Had a crew of 10 of us for Wo-Zha-Wa Saturday. Dells Distillery accommodated our big group with friendly and superior service. Had drink specials for the Badger game, and honored those specials, even during the special weekend. A different local establishment pulled their Badger gameday specials to get full-price. I will support Dells Distillery in ALL my future Wisconsin Dells food and drink needs. Thanks DD!

I gave a 2 star on food 'cause it wasn't the worst burger I had, but it definitely was far from the best. The servers were nice. I had the Distillery burger, which according to the menu, was recommended. The cheese sauce on top was rather bland, and the burger patty was also bland. It was also luke warm and the bun was cold without any toasting. COLD. Even McDonald's doesn't serve a cold bun. Eating the burger reminded me of the burgers I would get at a community college cafeteria, which would've been fine if I didn't pay over 15 dollars without even any fries. Personally, a place that serves a burger without even fries to come with it disgusts me. I can deal with it if it is a really really good burger, but this was far from that.

I wish I could say this was the worst part, but unfortunately it wasn't. When I asked what the mashbill on the bourbon and whiskey is, 3 separate workers could not answer the question. In fact, one of them answered "the bourbon was aged for 2 years in a charred barrel." You would really think an establishment that sells their own distilled products, they would train their employees to have a basic knowledge of the product and the process itself.

The bourbon tasted just like the establishment. Bland and generic. At least it was warmer than the bun, I guess. To be fair, it would probably fine as a mixer, but I will definitely tell you that there are many many other bourbons that are better than this one at $45 or even less.

When we first sat down we noticed that there was water dripping from the A/C so we told the waiter that we would be moving tables. Then when it was down pouring outside the ceiling was leaking water too. The service was super slow, and my food was forgotten about. I reminded my server 2 times that my fries never came out when the rest of my groups food did. I watched table after table get theirs. After 40 minutes I finally got my fries and they were ehh. Very greasy and stale tasting.

I did not eat at the location, but I did have drinks.

I stopped in to try a flight of their spirits. Bourbon and whiskey primarily. In the fright, I did try each of their spirits except the vodka and gin.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I did double up on the Bourbon and Whiskey, but each of the other spirits was noteworthy and interesting. The ginger Brandy was good, not overy spicy. A nice change if you're having a Brandy Manhattan or Brandy Alexander. Both the Bourbon and Whiskey are very nice for small batch. Can be enjoyed both straight or in cocktails. The Rum was probably the most interesting, sweet, and a bit of spice, definitely great for cocktails.

Stopped here for lunch and we were so glad we did. Started with the cheese curds as an appetizer and they were excellent, best cheese curds we have ever had. Server didn’t take my drink order. When she returned with the rest of the drinks for the family I requested my drink. She told the bartender “now he wants a mule” like it was my fault. The bartender was friendly and acknowledged the fact that the server didn’t take my drink order. It wasn’t busy either. Just flat out crap service by the server.

THE FOOD WAS AWFUL.

My son got the wings and that’s all they were. Wings. Not breaded, not seasoned and expensive.

My wife’s veggie burger was a pile of mush. Anyone that cooks a veggie burger knows you need to sear it to get it to hold together.

I ordered the whiskey pork and shrimp. It was served without sauce and the “Cajun shrimp” were just normal shrimp, nothing special, not seasoned at all.

None of the meals came with fries. That’s where they get you. Fine print says “al a carte”. Absolutely absurd for what you pay.

Our server proceeded to go sit down and gamble on the machines and sit on her phone. I didn’t want to even tip her and if it wasn’t for my wife, I wouldn’t have. My wife said “maybe she’s going through something” but judging by the reviews, that’s just standard practice for this place.

Don’t waste your time and money. It’s clear that’s all they are after.

Incredibly expensive for low quality food. We were walking around shopping and wanted to find a decent bite to eat. For a place advertised as a Distillery and family friendly, we had high expectations. Very little options for food for kids. Everything is a la carte. The starters are almost the same price as the entrees. We ordered the cheese curds and the Mac n cheese bites. The cheese curds were sub par for being in Wisconsin. The Mac n cheese bites barely had any Mac n cheese in them and primary this weird smokey, salty cheese sauce. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and couldn't even finish it... it had a very weird liquidy cheese sauce on it when it was advertised as Swiss cheese and beyond salty...I couldn't finish it. I also ordered the loaded tots with it and had 3 bites. They had the same weird cheese sauce on them as well with overcooked bacon. My daughter ordered the wings and they were super dry. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast burger and couldn't finish it due to the salty, weird cheese sauce on it. The best thing we ordered were my sons chicken tenders and even those were mediocre. The service wasn't super awful, but it wasn't the greatest...just bare minimum for a tip but I will say he offered my daughter a kiddie mocktail to go so that was really nice. Just really disappointed we spent the money we did when we could have had better food for less at Culver's with dessert.

Dells Distillery is not too busy in the off-season. This time of the year it has more of a local flavor and not too busy with tourists.
I sampled the The distillery whiskey and it was good. They have a lot of good food here and they have a few dishes that are different with baked beef and some with tater tots which what I split with my wife. Yum

Walked in a was told to seat our selves, most of the tables were dirty and had dishes on them. Finally helped but the food took way longer than expected for the few people that were there. When we finally got our food it was not what I asked for, all I wanted was a bacon cheeseburger with fries, I got a basic cheese burger with no fries. Wasn’t worth the wait to get it corrected. The three burgers we did manage to get were dry and flavorless. $80 for two adults and two kids with no alcohol ordered. Spend your money elsewhere.

I had my first experience at WI Dells so I just wanted to have a great time and get good food. We saw this place and we thought it could be good. When we walked in, the place was empty (for a good reason). Our server was weird and awkward and he didn't know anything about the menu or drinks, he was just at the bar on his phone (and maybe this is just me over noticing things bc I've been in the industry for quite long but I DO NOT recommend this place at all. It was just bar food and not even good with a weird server with no hospitality skills at all. After my husband and I walked out we regretted not going to Monks. That place was packed and smelled really good from the outside. This place is expensive and not worth it.

Great specialty cocktails in a classic, old-school, bar. Our server (forgot her name, sorry, but her purple hair made my wife super happy as purple is her favorite color and she has her tips dyed purple for the summer☀️) was super friendly and helpful with the specialty cocktails. The bartenders look like they are younger than 21 years old. The bartenders visiting more than bartending. One of the bartenders charged me For two drinks and I only got one, and only wanted one drink . Stopped by on a beautiful day with a few friends. I had seen their website and thought it looked fun to come to. I was a bit disappointed that it was more of a traditional bar rather than somewhere to try out the liquor or brewery style feel... had a drink which was good and then ordered the tots! Because if you have seen their website you gotta try the tots. We has the mac n cheese, blt and torta tots. The tots themselves were good, under salted. The mac n cheese was kraft with a cheese sauce on top. Blt was disappointed because the tomatoes were huge making it hard to eat. The torta were the favorite and most original. I had a side salad and ordered spicy mustard as thr dressing but it was just mustard and not a dressing and the salad was dirty. Overall I wouldn't come back here, just not my style and the food isn't worth the return.

My husband & I and our 3 kids, ages 18, 15 & 12 came to The Dells from MI, on our Spring-break. When looking for dinner ideas, we googled some and asked some people, but came up with The Distillery: menu looked good so thought we’d try it. Upon entering, we hesitated at the door, wondering if we’d be seated or just seat ourself. Guy behind the bar, yells “you can just go sit down”. They weren’t very busy, so felt kind of awkward that we were getting stares from a couple of the workers. We sat down and literally waited 12 minutes and still hadn’t even had a server acknowledge we were there. We got up and headed for the door and nobody said anything to us. If they don’t want families in their establishment, their sign shouldn’t say families welcome. Absolutely awful service or lack of, I should say and extremely rude and arrogant to treat tourists that way when we’re here spending money in your city. We walked over to Monk’s and was greeted instantly and our friendly waitress arrived asking for our drinks within 1-2 minutes at the most; so spent the $98 on dinner there instead.

Stopped in on a Sunday on our way home home from Minneapolis. The kids had fun pushing buttons on the gambling machines, and my wife and I enjoyed GREAT food. Everything we got was excellent. Fast, friendly service. Good food for the price, especially in the Dells. We came off season, but there was very nice weather that weekend, so there were plenty of other tourists out and about. Definitely had the feel of "this is where the locals eat". Out of the plethora of restaurants in the Dells we picked this one because of the "gourmet hamburgers" and "specialty tater tots" they advertised. When the food came I was actually shocked that the $11.99 Mac and cheese tots my son ordered were obviously frozen tater tots with box macaroni and cheese on top. This is a specialty? The Lone Star Burger advertised as gourmet was obviously frozen and the pork on top was dry and overly salty. I never waste food but the burger was so bad, as you can see from the photo, I could not finish it and did not ask for it to go box. I had a bad taste in my mouth for several hours. Wow. I was kind of iffy because of the front of the building looked kind of older but the place rocks. Our waitress was the sweetest and even took time to play with our kids. The food was immaculate and so fresh. Definitely a repeat customer here.

The tots with macncheese is literally tots with kraft macncheese from a box with some cheese sauce. We ordered drinks and they came out while we were eating and one, their ginger brandy old fashioned, didn't even reach me until I was done eating. The bar wasn't even busy. The atmosphere was good, but food and service, disappointing.

After ordering, we sat for a decent time and watched a large table be seated and given drinks before we recieved ours. Our drinks ended up coming awhile after receiving food, my mothers not coming until after we finished eating. My dinner was boxed mac n cheese thrown ontop of tots.

Truly enjoyed every bite along with the great music that played while my family and i ate. The food was so fresh and good. Drinks were delicious and just the right amount of liquor. The bar was clean and the bathroom as well. Prices are average but worth it. Joe was super nice and polite. Cant wait to come back for another trip.

Drinks were very syrupy and difficult to drink. The fries unsalted and unflavored. The Mac and cheese tater tots had Kraft Mac and cheese, little disappointing considering Wisconsin is known for its cheese. Maybe the cook just had a bad day. The waitress was very kind and comp’d the drink.

I'm not a fan of tots, normally, but DD's were very good.
We ordered the Pork Torta, City Slicker, and a side of slaw. Slaw was the only thing I didn't like. It's well made just not to my palette.
Ginger Old Fashioned and Vodka Peach Smash were great too.
The server was pleasant and attentive.

Wow, sorry I did not take a picture of my food. It was so delicious the suggestion from the bartender I was going to order the shrimp and he suggested a different version which included the shrimp lol thanks you guys it was a quick meal and again I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures of the food so delicious and everyone was so happy here I've been to two other bars in town and experience negativity. Thanks you guys.

This is a smaller space located on Broadway in downtown Wisconsin Dells. The interior is warm and inviting. Our group of nine was seated at two adjoining high-top tables. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The food menu is unique, with a variety of creative sandwiches, along with a number of Tater-Tot based creations. Everyone in our group was pleased with their food. On the Saturday evening we were there, there was live music. Overall, a nice addition to the Dells restaurant scene.

We waited a while before staff came to our table.. only I waitress. The meat was filthy dirty. Our whisky beer lemonade drink was warm and discussing. Thanks to the waitress for being us glasses with ice. Than to the food. It was horrible! Only reason we went there is because we had a $50 gift card. Will never go back.

We were just there Sunday for Easter. Our waitress was the only one there, sad for her, but we had a very nice time, and she was super sweet, and funny. Just the spirit we needed for Easter. Our food was excellent, and we will definitely return again.

The food was amazing and the portions are nice sized.
We ordered Old Fashions and they were awesome, the bartender muddled the fruit which you don’t see much these days unfortunately.
I would definitely go back and definitely recommend checking it out.

Tried to order with doordash. I understand that sometimes drivers don't show up. So I tip big, like 50-100% big.

cheese curds we’re good. buffalo tater tots were ok but it’s not shredded chicken, it’s just cut up chicken strips with a ton of buffalo sauce. cajun shrimp tots were just a little bit of cajun seasoning with fried shrimp, it needed sauce or something the shrimp was good tho.

I cannot recommend the food at the Dells distillery. The sandwich was small. The small amount of meat that was on it was dry and salty. The bun was dry. there were no sides included. It was the worst sandwich I’ve ever had for $14.

Our waitress was super friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there. She took very good care of us.
The food was bland. We had nachos, loaded tots and a queso burger. The burger was the best part and it was just ok and it was very messy.
It wasn’t overly busy at the bar and there were 2 bartenders. It took a long time to get served. Our drinks were good, but our bartender wasn’t friendly at all. He never said hello or asked how we were doing. You could hardly hear him when he did speak. He didn’t smile even a little bit the entire time we were there.
I won’t be rushing back, but would possibly give them another try if I’m in the are again.

Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and should have known when I walked in and there was only 3 other people in the bar. Ordered a bourbon old fashioned for a drink and if they make their own bourbon they need to work on the recipe. Drink was not good at all as the bourbon was not good quality. For $45 a bottle it should be on par with other bourbons in that price range.
Ordered the Distillery Burger for a meal which comes with cheese curds and a cheese sauce on the burger. Which should have been a flavorful, cheesy burger it did not deliver. Burger is clearly frozen as there was no taste to it. No real taste the the cheese sauce either and it was quite bland. I would not come back to this establishment.

This is a great place, lots of room up and down with a patio up too and lots of TV's. The food is great. My wife and I split a sandwich and a side order of loaded tots. I also tried 2 sample shots of the whiskey that they sell in bottles. Yum

Probably one of the best places I've ever been in the Dells! The food is out of this world! My husband and I rented out the upstairs for our rehearsal dinner and they were absolutely AMAZING to work with!!!! So friendly and helpful, super on top of everything, and they were just the absolutely best throughout the whole thing! They stayed very on top of making sure the food was stocked, quick with making drinks and all of them came out perfect, and made sure that we were taken care of. The amazing waitress even gave me a pep talk when I got overwhelmed and stepped out for a minute! They were all around fantastic and I can't wait to return time and time again!

Came to the Dells for a relaxation vacation with my husband and we were looking for a place to eat dinner. Found this place down the road from our hotel and we figured we would give it a shot. We were NOT disappointed. I got the Philly tots and my husband got the City Slicker sandwich and fully loaded tots. So incredibly delicious. Highly recommend!

Stopped by after long weekend of skiing. Website sounded great. Small bar and we went in non tourist season but bar staff/waiter was friendly and food was good. Service was fast.
