This was my first time coming here, and I won’t be back . We were here yesterday, and it was abysmal. Kudos to the atmosphere but that’s all it had going. Service was extremely poor, slow to get food, slow to get drinks. Wouldn’t have been so bad, but the main dish was cold…fries were hot…everyone had cold food except the cheese garlic bread. Then after waiting about an hour or more for food - we asked the waitress - we are waiting on his food yet “oh I’m sorry I forgot to tell you we were out of shrimp - I’m sorry, the kitchen staff didn’t tell me until 15 min after I put the order in”. Ok what about the 45 minutes between there?

I get it happens, but cold food, poor service, and completely forgetting about a customer is unacceptable. Especially with the price tag this place is offering. If I wanted to pay for atmosphere, I’d go on vacation.

I've been coming to this location almost since it opened at first 2-3x a week and gradually down to 1-2 time per month (currently). About 7 months ago the pizza just went from amazing to just "good", not sure what changed. Also about the same time the portion sizes for the peices of cake were cut in half (about) but they didn't change the price. These things are somewhat minor but I hope my feedback can help. I just got a piece of red velvet cake today when I originally wanted chocolate (called ahead to order chocolate) and was told when I got there they were out of chocolate so thats why I had to settle for red velvet. It was so dry and dissapointing. Rest of the food is pretty decent. Staff mostly brings it but more and more I feel like just a number coming here.

Went here to celebrate my college graduation with my two oldest kids. Sat down, waiter came and asked if we were ready. We were unfamiliar with the menu so said we needed a minute. About ten minutes later, he came back, took our order. Our waters were empty, but he didn't notice and didn't bring out more. Another man brought our food out, missing part of the order. This other man got it fixed quickly, but still didn't get us more water. We sat and ate casually. Original waiter never came out to check on us. The restaurant wasn't busy. Tuesday at 4pm - it was dead. We were there for 45 minutes and still no waiter. Sat around with empty plates and empty waters, but we had to go. I left cash on the table. I hope it was enough. I had to estimate based on what we recalled from when we ordered.

A bare minimum of customer service isn't difficult. Take the order. Notice empty drinks and ask about refills. When the food comes out, wait a couple minutes then come check to see if everything is good. When plates are empty, collect them and hand over the bill. Ask how everything was. When most of the tables in the restaurant are empty, you should be able to focus even more on those few.

I am not impressed. For being located in a supposed "luxury" area, this restaurant sucks. Food was okay, but definitely not good enough that the restaurant can rely on that alone to get people back.

Didn’t write a review when it happened, but a few months ago I ordered the pulled pork sandwich here and as soon as I got home I was vomiting profusely amongst other things. We recently hosted a surprise party at D2 and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Special shoutout to Brent and Cassie — they were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. From the setup to the service, everything was top-notch. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate. Highly recommend D2 for any special occasion!

I called D2 a day before bringing in a group of about 50 people. I did not have an exact number to provide the staff but Ian was very helpful and made sure no matter the size of the group they would be ready to accommodate. Our group was set up in a large area where we could all interact but also have seating. Sidney was an excellent server taking care of many separate tabs and food orders and was friendly and attentive to our entire group. Thank you to Tara and staff for providing a great environment for our group and for the excellent service!

We loved going to this place till we had our wedding in September of this year here.

We booked this place a year in advance and within that year, management changed 3 times. We didn’t get notified till I emailed them to update some things. Communication was not good at all! Managers didn’t communicate events at all.
During the month of the wedding the manager and I went back and forth with texts to make sure things were perfect. But the manager didn’t update a lot of things on their side. The day before, we went in to set up some decor. Her fiancé came up and introduced himself as she was not feeling well. Day of, he ended up taking control of the event even though she was there.

The Groom and his party showed up day of at 9am to help set up. And no one was there to open the doors for them. I had to call manager and she told me to tell them to go knock on the other door. One of the cooks saw them but wouldn’t let them in. Once they got in, they realized the reception side was not set up at all which manager told me over the phone it would be set up. The layout that the manager created for the reception was not updated. Good thing I had a binder with a layout that the first manager we worked with gave me and they went with that.
Ceremony was also not set up correctly and we didn’t find out till day of when I had to call to find out that we had too many people for the smaller room so chairs were set up differently due to fire hazard.

As for dinner, we did a buffet style for dinner but for some reason plates were at the guest tables instead of at the buffet table. So all the guest had to carry their plates up with them for food. Food wasn’t being restocked, till guests complained.

We booked for both rooms for the whole day and for some reason the divider was still up. I had to ask my husband why that’s up blocking the entrance and the nice breeze. And he said “they would charge us extra for the other room”. We had to get one of his cousins to remove the divider.
Manager never came out once to talk to us!!! Which makes me sad cause during our meeting with her we loved her and were so happy that she took over. But thank god for her fiancé. He was our bartender and I guess he took her place as manager. Even when we had to pay, he was the one who took the payment.

To this day, we still haven’t gotten an apology or anything from the manager!

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant because we had a gift card. We were excited to try it out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a server who immediately took our order. Once our food arrived, we realized that the bacon mac & cheese burger was kraft mac & cheese on top and we were charged an additional two dollars on the check for the bacon, even though it was included on the description in the menu for a lower price. Our server did not check on us one single time while we were eating and we had to flag down another server to get the ranch we had asked for when ordering.When he came to our table at the end, our food was already gone and he dropped our check immediately. We will not be back.

We met at D2 in Hobart because we are in the area for a family reunion. My cousin was waiting for us and then we had a total of 4. When we came in we saw super dirty tables. I knew then we would have bad service but anyway we were here. I approached the bartender because she was standing there doing absolutely nothing. I asked if there was anyone waiting and she scowled like we shouldn't talk to her. I did find my cousin but she was sitting at a table with no menus. We waited while the servers were clearly busy. So I went back to the bartender who had zero customers at the time and asked for menus. Instead of giving us menus she barked to the busy servers to bring us menus. So it did take a while to get things. We ordered 3 bloody Mary's and water. The bloody Mary's are no frill but very good! We ordered nachos with ground beef. They were hot and the toppings were fresh. It had the can type nacho cheese which is not my favorite but they were still good. 3 of us ordered the Friday fish specials. I had the perch sandwich. 2 had the 3 piece fish fry. One person had the pulled pork sandwich. All of the food was good, hot, a big portion and a fair price. I person ordered an additional bloody Mary. While this was going on a table nearby of 4 elderly people asked the bartender, who continued to be in a vegetative state, if their food was coming out. The bartender started huffing about and started barking at the servers. She is such a rude person. We would happily ate at the bar or had drinks there if we would have been invited to. I can understand she was not about to help the servers during this busy lunch because she herself did not have many customers the whole time we were there. And she probably lost herself potential customers with her attitude. I'm still going to give 4 stars. That's for the cooks and friendly servers.

Five of us recently dined here on a Friday looking forward to the Perch Plate. Four of us had the Perch and it was dreadful. The amount of actual fish in each fillet was miniscule and then it was coated with an awful breading that when deep fried just tasted like grease. The restaurant is fine and the wait staff were friendly. Other folks seem to be enjoying other types of food. Just stay away from the deep fried Perch. It's awful.

I write this as I sit at a table in the outdoor area at D2 in Hobart. We have been here for one hour (not an exaggeration) and have not seen a server. we have asked another server to help us find ours with no luck, and finally returned to the hostess to ask for a server. We have ordered our drinks from the bartender, and finally after STILL NOT SEEING ANYONE, wrote our order in crayon on the back of a kids menu and handed it to the bartender. He told us he would send the manager over to address us, and he has been serving shots continuously to the attractive females at the end of the bar instead of helping us. If we didn’t have kids with us, we would have left and gone somewhere else. But now we wait for food. Hopefully it is worth the wait. Will probably never come back.

D2's hosted our wedding reception of ~150 people, and it was fantastic. Marisa, D2's Event Coordinator, was very professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire planning process. We had their baked chicken and tenderloin tip buffet which was also very good. Would highly recommend both D2s and Marisa for all your party planning needs!

I want to love this place. The atmosphere is great and outdoor space is wonderful on a warm summer evening. I've given multiple chances hoping each bad experience was a fluke. Experiences range from rubbery food, bad pizza to bartender forgetting to place order (happened on two separate occasions!) . For my latest visit, I ordered the salmon with lemon pepper seasoning. The salt was so heavy it was not edible. The wild rice was mush. Side salad fine. I took one bite and notified server. He offered replacement but considering mostly every experience I've had came with issues I was fed up and refused a replacement. Server took the food and when presented bill, he was only authorized to remove half price for the meal! They took the food! Since the salad was served first obviously that was eaten but not worth half the meal. Apparently there was not a manager present so nobody could void my meal. Sorry D2, lost me as a customer.

Large group (200+) party. Buffet of heavy hors d'oeuvres was excellent. Large room was a little noisy as most venues of this type are. They had a bit of trouble with the air conditioning, but not intolerable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would definitely use them again. Update 11-15-23: Late lunch. Excellent burgers and wraps. Bar atmosphere is nice with lots of room around a rectangular bar, lots of TV's, and tables & booths. Great service from Melissa! We'll be back!

Today we went to D2 with friends like we often do most times 2x week. We always have drinks and then dinner. 3 of us ordered the chicken special today one had a patty melt and one had soup. 2 chicken and the soup came out and 15 min later the patty melt came out and I did not get my chicken for 20 minutes. Everyone was done eating and I had to ask where my food was. When it came out I said I didn’t want it but I got the check and it was on there. The assistant manager said if I took it they would give me 50% off. After waiting 20-25 minutes it would have been good customer service to just give it to me but for $6 they made a regular customer unhappy. The server was good but very poor on the assistance manager!!! Hope they learn from this review!!

I’ll be honest I don’t leave reviews, good or bad. And I’ve experienced some bad food before, but this is the worst.
My son ordered wings with mild sauce with more on the side. The server even confirmed it.
When the wings came out they looked orange and tasted rancid, but the house sauce was brown and mild. I told the server this was not the right sauce and not what we expected. She then left saying she would take care of it. Expecting new wings, she came back with the same rancid sauce in a cup. I explained that the wing sauce was the problem.
After getting no where, except her saying I wish there was something I could do about 3-4 times, (Which she could have done by just getting what was ordered or taking the wings of the check) I asked for the bill and left with a full plate of wings left behind. I even laughed to myself when asked if we wanted a box for them.
It’s sad because the place looks nice. But I guess I know why most people were at the bar and only a couple food tables had people seated.
My sons 2nd time there… which he said it was okay the first time. It was my first and last.
I see a lot of reviews were the food was bad, but no responses on how they can make it up to you, other than give us another shot.

I have a mixed experience here. I live down the road of this place and I come sorta often. If you go on the weekends it seems to just be under staffed. Iv had it where it took forever to be seated even though there were a bunch of empty tables, iv been forgotten about and just eat at the bar and iv had one time where we got sat down and served right away. So it really is a hit or miss. I do enjoy the chicken dinners on Sunday. Don't go on Tuesday and think you will have a good atmosphere to talk. some lady does trivia and will blast your ears a new one with her one speaker. So maybe hold off till Wednesday haha

Came here on a company farewell party for a fellow co-worker. Had a head count of about 18 people. The service was extremely fast. The appetizers came out within 10 minutes. I originally gave this place a bad review because I did have a horrible waitress and the food was poor at best. It was just an off night. I went there again to give it a shot and the waiter Greg was fan freakingtastic. I was in a very uncomfortable situation meeting up with a friend I haven't seen in years and she ended up being an entire embarrassment to me and everyone else around her. We love D2, come here all the time since we live just across the street but for the first time I left there feeling so uncomfortable that we had to leave. A few friends and I were enjoying some drinks at the bar when I started to notice one of the managers that was training a new bartender being so rude to her trainee that she had to go to the bathroom because she was crying. I bartend too so I understand that shifts can be long and tiring and that it can be frustrating to work with or train someone completely new to the job but that is why she is in training. It just seemed that the constant demands and degrading behavior towards the trainee from the manager was only putting the trainee down and discouraging her rather than supporting and teaching her the job that she is intending to do. It seems that this manager/employee works a lot so you would think that if she wanted a break she would train incoming employees with a better attitude so they look forward to coming to work, not leaving at the end of the night crying.

We went on Saturday evening. Everything was going well until after we ordered. We never saw our server again until she brought out our bill. Someone from the kitchen dropped off our food. No one ever checked on us to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything. My BBQ pulled pork sandwich had no BBQ sauce on it. (Very dry tasting). My husband’s Bacon Mac N cheese had no bacon. We would have liked these things corrected, but since our server never came back, it really didn’t matter. When I mentioned that she never returned to our table, she got all defensive. We did not receive our receipt after we paid with card. I guess with everything else we shouldn’t have expected that either. If we decide to go to D2 again, it will be in Ashwaubenon.

My husband's truck broke down last weekend and the closest parking lot we could find was at D2. After a while, I was hungry and figured, why not go inside!? I'm so glad I did! The gentleman behind the bar was very kind and hospitable. Not only that, but the food I ordered was delicious!! The restaurant's atmosphere was very cleanly and pleasant to dine within. A few hours later, I went back inside (still waiting for a tow), and asked to have my waterbottle refilled for my pups, hubs, and I - without a beat the young man filled it - and even asked if I wanted ice. Nice new sports bar - great atmosphere- but with all the flat screen TVs they only could get one channel - food was good but not great especially for the price. We sat at the bar and when we ordered our food the bartender told us soup was included - when we got the bill it was not - she said oh sorry my mistake but never took it off the bill - it was an extra $9 - not a big deal but a deal breaker for us - we won’t be back.

We hoped for some fresh food.Was regrettable and disappointing. Bread,buns, deep-fried, and heart damaging. No flavor.We also felt abit confused on menu prices. We each ordered a sandwich which we calculated to be around $15.00 and each ended up to paying $25 ( not including tip). So read carefully. Go elsewhere.

Terrible. I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s been consistently awful each time. Especially earlier today, we ended up walking out because we sat there as if we were invisible for almost 20 minutes. The staff, although they had plenty of time to socialize, had no intentions of helping us. It wasn’t even busy!! The person who manages/owns this place should be embarrassed. I’ve never seen any evidence of effort by front or back of house staff. It’s a shame because it’s a nice building in a great location but nothing else to offer. Will not return. Do NOT recommend.

We live in Hobart and are minutes away from this location. Went Thursday night to listen to the gentleman playing in the outside bar. Ordered drinks during happy hour and were given chips for our free drink. When it was time to redeem the chip at 7:15 we were told happy hour ended at 6:30 and we could not use our chips, strike one. During the music some youngsters were allowed to set up a cornhole game. Inconsiderate to the musician and the folks who came to listen to him, strike two. My daughter and her friend joined us at 7:15 and ordered their drinks and food. Food was served after 8 and was cold, strike 3. D2 made a huge investment, the bar and outside area are beautiful unfortunately we will not be coming back.

Went and had a seat at a table. Waited 15 minutes while one employee was folding napkins and ignoring us. When she did bring us a menu, we ended up waiting another 10 minutes and left. At least acknowledge customers even if your busy or short staffed.

Was there for a reunion. The food was great. The waiters and waitresses were very nice. Everything was promptly refilled. Would like to stop in for a burger sometime. Only complaint is those black chairs in the event room. Horrible chairs. 🤦‍♀️ Would be awful to go to a wedding there and be stuck on that uncomfortable chair all evening. I'm just saying. You might want the rethink those chairs.🤷‍♀️

On the advice of a friend, we tried the broasted chicken. Over cooked, so it was dry. Told the waitress, and she gave the deer in the headlights look. And on top of that,she brought the great salad WITH the meal instead of before, so that by the time we ate the salad, the chicken was cool. Overall, would not recommend until they can get competent employees, to cook and serve. A week later our son- in-law said they tried D2'S and after ordering a burger medium rare, it came like shoe leather. Might be a good place to stop for a drink but not for the food. Don't waste your time/ money.

4/13/22 Poor experience. Started ok and went south after a few drinks. Three of us sat at the bar. Wasn’t too busy. Took awhile to get food menus after we asked. Then sat with them for at least another 10 minutes while trying to flag down the bartender. She acknowledged us and made no effort to take our order. Apparently she was too busy doing shots with her buds and running credit cards. We left and took our business elsewhere and had a great meal.

This is our second time eating here, some items are decent others are terrible. The prices are also really high and have been going up. The garlic bread and pizza in the pictures were $13 and $18 respectively. The garlic bread description said "mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, garlic herb compound butter". What I got is something a kid would make... Too bad too, great location for us and the building is very nice. Expected much more since they have 4 locations with pretty good reviews but it seems like my experience is not a fluke. We will not be coming back, can't recommend it either
