Delicious food. Had the brisket sandwich and bacon burger, both with Cajun fries. Fries tasted better than 5 Guys and burger was just as good. Brisket sandwich was also delicious. The interior is very pretty and interesting. Bartender waited on us and a few others at the bar and was extremely nice and personable. Would recocommend as we'd come back and try more food.

Had such an amazing dinner here. First off, the place is very clean and tastefully decorated.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.
The food was outstanding. You can tell so much of the food is prepared fresh in house. I sampled many things, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, wings, chicken cordon bleu, homemade potato chips, house cut French fries and pizza. (Yeah I’m the guy who loves to try a little of everything). All the food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back. A true hidden gem in a beautiful city.

My lady and I stopped here Thursday afternoon. We sat outside because it was cold inside the restaurant. The food was delicious and our server was on point. I have gone to eat here quite a few times since they opened. What I'm disappointed about is the foodis no longer the same as it was and the prices went up which I understand. But if you're going to raise your prices then your food better match that price. My favorite thing from there used to be the brussel sprouts. I had them recently and actually a time a while back
and they crumble and fall apart and are overcooked and you get a very very small portion. The portions used to be big and the brussel sprouts were awesome. I will never order them again. It just puts a bad taste (no pun intended) in my mouth! They need to step it up and make their food the way it used to be and their portions or take it off the menu. They were absolutely horrible.

Stopped by for an early dinner, and afterward left saying we would definately be back! Great atmosphere, mixed drink and martini were done perfectly, and while we ate light, the menu made it hard to choose- so many good sounding choices.

Chicken sliders with fries and chicken wings both hot and delicious. Husband says wings were right up there with some of the best he's had, not to mention they were big!
Didn't have room for dessert, but will make sure.to leave some next time.

Destiny was our server and she was friendly and helpful when helping us narrow our choices for dinner. Her service flow was perfect.

We will be back. The fried brussel sprouts are calling my name.

Very good experience! The place was impeccably clean, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious— I tried the Southwest Chicken Salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and the Fried Green Tomatoes, which were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Very nice place with fairly easy access for disabled person. NO steps!! We sat at a table which had very nice, comfortable captain's chairs. Jackie, our Hostess & Server was very pleasant, attentive & knowledgeable. We were a party of 6. I ordered the very tasty Fried Green Tomato BLT, while others ordered Veggie or Crispy Chicken Wraps, Black Bean Burger & Patty Melt. All were good except the Patty Melt was a bit overcooked/charred which made it difficult to eat. Many choices for coffee & other beverages, including beer & libations. It was a bit noisy from the one other table some 15-20 feet away, so I can't imagine how noisy it might be with many tables in use. The bathrooms were very nice & easily accessible & usable for disabled persons, but....dear God, WHY do they put those large toilet paper dispensers at knee height??? Put them ABOVE the grab bar!!! With the toilet so close to the wall & the obtrusive dispensers, one needs to be a contortionist to finish one's business. Overall, a nice experience & I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very nice restaurant. A little more bougie than most Beaver Dam restaurants. Great place to go on a date or have a good cooked meal. Very good drinks also. I will definitely be going back. Little things like a chilled glass when you get your water go a long way. The food was not too rich but very very flavorful. Great job Damsels! We're in Beaver Dam - central Wisconsin - and I felt like I was in New York City (at Beaver Dam pricing). I'm trying to give an unsolicited compliment. The ambience was lovely - the people were polished professional and friendly (Colorado Kim actually opened the door for my wife and I and we're not THAT old - lol). Signature cocktails were only $2-$3 more than local "pubs" - and WORTH IT with the bartender, Jesus (pronounced hey-ZUS), turning liquids into finer liquids (nothing sacrilegious about those words - please). I had cajun rubbed chicken and my wife had the Friday Fish Fry - both delicious and reasonably priced. I rarely take the time to write as much but that friendly atmosphere along with the food that they served will get us back there again. You must SEE it to believe it. Oh, and there's a fire pit outside with comfortable couches and chairs for an after dinner drink. Thank you. Paul and Barb.

Some friends and I ate dinner here last night (Saturday). I was reluctant but willing to give them try as I heard they had brought in a new manager (and recent reviews were less negative) - and I was pleasantly surprised! We ate at the bar meaning our bartender (Jesus) was also our server. My chicken dinner was crispy and moist and the garlic mashed potatoes with gravy were excellent. My friends had the Coconut Chicken special and it was also moist and very crispy (though hard to detect any coconut flavor) and the sides good too.

I will say that they are short on help and you need to be patient - as seems to be the norm with many restaurants nowadays.

My adult son and I stopped in recently. We also started at Dam Chicken and were told wait service requires you to sit at Damsels. We stopped in at about 2:00 or 2:30 pm on a Thursday. It was quiet which I appreciated. Atmosphere is nice and the bar is gorgeous so it looks like a fine place for some cocktails. We stopped in for a late lunch. I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich with fries and my son had fried chicken with a biscuit and a side of garlic potatoes. We also had the bacon cheese curds. The cheese curds are a little different than other places (breading internal to the curd it seemed, cut in cubes) but were very tasty and the horseradish sauce on the side was a good dipping option. The chicken sandwich was quite good (spicy and with slaw) as were the fries. My son loved his chicken and biscuits. He gave me his garlic mashed potatoes and I thought they were great. I guess the only ding I'd give the place is the speed of service. Our waitress was quite attentive but the food was slow to come. The two conjoined businesses only had 3 or 4 tables of people (total, not each) so I was a little surprised. But I also know that many restaurants struggle with pacing when things slow down. Maybe people are on break or maybe they are doing prep work for the dinner rush. Anyhow, overall, this was a pleasant experience and I'd recommend people try it out.

So my experience is through their catering. Absolutely amazing!!! The party I was planning was on a Sunday, they are typically closed. Brenda M reached back out and said that she was able to have a couple guys who were willing to come in and make this food. Incredible!! The food was simple but amazing! Chicken wings and salads, and coleslaw and pasta salad, brownies and their cookies. They guys came over right about 2pm set everything up and came back at 5pm and took everything down! I will absolutely be continuing my support for businesses like this in Beaver Dam. Thank you for your hospitality and I look forward to working with you again!

We've been there several times since they opened. There are things that have changed for the better, but also several things that really need improvement. First, I always get a burger, and definitely like the change from the Culvers-like smashburgers, which were overpriced in my opinion, to the thicker double patties. I wish there was a single patty option, but that's fine. The garlic frying cheese is great. The price seems more reasonable for the larger burgers, and the addition of the sides for another dollar or more is a nice idea. Making a build-you-own burger where you choose your size and toppings would be a great addition to the menu IMO. We both enjoyed the food, and that's probably the thing that keeps us coming back. The beverage concoctions are always good too, but seem to be a bit overpriced for what they are. The martinis are strong, but the other mixed drinks seem to be a little weak and small, and I'm not a regular drinker.

The main issue is with the outside dining. You feel like you don't even exist out there. We live close-by, and have a toddler, so we bring our stroller and sit outside as not to get in the way. We've sat on the patio a few times. They used to have a server come and take your order, even if you had to go inside and flag someone down. Now, they just have a sign where you order with a QR code. While I understand the concept, the ordering is confusing because it's shared between Damsels and Dam Chicken. They share a kitchen, and I understand that, but it says on the sign on the table to come and get your own drinks at the counter. Where? Dam Chicken or Damsels? Why do we have to come inside to get our own drinks, while everyone inside is served theirs? Trying to order online while dealing with a toddler and having to fetch our own drinks and figure out where and when the food was going to come out just killed any sort of relaxing dinner mood. It's our rare time out, and we want to be able to relax and be served instead of running around like we usually do all day.

ETA: We didn't get silverware nor napkins. We weren't offered any condiments or asked if we needed or wanted any. There was no one checking in that everything was okay. We left with greasy hands and luckily had burgers and nothing requiring forks or knives. My boyfriend had to go in to request water and his lemonade which we'd paid for. The patio seems to be a no-mans-land, and that's a shame. I'm sorry if this comes off as petty, but we tip 20% (which you have to do on the app before finding out what service you're going to get). I don't even know who gets that tip. The girl that brought out our drinks was helpful and nice, but even she didn't seem to understand where the food was going to come from, and if we had to get it ourselves. The kitchen ended up bringing our food out. Does that mean they get the tip? I don't understand the set-up, and I don't think anyone is really going to be a fan. It feels like fast food or just pick-up, but people who eat there (inside or out) want to feel like it's a dining experience and that they matter, or at least that the restaurant cares about them. Also, having someone put the umbrellas up, and sweeping off the spiders/spider webs on the tables sometime during the day would be nice so people sitting down don't get a creepy surprise. Both tables we sat at had webs and spiders. I get that it's outside, but a quick sweep at the beginning of the shift is all that's needed. We WANT to be regulars, but it seems that the regulars are just folks that come in to drink at the bar. If this place could just improve on how it serves all of its customers, we'd come back much more often. We've just been feeling a bit neglected on that patio. I want this place to succeed. I really do.

Went to Best dam chicken and the guy said if you want someone to take your order you have to go to Damzels. So we did. Nice atmosphere! But Best dam chicken and damsels is one in the same. The chicken was not the best dam chicken I've ever had...it was so greasy and our stomachs hurt before we even left. The biscuit was so dense and dry like a heavy wet sponge. The cornbread muffins were like you took a mouthful of sand. Just awful. We won't ever go back.

Food was not prepared as advertised, wrong noodles used etc. Extremely long wait for food and then it all came out cold and stale, seemed like fries were old and reheated. Wrong side brought out. The two upsides were the drinks were amazing and our waitress was absolutely awesome. If it wasn't for our amazing waitress, Kosovare, we would have just left. Great concept and could be an amazing spot (add a privacy fence and fire to back patio) but unfortunately horrible delivery tonight, manager seemed tied down at the bar rather than being able to float and address problems like they should... Unfortunately tonight was bad enough I likely will not be returning with my family...

7 months later i return with my family hoping for a better outcome. No improvement, friendly waitress, slow to get food out, cold food, waitress has food remade, comes out cold again. Blackened Salmon was dry, but luckly the cajun seasoning they used is very good so made it eatable. Coffee drinks/lates were watered down and flavorless. Bar tender claims they dont have basic ingredients for mixed drinks. This restaurant seems to be all about fancy presentation to give the illusion of high end while providing sub par products. I rarely give restaurants like this a second chance, should have stuck with that. Reducing to 1 star due to no improvement and still having same issues, ironically today was their 1 year anniversary of opening and they still havent figured out how to run a quality sit down restaurant. Oh, and once again, manager was too busy behind the bar socializing to have a clue what was going on anywhere else in the restaurant.

Edit to add 2nd chance: Ice caramel latte flavorless water downed coffee with 0 flavor. Regular decaf was served with a waffer stick was watered down and gross colored. Bar tender was focused on regulars mainly. I sat at the bar for 5 minutes before i was noticed. Told me they dont serve sweet drinks yet they have martinis. Temperature is cold in the main sitting area, this was our second time here and 1st time was just as bad. My sandwhich had to be sent back and still came back cold, mac and cheese side was cold, salmon was dry so over cooked, but once again our waitress was good and she was the only running between dam chicken and damsels. Wont be going back. Great concept of atmosphere but to over priced for all these mistakes. The grill cheese was good, the soup was room temp, cheese for nachos and tacos looked like can cheese or velveta cheese sauce both tasted the exact same. The mash potato side was cold. The only thing good was the water, the appetizers and waitress. Added pictures as well.

Only has 2 stars because our waitress she absolutely amazing. Our dishes were cold, stale and under seasoned. The description were wrong of at least 1 of the dishes. I dont know who the cooks are but they dont seem to do well under pressure, or just dont know what they are doing. The atmosphere is adult like at damsels and a little romantic. I do love the setting. The drinks are really good. The waffle fries were good and so were the sweet potatoe fries. They do need a fire in the back kind of like the front to make it less parking lot seating.

Enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch. My family raved about the food. Because I suffer from a fish/shellfish allergy, I requested a portion of the tenderloin before it was placed in the warming tray next to the fish. They were able to accommodate me, I am thankful. When we first arrived, the bacon was a bit cold, but was replaced shortly after. That was the closest thing to a negative. My family will be back.

I honestly really wanted to like this place. Went to soft opening and it was chaotic but drinks were amazing. Manager on staff is a bit off. Always complaining or over sharing information to customers. Seems a little trashy. Some times the drinks are fabulous and a male bartender is amazing at pouring. The last handful of times I have gone the food tastes reheated and cold. Steak, ordered rare, was over cooked, not flavorful and just chewy. I have tried most things on the menu and there isn’t any one thing done right consistently. Showed up on a Monday at 4:30. Was told kitchen closed at 5. We hurry up and placed order, it arrived 35 minutes later (no one else ordering food) with cold food. Old fashion not muddled with bottom coated in sugar. 2 star rating might be pushing it but I really want this place to be successful

Maybe they were short staffed or just not attentive to our table.
I wanted another cocktail and the employee never showed up, needed more water as well...Had to literally flag the wait staff down and then we didn't need either any more...it was time to leave. Doesn't mean we won't go again...we will and hope for better attention.

Great experience, the food was extremely tasty, their homemade chips and fries were cooked to perfection, light crunch and the seasoning really balanced out with the rest of the meal. The cubed cheese curds were new to see, have not seen that before, with the light batter coating on it, they went down like candy before we knew they were gone. The craft cocktails tasted amazing, you taste the different flavors coming together beautifully, the French Gimlet and Paper Airplane two different flavors but done so so well. Prices for the food and drinks are perfect for this Beaver Dam area, a must to stop in for a drink and a meal.

I stopped in with a friend at 2:30 in the afternoon and it was quiet, but the food + atmosphere was still incredible!

Our waitress was attentive, fast, and the food was delicious.

I ordered the Cubano and Fried Brussels, my friend the BLT and Cheese curds. The Brussels were crispy and flavorful, hot so you could tell they were fresh. The cheese curds are odd - they come in cube shapes and taste a little more floury that some other bar options. The bacon in them can make them a little salty tasting, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

We are definitely planning on coming back!

I'm quite certain that everyone wants you to succeed. BD definitely needs some dining options. The decor is terrific, bar selection is very good. . .some people will find drink prices to be a bit up there compared to the normal local price range. I've dined in three times so far and the experience has been decent. Most recently we had a new bartender whose experience and ability seemed very green. Drinks were not as good as our last visit and it was curious how long it took to make 2 cocktails. Our dinner order consisted of a Mushroom & Swiss burger ordered medium well (it came dry and luke warm) with a side of chili (dry and cold), as well as the brisket mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was similarly dried out and not very warm. The brisket was terrific, but also could have been warmer. As the restaurant was not very busy, and we waited almost 40 minutes after ordering, we were wondering if the food sat plated but not delivered, or if the food was plated without being hot? Regardless, we are cheering for you but all of these are things that can easily be improved upon. We'll be back, and we hope that will be the case. All the best.

The place had a lot of promise, but was plagued with staffing and product issues.

What we did get was a very friendly and nice waitress, and potentially great food.

I had the Rueben, and the corned beef was great. However, it didn’t have cheese, it didn’t have the dressing… it was basically a corned beef and sour kraut sandwich. Later the waitress told me the cooks didn’t tell her they were out of items until I was already eating my food. That said it was good corned beef.. I didn’t complain, but I did speak with the waitress. She was very nice.

The brisket was very, very good. We had a side and my wife had the brisket Mac n cheese she liked a lot.

I hope to come back here in the future and see what they’re really capable of.

I will start off by saying my burger was really good and I would order it again. The flavors on point💕 But! The reason I’m giving 2 stars is based on my experience. The waitress I had was nice until I ordered my food, which was a medium rare burger. After the entire table ordered there food she leaned in towards me and said “ your the first black person I’ve been around that has ordered a burger medium rare” 😳 it took a lot for me not to let her know how I really felt. So, once again I wasn’t comfortable and it was embarrassing I will most likely not come back.

Came in and ordered our food to go, the person taking my order did not write it down. That concerned me. As she was putting my order into the computer she asked me again about it and I gave it to her again as she was entering it, so I felt better that it would be correct at that moment. Unfortunately it was wrong, got the wrong salad, the Ruben sandwich was completely not what I asked for, and honestly just wasn’t very good! I know that carry out on food can make food not as good as eating in the restaurant, but it was not good!

Really good food, I had the fried green tomatoes and she made me a mocktail mudslide with carmel and decaf espresso. They have a very nice patio in back too.

Awesome new local spot that just opened. Excellent selection of beer, wine, whiskey, and cocktails. Had the Cubano sandwich with Cajun fries and it was outstanding. Quick service and friendly staff. Don't let the road construction put you off a great new place.
