We went for the fish fry as listed on their website, but the website is outdated. They no longer serve the beer battered cod on Fridays. Instead it's bluegill or perch. The server was very nice in explaining the menu options and we would have stayed to eat if they the cod was available. Very nice atmosphere.

We flew into Eagle River and stayed at The Comgort Inn. With no car we walked to several restaurants all closed on a Saturday night. It is early September. Delighted to find The white spruce! The interior is a cozy warm full log facility. Greeted immediately and felt so welcomed! The windows seat with a view. Of the Eagle River was a huge bonus! Our dinners were plentiful and warmed our bellies! Everything was perfect and priced reasonably! Top of our food eating experiences and walking distance from the Comfort Inn and airport!

They don't take reservations, which is a drawback. We arrived at 5pm on a Monday and only four tables in the whole place. Yet my husband and I were told that we couldn't have a table until the other 2 in our party of 4 had arrived. Seriously??? It's practically EMPTY! And, it's foolish because they COULD have sold us a drink and an appetizer while we waited FIVE MINUTES for they're arrival. Food was decent, other than the nearly cold and definitely canned baked beans served with ribs. $137 for 3 drinks, 1 appetizer as meal, walleye dinner, and 2 half slabs of ribs. Service was ok, not super friendly and VERY annoying at the end. A bus person kept stopping by to pick up inconsequential things (A wet nap wrapper? Then a lone knife? Next something else...) I thought they were trying to "give us a hint" to leave but it made no sense as there were still at least 5 free tables in the one room and the second room was EMPTY. I don't need someone's elbow in my face every 2 seconds just because we're finishing our drinks. Overall NOT a great experience.

Had dinner tonight. The fried blue gil, spaghetti and maple pork loin was outstanding. But the best part was the staff. Lisa was out server and she wad outstanding. We also had a visit from a staff person (blond, shoulder length, curling hair who we've never met before) her kindness and caring words will last with us a long time. Only wish we would have gotten her name. Service like this is what keeps us coming back which has been for many years. Thank you ladies!

This place is an absolute must-have in Eagle River! For our family night out we all decided this was our unanimous option!

The Cheese Curds were absolutely fantastic, we killed 3 plates with no issue (there were 9 of us). Most people got the pan fried Walleye, i would say it's a specialty of the restaurant and NOONE WAS DISAPPOINTED!!!

Our waitress forgot to bring out our salads but there was so much food no one even cared! Each dish came out perfectly hot and delicious.

When you're in the North Woods you absolute have to stop here! They've got a great ambiance and the food was fantastic, stop in and enjoy the best meal you'll have all week!!

I ordered the pan fried Walleye, which was just OK. The clam chowder and baked potato were good. Several others in the group got chicken and they all said it was overcooked and chewy. My friend got the loaded baked potato and the server didn’t tell her it cost more, nor did it say it on the menu. Overall, I felt it was pricey, the server “prickly,” and the food OK but not worth the price.

Classic Supper Club - which you don't see much of anymore! Eddie B is so sweet and cute, you might catch him if you're there around 5PM. Food and atmosphere is fantastic. Bar is wonderful. Staff is great, but they don't have much help on the off season so be prepared to wait. Worth it though! Love this place so much! Read the history in the foyer, it's all so interesting!

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Noted that menu items shown on the website are not on the menu in the restaurant. Menu is kind of limited and like everywhere else prices are high. I might have liked to try roast chicken dinner but not for $30. So I had a burger and it was excellent! Medium rare as requested. Lightly grilled bun and fresh toppings. My husband & I dined here on a Tuesday. The service was fast & efficient. The staff all worked together to insure that all tables received great service. I had the crab cake special. This was served with a mustard sauce. The sauce had a little zip, which made it perfect. Very good! My husband had jagerschnitzel. He said that he would definitely order it again. Great Friday Fish Fry. Order the beer batter cod which had a crispy coating over firm, light filets. Fries were hand cut potatoes, not greasy. Perfect with a cup of clam chowder. Not our first visit so we were excited to celebrate my birthday there. When we arrived, the horribly crabby (and so sloppily dressed and looked like she just rolled out of bed at 6pm) hostess was so unwelcoming that we almost went somewhere else. Our wonderful waitress pretty much made up for her. Jennifer was wonderful and the tenderloin and rib dinners were delicious! They were clearly understaffed, and the lazy hostess literally just stood there watching waitresses greet people, take orders, deliver food AND bus tables, when she could have assisted them! She was the only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating!

I really enjoy this place. I love the bar area. It looks out over the river. Very northwoodsey feel. Everyone is always friendly. Very nice place, too, and if you're on the water just head down river from Yellow Birch lake and use one of their convenient boat slips. If I could give this place no stars i would.. Called and made a reservation for 7:30 on the phone. Got there and host said they do not take reservations but said it would be about 30 minutes. Waited in the bar for over an hour and got seated just before 9. Had a good waitress which was the only shining point but ordered and waited over 45 minutes and got food that was not cooked all the way like pasta that was crunchy. Overheard another couple whose food was taking long and they got money off even though they ordered after us. They charged us full price for food that we barely ate packed up and will be throwing out in the trash right away. Good thing kwik trip was on the other side of the road to satisfy some of our groups hunger while the rest needed anti nausea pills from the food. Never go to this place, just terrible.

This was my husband and my first visit.
Sat down to a dirty, sticky table.
We ordered an old fashion which was all booze...nasty. Wondering where they learned how to make an old fashion?
We ordered the clam chowder soup instead of salad. The soup was outstanding.
Our dinner came fairly quick.
The 8 oz fillets were done to perfection. The potato was nothing more than an ice cream scoop portion of garlic mashed potatoes, the 10-15 baby carrots were undercooked and clearly old. The dinner roll was nothing more than a plain roll like you'd buy at the grocery store.
$108.00 later, not including the 18% tip and let's just say we won't be back.
Next time we'll head 20-25 miles further to Pub n Prime or Blink Bonnies..

The hostess is the rudest person we have ever encountered in our years of traveling here. If you are an out of towner here you will be treated like it! Went to White Spruce for lunch today, just didn't have the WOW factor as it usually does. The initial turn off is when we walked in and asked if we could eat in the bar and got a nasty unpleasant loud "NO" from some young guy that I assume believes he's the manager. Eddie was sitting at the bar and never said a word, I was surprised. I actually asked a second time hoping Eddie would say something, but he didn't and we got a second "NO", one word reply. A group of us Asian Ladies that got past the front door were told (& the others barely got through the front door) that they couldn't serve us UNLESS we wanted to work in the kitchen for our food!! Went Friday night by boat the corner of the left last dock is very loose and could be a hazard if it let's loose it was 7:30 which is late. The waitress was very pleasant and fatigued or overwhelmed .weasked how long of a wait she said 1.0 there was a family waiting .but she said the kitchen closes at 9 and if you get a table the kitchen is done no matter at 9 because of lack of staffing understandable. She said she’s worked there for many years, and in a place where there are many supper club type restaurants, I think that speaks highly of this place to be able to retain such an awesome server. Food, drinks and views were excellent, too!!! The food came out so fast despite the restaurant being on a wait. We ordered the Walleye and prime rib special as well as Scarlett’s recommendation - duck wontons. And the house honey butter went so well with the fresh rolls. Will definitely be back if ever in area again.

1st visit to Eddie B's White Spruce Inn in Eagle River on Yellow Birch. Dined on the deck overlooking the water, pleasant Northern Wisconsin day. Jan was our server, she was excellent. Tried the Fish Fry, 3 piece cod, lightly breaded - I had the fries, she had the mashed. Everything was delicious, we'll definitely be back.

If I could do ZERO star I would the ribs are horrible sauce if horrible way to sweet and the meatloaf 🤮 way to much pepper and burnt and then the chefs blame it on the customer don’t come here it’s trash

Good solid fish fry. Really good Old Fashioneds. I think like most places up here, a little bit of a tough time finding staff, but the ones they have found are great, and really working their tails off to serve us!
