Attended a wedding at this venue, and it was gorgeous and clean! The views and the setup were on point. The food was really delicious, too! Did not stay on site.

Beautiful location that is super well maintained. I grew up in a tourist town so if I say something is pretty I mean it. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable and it was a wonderful experience

Friday buffet was big disappointment. Expensive but mediocre at best. Nothing hot, just luke warm. They had tables in the nice front of restaurant but put us in the back banquet room. So underwhelmed. 5 star prices, 2 star food.

We recently hosted my husbandβs surprise 40th birthday at the resort over Labor Day weekend with a group of 25+ people, and it could not have been more perfect! While we had a small hiccup with booking ahead of time, the resort went above and beyond to make it rightβand our accommodations actually ended up even better than we originally planned.
Our group ranged in age from 1 year old to 70, and there was truly something for everyone. The supper club was such a highlightβwe had a dance party to the one-man band on Friday night that brought back so much nostalgia. The pool was very well kept and became our gathering spot all weekend. On Saturday evening, the resort catered a wonderful birthday dinner and set up tables by the fire pit on the most beautiful nightβit made celebrating my husbandβs milestone birthday so easy and memorable.
We also rented a pontoon nearby and brought our fishing boat, we fished, tubed and enjoyed going in and out of the water all weekend long. Everyone in our group kept saying how amazing the experience was, and we all hope to make it an annual tradition.
Thank you to the owners and staff for such a special weekendβyou made our celebration unforgettable. This place is truly a hidden gem.

We ate at the supper club for the fish fry. Ordered the combo of both deep fried and broiled. Both were very good and so much food! I brought half my meal home. While we waited, we had (excellent) old fashions in the back bar and listened to the fabulous vocalist. The ambience is a great, nostalgic super club feel with a beautiful patio area if weather allows. Our new favorite spot in the Eagle River area.

After a long day of tournament fishing my team and I decided to stop over to Eagle Waters for their fish fry and an old fashion or two and were greeted by one of the owners who helped us get a great parking spot right smack dab in front. Pointed us to great bar service and made sure we had tremendous seating. The fish fry was top notch as always. Iβm glad to see that the service and the overall north woods feel has not changed. Thank You Everyone who welcomed us

We ate in the restaurant (didnβt stay at the resort) and the food and service were fantastic! The Chef even came out to our table outside and clarified a question I had regarding a dish. Our meals, including appetizers and dessert, were excellent. Great ambience too. Weβll definitely be back!

Those looking to have your wedding here-
Throughout the year planning process I heard my wife on countless late night phone calls with eagle waters answering the same basic questions over and over again due to their lack of organization as if they have literally never planned a wedding before. She continued to keep it together throughout all of the frustration but eventually broke down in tears upon our arrival to our wedding weekend as they basically hadnβt retained anything for both the night before event and wedding and had zero communication with each other. They claim to help with all set up for the wedding however we had so many friends and family that had to spend that special day setting up the venue due to their lack of organization and their famous line throughout the weekend βlack of staffβ despite this event being planned a year in advance. The staff drank throughout both events and did not meet majority of the most minor expectations that we had. They even went against requests we specifically made when It came to no shots during our wedding and charged our guests throughout our event despite our open tab and making it a point to them to not charge our guests. My wife and I had a hard time being present throughout this weekend due to the stress and anxiety they caused with their lack of being able to run our wedding events. The list is very long but I will sum it up in that Eagle Waters shows zero experience in events like this in our opinion and we were left very dissatisfied on the services we received and feel our wedding weekend is left tainted.

To any brides considering hosting your wedding at Eagle Waters β donβt.
While the venue itself is beautiful, the planning process and overall experience were an absolute nightmare and completely overshadowed what should have been the happiest weekend of my life.
From the beginning, communication was disorganized, inconsistent, and exhausting. I repeatedly had to answer the same questions over and over throughout the year-long planning process. Despite providing detailed information over and over again, nothing was documented or retained, and last-minute late-night calls became the norm β sometimes at 9:30 or 10:00 PM β often lasting over an hour.
Simple requests were met with resistance. Even during our final call days before the wedding, I was still being asked basic questions like the number of guests and food choices ?! β things that obviously had been provided and finalized MONTHS earlier.
When I arrived at the venue after getting our marriage license, I was thrilled to begin our wedding weekend β only to be immediately pulled into a meeting with the owner and two coordinators, who continued asking these same questions yet again- what food, how many people, what I wanted for this that and the other thing for both events- again things that were VERY CLEARLY provided and decided on months prior and even exhaustingly reiterated DAYS before. I was even told there might not be enough food or alcohol for our welcome party, which again, had been carefully planned and decided on again MULTIPLE times.
Despite giving them a comprehensive, written binder detailing every single aspect of our event, nothing was executed properly. The day before my welcome party upon my arrival to our wedding weekend I was in TEARS, completely defeated after my meeting with them as they had absolutely nothing figured out which set my vibe for the entire weekend. Even rehearsal night I was met with zero help and coordination even though they said they would - again just another thing that fell on me and added stress. I even had to rely on many friends and family to set up the venue wedding day because the Eagle Waters team β who told me I did not need a day-of coordinator β did not have anything organized.
The service throughout the weekend was shockingly unprofessional. I had to personally REMOVE A BARTENDER who was visibly INTOXICATED at BOTH night before and wedding day events. Multiple staff members, including coordinators, were drinking during my wedding. On top of that, they asked me countless questions on the day of instead of managing anything themselves.
Furthermore, I specifically stated that no guests were to be charged for drinks at my wedding along with no shots to be served as I was covering a full open bar. Yet I later found out guests were being charged for their cocktails during the reception along with being allowed shots and also being charged for those at an ABSURD amount (just using my guests to make extra money) Iβve reached out multiple times for clarification and a final itemized bill β and have been completely ignored., I simply handed over a check for the amount they gave me, with no formal receipt or breakdown of costs because I just wanted to be done. Their unprofessionalism continues by ignoring this request for an itemized bill and continues to shock me and leave me pretty suspicious of the way they run their business.
Eagle Waters may offer a stunning backdrop, but that is quite literally it when it comes to a wedding there. Behind the scenes, the planning and execution were chaotic, careless, and deeply unprofessional and unorganized. They caused me tremendous, avoidable stress and completely failed to deliver on the most basic expectations. I would never recommend this venue to another couple.

If youβre staying in Eagle River and looking for a nice spot to eat at, Eagle Waters is a great choice!
Food was fantastic, friendly service. Truly have not had a dining room experience like this since Pre Covid. The menu has the perfect assortment, and most things come with a Salad bar that uses actual Bacon Bits.
If youβve never been, would highly, highly recommend.

This review is for the restaurant, not the rooms (we have never stayed in the rooms).
I understand they have a new chef and the food certainly is greatly improved. We went for the Fatherβs Day brunch and everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the salad bar and the salmon. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was also great. We hope that they make Sunday brunch a weekly event.

First time I ever ate at the restaurant. It was fabulous. Had a Mediterranean fish and my dad had a regular fish fry..3 nice size pieces for 18.00. My dish was so large I had 3 meals of it. Really lovely dining area with a real fit place that they made sure was firing all the time.. plenty of staff for anything that you needed.. lovely bar area with couches and seats In Front of the fireplace..I love the place and can't wait to go back..only negative was my grasshopper after dinner I had sitting in the leather couch in the bar...it was WAY too watery. I think she put ice in it...when I asked about it she said she didn't, but I really should have given it back. Lousy grasshopper, but that will be rectified if she keeps making them like that! But really a lovely place in the northwoods to have dinner and a drink at the bar...I've been to many up there. This is tops!

Went for the new years dinner. Just. Plain. Awful!!!!!|Food was terrible. Ran out of various things. No filet, no Wellington. Ran out of dessert. |All the things we came for. Large party and spent $1800 as a group. Overcooked lobster. Undercooked duck. |Felt bad for the waitress. Waited over two hours for meal. |Over priced and disgusting quality. |Never offered any discount or price adjustment. Just βsorry your dinner was badβ from the staff.

This is the first time I've been to this Lodge and restaurant. We went for a Thanksgiving buffet which was lovely
The service in spite of the business was very good. Northwoods friendliness I love it
The food was good and then some not so good. The prime rib unfortunately was horrible rubbery no flavor
Turkey on the other hand was exceptional including some of the sides which I liked such as the spinach macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes
The dessert table looked phenomenal but was disappointing for everything was like pre-made package to type desserts
Unfortunately that was not impressive so I passed
My sister and my niece love the salad bar that was a bonus
All the staff was exceptional

I really love supper clubs and wanted to like this place, but the food was not great and the service was 'meh' at best. The $20 taco entree barely had any filling so I was still hungry afterwards and the chips and salsa it came with had gone bad and was rancid, which I unfortunately only discovered after eating it and then smelling it. π€’ The beef tip special was OK but nothing great - tasted like a simple home cooked crock pot beef smothered in sauce. It took 20 minutes to get an old fashioned, even though the bar wasn't busy. The waitress seemed irritated/frustrated/overwhelmed at every interaction, even though we were respectful and polite, but it made the experience awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, disappointed and not worth the $100 we spent.

This is a classic Up North resort that has been beautifully updated. All of the amenities that you would expect are included, tennis, sand volleyball, canoes, kayaks, hot tub, heated pool, amazing restaurant and more! The grounds are very well maintained and our cottage had a modern kitchen while maintaining its knotty pine charm!

For the past few years, our family has rented different cabins to accommodate our extended family of 14. This year we stayed at Cabin #16. The basement smelled of mildew and they had a box fan running along with a dehumidifier. Midway through our stay, the basement carpet was moderately soaked in that small area. I informed the front desk woman about that and some other concerns regarding the pool tiles falling off and lack of maintenance just keeping the pool clean. She was rude and dismissive. They sent maintenance to "fix" the water problem and told us it was normal. The next day, water was dripping from the basement ceiling and the canned lighting. The carpet was completely soaked, like squishing over our sandals soaked. Maintenance came and "vacuumed" the water up for about 3 hours. Five of us slept in the basement and a few of us dealt with nose bleeds and congestion daily while there. The upkeep and proper maintenance of the pool and cabin were disappointing. It appears that this was an ongoing issue, just patched up. This year's stay was definitely not worth the inconvenience or cost.

Had reservations for a large group for 5:30 and were told there are no reservations, only preferred seating and that we wouldnβt get food for βawhileβ because they were so busy. We asked what that meant and they said 1-1.5hrs. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience to the hostess and waitress through multiple encounters. The waitress made a comment about being slow while the hostess said they were so busy. Beautiful place and has so much potential but that doesnβt matter if you donβt have friendly staff.

We went here for a Bachelorette party supper. Horrible service. We had a reservation. They said it didn't matter, we were not "preferred" and it could take an hour or so before we'd get food. Ok... we then sat down. The waitress acted like we were an inconvenience. She was rude and not forthcoming with answers about the menu. We do not recommend.

Loved our stay in the 2 bedroom condo!
Pros:
- Rooms are clean and have stocked kitchens
- Lake views from our unit
- Large pool was a hit with the kids
- Plenty of boat docks
- Kayaks and canoes for free use
- Pickleball / tennis court on site
- Incredible sunsets
- Supper club on site
Cons:
- Only 1 firepit for the lodge units - which was always being used

Had a reservation for dinner on Friday night. Chose to order off of menu, not eat at the buffet. Ordered the combo fish dinner. It was COLD! They simply went to the buffet, took the fish, potato pancakes and twice backed potato and put it on our plate! The butter would not even melt on the twice backed potato! Horrible!

Came up to Eagle Waters for our annual Girls Weekend trip. This is our second time staying here, coming back from last year.
The suite we had was great, lots of room and love the location of the resort as itβs very close to town. My issues are with the restaurant/supper club. We made reservations for 6:30 pm Thursday 6/27. We arrived early so we could get drinks at the bar. We were seated to our table right around 6:30. Our waiter informed us that he was working his second shift and from Turkey. He took our order of appetizers and drink refill. We waited until 7:30 to receive our appetizers, after numerous times hearing from our waiter that it would β10 minutes, be out soon, finishing upβ.
After we got our appetizers, we decided to get our main meals packed to go instead. They said that would be alright. Some of our group left as we were wanting to swim before bed. When we were waiting for our waiter and food, we started noticing that a lot of tables that came before us also did not have their food. Around 8, waiters started bringing out food. After a table, which came after us, got their food, we stopped our waiter and asked him how much long for our food. He said he would go check. He came back and said that our groupβs order was at βthe back of the lineβ. Having worked in the restaurant business, that typically means that our order was lost in the kitchen or our waiter forgot to put our order in. When we heard this, we ended up cancelling our order, paid for our apps and left.
Our annual KickOff to Girls Weekend Dinner was a complete flop as we ate frozen pizzas instead of having a refined dinner at Eagle Water like we did last year.
We tried to speak with a manager or hostess. But none were found inside and we had wasted a good chunk of our time with no actual meal to eat in the end. This experience has put a very sour taste in our mouths and we are looking at other options for next yearβs trip.

This is a review for the restaurant. We live up here and I canβt speak for the hotel, but if itβs anything like the restaurant, itβs great. Weβve had a house up here for five years and I just moved here full-time. We had never been to Eagle Waters restaurant until a few weeks ago when our neighbors took us. Exceptional food, and service. Great outdoor space in the summer and beautiful Northwoods interior. They now take reservations, and I recommend making them. Like a lot of places up here, they are having a hard time finding staff to operate at full capacity. I am actually glad they take reservations, which is not common at supper clubs up here. Certainly beats lining up at 4 oβclock only to miss the first seating. I took my nephew last week and we had another great meal and great service. Check them out next time you are looking for an exceptional experience.

We've been coming to the brunch buffet here for years, and it's decent. We enjoy the beautiful place, friendly staff, and variety of food. It is rather pricey for okay food which I've usually been fine with until I went to change my daughter and realized there's no changing table! For the amount per plate you'd think they would have one in each bathroom. Not to mention it's supposed to be a family place? Would love to see this change as it was very disheartening.

Went for the fish fry and was very pleased. This year was a buffet format, since everywhereβs having trouble hiring enough staff. Nevertheless, the food was excellent and the service was quite good, even with each of the servers being clearly overworked.

The lodge rooms were nice. The view and atmosphere of the grounds amazing. Overall, this place is over rated. The webpage boasts βresort, spa, bakery, candy shopβ¦β. Upon check in we see that Covid is still the excuse for laying off most of the staff as there is no spa, bakery, candy storeβ¦βbecause of COVIDβ. To top that they ask guests to strip sheets, run dishes, and dump the trash upon check out. Itβs not like the rooms are priced such that the guest doing a little of the housekeeping offsets it. Instead, you pay what youβd pay for a condo at the dells and youβre doing the work of the housekeeping staff that was obviously let go during the pandemic.
The restaurant was disappointing. We paid $150 for two adults and three children to eat at the buffet. The food was lukewarm and not delicious. There is no made to order because they only have 1 chef.

The place itself is nice, its rustic, and reasonably clean. It WOULD have been 5/5
Except:
The rules for leaving the room are honestly INSANE given the price, given that it's a "resort", and given that covid was being used to justify it. You can't be a 5/5 resort and treat your guests like an AirBnB, it just doesn't work.
It's not that bagging my own linens and taking the trash out of the building is that hard, it's simply the principle, and blaming it on covid in 2023 is just lazy. The holiday inn down the street includes at least this level of service for $80 a night.

We had been staying at another place in Three Lakes for the last 13 years and decided to try something new due to the former resorts lack of upkeep and unwilling to provide a little later of a checkout. I'm so glad we did! We started Thursday night with a great meal at the restaurant and the rest of the weekend was spent in the cabin. We cooked and crafted and had everything we needed. The kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans were more than adequate. Plenty of room for us to craft and we even had a smart TV to watch movies while we worked. They also allowed us an hour later checkout so that we could get all our sewing machines and crafting supplies packed up. We will definitely be back next year!

This Resort has a wonderful historical and up north "feel", yet the Kee-Mi-Con condo we stayed in was very modern and comfortable. We enjoyed beautiful views of the lake, and the best meals of our time in Eagle River were at the on-site supper club. Vilas County trails are amazing - separate trails for hiking/snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, UTV/ATV's, and snowmobiling. We will definitely be returning for the winter sports season!

Absolutely loved our stay. The 'suites were very large, beautifully decprated, clean and spacious. Grounds were outstanding as was the swimming pool. No beach however, but piers available for your boat. Excellent on ground restaurant and bar.

We have visited Eagle Waters Resort 2 years in a row and have reservations for July 2023. Our group of 10 has been very satisfied. The pool is a big hit with our 8 year old. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. We love the swings to sit and relax after dinner. We only usually go to the restaurant once during the week but the food is great and the service was really good this past summer. I love the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. We never have a problem finding a boat slip. The availability of the rental|Equipment in never an issue and we enjoyed the swim mat several times. The teenagers in our family enjoy the basketball hoop. The only complaint I have is the kayaks are not in the best condition and most of them donβt have backs. We didnβt even bother to use them this past summer. Also the wifi is pretty spotty in the unit we have and we donβt get the best cell coverage up there but that is ok. You can go down by the lodge if you need to do something and it is much better. I highly recommend Eagle Waters Resort.

Pre-Covid, this was one of our most favorite places for food, and Northwoods atmosphere, to bring our guests. So, this past Friday we returned with a guest, early, for a Fish Fry...to be greeted at 5pm by a virtually empty restaurant, and patio area, with signs stating that if you didn't have reservations you wouldn't be seated (I didn't realize that anyone takes reservations for three people on Fridays!...and we were informed that they were taking no more reservations for that night). Well, we went in to make sure that this was correct, when the dining room had one table occupied. The formerly charming Northwoods decor was unabashedly stripped from the dining room...is this place under new ownership? We promptly got the "we don't want the cook to walk out" speech...HOWEVER, we could order a carryout from one of the many serving staff that were just standing around the Hostess Desk: Each fish fry a hefty $18. Sounds ok, if you can't get a table, right?
In under 5 min, the waitress was back with our "to go" bag! Amazing...but now for the catch...ok, we were charged $3.50 extra for the carry out boxes, but beyond that, we were also charged 20% gratuity!! For a server to deliver our order of 3 Fish Fries about 15 feet to the chef in the kitchen, and then the bag 15 feet back to us. This was not information included BEFORE we ordered, so we were quite dupped here...and our guest was awkwardly stuck with this gratuity, that she would have gladly paid, had there been table service. As it turned out at home, the fish was tasteless, with greasy batter, and the Cole Slaw was spoiled! Why not post the carry out option, with 20% gratuity, along with the reservation notice, so that you can choose to accept this, or go elsewhere? We will not be back. Buckshots has a fabulously tasty Fish Fry, and they don't have these two ridiculous charges.

If there was ever a place that should be in the picture on wikipedia by "Classic Northwoods Lake Resort", Eagle Waters is it.
The place is ideally located on the largest chain of freshwater lakes in the world and has beautiful grounds. Well outside of Eagle River at about a 20 minute drive, it's remote but accessible.
The onsite restaurant and bar offers fine fare and many of us locals come multiple times a year for meals as well as banquets and annual meetings. These folks always handle bookings smoothly and take excellent care of visitors. Can't recommend them enough!

We had a fabulous time; exactly the type of nostalgic family place we were looking for. Lodge room wasnβt fancy but was nice, clean, comfortable. One downside was that the restaurant (and other places in the town) had limited hours due to staff shortages - not their fault, just to be aware of. LOVED the pool area!

Accomodations are lovely but the check in receptionist was rude, I'll mannered, would rather spend time stating that nothing could be done to address a simple problem than say "I will see if I can help" and was obviously gleeful when telling other staff that "a man yelled at me on the phone today"
Because of her horrible customer 6, I will never return and will make sure the several hundred guests at the wedding celebration know my experience.

Fun place. No beach area as seemed advertised on their site, but a nice swimming pool to make up for it! Staff wasn't the friendliest, but I'm sure they are shorthanded and it's tough on everyone. They do their best to keep up - only suggest to be a bit friendlier and open to guests. Perfect distance away from the main part of Eagle River.

Do not let them talk you into getting the buffet. Cost twice what it should and everything was barely edible. Rubber fish, cold and dry chicken, mashed potatoes that could pass for grout. And sadly the food all could have been good if they understood how to manage a buffet service. I feel bad for the chefs who have to see their food get destroyed like that.
