The food was awesome. We had three appetizers: Belly Bites = to die for, Fried Brussels = delicious and crispy, BBQ Brisket Dip = perfect yummy comfort food. The guys working on Wednesday night (8/6/25) were FANTASTIC. They were genuinely happy to see and serve us. And they rushed to help my gimpy (due to surgery) hubby with a smile, an offer to help him up and down the doorstep, and happy chit-chat. We'll be back!

Ordered takeout and portion sizes are next to nothing. Ordered loaded tots, which tasted fine, but only had minimal cheese sauce and a sprinkle of bacon and portion size was about 20 tots, no sour cream as indicated in menu. Sampler platter was small as well and did not include the chicken bites, 4 cheese curds, mostly fries and pickel chips. Best thing was the homemade chips and French onion dip. I would highly recommend not ordering takeout.

Atmosphere was cold and empty feeling. We placed our order but no one from the restaurant really seemed to welcome us or make us feel at home. When the food was ready we had to go get the food and ask where all the utensils and condiments were. The food was very minimal for what you paid for, some mash potatoes with a few pieces of chicken in it. No on from the restaurant came over by us during the meal to ask if we needed anything else. At the end on the bill there was only room for a 25% tip, which is nuts. We didn't think a tip was deserved at all, even though we left one.

Chicken bites were good sized white meat pieces, not sketchy mcnugget stuff. Mashed potatoes were between creamy & dry with good texture. I skipped the gravy in favor of butter. Love’d em! Saving the biscuit for later, but it looks buttery good. Cole slaw was not too creamy and wonderful, with a little spice. Drink dispenser, nothing special. Guy that took our order was helpful and nice. Our first time, so he answered our questions very well, patiently. We sat by the front door at a table with comfy chairs. Looked liked booths further back. Just passing through, needed a quick bite. This was much better than expected, leagues above any fast food, and definitely worth a stop. Dam good chicken!

Any time I am in a new area, when looking for local restaurants, I start filtering by reviews. Dam Chicken came in lower than where I usually start my search. After reading tons of their reviews, I noticed two things.
1. Dam Chicken takes their reviews seriously and seemingly tries to make things right with negative reviews. That's called integrity and says a lot about the establishment.

2. Most of the people leaving the one star reviews are justifying their one star based on ONE aspect of their experience and should likely just cook for themselves. Also, most of the negative reviews were a few years old.

That said, I knew it was worth checking out. We ordered online, to go. 8pc chicken with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, fried green tomatoes and the brussel sprouts. We arrived a little early and decided to get a drink at Damsels while we waited.

Bartender was amazing, didn't catch her name but very friendly. Food was done before our drinks were gone. Got home and was very pleased with all the food. Five people agreed chicken was flavorful and moist. Fried green tomatoes and the brussel sprouts also were great. Even a reheated piece of chicken later in the night hit the spot too.

We are only in town a short while but will be making it a point to go back before we leave.

When I first walked into the place, it wasn't like your normal restaurant. You didn't have a waiter, you just ordered and payed from your phone, then they called you over when it was ready. And the prices weren't too bad, some things like the fish were pretty intimidating for their prices, but let me tell you there is nothing to be wary about. I order the chicken cordon blue sandwich and my girlfriend got the Haddock. This chicken cordon blue sandwich was AMAZING, the chicken was plump and juicy, the breading crispy and seasoned. The ham, while thin, was full of flavor. Absolutely amazing sandwhich. Their fries are thick, fresh cut I am assuming, and are full of flavor. And that Haddock was well worth the price, a very fine piece of fish. Everything that was served was delicious, set well, and well worth its price. I recommend this place, I would come back again, and I have not been wowed from a restaurant like that in a while. Absolutely amazing 10/10

We stopped here on a Saturday night after searching for a place to get something to eat.
We really liked that there is a place serving food after 9 pm.
We tried the wings and bacon cheddar curds. We couldn't wait to get home as we were hoping that the food tasted as good as it all smelled. We both thought the wings were just a little better than another place we had recently.
Damsels (bar) connected looked nice, but we sat outside as we waited for our order. Also, it looks like a nice Brewery (Ooga Brewing) across the street, too.

I finally had the opportunity to visit Dam Chicken again and I am disappointed to say it seems as though the quality of food has gone downhill compared to when they first opened.

The chicken wings I received when they first opened were very good. They were the entire wing and had great flavor in both the meat and breading. The wings I received at my most recent visit were split between flats and drums, with very bland meat and breading. Mac and cheese is also different than when they opened, and not in a good way.

I will consider giving other menu items a shot, but it is very disappointing that the chicken wings in a chicken restaurant were not good.

Went here last night for dinner with the family and grandparents. The place is clean, well put together and decorated, plenty of indoor outdoor seating. The staff was abundantly helpful in explaining the digital ordering process. The food came out quite fast and was a very satisfying meal. The bacon cheese curds made me weep with delight in the taste of these delicious little flavor chunks. At first the prices made my eyes bulge, but when grandma said she was footing the bill and I tasted the quality meal before me I decided that we will make this a regular dinner option. I had never been here before- the town I usually just pass through. However- my partner loves chicken so we were like, why not. I had the Carolina Biscuit fried chicken sandwich and frankly- it was one of the best meals I’ve had, ever. The chicken breast combined with the biscuit and slaw and pickles melted together to form a scrumptious sandwich that left no one wanting. I usually hate pickles but I wanted to try these since the sandwich came with them but hot damn. The sandwich was amazing. Always order their fries- no other side compares. Scout’s honor we returned later that day to eat dinner. We got take out- I got the chicken pot pie. They have this secret way of preparing the pot pie that works for carry out. I won’t spoil the design but let me know here if you order the pot pie take out and are impressed on its flavor and design. Overall- 10/10 please eat here it was stunning.

Went today for a carry out order. Only a two minute drive. Paid good money on feeding my household. The Ultimate grilled cheese was not even warm and the cheese not melted at all.. Looked like they toasted the bread and just put sliced cheese on it. Raw chicken! Mashed potatoes were cold. Beans weren't cooked and they charged me for 1 too many dinners. They said they couldnt refund it, I could either get a gift card or the extra meal??? Had lunch there today with my co-worker and I was so floored by the wonderful staff, the amazing food that came out to us super quick and just the overall atmosphere was great! Will definitely go back! Hands down the cole slaw was the best I have had anywhere!!! :)

The chicken was very good however the staff in the atmosphere was awful , they were playing music so loud I couldn't hear my friend that I was with talking to each other, was totally uncalled for and as the longer we sat there and ate the louder the music got so we finished up and just left

The food is delicious! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the chicken pieces are small and this place is a bit pricey. The restaurant is nice inside, the team was great. It's worth going, it's worth getting past the construction. GO EAT SOME DAM CHICKEN!

Overall is a decent spot. Interior is nice with a casual feel. Prices are pretty average maybe a little high but it only makes sense with current inflation. As for the food I would consider it below average. The chicken was overcooked both times I’ve had it but the rubs/flavor was exceptional. For the sides I’ve had the fries and macaroni & cheese. The mac was horrible, overcooked mush pasta and the cheese was literally a kraft cheese pouch that they didn’t even bother to fully mix in. Fries were okay, too greasy/soggy but seasoned well.

We really enjoy some Dam Chicken. Their Chicken Bites are great. Get them in a DC Bowl or try some of their dipping sauces - I like the mild Buffalo.

Ordered online, waited half an hour in the store. For a being chicken place the chicken was definitely subpar. Ordered multiple sides, one side was the wrong size and one side completely missing. Sides that we did receive, Mac and cheese was very disappointing like it had been sitting there all day. Corn you should not attempt to make corn if this is what you are going to serve. Biscuits not fresh. Cole slaw and sweet potato fries were pretty good. I’m finding the service here very inconsistent.

Our family moved around town recently and we go to DAM CHICKEN ALLL THE TIME! WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Today we had a very unpleasant visit with a male employee name Chandler. First I called to make a to go order "can I get 2 of the Mac and cheese brisket sandwich meals (I said this first because I know my boyfriend and his son wanted these for sure) , 1 with only the sandwich" he explained that the sandwich doesn't come alone we can only buy it with the meal so I said okay I will the dc bowl, 6 chicken tenders, Mac and cheese and french fries" when my boyfriend showed up he argued with him about who was right...(referring to my and Chandler conversation over the phone because the order has gotten mixed up) everyone who I have met that works here has been super generous and nice. Wth happened? It could have been easily mixed up but really argue with a customer about whose right because you did a poor job at listening to the order I was giving you. We ended up not even getting any food. :(

Been wanting to try this place for awhile and was pretty disappointed when i finally did. Chicken was ok, but nothing special you can't get from anywhere else. The garlic mashed potatos were wet and runny and very obviously instant w/out even the slightest hint of garlic, and the candied carrots were incredibly dry. Not sure exactly how this place is getting 5 star reviews tbh.

Delicious, found this place at just the right time of year. Ordered their wings with sweet bourbon sauce and a side of garlic mashed potatoes & gravy. Topped it off with the funnel cake fries, and I ended up with the Itis. Dead asleep by 8pm. Can't wait to do it again soon.

Recently stopped in for a bite and decided on the Nashville style chicken bites with two sides. I ordered the medium spice level and felt like it had some good heat to it and the chicken bites were hot(temp) and moist fried to perfection, plated up on some slices of white bread..
I had a side of waffle fries that were also satisfying and ample size.
The only criticism I have is my second side was the mac n cheese and it was dry and oily. Not very cheesy and lacking in flavor. I will have to try an alternate side the next time i eat here.
I also had a side of garlic Parmesan sauce and I was not a fan. I felt like it had too much of a raw garlic taste and the consistency was a bit lumpy. They have plenty of other sauces though to try with your meal on the side or coated.
All in all I would definitely eat here again as there are plenty of different things to try. The space is nice and felt clean and the staff seemed loose and attentive to the in house customers as well as those getting take out.

The 1/2 fried chicken I ordered was absolutely delicious & hot and I watched it being cooked fresh from fresh chicken and not frozen..yum. It was freshly breaded, too. Can't get fresher than that!
The regular tater tots side was more than ample in quantity and they were also very delicious and came already salted..awesome. I'll definitely get those again!
Would've given 5 stars, but Mac & cheese was really dry and the side of coleslaw had a sour/ slightly unpleasant taste to it, in my opinion. I'll try some different sides next time cuz they have a lot to choose from so I'm sure I'll find something else I like on my next visit.
The menu here is certainly vast, with many sides to choose from, and it has something for just about everyone. The beverage selection is also awesome to choose from. I had Hi-C fruit punch and it was delicious. Coke products are offered, as well as Dr Pepper and many other choices. Nice to see that there are many drinks to choose from here.
On my next visit I'll order different things and review them again, as I do look forward to going back there.
Keep up the great work, Dam Chicken!! I'll be back.

Best Dam chicken lol you get alot for your money. The chicken bites were awesome, and so were the side dishes as well. Those red potatoes and green beans were very good. I will definitely visit again.

Our chicken was cold the mashed potatoes were cold and dry the biscuits were hard from the microwave and when you asked for butter you got 3 little packs for potatoes and 6 biscuits. They are way high priced for the amount of what you get and the quality of what you get.

Ordered from this establishment, the chicken was dry. I'm from Memphis and I know what Nashville chicken taste like( that wasn't it). The Mac and cheese had no flavor or cheese. The green beans was bland , try cooking them in chicken broth and add minced garlic and onion. The baked beans no flavor , the tatar tots was excellent.

Update: Based on the first review, I was given a $20 gift card as incentive to try again, so we did. It was a mixed bag. To start, we didn't get what we ordered, we ordered Feed the Flock fried chicken and got, Feed the Flock boneless chicken bites. I usually don't care for 'nuggets' but all the others like them, and they are less expensive, so I went with it. Possibly The Best Ever!! I would actually get these on purpose. The biscuits we're good, if not a little pricey. The sauces we got were really bad, except the bbq, I would skip those. They were having software errors with ringing the gift card, and handled it beautifuly!
These guys will force me back to the Dam Chicken for the boneless tho!!

Meh. This is my second try here. I ordered online both times, my order was correct, labeled and neatly bagged. That's worth a star by itself. This is really 3.5 stars, with a benefit of the doubt thrown in. The first time, I ordered a family style chicken, plain. We have a couple picky eaters, so the flavors were a little daring for them, but plain is very accurate. No flavor at all, I figured it was my fault for ordering plain jane. This time, I was excited for fish fry, we got perch and blue gill, they taste exactly the same!! Way! Too much breading and seasoning salt. Really too bad. It's not bad, it's just not that good. The boneless buffalo chicken got a thumbs up from my son.
