The service was bad the guy who was the waiter.
Was at the counter playing on his phone and the food was not good at all. Their portions were really small. And it was really expensive for them.

A must stop along the Elroy Sparta bike trail. Food was very good and at fair prices. Before and after the meal we enjoyed watching the goats and llamas. We even were able to see the beekeepers at work.
The cinnamon rolls deserve an extra star, but the best part was how friendly the owner is. He’s the type of guy everyone would want as their neighbor.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but this place deserves it!
We were just stopping by for breakfast after a music festival at Driftless Music Gardens nearby. It was so much more than a delicious breakfast.
We were greeted by two baby goats roaming around looking for cuddles!
After the affordable and delicious breakfast we went back out to find out there were all sorts of animals looking for pets, including Llamas! Then I found out there were 800 bee hives on the property and I had to get some honey! The very kind owner Rick opened the shop for us and let us pour our own honey! So much honey and when we tried to pay he said it was his gift to us. We of course paid what we could but the gifts didn’t stop… this man proceeded to give us fresh veggies, eggs, and a tour, all while explaining the importance of helping each other as much as possible.
I haven’t witnessed this kind of generosity in a very long time. And it was so lovely!
I couldn’t recommend this place more! Will most definitely be back!

What a wonderful country restaurant. Just outside of Wilton, Wi. Great food! My hamburger was excellent. Coleslaw was the best I've had. Fresh beef grown there. Paul had ham and cheese on Texas toast, american fries, browned just right.
We will dine there again. Definitely worth the drive.

Unfortunately, the rating scale only goes to 5, because this place is a 10! The waiters are so good natured and friendly, the atmosphere is just cozy, and the food is amazing! And then finish it off with some of the best pie you'll ever taste! Recommend calling ahead for a reservation.

I wish I didn't have to write this but breakfast was pretty bad. The ingredients were great, I could tell they were fresh veggies. But they browned the omelette and didn't brown the hash browns. If you are a chef, you start the meal over if you ever do that, not serve it. And I know that's costly but it's part of being a restaurant.

Charming old schoolhouse with a limited, but very well executed menu. Incredibly good fish fry. Everything our table ordered was enjoyed - prime rib, burgers, Reuben sandwich. Such a delightful unique little restaurant! A must when I am in town for work. The food is home-cooked with love, and the environment is so cool. Not everyday you get to say you've eaten dinner in a one-room school house. It is cozy and homey, like Cracker Barrel but more authentic. The staff are always very kind and welcoming too.

This is the type of restaurant where you feel like you're in Grandma's house and Grandpa comes out to greet you and check on your day and make sure everything is good with your meal. I had the Corned Beef hash scramble, amazing! Not your typical shaved corned beef lunch meat like a lot of places do. Big, juicy, real corned beef brisket chunks; obviously roasted for many hours. The food here is really good and it's cheap. Please tip your server well. The service here is top notch. They make you feel at home even when you don't know anyone there and you don't live in the area. Can't wait to go again, it's been about 12 years since the last time we were here, the place has gladly stayed the same...

This place was amazing - Fresh Food
1. The food was cooked with care and perfect
2. Amazing pickles (for real the best I have had)
3. Great Bloody Marys
I thought this place was an Amish bakery and to my surprise it was that hidden treasure of a restaraunt. After eating frozen fried crud at every place in this area it was an amazing spot to stumble on.
Go if you can. It is on a really cool farm I can see this place getting so packed they have to serve in the barn.
The service was top notch for these days, they let us ring the school bell.
I just have to say again well done service well done cook and I am coming again .. for everything BUT I am targeting those pickles
To all that pass by this place I feel sorry for you

First time stopping in for dinner with some friends and we had a wonderful time. We were greeted by Rick, the owner, who was especially gracious and talked to us about the history of the schoolhouse and restaurant. A very interesting story to say the least. I had the hamburger steak with american fries and a garden salad. The salad (iceberg lettuce) tasted fresh with juicy tomatoes, onions and crisp cucumbers. The hamburger was cooked perfectly, juicy and very flavorful. I would have preferred the onions cooked a bit more but were tasty. The mushrooms were few. Several of the american fries seemed to been on the grill too long as they developed a hard crust on one side and were difficult to eat. I would have preferred seeing a mashed potato selection. Enjoyed the squash which was a surprise! All in all it was a very pleasant meal with great service by the waitress. Rick was the most excellent host in this cozy remodeled schoolhouse and made the meal an event. We'll be back for sure to try the pie and some of the other selections.

I had passed this restaurant while in the area, and decided to turn around and give it a try. And I must say that I was not disappointed at all. My waitress and hostess was Kim, and she could not have been any more kind or accommodating.
The food was fantastic and the portions were great. The decor is phenomenal, and this little known place in Wisconsin is a great place to go to get your lunch or breakfast. They also have locally made breads and other items for purchase. There’s also a barber as well as a Mercantile store that is open during the weekends.

I have a special place in my heart for Schoolhouse restaurants. The breakfast scramble was good but I was a bit disappointed and caught off guard to be given nacho cheese on top of any food other than nachos much less Brunch. Awesome place with so great fish on Fridays. The homemade Hickory crumb pie was super. Nice clean place with super staff. I will be back.
