I ordered pizza 4 hours ago, was told 3 times that the pizzas are on their way, and was even supposedly comped for the pizza and assured that the manager will ensure fresh pizza is heading to me in 5 minutes (said one hour ago). It has been a lot of stress on my family to wait for dinner that never showed up, and I had to scramble to find food for my kids and husband. I don’t care how good the pizza is, this has been a horrible customer experience with several lies told. At this point I’m not going to be shocked if they didn’t actually return my money for the pizzas they never sent. Please do not spend your hard earned money here.

Update: shortly after 4 hours the pizza arrived. It was undercooked and definitely not the quality we were used to. We appreciate the attempt to get us a fresh pizza after the whole ordeal, even though it didn’t work out.

No wait today, on a Friday. The 3 of us got there early at 4:00 pm. There are many regular folks here and I meet once leaving as we enter. He said the fish fry was delicious.

We had the all you can eat fried Cod. Our waiter kept forgetting to bring things we asked for. He told my companion that the can sodas were $1.85, but when we got the bill, it was $2.00 for a 12oz. can of soda that is ridiculous. Sodas in the grocery stores are less than $12.00 a 6 pack. Ordered a pizza on Superbowl Sunday. I was told 1 hour and 15 minutes. I showed up at said time, paid and was told 15 more minutes. I was still there 1 hour and 15 minutes later. And then I was told my pizza was overcooked and I could have my money back. I said just make me one now as I have waited this long. I was told, “sorry we can’t do that”. I left without any food. They did offer a free pizza in the future. I politely declined. As I have never had their pizza, I can’t say if it’s good or not.
I’m sure on a normal day they are much better. But I will not return to find out.

Went there with a friend and they did not disappoint. I started with the cream of lemon and chicken soup. Good and thick with plenty of chicken!!! I gave a 3 star review but I couldn’t decide between a 1 star or a 5 star. I live a few blocks down and have been ordering food from Derango’s for years and something has changed. One word “inconsistent” would describe the experience. The food quality, the service, the order being correct, the delivery times are all 50/50 if it’s going to be spot on and excellent or totally ruin your $75 order. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern about what day or time or what type or size of order it could be really good or really bad to the point that you almost suspect sabotage. You get a pizza that’s so obviously under cooked and wonder what adult human approved this. We had a bad order a few days ago and I didn’t write a review but I had a taste for fried chicken and my wife is flat out saying no to Derango’s and counting off the litany bad orders we’ve had but I’m more forgiving and optimistic. I always get chicken from derangos. Never had a problem until last time. Not only did it look like it had been eaten off of but I was shorted a piece. I complained to the manager and she very rudely told me no one ate off of my food but I would receive an oops card. I received it today and it was for $2! Completely unacceptable.

I love you guys so much! Your food is nothing short of amazing every time, but i only have one suggestion.

You really need to learn when to cut that older lady dishwasher of yours off. She is in there quite often when we visit, whether lunch or dinner, and she always seems like she's had a few too many cervesas. She seems like a nice lady, we've talked with her on a couple occasions but it's like she gets one too many in her and turns mean, complaining about her job and fellow employees as well.

Last night (Mon 29th) she was in rare form, not only arguing with the big bald guy she is usually arguing with, but randomly starting with other patrons at the bar, enough to the point where one guy got up and actually changed seats to get away from her because out of nowhere she started in on him. This went on for a while and was still going on when we left, not because of her, we were just done eating.

As entertaining as it was, it just doesn't look good for a small busines. Might wanna keep this in mind as I'm sure some other customers weren't as entertained as my Familia was.

And don't worry, this didn't scare us away. We WILL be back. Your food is way too good. ❤️❤️

I ordered a gyro - it was one of the saddest longing gyros i ever had. I know this is not a greek place, but i would expect a gyro to be a gyro anywhere? How hard is it to buy it in, put it on the rotator - cut it, slice it, flat bread
Well this place they do not use actual flat bread, was weird looking gyro meat, and no toppings like you would expect tomatoes, nope, white sauce with it nope. It was just 'gyro meat' very thinly sliced, all stacked up very very compressed on a small 'flat bread' type sandwich
I also ordered the garlic and cheese bread as an app. It was legit toast with some garlic salt maybe with a deli slice of cheese on top of it just barely melted.

Where to begin... This was our first time here but heard good things from others. We parked and walked around to the front, which is NOT the entrance, which is in back. So we finally enter, but aren't greeted, so we stood there looking stupid. Finally, we just sat down. Mind you, there are no signs saying to be seated which is why we waited. The water was probably the best part of dinner. We ordered, me getting 1/2 fried chicken and she getting the lasagna. We both had what was called chicken dumpling soup, which was ok. And then the wait began. It took 45 minutes to get our food. Tables that came in after us already had their food. My wife is so patient, but not that night. We asked for containers to take the food with us since we were already mad at how long it took. Never once did anyone say anything to us, no manager approached, nothing. I did tell the server that we weren't happy and almost walked out, but still...nothing. oh, and if you want a quiet place for dinner, this is NOT the place. It was very noisy. We paid the bill and tipped the server and left. We won't be back after that experience. The fried chicken? It was bad, but nothing special. My wife's lasagna was ok, but had so much sauce on it. What a shame....

I rated a 3 because no line system u can wait 30 mins for a table to have someone come in after u n take the table before u get to it and no one tells them there was people ahead of them so i found it rude and totally uncalled for food is def five stars tho

Came up from Chicago to visit my girlfriend and she took me here on Saturday afternoon. I loved it. Great atmosphere great staff and try their meatball bomber on garlic bread!

Two of us came in and asked where to sit we were told anywhere. We then sat there for 10 minutes waiting for anyone to come to the table, the person that we asked where we can sit in that 10 minutes went to every other table around us and did not come to our table once to give us menus or do anything. We ended up walking out and I just will not return. There's no reason to. I would pick any other pizza place or Italian place over this one if given choice!

Last Saturday 2/10/24
I was able to convience my Familia from out Town to come over because i wanted to invite them to Kenosha and enjoy together as a Family at DeRango's.
I have been there multiple times by my self and with some other company as well and never had such a bad experience as recently happend.
We arrived at DeRangos at around 8-9pm.
We sat down at an open table as we noticed one of the waitress (didnt get her name) coming over to greet us (which i seen before as a bartender before).
She came over with not the greatest Manners and took our drink and food order.
Everything was going well until she came back with drinks and a small basket of breastick and crackers and started to literally throw that to the table and started with a bad attitude.
My Familia and i we were looking at each other because we couldnt believe the service so far..
We didnt say much and tried not to pay to much attention to her Rudeness...
Then when she came back with our food again with very rude manners and we were all disappointed because she started to throw the Dishes again to the table and on top of that the food was wrong.
We tried to explain the waitress that we didnt order what she bring but she started on confronting us instead and she said that there was nothing that she could do.
At that point we were all now kind of upset because we never had a service like that , then she got even more smatter when out of nowhere she said " THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR MEXICANS" then we just looked again at each other and couldnt believe what level of ignorance and poor education she just reached.
In a place and a town with different Etnicities and Diversity i dont think there is room for comments like that.
I dont think she will feel too welcome if she walked in to a Mexican Restaurant and the waitress or Waiter tell her the samething to her with her family.
We didnt say much , we just got up and started to walking out the door as "she came outside to say that we had to pay for the food we didnt even touch and that she even bringed incorrectly.
I just went back and pay only for the drinks that we did drink and walk away.
I hope the owner can read this comment and talk to their personel , specially this "waitress"
Is 2024 people cant go around been that way.
Please select your workers properly and if necesary please teach them manners and respect since obviously she didnt get any education at home.
My Family now is Very Disappointed about the experience and we might not come back only because of this person.
I advice my Latino people to watch where you go and please report and do reviews like this one so everyone knows whats the place is really about.
