Classic Wisconsin supper club atmosphere. Service was good, but the food was average at best. I had good company and enjoyed myself, but I've experienced similar environments at other supper clubs and not been disappointed with the quality of the meal. I would look elsewhere.

Four of us went and had their fish fry, which was good. Serve good! But we were upset when we asked for individual checks for 4 people, they charged each of us $2.50 for that request. In today’s world it’s not too difficult to give individual checks. Disappointed!!

Our party consisted of 5 adults and 3 children celebrating Mother's Day on Saturday. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their entree's. The steaks were cooked perfect, the twice baked potatoes were amazing, juicy tender lobster and scallops, the prime was a true flavorful experience. We even ordered after dinner ice cream drinks, turtle cheese cake, apple pie served with cinnamon ice cream and the kids had vanilla ice cream. The only negative was the the tables were too close together and people had a hard time walking through without bumping your chair. We loved the old school steak house feel and decor. It was a bit on the pricey side. The prices certainly went up considerably from the menus posted on Facebook.
We don't mind paying money for great food so Diamond Jim's is now on the top of my list for fine, delicious food!!!

The food was very good, and it should be at those prices. However, the experience was ruined when the bill came. My steak was $75. I never, ever, would have ordered such a high priced meal. The problem began when the waitress ran through the nightly specials, one after the other, then at the end said “for $40”. This led me to believe that ALL the specials were that price. She also snuck in a $2.00 up charge for the French onion soup without informing me. We tipped her fairly, but I felt preyed upon and scammed. Never going back there!!!

I very much enjoy the supper club atmosphere. Wait staff are very friendly. We started with the fried eggplant appetizer, which were very large cuts dipped in a light and crispy batter and served with lemon wedges, parm cheese, and marinara sauce. ($12). Soup or salad comes with an entrée along with a small bread basket and relish tray. The four piece fried chicken was wonderful and priced at $25. I had the half rack of ribs for $22 and paid a small upcharge for the twice baked potato. I had a lot left over. The husband ordered the bone in ribeye, which he said was cooked to perfection. The daughter also ordered a piece of banana cream pie to go. Everything was absolutely delicious.

More like Cubic Zirconia Jim's. Overall the experience was middling at best.

Started with an old fashioned sweet at the bar. It was not muddled and the mix was cinnamon flavored, like literally all you could taste was cinnamon. Everyone who ordered an old fashioned did not order another. One of the worst old fashioned I have had at a supper club.

For dinner I ordered the Seafood platter sauteed which came with 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, and a large piece of cod. For my starter I went with the French onion soup and for a side I ordered the green beans.

After placing our order the relish tray and bread came out which were nothing to write home about. A few limp olives, carrots, radishes, and green onions. The bread could have come from Wal Mart's deli. As a table of 8, 6 of the meals came out at once and the last two came five minutes later. My seafood trio was missing the fish which came out another 5 minutes later because it "had to be cooked to perfection."

The soup was fine, relatively flavorless but at least there was a lot of cheese? The green beans were very good, crisp wish a nice garlic seasoning. Now onto the seafood. The scallops were cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning and flavor. The shrimp was slightly overcooked and bland. The cod was way overcooked and completely flavorless. I'm not sure how the seafood was all so bland when the plates were swimming in butter.

Overall a very average meal and definitely not worth the price. The service was fine, nothing to write home about.

I'm up "north" from south Chicago suburbs for work. Hotel living for months. My wife comes up to stay with me on her days off. We love rare rare prime rib. We go out of our way to try "moo-ing" cow whenever in a different town. If "Diamond Jims" wasn't the best we've both agreed on,,then it was definitely the second best!! We ate at the bar and I regret forgetting bartenders name that served us but she was amazing! Hales Corners is 90 miles from where we live. Will definitely make trips up just for the meat!! Oh yeah, shrimp cocktail was awesome too!!

Had dinner here for my wife’s birthday. First time there and it was okay but nothing special. Steaks were fine but the potato, onion rings and salads weren’t very good. And most disappointing of all was the fact that they didn’t have French onion soup which was pathetic!
Also they didn’t even comp my wife a free dessert for her birthday…..who doesn’t do that??

Everything you'd expect from a traditional supper club. The atmosphere was very retro, very family comfort and inviting. The service was above and beyond! Never had to ask for anything she was at our table every time she noticed a drink was getting empty. Came to our table with to go boxes and asked if we needed them. The food was absolutely fantastic, I definitely can't wait to go back and try more. Everyone's food at the table was cooked exactly how they asked for. We had a party of eight and everything went perfect. The price was everything you'd expect for a top notch steak. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone.

Had prime rib last night1/25/25 wife had sauteed shrimp. Both meals were excellent, awesome flavor . The only thing that was a tiny bit irritating was the waiter. Took our beverage order returned two minutes later and couldn't remember who had what. Then our food came and he put my king cut prime rib in front of my wife and her shrimp in front of me. Mind you we were there before they got busy, he could step up his game a little that's all I'm saying. Definitely recommend the prime rib delicious!

My daughter and I were seated immediately at a nice corner table. Our server was knowledgeable and precise. He was very busy with several tables, but always hurried to get us anything we needed. When I asked about their vegetable side, he recommended I try the green beans. Soooo glad I did!

I ordered the petite filet and she got the French dip. We also ordered the combo platter appetizer with shrimp, mozzarella sticks and chicken. So yummy... with both BBQ and marinara sauces on the side.

My filet was very good. Very flavorful and tender. I had asked for medium cook and the center was a tad more rare than I wanted, but that was fine since I was planning on keeping leftovers and cooked up the middle portion with my eggs the next morning. 🙂 Still super tender! It came with two tasty sautéed mushrooms... would've liked a few more.

My green beans were to die for!! Generous amount and so flavorful with the shaved garlic! I'm still dreaming of them.

My daughter had never ordered a French Dip before and enjoyed her meal very much. She'll always compare others to Diamond Jim's now.

One steak was over cooked when it came out of the two of us, both sent back because who wants to eat well the other person just watches them. Then when the steaks came out again they had no flavor. Way to much money to spend on somthing with no flavor. Twice baked potatoes didn't have A very good taste. They also have something wrong with the diet coke, over multiple time there.

The food was delicious. My wife and I both had filet mignons and both turned out amazing. We also really enjoyed their soups! The location and atmosphere is very cute but circulation isn't the greatest and there was some dusting needed. Our food did come out on a timely manner and hot. Drinks were great as well! However at the end, we ordered a banana cream pie to-go and our waitress forgot about it. Until we asked about it. Besides that, she was an exceptional waitress.

We live right in the neighborhood. This place is always a special treat. We mostly pick up but when we go in they are very accommodated for our young daughter. My in-laws also enjoy going. On prime days they get very busy but it's worth the wait.

Disappoinment from the staff, service and experience with the night. We had reservations for 7pm. We did not get seated until 7:45pm. No apology given.

14 of us crowded in the bar, that was at capacity, host had no reason for no table available.

Once seats were available, the configuration of tables left me and my husband ( his birthday dinner) on the rounded end of the short table. I had a sliver of table space.

Appetizers were ok. We had to ask 3x for bread baskets.
One guest with us had a terribly cooked meal, and sent it back. No replacement given as the rest of the group was already done.

Not recommended due to poor service, hit or miss food quality and their inability to host large groups with a reservation.

Went here for our anniversary dinner. Staff was welcoming and service was great. Had the queen cut prime rib and wife had the filet. Absolutely amazing. Good cesar salad and sides. Supporting our local businesses. After passing this place on our way to church for many years finally had the opportunity to stop and it was a good choice.

Our waitress was confrontational and egging on our inlaws insteadof trying to resolve the issue. It took a very long time to be seated to an empty room. Others seated after us received their food before us and waited no time at all. Our son's well done burger was burned and then his fries were not there. They gave him a twice baked potatoe and said it was on the house then charged us for it. I will not recommend unless you are a regular

From cocktails to dessert drinks, Diamond Jim's really deserved! We entered to find a friendly hostess that was very accommodating. The place is very inviting and cozy inside. The bartenders and our server were polite and attentive. We enjoyed wine and Old Fashioneds at the bar along with a taste of a pink squirrel before our meal. Conversations with the other customers added fun to the experience. The seafood bisque was excellent as was the Tomahawk steak and the filet and bacon wrapped scallops. Everything was cooked to order and delicious! The green beans were fresh and tasty. We ended our evening with a grasshopper and a small taste of a banana flavored ice cream drink. It was a fantastic evening at a great supper club!

We got a full rack with all the sides, to share. More than enough for 2 people. You'll want more though, even when you're pants don't fit anymore. You're still going to want more. The ribs fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. The Mashed potatoes are creamy buttery heaven.... oh my goodness, my stomach growls just thinking about it.... great, now I want more!

Great food, large portions and great atmosphere. You would think you went back in time to the 60's or 70's. The staff was excellent, and our waitress Terra was amazing. Very attentive with a great smile. She never had to look for her for a drink refill or to answer a question. She was asking you before you needed it. When you look at the menu it may look pricey but the portions and quality makes it a great value. I had the porterhouse, and my Wife had the prime rib. Too much to finish. The old fashions were great as well.

We took my mom out for her 80th birthday to Diamond Jim's. It was our first time and was recommended to us. The food was excellent. We typically like this place from times in the past but they have instituted and we were a party to some very sketchy situations last night.

First, a bartender served a person an Asti instead for a Reisling. We knew it wasn't right bc wine doesn't have bubbles. She said she served the right drink but upon pulling the bottle out and still insisting it was right.. I looked at it and pointed out her error. She finally agreed it was wrong. Then when I went to pay for my 2 drinks she tried to charge me for the error, which the Asti was previously paid for by our friends. Thank goodness I saw our friends change on the counter as proof of their previous payment and then she agreed with me. Also she said my credit card wasn't working but thankfully the other bartender handled the situation bc my credit card was fine. Still speaking of the bar, after dinner, a woman in our group was standing there trying to get someone to take her credit card to pay for a drink and after an absorbent amount of time being ignored, she handed cash plus a tip to an employee, asking him to cash her out as she had to get going. As another person in our party was trying to do the same, the bartender told that person he was responsible for paying the other person's bill who just paid with cash and left. He was severely hassled for something that wasn't his responsibility and was treated extremely poorly even by the Manager.

We had a big group, but their new policy is if they have to split the check by more then in half at a table, then everyone gets a $2.50 check split charge. Their excuse is that they have to by the interest charge for everyone to use their charge cards. But not everyone used a charge card and this reasoning makes no sense bc then EVERYONE in the restaurant should have that charge on their bill. There were 7 couples and 4 singles in our group. Everyone got a $2.50 charge totaling $27.50 extra in this restaurants pocket. I won't go into why this is absolutely ridiculous bc this is easily accommodated!!

And plan on a 20% service charge added for a tip regardless of the quality of service.

So sad...bc we used to like the place.

Ordered the battered walleye. Should be a no brainer in WI. Came out "broiled". No seasoning and covered in raw almond slices. Full of bones. Sent it back and changed to the broiled salmon. Came out cold and raw in the middle. Disgusting. Server did not credit for meal so I guess I threw away $30. Will not go back or recommend.

Love this place, fish fry is great usually all I get there. Prime rib I had once that was a hair dry but decent for the price. Last 2 times the prime rib was exceptionally good, gonna just say that one time was an exception. And tonight fish fry was excellent. When making the reservation, I was told a smaller menu but very small increase in prices....once they put their menu out on Facebook, bad news. Prices skyrocketed. I dont understand price gouging your loyal customers just because it is New Year's Eve. We cancelled our reservations. Sad. Even sadder, no response to my Facebook post to them, and they removed the menu from public view. I think there are going to be a lot of upset people when they see the menu in person.

My food was very good but very expensive. My wife said her prime rib was over done and cold when they brought it out. The relish tray and the bread were great. The French onion soup was delicious. I’m not sure I’d go there again because the price was so high for a mediocre experience.

Second time here. Service was poor but to be fair they were packed. Food was OK but me steak came out well done instead of medium. Sent it back and it came back extra rare. Sent it back the 3rd time and still medium rare at best. Decided that was enough. They were kind enough to remove it from the bill. Will give it another telry because the other 3 meals were fine and our previous visit was exceptional.

I have lived near this place for 15 years and finally we tried it. The filet was AMAZING! I love that the cost of the meal included a potato choice, salad, mushrooms and bread basket. The wine came in a large glass and was a generous pour. The decor is very much old school supper club. If you're looking for trendy or fancy, this is not your place. If you want a comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff and DELICIOUS filet and fried shrimp, get here and come hungry! I can't wait to go back!

My wife and I have been to diamond Jim's many times. The food and service is great and the last night was no exception! But I was surprised when we received our receipt which had a 20% gratuity added to it. The receipt clearly states that a 20% gratuity will be added to a party of six or more. Luckily my wife caught it because I would have added another 20 percent! Won't stop us from going again just FYI.

This Friday I had a party of 5 at diamond Jim's. I've had the scallops before and they were delicious. This time they were soft and fishy. Should've sent them back. But then you wait forever. My daughter had the 14 ounce filet and that was tough. Not like other times. I don't know if they had a new cook or what. I guess it was our fault for not bringing it to their attention. The other day I was talking with a friend and he said he's had the same experience there and has not been back.

A little taste of a Northwoods supper club, right here in Hales Corners. Our first visit here, despite living quite close, and it certainly won't be our last. Top level service from the minute you walk through the door. Delicious cocktails outside while we waited for our group to arrive was a good start to the evening. Appetizers were fresh and very high quality, with a relish tray thrown in to boot! Soups all sounded good. We all had the lobster bisque. Superb! Mains were as good as you'd expect at any quality supper club. The steaks were so tender and cooked to perfection. Bacon-wrapped scallops were fresh and melted in the mouth. Similar sentiments about their food were given by all our group. Desserts were probably overkill after the very substantial mains, but we still managed banana cream pie and apple pie. They did not disappoint either. Our server did a wonderful job from start to finish. Looked like it got very busy but did have a bar to wait at. Would recommend booking and not winging it. You don't come here for a cheap meal. It won't be. You come here for a great meal. That, it will be. Highly recommended.

Strange experience Saturday 8PM. My wife and I were looking for a good prime rib place. End of story first: Prime ribs were great despite an order mix-up (King med-rare and Queen medium came out reversed). But French Onion soup had horrid tasting inedible croutons. Overall, the service was quite distracted.

Service: No hostess for 4-5 minutes. Really. Eventually we were seated, but it was by the kitchen door despite many other open tables. Very busy/distracted waitress smiled each time she buzzed by. Getting our food ordered took quite a while. Then bread came but no butter. Requested butter as she dashed by. Later, sour cream took two requests. Small things, but representative of overall distracted service.

French Onion soup: Croutons had a bad rancid taste. We enjoy many spices, and these were NOT an odd spice flavor. Not edible. We fished them out from under the cheese. Tried a couple more nibbles to confirm - horrid. Told our waitress. Later reply: Kitchen says they are okay, and I served soup to 30 others tonight with no complaints. Sorry, but you did NOT serve OUR SOUPS to 30 other people. THESE soups had a problem. No one from the kitchen came out to follow-up. After fishing out the croutons we did eat the soup. Sans croutons, soup was ok but not great IMO.

The prime rib mix-up added to the strange experience: Ordered King med-rare Queen medium. Plates arrived. Waitress said SHE placed the med-rare marker queen cut, since it looked redder. We agreed, but it was the smaller cut. Doesn't the kitchen cut them and mark them? She said "maybe he cut them both as Kings". No, the med-rare was the thinner cut. We agreed to accept them and we shared both plates.

Repeating from above - both plates were quite tender and tasty. We will enjoy the leftovers at home, too. Maybe it just an odd night. We'll probably try again at some point, but with some hesitancy.

First, the entire team at Diamond Jim's treat you like family. A warmer atmosphere you could not have. Inviting from the moment you arrive to the salutations as you depart with a full stomach. Our 1st visit ever. I had the seafood platter (not battered). Scallops-Perfection! Shrimp, a bit overcooked & chewy. My cod filet was huge, but cold around the edges. The twice baked potato truly wonderful! My husband had the bone-in ribeye. It was grilled to Perfection! Beautiful sear, perfect medium center, and his twice baked potato outstanding! My martinis were exceptional. And a shout out to Justin, our waiter, who made our first time at Diamond Jim's, certainly not our last! He was professional and very personable. We will be back. Had it not been for my seafood shortcomings, it would easily have been a 5 star rating!
