I’ve tried a lot of different restaurants looking for the perfect pho. I found it here at Dan’s! Dan took the time to check in on us and make sure we had an excellent experience at his restaurant. Delicious food, friendly staff, and very clean place. Love it and will be back many times!

Pretty good food. Nice portions. The to-go cups for the broth need to be upgraded. The broth always spills and the cup nearly breaks every time. I have to have to use my own containers to mix broth based meals to go.

Feeling a massive craving for squash curry and Hmong eggrolls on a Monday night and thought we would see how Dan's stacks up against the other well established Thai places in the area. The answer? Exceptionaly well. The curry was as good as any I have had. The (extra) spice level was adequate to get the sinuses flowing. And the egg rolls were perfect. We were regularly attended to by the staff and felt very welcomed. The food came out pipeing hot one bowl at a time as each entree or side was ready and the wait either to order or to get our food felt very quick.
Overall we loved our first visit and plan to return often. We only had two improvements for the restaurant. The first was that our server kept putting the piping hot glass bowls at the edge of the table in front of our 1 year old. (Rookie mistake). The second, the rangoons lacked sufficient crab meat but were otherwise well stuffed with cream cheese and ample green onion and perfectly fried. If the kept all the green onion and doubled the crab, charged just a small amount more, they would have some winners.

Great Great Food. Khaopoon was plenty and very flavorfull as was the Drunken Noodles. Met with Mr. Dan, very nice guy and attentive. We are on vacation and just passing thru through if we lived here we’d certainly be back. All the best to Mr. Dan. I know if you continue to serve as we what we ordered today word will continue to get out.

Bad service. Ordered kapoon for delivery. They packed the broth in a Styrofoam bowl and put it at the bottom of the bag. Put the noodles and greens in another container on top of the broth bowl. Plus my order of drunken noodles on top of that. Both top containers squash the Styrofoam bowl and the broth spilled every where. Who packs food like that.

Dan's Kitchen in Green Bay is a gem. My husband heard of them through work and brought food home. Their crab rangoon is fantastic, my all time favorite. They have a limited menu. My husband gets the chicken fried rice and sweet chicken. I am not a fan of the sweet chicken, but hubby loves it. I get Tum Yum Kung and make ramen noodles and add them to it as I don't like it with rice & it is soup-like. I also ask them to make it with medium heat. Absolutely delicious. The broth is to die for. I keep meaning to try other menu items, but for now, going to stick with my favorites. My husband drives all the way from Manitowoc to get pick up our food from their.
Definitely recommend!

I shop at a couple of the Asian grocery stores nearby, so when I went to get a few things, I was pleased there was a new SE Asian restaurant. Fast forward a month or two, and I finally got to try it. I got the fresh spring rolls, which I feel should be so simple, yet, so many places make them with no flavor. These are excellent. Mint, shrimp, noodles, fresh and crunchy with a delicious sauce. My husband go the cashew, with chicken and definitely will be a favorite. It had a very nice umami /salty/smoky flavor profile and the veggies and chicken were cooked to perfection. Crab Rangoon. Yes, we do love those as well, and these were fresh, flavorful and very light. I went with Pad Thai. It was between that and a Basil dish, but went with a standby- and it was perfect. Sweet/tangy, and the shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. My next trip will include the papaya salad, seafood curry, and more spring rolls. ( I ordered some to take home they were that good). Also, Dan, was there, came out to greet us and I always love that. Definitely will be a favorite for us.

First time going there on 4/14/25 and 4/16/25. Yes, I went there twice in a week with my daughter, it was that good. I was impressed, clean and friendlyfamily atmosphere. Meet with the owner and we had a nice conversation. He was very polite and curtesy. We had basil stir fry, seafood curry, tumyum kung, pork belly, laab and sweet chicken. Everything was well made. On the side note, sweet chicken was a little sweet for me but again it sweet chicken. If you have a sweet tooth, that's perfect for you.

Clean. Spacious. Plenty of tables. Locally owned and operated. The owner came to the table to greet me and ask how everything was. I regularly eat SE Asian food. They absolutely nailed the potato curry. Delicious. Portion size was perfectly priced compared to competitors. Egg rolls are very good, in the top 4 of what GB dining offers. They're open to 8pm and on weekends. Can't wait to return for Pad Thai. A real gem in a part of town sorely lacking.

This restaurant has absolutely the best tasting authentic Asian food and best prices and also had the best customer service. Me, my wife and kids ate here and it was amazing in every way. New restaurant alert!!
.
.
And you know I love trying out new places.
@downtowngreenbay posted about a new place opening downtown. It popped up on my feed at the perfect time. The kids just got out of classes, so I forwarded them the post.
"If you order it and bring it home, it'll be my treat." 😁
Dinner is done!! With leftovers for a few days...
I was excited to try a bit of everything at @danskitchengb located in the Olde Main Street district.
Food is Thai and Hmong flavors.
We ordered Basil Stir Fry, Sweet Chicken, Curry Noodles with chicken, Squash Curry with tofu, Pork Belly, Sticky rice, and Papaya Salad.
It took about 30 minutes to prepare our order. We did have a decent sized order, and the pork belly was cooked fresh for us. Time was spent browsing other stores by Dan's Kitchen southeast Asian cuisine.
Every dish was delicious. I think tho that the sweet chicken should have a veggie on the side. The Curry Noodles could do with a bit more Curry sauce, I like saucy noodles.
The location of this restaurant is perfect to add to that area.
Next time, I will need to try one of their many different flavors of bubble tea.
***Note: Google only seems to recognize the Sturgeon Bay location. That location has closed, and this one is in downtown Green Bay. ***

02/28/2025 Green Bay Location I ordered pho, drunken noodles, chicken pad thai, egg rolls, spring rolls, and papaya at 06:45pm. I got my pho, pad thai, and drunken noodles fairly fast, however the other items I didn't receive it until 45 minutes later when I mentioned to them at the front desk that I haven't received these items. About an hour later I went back up to the desk and asked them to just put my papaya into a container for me to take it home since they're about to close and I didn't want to be the reason they stay behind late to clean.
Pho wasn't the greatest. It was basically beef cooked for long hours and salt added into it. Not real pho broth definitely needs work on the broth. Not worth the price, could make it at home for the flavor they made it.
Chicken Pad Thai was water down. Could taste a little of the pad thai sauce. Not worth the price.
Spring rolls, it was okay. Sauce needs work and the filling in the rice paper wrap too. Otherwise, I guess it's worth the price they have.
Egg Rolls were okay.
Overall, the experience wasn't great at all. Service was bad, not attentive about details on orders, no checkups on customers to see if everything was fine, just terrible customer service. Won't be coming back.

I love this place. The food is soooo good, and the portions are great. My current favorite is the Pad See Ew with chicken, but I love the basil stir fry, the drunken noodle, the potato curry - I've had most of the menu now, and have yet to try something I wouldn't rate a 10/10. If you haven't been here and don't know what to order, you might think you're playing it safe by getting fried rice, but you're really missing out. Try something you might be hesitant about. If you can't decide, order the Pad See Ew (pronounce it just like it's spelled and you're fine) with chicken. I just finished it (for the fourth time), and I'm simultaneously sad it's gone and too full to eat more.

Traveling through and had their Seafood Curry...it was excellent! Perfect sticky rice. Coconut Boba tea was tasty when finally thawed, but they don't make it there and they must keep it frozen, so it took awhile and I got a slushy headache from it. Atmosphere ok. Could use more attentive service at front where you order...have to ring bell a few times. I would definitely stop again to try something else! Delicious!

Dan's Kitchen has the best Rangoons, hands down! Service is always fantastic, the food is fresh and hot and tastes amazing. I love the sweet and sour sauce that comes with the Rangoons. The restaurant is always clean and is a great stop for a tasty lunch.

A friend and I were passing thru Sturgeon Bay, decided to get lunch at Dan’d Kitchen. We were the only 2 people there. Staff were totally disinterested in being in a service industry. No hellos, no smiles. We had to ask twice to get Diet Cokes. We ordered Crab Rangoon appetizer. It was a serving of just 2. But, they were delicious!
I ordered their version of shrimp Tom Yum soup. It was a huge bowl, enough for 2 or 3 people. It was watery, spicier than expected and that high level cayenne (?) prevented tasting any other ingredients. I asked for a ladle of some kind but was told they had none. So to share this we had only the normal soup spoon to use. With such a watery soup that was not an easy way to put a serving into our soup bowls. The shrimp was overcooked. My friend had their beef Pad Thai, usually a “safe” choice as it seems no Thai restaurant ever makes a bad Pad Thai. Until Dan’s. Theirs was watery, probably a level 3 on the hot spice side—she was not asked what level she’d like. Most Thai places have asked that. The beef was over cooked & tough, in small quantity—a good thing as it turned out because of previous description. It seemed there were 3 staff, not including the unseen cook. And only my friend & me. No one came to our table to ask how we liked the food, etc. We made the mistake of seating ourselves at a totally empty table & 1/2 way thru the meal took a closer look at the other tables to realize they all had misc condiments. None of the staff brought a tray of them to our table. We could’ve just walked over & gotten one, yes. But this was just another staff inaction that basically told us they’d rather be anywhere but at work. When we paid our bill my friend noticed they had large plastic bags of mixed flavored popcorn & bought one. She just called to say it was “terrible” with many pieces burnt. All in all a most disappointing meal, staff, restaurant. I see it’s called “the best Thai restaurant in Sturgeon Bay”. When you’re the ONLY Thai restaurant in a city it’s easy to call yourself “the best”. But it’s also, to my friend & me, “the worst”.
I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Edit: We ended up ordering takeout from here one day when they actually were open. The process to order online was so hard to figure out we had to call in. Then, they forgot our rice and when we got home it turned out they had also forgotten our hmong rolls. BUT the food was SO good that I am editing my review and changing it from 1 to 4 stars. So, if you want really good Thai food (I had the squash curry) and don't mind a lot of tech and service-related snafus, it is worth it.
Please fix your hours on Google! We came from out of town and worked hard to order online. That didn't work, couldn't figure out why. Called, couldn't figure out why there was no answer. Finally after clicking around a long time on website we discovered they were closed, despite saying they were open on Google. Very frustrating-- in a tourist town, that creates issues for families. We are now starving and just wasted a lot of time.

Great Asian take-out! The atmosphere leaves room for improvement but if you are looking to take your Asian take out home- this is your spot!
The food is solid Asian/ Thai. They definitely have “up north” spice for their curry. So if you are looking for a bit of flavor- go spicy.

The ambiance is terrible so definitely plan to do take out, but the food was good. I got the Pad Thai and my friend got the basil stir fry - both would recommend.

Very good! Was leery of eating here because of the name"Dan's" with a Hmong menu. Fried rice, egg rolls and pad see ew were great. Not so good was the bubble tea.

Would've been five stars if we could've dined in but the atmosphere wasn't really conducive to our large party.
The food was very good though. We had the sweet fried chicken special which was more spicy than sweet. We had chicken pad thai which I thought was one of the best pad thai I've had. And we had the YELLOW potato curry with chicken which was everyone's favorite.
Would go again.

Just finished driving 500 miles. Placed a door dash order to my hotel. They told my dasher they never received the order and they canceled on me. Thanks

My work ordered lunch today from Dan's Kitchen. It was a pretty large order. When I called to pick it up, I was told they didn't have an order under our name. The lady that answered the phone was short with me and very rude. I then had my coworker call (who the order was under)and she was again told they did not have our order and then she hung the phone up on us. I had called back (the order was already paid for from earlier) The girl said she had to ask another employee as she didn't know. She then comes back to the phone and says she found our order and it was outside on the bench waiting for us to pick it up. The food was still warm which was a plus, i just can't understand why our warm lunch would be waiting outside in this cold weather. We have ordered from here in the past, but today we were very unhappy with service. We will not be ordering from this restaurant in the future.

Food is pretty solid, but can take an extremely long time to be prepared. Seems like the restaurant is running with much less staff than needed to be an efficient staple in Door County dining. Leaves something to be desired, but is rather new so I'm hopeful they will continue to improve.

I think I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and I’ve loved every single dish. They nail it every single time on the flavor, appearance, and temperature of the food. Always delicious, always fast, and the staff is always very friendly and happy to help.
Any time anybody asks me where a good place to get food from in Sturgeon Bay is, I always say Dan’s.

Dan's Kitchen is decent at best and good luck with them answering the phone during regular business hours. People that have commented on the cleanliness were not exaggerating. Walk through the back door if they ever open it again and take a look at the kitchen.

It is nice to have a thai restaurant close by. But they use too much sauce, pad thai was so sweet soaked in sauce, i had to drain it before i eat. I will keep going though

Dan’s Kitchen has the best Asian food in Door County. I could not believe the amount of meat and cashews in the Cashew Chicken! Great portions, price, and service! 👍👍👍👍👍

The staff was really kind, but honestly the food was so bad. We ordered pad thai and pho, we wound up leaving most of the food on the table. The pad thai honestly smelled rancid, and the pho consisted of what tasted like lunch meat and frozen meatballs.

Unexpected in door county. This SE Asian restaurant has the classic flavor down. Try the Pad See Ew for the real street flavor of Bangkok. The Hmong egg rolls are also very good. The interior still looks a little like the bar that used to be there but other than that the ambiance is fairly generic. They seemed to have a steady stream of customers but overall they weren't too busy that they couldn't take care of the people that were there. Worth the visit.

The service and egg rolls are good, overall the food is just subpar though. The pad thai doesn't taste like pad thai but it did taste decent. I believe the rating is so high right now because there aren't many other places in the area for this type of food.

Your review of this restaurant would depend on whether you came in the front door or the back. If you came in the back door you would see a disgusting kitchen. The food was fair at best. I am afraid that this restaurant will survive only at the good will of a few customers. Dan desperately needs some consultation on his business model.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in the middle of Door County! I'm a big fan of Thai food and here it was absolutely delicious and well priced. I'm pretty sure this family restaurant will expand their staff soon as Dan's Kitchen's popularity continues to grow ^_^ Try the crab rangoons! Amaizing!!!
