Disclaimer, the food was great and we got seated right away. However, we came to visit as we are whiskey lovers and I ordered a neat pour of the wheated bourbon. It was okay, but when I went to pay we got a 5 dollar up charge (on the already 10 dollar order of whiskey) because it was a “neat pour”. Our waiter told us well after the fact that he has to add an extra 5 dollars for neat pours. I didn’t get any extra compared to the normal flight pours and it seemed like a big scam. Very disappointed with the lack of communication on that as it would have changed my order and has left a very sour tastes in my mouth. The waiter informed us he knew of the rule, but only waited until after we asked about the charge to make a comment about it. He told us he didn’t agree with it, but so graciously didn’t give us a heads up before hand.

Came here after hiking at Devil's Lake on a beautiful fall afternoon. My husband and I have been here previously to do the bourbon tasting and tour which was great. Today we enjoyed a late lunch on the beautiful patio with views of the Baraboo River. We were with my husband's siblings and spouses and all enjoyed our meals. Two in our family are very picky eaters and loved their food. We enjoyed the gin steamed mussels, miso pork belly tacos, jumbo lump crab cakes, ginger soy tuna salad, ribeye crostini and the heirloom tomato steak salad. We were too early to be able to order from the dinner menu but found plenty of options as you can see that were all delicious. Plus the bourbon flights were very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back the next time we are in this area. I only remembered to take a picture of two of our meals unfortunately, they were all plated beautifully.

The restaurant is fantastic. We've yet to have a dish we haven't enjoyed. We try to make it a point to stop in when we're traveling through the area. The spirits are also great. I'm a rye fan, and the 10-year rye is *chefs kiss* delicious. If you like good food or good drinks, Driftless Glenn is definitely worth a stop.

If I could leave a ten star review, I would! My favorite place to eat and drink in Baraboo! All of the staff are friendly, fun, and efficient!
Tonight, we stopped at the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. The downside: we didn’t want to leave! Amanda is fabulous. She’s fast, funny, and her drinks are to die for! Between Amanda, Heather, and Ian; we were served by the Driftless Glen dream team!
Destinee was our server this evening and she was incredible! The service was fast, the food was amazing, and our drinks were always full!

Had fun. Craig was awesome and very knowledgeable. We are kinda nerdy about learning things and he answered all of our questions. The tasting was great, showing us the difference between similar recipes and finishes. Only bummer was we went on the day of a big celebration of the opening of a 10 year old Rye, so everyone was scrambling to get ready for that, so no bottling or anything was happening. We would have stayed for it, but we had other plans later. Plus size it was a private tour for our wedding anniversary. 4 stars only because I felt like we were interrupting the setup. Not that anyone made us feel that way, but there was more of setting up them production going on.

We were camping at Devils Lake State Park and decided to visit Driftless Glen distillery. We had an excellent experience both visiting the shopping area as well as the delicious food in the restaurant. I enjoyed the shrimp and andouille sausage flatbread. I purchased two bottles of bourbon and then while shopping in one of my local liquor stores back home in the Chicagoland area I priced one of the bottles that I had recently purchased. The price at the distillery was almost $30 more than my liquor store. A bit disappointing however I must say Driftless Glen is a fantastic bourbon. I think the price per unit should be a bit cheaper than in the commercial market to entice more people to visit. My final thought is that Driftless Glen is an absolute gem of a business and location and I encourage everyone to make the trip.

Had a great anniversary dinner here with a table out on the deck overlooking the river. The food was surprisingly tasty for a distillery- sesame crusted tuna over pineapple fried rice and a filet with roasted garlic butter. It may be time for the Driftless Glen to just simply drift away and be gone from existence. Are experience At the Driftless Glen Distillery restaurant started on a monday around noon. Upon entering the restaurant, with our 2 young toddler children and my wife, we were not greeted with a smile by the host who was sitting in a chair on his phone in an almost completely empty restaurant. I had to tell the hostess a couple of jokes as he was seating us to try and lighten his mood, and even that wasn't enough to get him to crack a smile. I ordered the Jambalaya. However, the shrimp were raw and unedible. Also the level of spice in the Jambalaya was way, way, way, too low. Let's see, my son ordered the kids meal hamburger. The burger was served on a bun that was completely flat and mushed; It was easy to note that because my wife's burger was nice and fluffy and looked normal by comparison. The waiters didn't really come out to check on us after food was delivered. This was weird because there were no customers in the restaurant. So apparently, their conversations with each other were more important than our dining experience. Lastly, when we received the bill at the bottom of the check, there was a 3% plastic charge for using a card to pay. Well, luckily, we were in Wisconsin because if we were in our home state of Minnesota, that kind of upstage billing practice on the bill will soon be declared illegal by our state governor and legislators. Although parts of the experience were good, mainly the blueberry old-fashioned cocktail I had. The vast majority of our experience was overwhelmingly, underwhelming.
Given our experiences, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance to redeem itself. However, until some of our concerns are addressed, I will be leaving a one-star rating and recommending that people do not eat at this restaurant.

Excellent dining experience and atmosphere. Our server was very knowledgeable and hospitable. To start, we had warm dinner rolls with olive oil and vinegrette and the delicious crab cakes appetizer. I had an Espress-yo-self martini for my drink and the balsamic portobello entree for my meal. I loved every bite. Unfortunately, I was not able to save room for any dessert, so the next time I go back, I'll just have to order dessert first! This place is a bit pricey but it's very worthwhile for a special occasion.

Sitting on the patio, listening to the Baraboo River flow by, and enjoying one of the many drinks from Driftless Glen's menu is the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The Bloody Mary was just the right start and the Orange-Ya Glad Old Fashioned was a perfect sipping in the sun drink.The food was perfect from presentation to flavor. Our server was attentive, helpful with food choices, and funny. I didn't have room for dessert but I ate it anyway and have zero regrets. Our table shared the Bourbon Bread Pudding, the Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake, and the Peanut Butter Toffee Brownie, and they were all delicious! The tour was informative and entertaining. We really enjoyed the tour. The guide was informative and we got to see most of the process from production to barrel aging. It was also an opportunity to try a bunch of different spirits that I really have only tried mixed in cocktails previously.

Always wanted to visit this place as a connoisseur of bourbon 🥃 It didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere rallied that of any Kentucky bourbon place and the views of the rushing Baraboo River made our old fashion bourbon so much more tasteful. I have 2 different bottles of single barrel bourbon: 1 cask strength, the other just a little lower proof (barrels 4417 & 4547, respectively). Both are absolutely fantastic, especially for the price. Can't wait to try more, and hopefully visit the distillery!

Main issue is don't plan to have something like a Birthday party here where you would bring something like a cake. Someone in our group claimed that at one time management would allow bringing in a cake, but apparently not anymore. Can't blame the staff for enforcing the rules, but I can blame management for making a dumb rule. Banning our outside cake didn't make us buy your dessert, it only affects our desire to give you our money a second time.

This place is a gem in the middle of Baraboo, and an excellent choice for dinner after a strenuous Devil’s Lake hike! I had the pasta alla vodka and my partner had the beef short ribs - everything, including the drinks, was great. I’ve had trouble finding good pasta alla vodka outside of Chicago, so this was a very pleasant surprise! The service was also very good. Why 3 stars instead of 5? My mouth nearly dropped when the waitress handed me the card reader and it automatically asked for tips ranging from 20% up to 25%. Literally, the lowest preselected option was 20%. Considering the food and drinks are already pricey (especially for the area) and they add another 3% on top of those prices for CC purchases, this was just egregious. What a turnoff to end an otherwise perfect evening!

We had two different kinds of old fashioneds (a maple bacon one and a blackberry one). So yummy. The shrimp Flatbread was one of the best things I have ever eaten.

I've eaten here probably 50 times and the food, service, and drinks are all fantastic. Personally my favorites are the filet, gin steamed mussels, and high tide cocktail but the whole menu is good too I haven't had a bad meal at this place and I can be really picky. Make reservations on weekend evenings if you expect a table right away it can get pretty busy. The prices for what you get are fair I eat out alot and you will not find better food in this area it's worth it.

This place is closer to a 2.5 for me. I thought it was pretty underwhelming. Our table of six had the Deviled Eggs, Tuna Tartare, and Bacon Wrapped Dates for appetizers. Those were pretty solid all around. The issues we had were with the entrees. None of us liked them for various reasons although the worst was probably the Shrimp and Grits that had this weirdly sweet BBQ sauce on it that ruined the whole dish. It was awful. The rest of the entrees were undercooked and oversalted. We didn't bother with dessert. For cocktails, I had the Blackberry Old Fashioned. It was pretty good but the place is a distillery so...yeah.

All and all, we were pretty disappointed. Prices were high too. Service was fine. If we do go back, it will just be for appetizers. The entrees are not worth it at all.

Saturday 10/12/24 was my fourth visit to the distillery over the past seven years. Previous visits have been delightful. My enthusiasm for the place made my friends eager to try it on our weekend trip to Baraboo. We arrived just before 5pm. The restaurant and tasting room was packed. We were offered a table outside or we could wait until 7:30 for indoor seating. We opted for an outdoor table, which would have been great if there weren’t 20mph winds and temps in the 50s.

Servers were overwhelmed but tried their best. There seemed to be a disconnect between the bar and the restaurant since we waited 20 minutes to receive a second drink after ordering. Bus staff talked loudly next to and over diners and really shouldn’t assume that people don’t speak languages other than English. Host was a tad condescending. Perhaps some remediation and retraining of staff is warranted?

I completely understand that restaurants operate on thin margins and that food prices have increased dramatically since 2020. Regardless, prices were rather high given portion size and quality. I live in Chicago and visit New York City regularly. Having dined extensively in both cities I was shocked at the menu prices at Driftless Glen. Cocktails contained a heavy pour so that’s always a positive.

I’ll give Driftless Glen another try next time I’m in Baraboo, but it won’t be my first choice as it has been in years past.

I made the trip because I was already a fan of their bourbon and rye. We received great service in the restaurant, they had some terrific cocktails available, and I was able to get samples of some of their distillery exclusives and enjoy a flight. Overall a great experience, and I left with a cask-strength rye and a few souvenirs. Well worth the trip

Great place to go! Inside and outside seating has a great view. Ordered the elk sliders, tuna tartar both were fantastic. Drinks were orange ya glad old fashion and the berry mojito, also made perfectly! We had Onur as a server and he was very personable and professional. Wasn't pushing with special and had a good sense of humor. 100% will come again and would recommend as a first stop.

We were very excited to try their drinks and food again, as it had been a long time since we had been there. We had no wait and was seated right away, one of the workers brought us water, then we waited and waited. We had 2 appetizers picked out to order and even our entrees. A table of 8 was seated after us and was greeted and once they got their drinks and it had been 25 minutes we just left. :(

The food here is so good, it potentially rivals anything else within 100 miles. The wait staff was professional, personable, and attentive. The old fashioneds were smooth, the dishes were perfectly prepared, and their creme brule was the perfect end to it all. I highly recommend dinner at the Driftless Glen Distillery.

Krystal has been our bartender most Everytime we're here and her sense of urgency and care to a customer is almost extinct. .My husband and I keep coming back for that kind of service. Aside from service , it's one of the best places to eat and drink around Boo Town. Don't let the classy building sway you from spending good money here because it's worth every penny

Definitely a let down….I was so excited to come here as I do like their bourbon a lot that I buy at the grocery store. First off I will say the service was wonderful and very accommodating, so 5 star there. However, the drinks and food were very sub par. The food is beyond overpriced for what you get and then we were told there would be a $5 sharing fee that they would be implementing soon???? Like seriously!?? So I have to literally pay $5 extra to just “share” a burger when you don’t get anything extra or more food…beyond insane. Secondly, the drinks were super watered down. I ordered the Manhattan and it definitely tasted like half water and barely at alcohol at all. Next, the burger came out and it was definitely not medium like we ordered but wayyyy over well done. Super dry and very little to nothing on the burger other than lettuce as there was little sauce. And….another thing is they have no fries??? The choices of sides are a little weird…but the slaw was actually pretty decent. Lastly, there is a 3% charge for credit cards too…like how cheap can a place get! Super overpriced food, plate sharing fee and a credit card fee. So be prepared to spend annoying extra fees if you dine here. Won’t be returning :( very disappointed.

It's meh... I guess I'm just used to more flavor for my food. Cuz, honestly, not very flavorful. But my partner, as being a Wisconsinite, that it was really good for Wisconsin.

The drinks were very yummy. I had the Bourbon Bash. My partner had an NA version of the Beach, Please. Both were very good and smooth

The staff was very nice and polite. Fellow Clientele seemed nice, too. I'm not sure if it's a regular thing, but the music was like the 2010s range.

We had a wonderful visit. We were very impressed by the food; it was delicious! Our waitress was super nice. She took extra time to answer our questions about gin. I really enjoyed my drink, and my husband was happy with his flight to try several options. The building is also beautiful, located right on the river. Overall, we had a great visit!

The bacon habanero burger is one of the best that I’ve ever had…definitely in the top-5. The island chicken sandwich was exceptional. The spicy potato salad and the cauliflower mash were exceptionally good. We finished off with their amazing cheesecake!

It’s everything you want from a distillery experience!

Update: we came back for dinner and we were mildly disappointed. We had super high expectations that were not quite met…the appetizers, liquor and cocktails are always so good. We kind of felt that the entrees were overpriced for the quality/portions…not to say that they weren’t good.
