it takes 20+ minutes for this place to scoop the pre-made flavor of the day. If you have a lot of time to kill check out your local Port Washington Culver's. Perhaps you could watch paint dry, or grass grow, or ice age glaciers slide across the Kettle Moraine while you wait for your order.
