Arrived on a day they decided to "close early " due to the heat. We were there at 2:55 and wanted to close at 3. We're told to hurry and order food. Got our oder in and food was rushed out. It was ok - but as we ate the one kitchen guy left due to being 'held over' (presumably due to our food) and i worried that it was cooked throughout. Im sure on a normal day the experience may of been better but the general public has no way of knowing that a place just up and decided to close early and shouldn't be made to feel bad about it.

We were just passing through on our way home from Milwaukee, and as a vegetarian, this one grabbed my attention on google.
The Portobello Sandwich was probably the best I have ever had. The Hubby had a Smash Burger, which he also thought was very good. And the view was perfect.

Staff made my family and I uncomfortable. -Stood by the β€œplease wait to be seated” for at least 5mins or longer while staff walked past and didn’t acknowledge us. I had to walk up to the staff and ask to be seated whilst the entire restaurant customers stared at us the entire time we waited.
-Overcharged me and tried to argue with me. I let them keep the $11 tip difference even with the terrible service. Passive aggressively hitting me on the arm unnecessarily.
-Talked to me with sarcasm and condescending after the waitress was stood corrected for overcharging me.
-The food took a long time but honestly didn’t bother me that much. It just made it worse with the experience.

If you ain’t one of their regulars it appears they’ll treat you like an outsider.

I’ll say this the manager did sort out the order confusion. But after the disrespect from the beginning it wasn’t enough to compensate for the bad experience. Kudos to that particular manager

Nice setting (we sat outside). As with other reviews, service was terrible. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Server never stopped by to refill our drinks. Finally flagged server down and asked about our order. She returned 15 minutes later and said they lost our order. Finally got food and it was just sub par. (Chicken tenders looked and tasted terrible.) Owner really needs to step back and do some serious thinking; there is a lot of improvement is needed .

Incredibly expensive for such a small portion.. ordered $22 mac and cheese, it was $6 to add a small amount of chicken. We waited an hour to get our mac & cheese and fries, it was good but cold except the fries were very hot. Also ordered a $12 watermelon margarita, unaware to the upcharge to add watermelon, which was lacking flavor, very small and watery. Staff and environment were nice but very disappointed in my dining experience.

Had dinner here Friday evening. Last visit was 6 months prior. Outdoor seating is beautiful. This is the problem. First off we were informed after placing our order that chowder was sold out, at 5:30? We ordered a salad instead. Wrong salad was brought to us. My wife had the salmon and said it was good. I ordered the broiled cod. Came out almost 10 minutes after my wife's meal arrived and it was completely dried out. Our waitress spilled half the fries onto the floor and said nothing?? Looked like the fish had sat under a heat lamp for too long. Needed a knife to cut through it. A very weird and unorganized experience. Several tables left do to not being serviced in a reasonable time frame. Not sure if this is new ownership but a complete disaster. There are several other restaurants in the vicinity that are consistently 5 star.

My wife and I had a wonderful outdoor dinner at The Driftwood, a scenic little hideaway located on the south pier adjacent to the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan. The staff was very friendly, accommodating us to a nice outdoor table on the patio. The server was kind and attentive and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the Flat Iron Steak with the fries as well as the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and look forward to trying more items on the diverse menu. We really enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food and look forward to our next visit in the near future.

We really tried to give this place a fair chance. But it was extremely disappointing. There was obviously new waitstaff that didn't have a clue on much of anything. We watched other customers get the wrong bill, at least 2 other tables just got up and left as they waited so long and didn't even get their drinks. We waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant was less than half full. If the food would have been great, all of the other issues would have been easier to put up with. However, the food was as others have said in their reviews, "less than average."
To the manager here: good luck, it's a great location, but your staff needs alot more training.

We stopped in for dinner about a week ago with my parents. Got seated right away, due to there being only a couple tables with people at them. We ordered our drinks and I had ordered a brandy sour old fashioned, the server came back and asked what kind of whiskey I wanted which wasn't off to a good start. We waited for a while to get our drinks which in the mean time the server came back asking if we wanted more water, so my mom had to say we'd actually like our drinks that we ordered awhile ago. My dad's Wisconsin amber he had ordered was sour so he had to get something completely different and he also had ordered the lobster Mac but they were out of lobster( he still got charged full price even though he had to substitute). I had wanted the perch po boy which then the server came back and said they didn't have the stuff prepared to make that so if I still wanted that it would be a much longer wait. So I just ordered the fish and chips that my wife ordered as well. My parents food was alright. The fish and chips my wife and I ordered was ok at best. The fish came out luke-warm not really hot and fresh like you'd hope for. Overall, prettying pricey place for subpar stuff. Probably won't come here again.

We ate at driftwood on Sunday and boy was it packed. Yes there was a wait and yes the waitresses looked beyond frazzled but the food was good and worth the wait. My wife and I did feel sorry for the bartender and what appeared to be the manager. They both seemed to be putting out dumpster fires for the wait staff. Overall the food was good, they were honest about wait times and with the amount of staff compared to customers I feel they did a great job.

There are some recent reviews about poor service and overwhelmed staff not being fast enough. Unfortunately, this is a very busy weekend in Sheboygan due to a large soccer tournament and on Sundays here very few restaurants are even open. So, the restaurant was overwhelmed. I've eaten here plenty of times with friendly staff and great food. It was just a bad day for the restaurant as their kitchen was overwhelmed.

Food was average at best. Kids meal comes with chips or fries but the chips are spicy. Staff was complaining the whole time to each other and to every new party that walked in about a group that had reservations on the patio, telling people not to eat here to avoid them. They weren’t being disruptive, so that was really uncomfortable.

Our server was very friendly but unfortunately the restaurant in general is ran really poorly. Food took forever and came out cold. And by forever I mean 25+ minutes. Drink orders were ignored when the bartender had 4 total people at the bar. Ended up having to cancel our last drink order because we ordered it when our food came out and never received it by the time we asked for the check, I could see the server asking the bartender and she was rather rude and just rolled her eyes. I feel bad for the servers, they are trying their best and the bartender and chefs just aren’t holding up their end. Much better places to eat in the area.

Waited for almost 1 hour to get our food. When we ordered, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Server did not come to check on us while we waited or give us an update.

I had the burger it was good, but it is a double and not really a smash burger, more so regular patties. I also sampled the Perch Po Boy and the Reuben. The Reuben was good. The Perch almost tasted chemically and off. I couldn't really tell, but it tasted weird. Fries were average and the herb salad side did not have herbs or fennel.

Overall would not come here again. We left very annoyed with the slow service.

I'm not a big fan of giving poor reviews. I think everyone deserves multiple chances, but unfortunately at least they can see that this review is not due to bad food or bad service or bad atmosphere, but the fact that it's taken over an hour and a half and still waiting for food. They did admit that it was going to take a "while", unfortunately not how long. Things can happen, you can be short-staffed and trying your best and the staff did great with what they were dealing with. All smiles and professional. It's still unfortunate that in the location that it is it's not able to be better managed when they are short staffed.

We ordered the mac and cheese with chicken added, coconut shrimp, and cheese curds. The Mac and cheese was good but not worth the extremely high price. The shrimp did not seem fresh and the sauce it came with was more of a jelly as it seemed to have been sitting in the fridge for far too long. The coleslaw that came with the shrimp was also dry and seemed to be in the fridge for too long as well. The cheese curds were good but not worth the price again. And the ranch it came with was also not very fresh tasting.

Stopped in with our 8 year old grandson. Were greeted warmly and seated at the table of our choice. Our waitress was courteous and professional. Drinks were very good and the food was delicious. Annie's Tomato Basil soup was so good it nearly brought tears to her eyes. All three of us loved our meals and the attentive service. The chef came out to chat with us and was so grateful for our comments he went to the kitchen and brought two French Onion soups for us to enjoy at home. We will definitely return to the Driftwood!

Wonderful brunch spot! Cocktails and upscale menu, paired well with casual and close atmosphere. Best smooth working staff I'd ever seen. The host ran the place like a finely tuned engine, only stopping at his post to make another sweep, checking in, filling drinks, clearing tables, and the waitresses were wonderful, a step ahead and cool and collected. Then to back it up the bloody mary flavor was great (could use extra flare on the garnish to compliment the rest of your vibe!?) and the lobster roll on buttery brioche was excellent! Keep it up! New brunch spot!

Bloody Mary had no garnishes….food was all missing condiments and components….service was incredibly slow…& our bill had price discrepancies that didn’t match the menu. As we looked around we noticed many other customers having the same issues.

So incredibly disappointed, as it’s a beautiful location and has so much potential! Seems like they need to work a few things out and possibly have better management. Would not recommend, as there are so many other quality places in Sheboygan!

Stopped here for late lunch on an impromptu trip to Sheboygan. Restaurant wasn't terribly busy when we arrived.

Discovered they only do a limited menu on Sundays so we were a bit disappointed in that but not a deal-breaker. Menu had some interesting items so we ordered.

We waited 75 minutes for drinks and food. Two food items were wrong, one was missing entirely. Only saw server to take our order, bring food, then the bill. We didn't bring up the food issues as we were on a time crunch and could not wait any longer.

We noticed that 4 other tables got seated after us and their food and drinks came around 15 minutes after they ordered. We never got an explanation or apology why ours took so long.

The burgers were good, if a bit overcooked. Fries seasoned well, but soggy. The She-bennie and lobster were alright.

We'd be open to going back, but only if there weren't other options.

Took our mother here for her 85th birthday. Never been so we wanted to try it and finding brunch in Sheboygan is difficult in Summer. We arrived at our reservation time and we're seated outside on the river. It was a beautiful day so we were excited to enjoy birthday brunch. We were on of four tables in the restaurant at the time of seating.

We ordered drinks and my wife ordered the bottomless mimosa. We were disappointed that her and my mom's mimosa were served in plastic cups given that my beer bottle was glass. Bottomless implies you will get value but with the server only stopping at our table five times (once was to bring my wife's entree that was made wrong) it isn't worth the $15 price tag.

We ordered our food. My wife wanted the Eggs Benedict but thought it strange that it was served atop bratwurst patties. She asked for the patties on the side. The meal came with the English muffins on the side instead with the eggs and sauce on top of the brat patties. We asked for it to be corrected and they obliged. My mother's BLT was just what she wanted and she was happy with her sandwich. I ordered the breakfast burger. I ordered it medium and it came out well done and cold. The toasted bun was black and burned. I'm not sure how the cook didn't see that but oh well I ate the burger without the bun. Perhaps the side of hollandaise sauce that comes with the burger would help with the overcooked dry and hard burger patty. Mine came without it. I ordered the Shishito Hash for everyone to try. For a $7 side it must be substantial and good. It was a four inch round circle of cold hash browns with a sprinkle oof melted cheddar and 3 pieces of pepper. Not worth it.

When I say food was cold it was in the eighties on the patio so it wasn't the outdoor temperature.

Being residents of the riverfront area we hope this place makes some corrections. Perhaps it was just bad staff that day.

I went with my family and everything was awesome! Our server was awesome and they are in a great location. The channel is a very nice view if you are looking to sit outside, and the interior has nice decor. Our server was attentive and helpful even though they were very busy. The food was just a little bland for my taste and I felt it could use just a little bit of work. Overall if you are in the area, I highly recommend it! I will warn that if you sit outside that pets are allowed just in case you have an allergy.

It took quite a while to be acknowledged and even longer to get seated, we had what seemed like the manager come over as she was distractedly speaking on her cell phone to say we would be seated shortly. It took much longer for that to happen. They were not busy as more than half the tables were empty.
One seated, food took a while to arrive. I had the power breakfast bowl and it was bland and borderline disgusting - almost as if nothing was cooked properly. I could not get myself to finish the bowl, even after adding salt, pepper and hot sauce to try to make it palatable. Thankfully the others I came in with had decent meals (French toast, biscuit and gravy)and I was able to fill up on that. Overall, it was not a great experience and would choose other nearby restaurants over this.

First time here. Cute waterfront setting. Savannah was a great server! Attentive ( needed to know the menu a bit better however) Brussel sprout appetizer… pretty raw.. didn’t even try to cut with a knife that’s how raw they were. The so-called sauce was useless. $11 for 22/2 brussels sprouts is a little sad for me that didn’t have any flavor and were terribly undercooked. I understand that brussels sprouts have been on many menus, so expectations are a little bit high, but these were the worst . We ordered a turkey sandwich, tasteless, bun could have used a grilling, so soggy, and certainly not worth $15 for a sandwich that was more like half of a sandwich. Pastrami was also ordered. Again $16 for about the size of a half a sandwich was a little pitiful. Would not recommend and would never come back again again. $65 for lunch with a tip was a lesson well learned. You didn’t gain two new customers on this visit that’s for sure.

Great place for a restaurant but it is run very poorly. They have about 12 tables inside and a lot of outdoor seating but only take reservations for about 6 tables an hour. So everyone walks in only to get turned away. Staff are nice but this restaurant will not make it. Food is so-so. Hope the next owners operate it better.

The food was decent so kind of unfortunate I have to leave a not so good review but ...who charges a dollar for mayo?! Just wanted a side with my fries and they charged a dollar. Now, we all know it's not about the money, but the principal. We each ordered a side of fries with our burger. They were 3 bucks for fries. The waitress suggested we just order one fry because it was a big portion, we said yes. So why were we charged for two orders? We certainly only received one order. No garnishes aside from a lemon on the bloody Mary's, so just know you probably have to ask for a pickle or something and they'll probably charge for that too. I seen another comment saying they were charged for using a credit card. Makes sense. Because I remember being asked if we were paying with cash or card. Lucky for us we paid cash. All this nickeling and diming people is a complete turn off. Sorry, but won't be back.

I ordered the cioppino and there was very little fish, about two bites, two shrimp,
And extremely shredded crab. It was mostly just a potato and tomato soup. For $28 you would expect a little more fish. It was basically all baby/fingerling potatoes. So, it was extremely expensive given the lack of fish. The Bergers looked fine although they weren’t cooked to order. The lake/river atmosphere is nice. The service was slow (which can be good or bad depending on your preference) and it was a little challenging to get drink refills. Given some of the other places around I probably would skip this place. However, it was one of the few β€œnicer” places open on a Monday, so, we were desperate. The ice cream shop just down the way is amazing though so if you need a great place after dinner just head a couple shops down.

Picked this spot because of a review stating good vegetarian options. I’m not sure that’s accurate I think there’s only a handful of options. Mac & Cheese was ok. Mushroom flatbread was saved by the balsamic. Skip the mussels- beyond too salty. Waitress didn’t offer to replace the mussels with anything. It’s in a good location to the marina.

Service was very slow from being seated to having our order taken to drinks and food coming out. Food was very bland and not worth the price. I got the roasted turkey and half my sandwich didn't even have turkey and there was so little avacado you couldnt even taste it. My husband got the mahi mahi tacos and the fish was disgusting. No grill marks or anything it was just a grey green color. We also got a kids chicken tender meal which showed $10 online but in the restaurant kids meals are $12. We got one and a half chicken strips with a apple sauce and pathetic rice crispy. Not worth the price at all. Very disappointing and will never go back. Save your money and go someplace that gives you food worth the price.

A LAZY SUNDAY BRUNCH OVER THE WATER? COUNT ME IN!
Located on the Sheboygan river, across the road from the Blue Harbor Resort, Driftwood was a welcome sight after 15 hours of travel and Jackie, the lovely owner, had me seated and fed with efficiency.
I managed to stay awake long enough to enjoy my unusual yet fabulous Scallop Eggs Benedict. Not a combination I had ever considered, but it worked a treat and I'll be on the lookout for said combination again on my travels.
The service was friendly and quick with every table filled with happy brunchers and lunchers.

Located in the space that was previously Anglers Pub, this is a welcome new addition to the Sheboygan food scene. It wasn't too busy during our visit so we could lounge for a bit during brunch. We were there during the Labor day weekend. Despite being a busy holiday, there was barely any wait. Our group had 4 kids. They were happy with food from the kids menu. Visited on vacation. Kids ordered the corn dogs. Came with fries, apple sauce, and rice Krispy treat. My wife ordered the shrimp po'boy. She said it was delicious but should've came with one more shrimp. I had the seafood mac. It had lobster and crab. Not your typical "let's save $$ mac", this mac had a full lobster claw, some more lobster meat, and a full crab leg of meat. Very very good. My favorite seafood mac for sure!!! Great atmosphere. Mahi Tacos could have used a bit of richness, such as avocado, guacamole, cheese or sour cream, but it was definitely a healthy option. I had to eat it with a knife and fork because the corn tortillas fell apart. I chose a side salad which was excellent, with some unusual flavors like fresh fennel: it was a large portion for a side. My husband had the Caesar salad with steak on top. The steak was cooked properly but had no seasoning. Salad was good.

Lots of good reviews about the food. Can't comment on that as the drinks were bad and overpriced, so didn't even consider food. Stopped on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered a Bloody Mary and an Old Fashioned. Lousy cocktails, no muddling or fruit in the Old Fashioned, just some booze, a little "Old Fashioned Mix" and the soda. The Bloody was just as bad, vodka, tomato juice and a couple drops of hot sauce. $16.00 for these two drinks - what a joke. Bartender spent 90% of his time on the wrong side of the bar looking at his phone.

Overall, it was a great experience here! We came here for brunch over the weekend while we were up from Chicago visiting family. The patio overlooking the river was beautiful! And we loved the atmosphere. The food was really good although I will say the more "breakfast-y" options on the brunch menu were slim. They should probably add a few more dishes (carbonara pasta at 10 AM doesn't really sound appetizing). But overall, the food was really tasty and we enjoyed ourselves!

Writing this review two weeks after going here because I can't stop thinking about what a great time I had. The servers were very friendly and accommodating of our requests including helping me find a local beer to drink which I ended up really liking. The food was phenomenal as well and felt reasonably priced given the quality. The flatiron steak with herb frites and demiglace especially felt like a fresh take on a classic and I really enjoyed it. We also got the cheese curds with a poblano ranch and they were great as well, very tasty and not too heavy. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in Sheboygan!
