We haven’t been to a Dickeys in a decade probably and we probably won’t be coming back. We made a to go order. The meat was decent enough but nobody told us we were supposed to get our own BBQ sauce after being asked what sauce we wanted on our meals. They were both dry. No sauce, no sides of sauce either. The onion tanglers were soggy or is that normal, I can’t find any descriptions for them. And, of course, we didn’t find any of this out until we were back at our hotel. Very displeased.

This place is an old favorite of mine and despite moving out to Michigan where there are plenty of Dickies, this one still stands out as the best! One of the biggest reasons for that being Taylor. I wanted to like this place because the customer service was nice and that’s hard to find nowadays but I have to be honest and this wasn’t it. The chicken sandwich and western sandwich were extremely small and tasteless. It was like a kids meal far as size goes. The 3 meat platter was also tasteless and dry and they don’t give you much meat or sauces at all. This wasn’t authentic BBQ so if you’re looking for that this isn’t for you. The sprite didn’t even taste like sprite so I didn’t have a good experience far as taste and the quality/quantity. Definitely wasn’t worth the $35-40+ we spent. I wouldn’t even go back if they offered to make it right because it was the lack of flavor and like I wrote it’s NOT authentic BBQ. DAY 2 UPDATE: Our stomachs are really sour. The fact that we had leftovers and it wasn’t a lot of food to begin with tells you everything you need to know. Clearly we discarded the rest of the food. This is a definite NEVER AGAIN LOCATION for us.

Honestly the worst brisket I've ever had. Zero flavor no smoke ring, turkey was juicy but zero flavor. Pulled pork dry as hell but decent flavor. Pork ribs are decent. Texas toast was great and so was the bun. My loaded mashed potatoes are juat mashed potatoes with no toppings and taste like generic dehydrated box potatoes and the fries are decent.

I’ve been to Dickey’s in multiple states, and this is by far the best location I have ever been to. This is my third time here and Taylor is always so great with the customers. I called after I received a delivery order from them, that had PLASTIC in the pulled pork ,they did not get our sides correct and the brisket and pulled pork we received was extremely dry. I spoke with the manager on duty and he stated that it’s impossible that the meat was dry because they store it at a certain temperature. He offered no remedies to the situation and completely disregarded that I found plastic in the food. The manager just stated “he’d check on it”. Won’t order from here again.

The sauces are very stock. When I heard the Indian accent... Being from Devon in Chicago... I was expecting some Desi style seasonings snuck in there. The brisket was very standard and quite good. The pulled pork was also decent as were the ribs. I would like to see more sauce variety such as regional offerings like Alabama white BBQ for the chicken and fries, Nashville hot, Memphis sweet, etc and the only other gripe is that the air conditioning should be higher if you're going to sell beer because the beer should not get warm before the food is served.

Please note that at no point did I personally feel discomfort with the temperature. This is not a true complaint, just a recommendation for places with a liquor license in general. It's way easier to buy and drink more beer if it's ice cold and stays cold. I was also happy with the initial temperature of my beer.

I absolutely LOVE how there’s different specials for each day of the week! This restaurant is so nice, and the workers move fast, and are very very helpful. The owner even comes to the tables asking how the food is and having conversations. The employees greet you as soon as you walk in and say “Thank you, have a nice day” when leaving! Order at counter. Served at your choice of available table. This location is DEAD (compared to every storefront in the area) . Both times I've visited- we were the only customers. BUT! I hadn’t been to this Dickey’s in a while. But this is my second stop in a week. I’ll definitely be coming back more frequently. Everything we have had has been very good. Especially the “Westerner” sandwich! The pulled pork and sides are also very good. The staff, including the owner, are always incredibly attentive and make sure everyone is enjoying their meal. It’s clear they truly care about creating a great experience for their guests. I’m excited to make this place a regular stop again!

I stopped in since I was craving some brisket. With the 2 meat plate and lil yellow cup was over $21. I got ONE small slice of Brisket. I don't know if the portions are done by weight or whatnot but that's pretty ridiculous for the price. And one of my sides (baked beans) was undercooked, with beans being literally crunchy. The beef brisket was very good. Now I’ve been to many Texas barbecue places because when I’m in Texas that’s what I eat! Texans will have their many opinions of barbecue. As a Wisconsinite I thought it was fantastic. My palate may not be as well refined as some Texas barbecue enthusiasts but it was excellentbto me and on par with good Texas bbq places. It’s not easy to find beef brisket in Kenosha. I’m glad when I get a craving now I have a place to go.

This place used to be good. Huge disappointment. Seems to have new owners. Overpriced. Hand cut fries are frozen. Meat was luke warm. I no longer see the smoker. It smelled like liquid smoke when we walked in. The slider buns are a joke. It’s a dense dinner roll that’s not precut. They no longer have ice cream cones. It’s obvious they’re cutting corners to save money. The front door is filthy and there are cobwebs on the chandelier. We will not be back.

To quote the former senator from Texas, Lloyd Bentsen, "I know Texas BBQ and you are not Texas BBQ." (or something like that). At its best Dickey's is ho-hum Texas BBQ. Unfortunately, this is nowhere near Dickey's best. Honestly, this is really (REALLY) bad BBQ. Served at room temperature? Check. Shredded pot roast masquerading as chopped smoked brisket? Check.

To be fair, the folks working there were super nice and the service was good. However, if you're looking for decent BBQ, there are other options.

This place went downhill. Used to be a family favorite, but now the food Is served at room temperature, over priced and small portions. $60 for 3 meals, 1 being a kids nugget. They replaced the Dino nuggets with an inferior nugget. Our child used to rave about going to dickeys for the best nuggets and this time she didn’t even finish them as she didn’t care for the taste. Ribs are two bones and mostly bone with less very minimal meat. Brisket not sliced correctly. Chicken breast was 2 ounces cooked. No ice cream. On the way out, my wife and I agreed that we can do without this Dickeys moving forward.

What happened to you guys? The brisket was dry and not even sliced properly. The loaded baked potato was undercooked. The pulled pork had zero flavor. The brisket chilli tasted like it was weeks old. The fries were mushy and greasy like the oil was too cold. The green beans tasted like they were pickled. The only saving grace was the chicken Caesar salad.
Seriously McDonald's would have been a better option. This place used to be great but wow. It's like they don't know how to barbecue any more.

I do find the brisket is sometimes dry, so I typically stick to the jalapeño cheddar sausage, which is usually pretty good, but sometimes is cooked differently, and the consistency of the food changes. Green beans are the best in the game, in my opinion. The mashed taters are pretty good too.

My biggest complaint and really only "complaint" is the floor. It is always SO sticky. I don't know if it needs stripped and waxed or just mopped, but I find the floor a tad but repulsive.

It is always sometimes very warm in the building, not sure if that is an AC problem or owner trying to save a buck.

Kenosha WI location - Dry brisket meat, old tough chicken breast, no BBQ sauce included in the order, 3 meats in the 3 meat plate don't add up to 4 oz combined.. please don't call it a plate...all sides are downsized.... Try at your own risk....me on the other hand, NEVER again....never...never... never
