Food was terrible, even our 3yo wouldn't eat her meal...the service was excellent, but the food wasn't it. Drinks tasted strong, weren't really but the daquri itself was tasty. Chips were kind of stale, salsa tasted like tomato sauce with no spices. Tamales were so bland, they tasted like plastic.

Salsa was bland, chips were less than average, 8.50 for white queso that tasted and looked like chemicals, never did harden at the table. Wife and daughter shared the chimichangas, one was supposed to be chicken, they both were beef. Our waitress never came back after dropping off the food so couldn't even say anything about it.
Everything we ordered was overshadowed on taste because it had the fake cheese smothering it, none of us ate more than half of our order. Obviously the locals like it because they seem to be busy but my guess is those people never had good mexican/American food before. Im writing this review the next morning and the food feels like it's still sitting there. Tables had thos weird stickiness to them where everything stuck as soon as it was set down. All in all just a off putting experience and consensus is none of us will never be back.

Horrible! Will not return. We are 30+ years old and were carded. No big deal. The server, had the audacity to say rudely “this does not look like you” after looking at the ID. Not offering any other ways to provide proof. So we left and took our business somewhere else and then proceeded to not ID tables next to us that were clearly younger.

Its a very small restaurant, its super cute inside but I have very mixed feelings about this place. The reviews is what got us to come in and eat, because we looove tacos , and this was not it, it's definitely basic food, the salsa was super fresh tasting though for the chips! I definitely liked that, the food was very bland, unfortunately, the ladies there were extremely nice though I have to say that ! The green sauce was way tooo watery and tasted like hot watery celery. I'd just try it if you like basic tacos, But food trucks in racine are more flavorful !

I rate Mexican restaurants all over the USA. This one is "decent enough for local eating." Mostly American style tex-mex. Quick and courteous service. Good tortilla chips. Salsa good but very mild (although they have hot sauce you can add). Food is delicious but also very mild, so you can spice your own. Good quality and amount for the price. I will visit again and regularly.

FAST! It was beyond delicious! I ordered from newer Lil' site. It's off that funky triangle on Calumet Drv, School, Harry's Diner in Sheb, WI (Boost mobile used to be nxt door b4 car drove thru wndw. Remember?) It's Safe now tho! There's a sm parking lot or easy st prkg. Two of the same meals ordered & we were equally, totally satisfied! Ordered a meal- 3 ground bf tacos on soft corn Tortillas & 1 w/flour tortillas (they dbl up corn Tortillas, love it cuz ... ur shell dsnt fall apart 😀! Includes a lil rice & beans (so good, a dash more of each would be perfecto BUT, the SIZE/AMT of meat, chz, etc totally makes up for it. Inexpensive!
GO, GO, GO u won't be disappointed! Yummm! Authentic Mexican Meal like my Mom made. Mmmm.

Just happened to discover this great place. We were the first to enter on a breezy and sunny Sunday.
Were warmly greeted by Danielle.
She was extremely friendly and accommodating.
Explained about the dishes, listened intently to our requests and took the experience to a different level.
The place itself was very small and cozy, allowing for good conversations.

The food itself was great with the right level of everything. The beans were well cooked, the rice had the right amount of flavour to it, the nachos were slightly salted and flavoured and the salsa made a great combo to start on the meal.
We didn't try any drinks, just the food.

The best Mexican food for miles around. I live in Racine, WI and been coming here for over 20 years and the food kept getting better over owner changes throughout the years. I tried Mexican restaurants in Racine, Milwaukee etc and nothing can compare to this amazing food.

This weekend we got the combo plate, chimy, encha and taco...love the shredded beef, chicken and pork. The rice and beans are so good too.
Now the amazing starter "Chips & Salsa" are the Best I've had anywhere.

They have all kinds of drinks and specials too. I'll continue to come here weekly or monthly as long as they don't change what there doing which is killer food A++++ Worth the trip!!!!!

As far as Mexican eating goes, it was mediocre. I was decently satisfied when I left, but nothing was absolutely outstanding. The staff were friendly enough, but as I sat down at a booth, they brought me a highchair and menu then immediately asked what I wanted to drink. I had no idea, so I made a couple guesses before settling on a soda. The girl leaves, comes back with a canned soda and cup and I'm still not actually properly sitting yet as I just got my son buckled in the high chair. I sat down and was immediately asked do I know what I want to eat. As I'm staring at the still closed menu sitting in the same spot it was placed, I told her I needed a minute. She left, I figured out what I wanted, waited... and waited some more... she came back took my order and then once the food was delivered never came back to check on us. After eating I sat for a bit, and waited for the check before finally giving up and walked to the counter. I still needed a box and such anyways, and had never been here before. So I thought maybe I pay up there. I walked up, and not one of the three women woorking acknowledged my existence.
Eventually one, who was taking an order that was called in said they would be right with me. After waiting for some time after that, I finally just went back to the table and sat back down. It took about another 5 minutes before a server came by with a to go box and the bill. I asked for a glass of Horchata and she added it, I paid and left.
As far as the food... My son's French fries were homemade, and actually cuts of potatoes, not bagged. Those were great! The chips tasted like special K corn flakes, but the salsa made up for it. It was delicious!! Beyond that. The rice tasted like chicken rice on the side, the enchiladas were alright, drowned in sauce but lacked the flavor I was hoping for, the beans were decent, but super runny and liquefied. It was a year today that we had adopted my son, and was a treat to go out since he likes chips and salsa, but the experience was not great. At the end, I had hoped that the horchata would be exquisite... It was chalky in flavor with a liquid paste consistency. It was not a good dining experience. And after all of the talking up locals had done with this place, I really thought I was in for a treat... It was not. I am not impressed and won't be back unless it is just for their fries and salsa... (they should seriously market those items!!)
I've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant... This was not it...

Haven't had the best experiences in the past but recently decided to give it another try. Have gone several times over the last couple months. Food and drinks have been fantastic! The Garlic Steak and Shrimp was very good, the portion was just a tad small for the price, considering that the rice and beans took up more than half the plate.
