Revised Review! At the date of my meal mg waitress was excellent, ate a late breakfast and the sausage/bacon was cold. Stuffed French Toast lukewarm, but palletable. Coffee was good.

Place is nice with the old vibes however some of the food items that the cook prepared was left undesirable. 3 people at our table ordered French toast and the French toast was hard and was unable to eat. We ordered over medium eggs and received over easy eggs. The bacon was extremely thin. The appetizer sampler was great. Pancakes where on the thin side but fluffy. Server never came to our table to check up on us or what we needed. Never received a refill on water which is all I drink. Upon speaking to the waitress she in turned spoke to the manager recieved a $14 discount. But the waitress recieved a 22% gratuity which was not deserved based solely on her service not the food. On another note I have been coming to the dells since the 80's and bring my family since the 2000s and been going to this establishment on the regular while out here on vacation. However I believe this was the tipping point. I have had plenty of great experience at this place but when your bill is $150 for breakfast for 6 people and your automatically adding 22% gratuity then make sure we have water at the table.

Terribly rude host, and food was disgusting!

This was about our 6th time in the past few years going to the restaurant. Why did it get so bad? It was almost 10am and it was dead on a SUNDAY! The host threw our menus on the table, crayons fell on the floor, and didn't ask if we wanted a booster seat or high chair.

Our bacon and sausage was cold. We told the waitress and she gave us more cold bacon. The hash browns were stale and old tasting. My 11 niece also got a kids menu item and charged an adult juice instead of kids.

4 adults and a baby and they put us in the smallest booth...the place was empty so, we should've been allowed a bigger booth. We had to go get our own high chair,they didn't even bother to offer it to us. The food was served very cold! The waitress did bring out fresh meat after we complained. The staff were very loud while standing around. This has always been our family's favorite go to place in the Dells but after today we'll be looking else where. Not to mention an automatic 15% gratuity! It's posted for parties of 5 or more. The baby did not eat so it should have been a party of 4 but they still tacked it on. Won't be back.

Thought me and my family would come eat here after a long day at Wisconsin Dells. Came inside and got sat at a table, but you can clearly see that others were just sitting here, with kids crayons laid all over the table we got sat at, and old menus that were on it. Not a very good start, but I let it go. Crystal then took our drink orders then after a bit, our orders for food. I personally ordered the T-Bone steak that comes with two sides. Crystal then proceeds to ask if I just wanted the T-bone or if I wanted both sides with it. I told her I wanted both sides along with my T-bone and thought I’ve confirmed it with her that I do. But when my steak came in, only the steak came. And so I was confused, and gladly, my glorious girlfriend asks Crystal about the sides. And I understand that mistakes like that are made all the time. So none of that bothered me, and after a bit my two sides arrived. My girlfriend then proceeds to whisper to me if I notice anything with Crystal. I didn’t notice anything, but my girlfriend then tells me how different she is treating the other customers compared to how she was talking with us. That she was acting a lot more polite with other families that were arriving. Note that a party of 5+, an automatic 15% tip fee is added with the bill, and so I was thinking if she was treating us differently because Crystal is already guaranteed a 15% tip. After finishing up, we received the bill, and it turns out that the two sides were separately added onto the bill, making it a lot more than it should be. So we were able to talk with them and have that problem solved. Not only was our waitress unprofessional with us, I only put a two star on their food because my families experience wasn’t as bad as mine. My steak was bland, had a light grey color to it, and was no where near the medium rare I requested. The best part of my dinner was the hot sauce I ate with it. Not worth my time and money to come back. Not only did me and my family get treated differently by Crystal, it also seems like other families that arrived after us, got their food a lot sooner than we did. Thank the lord I am only visiting from another state, otherwise I’d be devastated if this place would be my local Denny’s. Would not recommend to anyone who’s visiting (or even locals) from out of state that are looking for a family restaurant to eat at.

Wow! We went to this Denny's around 11 A.M. They had wonderful food. The staff were very nice, but what impressed me the most was the staff's ability to work as a team & still give great service. As a previous server, I know how difficult it can be to do both! I loved seeing people help run the servers food. This clearly allowed them to assist in making business move very steadily, while mainitaing their friendliness about them. I was so impressed with a man that rang up our food, asked how everything was...then all of the sudden our waiter hollered out for a follow. He was on it, ready to follow while we finished checking out. Once he followed our server, who I believed was the manager picked up right away where he left off. I love seeing managera very involved with their staff as well. Thanks Denny's staff at this location this morning!🤍

Food and service has been a disappointment each time. We thought maybe it was a bad experience the first time because it was busy...but the next time we went when it was almost empty, the food still was a disappointment along with service. For the price, you would expect at least decent. Side note: you shouldn't be able to pick up ALL your shredded hashbrowns at once and have a crunch that felt like it could chip a tooth. (That was even a non-busy time.) The building is neat but that's it.

Very prompt and accurate. The food was delicious! It was 67.00 for 4 of us. We purchased a steak and vegetable omelet, the french toast platter, and the mac and cheese with the side of pancake. While heading to Michigan, my family stopped in the Dells for lunch the day after Christmas at Denny’s.

The restaurant was full to the brim with families vacationing. However, the staff was friendly. They were fast and they were efficient my three grandbabies, all under the age of seven clean their plates, and our server was attentive, kind, and polite. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Chicago for 3 days. This was the 1st breakfast stop. It ended up being the most expensive of the other places and the worst quality food of the 3. I had a burger, and Culver's next door is 10x better. Hubs had French toast and it was chewy and hard. He drenched them in syrup "to soften them up". I am not surprised Denny's is closing more and more locations.

The older reviews are misguiding and led us here. We were really let down by the food quality here. Almost everything, from hash browns to berries and even the waffles, was just cheap frozen stuff heated up. I see older reviews with fresh fruit but things have changed. Denny’s is now cutting corners to make more profit, yet the prices have only increased, which is a shame. Sad to see corporate greed taking over.

Do yourself a favor and visit a place that is still keeping the tradition of good, honest cooking alive.

It's Denny's. If you like Denny's you'll like it. Does get crowded and seating can be tight. Sort of unique decor. I'm used to regular Denny's and this one's certainly a bit different. Menu's the same as everywhere though.
