They had major festival last weekend. On Wed 3 cars pulled into the museum parking lot at the same time Illinois,Nebraska, and Michigan (I believe) only to find a paper note on the door " Sorry closed today". Unbelievable and disappointed.

Maps listing says they’re open every day but Monday. Their website says they’re open everyday but Monday. The sign on the side of the building says open everyday day but Monday. Here it is a Tuesday and they’re closed. Small sign on the door says closed Monday AND Tuesday. Update your hours online !!! People schedule trips based on things like this.

We stopped by the Discover Cranberries museum in Warrens, WI on our drive from Minneapolis to Madison. It’s a small museum, but super informative and really well maintained. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about every aspect of cranberry farming and harvesting. There’s also a nice gift shop, cafe and ice cream parlor.

First, this museum is done to perfection. It tells you everything you didn't know about cranberries!
Second, the gift shop has a lot of handmade local crafts.
Third, the food was delicious. It was everything you would expect from going to the local lunch counter.
Last, the people were welcoming and the service was great.

It's all about cranberries: growing, harvesting, distributing, and eating. Lunch is served on the main floor and the Discovery Center is in the lower level. Charles was our private tour guide. He farmed cranberries so he knew the history, the equipment, and all the steps from planting to harvest to distribution. Lunch in the roomy cafe was chicken salad on wild rice cranberry bread, chips, a beverage, and cranberry ice cream. Yum! The Discovery Center also has a gift shop filled with all things cranberry.

It was a little confusing when we first walked in because there are multiple areas and they wanted to know where we wanted to go (and we needed to know what they had to offer - what our choices were). BTW: the basement is the museum area, the main floor has a gift shop (with everything cranberry) and a restaurant (with some food options and ice cream, including cranberry ice cream - which was good and definitely worth trying). It was interesting learning about cranberry production in Wisconsin (definitely learned a few things).

It was a lovely place. I apologize for not remembering the cashiers' name, but she was so sweet, so helpful, and informed. She knew the wines. And I can't wait to open the chocolate covered cranberries. My husband and I got ice cream cones, orange cranberry, kind of like sherbert, and I had the cranberry delight which was SO yummy! Some gifts to buy, and a family looking like they were enjoying a lunch there. I would come back again. Thank you for the fun experience! 😊

Walked in immediately the lady was so nice she greeted us at the door and was very friendly. The family bundle is great you save 10$ and it is definitely worth it. They also had a nice scavenger hunt for the kids and had loads of things for the kids to play with and interact with also a nice table with crayons and coloring sheets and a word search. It was very educational but not boring was very interesting for kids. Ice cream was amazing and very cheap. Overall the lady was very nice and every thing was nice and cheap definitely if you need to kill 45 minutes definitely stop here.
