I don't really do reviews much but as a chef myself I have to bring a serious issue that just happened. I bought a bourbon chicken skillet as I usually do from denny's. The food arrives by Uber eats and I take a bite of the chicken and it was clearly either cross contaminated with something hot and spicy to a level that burned my tongue and I love spicy food.

I called the store to notify since cross contamination is a SERIOUS issue that could potentially injure or send someone to the hospital due to allergens and other reasons.

The manager claims it wasn't there she even blamed the Uber driver claiming they opened my food and put spicy seasoning on it which is as ridiculous as it sounds. Did not take the issue seriously and I strongly suggest corporate check this restaurant and check was is going on this could've been an allergen and a manager shifting blame and not taking responsibility of something this serious is a huge red flag and unprofessional.

We stopped to eat on our way back from Chicago. Great value and quality food. Samantha did a great job taking care of me.i go out of my way to stop when Samantha works. I feel she makes a difference here at Denny's.

I also come for breakfast many times during the week. Pat is always welcoming and does a great job of taking care of me and other regular customers. You can get food at a lot of different places but the server can make the difference in your meal. I look forward to seeing Pat on weekday mornings.

I ordered chicken fried chicken with double seasoned fries. It tasted more like some overdone dried chicken tenders and the gravy was bland plus watery. Gravy should be creamy and thick so I was very disappointed. The fries were okay, not great but I've had worse. I watched one of the servers using dirty trays to serve food. The booths have almost no wiggle room. None of the employees looked cheerful or happy to be there. Our server had a B.O. issue and while he was attentive to our needs, he never smiled and took awhile to give us our check until we asked.

There's not much bad that you can say about most Denny's locations. They've been around forever. The quality of food and service that I get is usually as I expected. Alot of their menu items are priced right but they lost a star with me across all of their locations because BREAKFAST & BURGERS (especially with a lower quality ground product that they use for their burgers) SHOULDN'T BE AS EXPENSIVE. I have felt this way since the covid reopening but, the current egg price we're experiencing today is a different story and I understand and restaurants need to raise a price. Also, for the money they charge for a burger and fries, singke or double, the flavor lacks flavor! It tastes kinda like meat but, where's the seasoning? Where's a little bit of flavorful grease with your "meat".??.

Bottom line, if I have to salt it and/or dip it in ketchup just to be able to fully enjoy it, a burger shouldn't cost more than 6 bucks. 8 or 9 bucks for a double. Add in a coupla bucks for fries too but, that should be it.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Denny's and even still get a burger every now and then because I know what I can expect. I hope one day they knock at least $3 off of all of their breakfast offers and burgers.
