My 8 yr old got the steak. It was a fillet mignon for something like $36. My 8 yr old could tell that they were serving frozen steaks and said it tasted awful. The manager insisted it hadn’t been frozen. But come on it’s their only steak and what, do they get fresh meat a few times a wk to keep up with only a few people a wk paying $30+ for an 8 oz steak. LIAR!!!! Me, my wife, mother and 2 of our 24/25 yr old daughters all got the fish fry. We all got sick and only ate 1 piece each. Something was fishy going on. Would NOT recommend or ever go back. People don’t waste your $$$.

It's time to update this review. I'm sitting at the bar.. stopped in because the day was loaded with scramble around. Finally getting some dinner and DANG if this isn't a great burger. The fries are hot. The burger is hot and juicy and couldn't be more perfect. Someone in the kitchen tonight can cook a great burger. Love this place! I've had Daly's a few different times. My past experience wasn't the best but they went above and beyond to remedy the situation and I've never felt more listened to at an establishment before. Long story short, the food I ordered arrived to me in a not so stellar fashion. I reached out to Daly's to express my dissatisfaction and I was met with kindness and compassion. They listened to the feedback I had and generously corrected any misgivings. This is why I continue to support local businesses, they truly care and want you to have the best experience possible. I will keep coming back.

I had a burger, not bad, but I wasn't impressed. The burger is most likely frozen, the patty was less than 1/2 inch in thickness - McDonalds size but tasted better than McD's.

Walked in (my first time here) and the friendly bartender said to sit wherever I liked (this was just after they opened on a Sunday). Waitress/cashier was right there with the menus. I saw that Sunday was brunch day. I ordered the meat omelette (I’m on a carnivore diet), and it was at my table within five minutes. Three eggs w/sausage, ham, and bacon. One of the best restaurant omelettes I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommended. I will go back the next time I’m in Sun Prairie.

Stopped in on a trip North towards Michigan, and Dalys was worth it. It was busy on a Saturday evening at 6 pm, but we were quickly seated and the food came soon after placing our orders. Typical bar type sandwiches and sides, all of it a great value. It’s not fancy, but I’d stop again!

I don't know why there are almost 5 stars! We had a cranky waitress. Nachos were ok. I had a rueben sandwhich and I could barely chew the meat. I had to pull it a part and eat in sections. I was frustrated doing that and stopped eating. I took it home and threw it away. Disappointing.

I have been trying to eat one meal a day to lose weight, but after looking at menu, photos of the food servered, and customers reviews, and video by the owner, I am ready to go soon. My daughter and I stopped on our way back home from girls wrestling weigh ins. The wait staff was pretty slow although friendly. I had the rueben and fries which was good. My daughter on the other ha d had the Nacho Supreme wasn't that great. A puddle of yellow grease seemed abit excessive and the chips where soggy. The meat was dry on top.

Stopped in for a weekday afternoon lunch when it was pretty slow. The service took quite a while in two areas -initial greeting/drink orders and bringing the bill - otherwise the food to table and the follow up check-in were very prompt.

I had the citrus BBQ pulled pork sandwich with fries, and we also had an order of kiddo chicken tenders with fries. Both were pretty solid! I will say that the exterior of the building is a bit deceiving - we expected more of a dive bar atmosphere, cramped and busy with decor - but instead the interior is very open, clean and inviting!

Please clean your CO2 lines, my boyfriend and I were there Saturday night and had one drink each, a non alcoholic beverage. Both of us woke up the next day (seperate houses) with killer headaches. Being in pest control and my bf who is a quality lead for a food distribution center, we have seen and heard alot of stories on soda guns needing cleaning as well as CO2 lines that cause headaches from being unkept. Figured I'd leave a review for management to look into this as it's the only thing we did Saturday night. No other possible reasons.

I have just found my favorite Friday Fish Fry place to eat. Shasta, our server, was terrific. She was at our table as soon as we sat down. And our food was at our table just ten minutes after we ordered. My broiled cod was perfect and my wife's burger was exactly as she ordered it. My cod came with sweet potato fries, corn on the cob and vole slaw. Shasta checked in with us regularly and the owner stopped by to be sure everything was ok. IMPRESSED!.

I stopped in last night to eat with my two boys. We decided to eat outside. I appreciate outdoor dining because it's rare. My boys played a couple of games of connect 4 while we waited for our food. Honestly, so good. Great service and the food was great. We had awesome garlic Parmesan chicken wings, BLT W/fries & the brunch special chicken and waffles. Chicken and waffles with Wisconsin maple syrup tasted just like the fair.

My son, Scott, and I recently flew up to Madison, Wisconsin to attend my grand-son’s master degree graduation. On the day before, the two of us drove around several little towns sightseeing: One was called Sun Prairie and we came upon a huge sign that said: DALY’S BAR AND GRILL.
Hum, interesting since our name, too, is Daly and spelled the same way. It was lunch time, so what better place to try. It was the best idea ever!
Inside a quaint white picket fenced area was several umbrella tables for outdoor seating, but we walked up to look at the window that had a sign painted in gold saying: Voted best Bloody Mary in Madison. That was just what I wanted with my lunch, so we walked into this huge beautiful restaurant, with a stage for evening performances, too. We were greeted by a delightful server named Shasta, like the Daisy, and then along came a friendly man that said we could sit wherever we wanted.
My son asked: Are you the owner?
The man immediately stuck out his hand and said, “Yes, I’m Steve Daly.” To which my son said, “I’m Scott Daly.” Man, you look like me and sure enough, they did look alike. He was so cordial and accommodating and got us our two Bloody Marys and a huge menu.
Oh happy days: Perch and blue gill dinners. We don’t have those in Tampa, Florida. We spent quite a while at this fantastic place. The food: The hospitality: The Atmosphere, the Bloody Mary’s all were exceptional! Since our grad, Jordan, decided to stay in Madison to work, we will definitely return to Daly’s Bar and Grill on future visits.
