Very unpleasant atmos and bad food.
We should have left once we’d walked in and heard how loud it was. Gringo food—fine. Order at the bar and a runner brings the food to the table—fine. We ordered guac & chips and two entrees. However, the runner left us with no silverware or napkins, and when we asked for some, she brought us a big handful of plastic silverware, like they were ketchup packets. The guac was in a ½ cup to go container with a lid on. Would you rather the customers got take out than ate in? Because that’s what it felt like.
Guac was good but a very small amount. Chips had a gross spice powder that appeared to have turmeric in it. Chimichangas were mostly gross moist tortilla. I picked out and ate the chicken. My partner also picked the meat out of his tacos and left the tortillas.
Any taco truck in town has better food for half the price and is happy to have you! If you’re in this area, I recommend the Feliz truck down on Brown Deer.

We were in the area for my kid's soccer tournament and we stopped in because the reviews were great and everything looked good. And who doesn't like tacos and margies? I'm so glad we did. Nothing special about them. You want to skip the rice and the beans as they are not even close to being almost good. I am Mexican and cook a lot of authentic Mexican food and I can tell this rice is not Mexican and the beans, honestly, I have tasted better out of a tin can. First time here and the value was all in the cash register. 3 three small tacos for 14.00 with little ingredients. No lettuce, tomatoes or cheese, but they seem to think the double flour tortilla makes up for it. It does not. I can get a huge stack of of tortillas in a bag at the store for three bucks. If you are going to charge this much then dont disappoint by being stingy. Increase the tortilla size and quality to one that can be grilled a little and add some substance that is more than a couple of bites. Who wants a taco where OVER 50% of its weight is the tortilla. Margaritas could use more punch too for the price. Get it together and give people what they want, you will get more business that way and more $$$$$.

This place was great! Just be forewarned if you get their hottest salsa you might regret it the next day. It was our first time trying and we'll definitely be back. We got the lamb birrah tacos in the lamb birrah torta. That was all amazing and delicious. We also got a selection of all their salsas and it's not what I was expecting. Some of it was more of a paste and FYI they're hottest is a bit of a regret the next day. None of their salsa is what do you think of when you think of salsa. So why will be back, we probably will not be eating their salsa maybe just there Pico and guac. Also while it was not a big deal at all, just FYI while they'll bring the food to the table, it's not actual tabled service You have to go up to the bar.

Ordered takeout online. I ordered 3 different items. I arrived 5 after the pickup time. Waited in line while the person was taking orders at the bar. (There really isn't any service in this restaurant.)
I waited 20 minutes before my food was handed to me. The food was terrible. The different meats all tasted the same. (3 different kinds) Very little taste. (Maybe I was supposed to smother it in hot sauce) Ordered 2 sides. Rice & beans. The rice had no flavor and was very dry, the beans looked like they went through a blender and were more soup like. We finally gave Daily Taco a try and I am so disappointed. I ordered ahead with a 30 minute wait for food - normal wait time, cool. I arrived and that is when they started preparing my food - kind of annoying but at least my food will be warm, right? Wrong. I had a 15 minute wait. I arrive at home only to find one of the meals was the completely wrong meal. The elote, rice, and beans were lukewarm. The fish sandwich was mediocre - and also not what we ordered. The theme of the place is skulls and the atmosphere was dead to match. No music no TV. Bartender was more interested in her computer to even earn a tip. Ordered an horchata that she filled the bottom up with the rice, didn't even apologize. If making us feel like you didn't want us to return was your goal. Mission accomplished. The pork burrito wasn't bad, but wasn't in the same league with the outstanding steak sandwich and lamb tacos. Similarly, the beans and rice met expectations.

Food was ordered at the bar, paid for, and delivered to your table.

The indoor dining area wraps around the bar. That layout, combined with the acoustics in the room, created a very loud and noisy environment even with only a few clients. Bar tenders were very jovial with clients at the bar.

I recently had my third dining experience at the Daily Taco and it has undoubtedly become one of my favorite spots! I gotta say this is my favorite Friday fish fry anywhere in driving distance (I live 30 miles away) – it’s truly unique compared to any other standard Wisconsin fish fry. You can get the fish regular or spicy. The batter is so light and crispy…and HOT! So hot you can barely bite the flaky juicy morsels of fish. I haven’t even got to the sides…with a twist they serve a golden raisin slaw and curry tartar sauce, basmati rice too! Worth every penny and more.

I have other favorites too😊 I get the classic margarita which is made with fresh grilled lemons. It always tastes so refreshing and homemade. Sweet with the slightest tart and it really hits the spot on a late Friday afternoon. The lamb birria is also insanely good! I could drink that consommé broth allll day.

Last, but certainly not least the staff there are always so welcoming and fun. They seem to work together like a happy little family, laughing and singing. It’s good vibes only. Highly recommend!

Our first time here. So very, very pleased we came here. The food is divine! I knew it would be because it’s the same owners as the former The Cheel, which sadly succumbed to a fire a few years back. We had the Lamb Birria which was, truly, the most beautiful tacos I’ve ever had. Corn tortillas, filled with lamb and cilantro (no cheese for me but it does come with it normally), hard pressed so they’re a little crispy and served with a bone broth dip. Utter delight. And the guava margarita is perfect! Not too sweet. Just delicious. Something I’m sure to make use of in the colder months is the drive through. You can order online and pick up in a drive through! Even the margaritas can be picked up. Daily Taco is wonderful.

You order at the bar, get a number and staff brings you your food (just like at Culvers) and cost us $80 to feed a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids who had tacos and chips). Incredibly expensive. You have to try this place. Unassuming old Pizza Hut that shocked me with how good their version of the Taco is. Try the Taco that comes with the special sauce to dip your Taco in. Not traditional, but delicious.

Can you really put a price on good food, especially if it is Mexican food? Now I have been to a million different Mexican restaurants and Cantinas in my life, but this quaint, busy little place in Thiensville is where it is at. The waitress/bartender/hostess greets you and begins a conversation with you. If you have never been, she explains the menu to you item by item. Give recommendations and is the most pleasant ray of sunshine we have met in forever.

Now the food we ordered: half order of nachos, jalapeños on the side with ground beef. The only negative....NEEDS MORE CHEESE 🧀!! The chips are homemade, fresh and cannot get enough. I don't know if we could have finished a full order just the 2 of us.
My wife got a cheese and rice burrito. She loved it and surprisingly ate every bite. She recommends more sour cream inside the burrito and a tad more cheese, but loved every bite.
I ordered a steak burrito with rice, beans, onions, cabbage sour cream and cheese. They put the guacamole and Serena salsa on the side. When they brought everything out, mine was accidentally made into a burrito bowl.....but oh well. I was happy with that. The fresh jalapeños from the nachos went on top, the salsa and guacamole as well. They did bring me a freshly grilled burrito shell and I was in heaven. The spices from the salsa and jalapeños made my lips tingle and this protein burrito bowl filled me up and I had to take it home. I never take food home....lol. Our 13 yr old son had the leftovers for dinner and is already begging us to take him there.

You guys have a truly awesome little diamond in the rough with this cantina. We WILL definitely be back for sure!!

The restaurant was not very busy yet we waited over 30 min before we asked the staff about our food. The waitress was nice and brought us some free chips and said our order was next and she would bring it out as soon as it was ready. Our food came 15 min later. My husband and I both had the fish fry. The rice was dry and cold. The fish was over done, dry and cold and one piece of my fish still had raw batter in it. We were both very disappointed in the quality of the food. This is not what we expected from a Daily restaurant.

I've had their tacos, nachos, and burger. All amazing. Best I've had in the greater Milwaukee area. Big portions and quality margaritas, too.

Staff are super polite, patient, and passionate.

Ozaukee county desperately needs places like this. One of those restaurants you always hope open up near you - and are super disappointed if anything happens to them. So help them out and give them a try. My family really loved it.

Owner wasn't kidding around when he said the burger was "freakin' huge," either. So big they have to serve it on a hoagie roll.

My friend and I were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in the Mequon area. We settled on Daily Taco because we were intrigued by the menu. The dining area was super clean. The employees were friendly, but…

The food overall was disappointing. We started out with chips and salsa. While the chips were perfect, the salsa was tasty but it was very thick and kind of gel like.

We ordered the pulled pork, wagyu beef, and beef birria tacos. All the varieties were bland in flavor. The pulled pork tasted sugary with no other seasonings to balance it out. I was expecting sliced wagyu beef, but it was ground beef and it was very similar in taste to the meat used in the birria tacos. The birria tacos didn’t taste very “birria”, even with the consomee. Although the tacos were filled with a lot of meat and filled us up, it didn’t satisfy our cravings for tacos.

You are better off at home making tacos at home with the typical ground beef, taco seasoning and toppings. It’d taste better, authentic or not. It’d also be more affordable. There are also several authentic Mexican restaurants in the south side of Milwaukee that would do a better satisfy your taco fix.

Took the family here on my wife's recommendation. She had gone with a coworker recently and hasn't stopped talking about it since. I have to say it lived up to the hype. Had the lamb tacos and nachos and both dishes were amazing. Drinks were great, they made a tasty quesadilla for our little one, and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be returning.

I appreciate the warm welcome upon walking in to Daily Taco. We ordered nachos which comes with brie on top, not liquid cheddar. Best nachos ever! Fresh ingredients. Enough for 2 people. Ask for the avocado sauce that comes with the kids taco meal so you can have it with your nachos or whatever you order! It's a good sauce!

Whatever food it was they served me was NOT tacos and/or burritos. NOT BEEF but some kind of tasteless bland mincemeat.
I saw TACO I saw BURRITO in the menu... couldn't have been further from the actual. I just took for granted that it was of the norm. I will pass on to friends to keep their distance from this place because this is not what a person is led to believe the food is... Very disappointed
Extremely greasy Extremely EXPENSIVE! 3 FAUX TACOS (small) AND 2 FAUX BURRITOS (BIG...but doesn't make up for it)... $45!! Way out of hand. I will tell my friends about this place and tell them to keep their distance. If you want a taco or a burrito go to an established Mexican restaurant I understand they don't advertise themselves as being Mexican restaurant people just see Taco burrito and they assume...
