Great supper club atmosphere, service was friendly and attentive. We did the 3 steak trio and wagyu was excellent. Unfortunately the rest of my party thought the NY strip and tenderloin were flavorless, no seasoning. We were told by friends and family to get the lobster bisque but it was maybe a teaspoon of minced lobster with luke warm bisque.
Chocolate martinis were watered down and not good at all compared to other places. We're glad we tried a new place but not worth the price / hype as there's much better steaks elsewhere & martinis.

I hadn't been here for at least 20yrs. The last time I visited, it was with a friend who used to work here and absolutely raved about it. I think what really stands out is their service. We ordered ribeye, halibut and filet. All were well prepared. The dessert sampler was delicious. I especially liked their creme rules which I thought had a unique flavor.

There aren’t many “old-fashioned” classy restaurants like EM’s anymore. We’ve been eating here for decades on special occasions as the service is exceptional. (Note: it’s not really a good atmosphere for kids). It’s a bit pricey and suggest you inquire costs of specials before ordering if you are on a budget. However, we always get the same dishes so know ahead of time of the meal investment. Two of them shown are the griddled Brie and the seafood tower.

My brother, sister in law and my Dearest have been having special meals at Eddie Martini's for years, and this is the first time that I have truly been disappointed in the main course of my meal. I ordered the New York Strip - medium rare - and what showed up in front of me looked like a thick round steak - about three quarters of an inch in thickness (if that). I have never had a New York Strip at Eddie's that "un-thick" in my life. I did not voice my opinion at that point, as I was enjoying my cocktail (Brandy Old Fashioned with sweet), but I was surely disappointed in the size of my "steak." My sweetie told me when we got home that she saw my face and knew I was disappointed when the "steak" was placed in front of me. Aside from the size (a New York Strip should be at least 1 and a half to two inches thick - this was, at best 3/4 of an inch. The taste was barely passable, as it was "stringy'" - totally unacceptable. My brother also ordered the same, and he ate it all, not saying anything to us (which is what I did, but I could not eat the whole thing), I ate half and brought the remains home with me. It's in the refrigerator now as I am trying to decide whether to eat it or swallow the $59 and toss it. Guess I could "chop it up and put in the salad I was going to have tonight. DECISIONS! My Dearest had the Shrimp Cocktail Supreme as an appetizer ($18) with three fairly good sized shrimp spread out on a triangular plate - guess it was supposed to look bigger with that. She told me it tasted alright, but the shrimp seemed to be dry. Her Duck was alright, but she felt deceived because the potatoes made the duck look more than it was. In all our other visits I mentally gave Eddie Martini's a solid "5," but in all honesty I couldn't even give them a "4" last night, thus my "3" rating. The service was excellent, the drink was great, the atmosphere was, as always, what I wanted. The food was simply not up to Eddie Martini's standard. We are going to have to think three or four times before returning - perhaps we could hit McDonald's - at least we would know what to expect. (I'm joking about McDonald's! If our main courses were better we would not have given Eddie Martini's the "3," which they richly deserved last night. Now we know, that in today's world, restaurants have a difficult time with prices, which may lead to smaller portions, but this writer would have no problem paying additional monies to have the same quality as enjoyed in the past.

Very disappointing dining experience. The food was fabulous but service was not. One entree had a hair in it! The server seemed disinterested to say the least. We had to stop someone and ask for menus after sitting several minutes with no attention or even acknowledgement. After having menus for 15 minutes and not being able to get our server's attention we were able to stop another server and asked her to let our server know we were ready to order. After finally being able to order the timing for the meal was fine. One person in our party didn't get the dessert that they ordered. By that time we had given up on service and just let it go. I am very sympathetic and understanding when servers are busy or overworked and I can guarantee you that was NOT the situation with our server. Extremely disappointing, when you spend a lot of money for a good dinner it can certainly be ruined by such poor service. Im sorry to say there are many better options and Eddie Martini's your server also did your restaurant a disservice tonight.

Delicious steaks and fish dishes in a lively spot filled with locals and groups. Recommended by a client and we had a group of 8 which worked well. Very good cocktails before dinner and a good wine selection. Varied side choices such as garlic mashed potatoes, paired well with the meals. Everyone enjoyed their cuts of meat. The ahi tuna was a nice cut, but arrived cold throughout. It was seared and still tasted good. Very good service. It's a good place for groups.

Have not been here for quite awhile , so I was surprised when my husband started driving east on Watertown plank road! Thought we were going to another restaurant, but he had other plans!! My first visit to Eddie Martini’s was truly a night to remember! From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel welcomed and valued. The bartenders were friendly and skilled, and the host was incredibly kind and accommodating. Wow! I discovered Eddie Martinis in passing and had to stop in. The second you walk in, you feel like you’re taken back in time. It’s small and intimate, but the food is the best part. I started with the flavorful lobster bisque and had decent chunks of lobster. For entrees, I got the seafood pasta, which was phenomenal. The pasta was perfectly cooked; if I’m not mistaken, I believe it was homemade. The sauce was creamy and delicious. And the amount of seafood was top tier. Every bite was better than the last. We got their three NY Strip special for the table: dry-aged, grass-fed, and wagyu strips. All amazing. For sides, I got to try the creamed corn, one of my favorite steakhouse sides. This was amazing too, as you can tell in the picture, most of it was gone before I got my helping. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience, and the staff was terrific too. Our waitress, June, was excellent and so helpful.

So my fiancé and I went there on May 13 for my birthday had drinks and had appetizers and dinner. Somebody stole my purse right from the back of my chair.!! Did not realize get it first I thought my fiancé grabbed my purse like He has in the past walked out to the car and went home realized I did not have it call the restaurant they said no nobody report anything. Nobody turned anything. Nothing called the next morning at noon. Same answer did not offer to look at videotapes or anything.! Food was good, service was okay- overall with price point it wasn’t the best to my expectations but still a decent place for drinks and a nice steak.

My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday evening for date night- he made reservations for 8pm the week before with no issues. We arrived to Eddie Martini’s at around 7:50 and we were told that our table will take a few minutes to be prepared, which I understood since we were there early for our 8pm reservation. We weren’t seated until 8:15, which was a very curious time for us to wait for a table we already had reserved ahead of time.

The service was alright- the servers and hosts themselves were very kind and knowledgeable but in all it was a slow service, I’m guessing because of serving other tables. Still- we were seated at 8:15 only to then have left by 10:15, we were there for two hours which when you’re sitting there is a long time to have a dinner. Although two hours may seem perfectly fine, I will say it took a WHILE for us to be seen after seated for drinks and then our orders, in total it was a slllooowww service.

In terms of the food- overall delicious! I had the specialty item Australian Wagyu and my boyfriend had the veal and we both really liked the food, atleast!

Great relaxing time, date with my wife for Valentines.
The Beef Tenderloin was on the grizzly side, which was totally surprising since its at the top of the menu. This was the case for both of us. My wife said that's why she concentrated on her lobster.
Other then that everyone and everything was wonderful.

My husband and I came here for his birthday. It was our first time dining here. We are a younger couple who appreciate good food and excellent service, and we were blown away.

First off, we were greeted at the host stand by an incredibly friendly gentleman. He took and checked my jacket and escorted us to our seats. We had a wonderful and patient waitstaff who never rushed us and made us feel welcome.

There are so many excellent options on the menu, but once we heard the specials we knew we’d have to try the New York Strip trio. Wet and dry aged, alongside a beautiful A5 wagyu. The presentation alone was impressive.

The drinks were incredible and honestly very affordable. Shockingly enough the entree prices were also very competitively priced.

We had an amazing night, and will definitely be returning with some friends or family in tow!

I have been lucky enough to dine at Eddie's 2x in the last couple of weeks, once for my Dad's birthday, and once on a casual date night with my wife. Obviously the food, drinks, and atmosphere are top notch, but the service is unparalleled. Charming, entertaining, knowledgeable, and they don't forget the details. Food, different story.

I ordered a burrata salad. Overvalued. Tomato, burrata, and some balsamic glaze. Meh? Maybe it’s me — I elevated my expectations a bit.

Main: 45-day aged ribeye with a baked potato.

The ribeye was drenched in a buttery sauce (there’s such a thing as too much butter), which drowned out the taste of the beef. Disappointing because I understood this was a good place for steaks… hard to taste the meat under all the butter.

The baked potato tasted extremely salty — as if someone soaked the potato in sea water and then baked it. Hard to enjoy.

I know this place is an icon in Milwaukee. My parents love it and I will not invalidate their experience or the experience of anyone who loves Eddie’s. “Continue to love it” I say.

Personally, the only reason Eddie’s can charge as much as they do is because of the service because the food quality is (for me) massively overvalued.

If you want to spend $400 on a steak dinner for four and the food preparation is your priority, consider other options.

If you want fabulous service, a desire to enjoy a Milwaukee icon, and a nice ambiance — try it out. You might enjoy it.

High-end American food, impeccable service, and a beautiful venue all lead to one of the best dining experiences in Milwaukee. Both seafood and steak were great. The macadamia crusted Halibut was firm and tender. Cooked to perfection with white asparagus and risotto. Ordered the special steak trio which included a 7oz sample of new york strip, the 45 day dry aged ribeye, and the fantastic A5 Wagyu. All three were excellent but the star was of coarse the melt in your mouth Japanese wagyu. Dessert was as good as it gets and not to be missed as well.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible experience. I made a reservation 5 days in advance for my wife’s birthday. We showed up for our reservation and they told us they did not have it in the book. I can understand that mistakes happen but the real problem was how rude the manager was. As soon as he came out he was very aggressive, rude, and insulting. He shouted at us that they did not have a table for us because we were not in the book. I showed him my call history that showed I had called to make a reservation 5 days prior. He said "I’ve never heard your name,” too bad you are not in the book. You would think they would have apologized and offered us a seat at the bar while we waited, or a reservation for the following weekend, something. Instead he caused a scene and shouted at me. Most insulting experience I’ve had at any restaurant in my entire life. I will never eat here again.

Great menu, meals met our expectations, and then some. Our waitress was a delightful and highly knowledgeable person named Mara. She was outstanding. Her suggestions were right on, and I enjoyed her amazing, fun personality.
I would highly recommend eddie martini's for an exceptional and wonderful upscale dining experience.
Anyone who is fortunate enough to have Mara for their server will surely have a great time and an awesome meal.

We haven't been to Eddie Martini's in years. We got one of their last reservations on a Saturday to celebrate my mom's birthday. We started with the Stewed Escargot and Grilled Brie. Both were delicious. Everyone's dinner was amazing. I had the Pomegranate Miso- Glazed Salmon, and it was really good. Then it was time for dessert. The birthday dessert is a Chocolate Flourless Cake with Fresh Whipped Cream. So yummy. We also had Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. But the best dessert hands down was their Bread Pudding with Homemade Cinnamon Ice Cream. Unbelievable! Our servers were Sara and Hannah, and they were both excellent!

Service is beyond description. The host he was very charming and remembered the reason we were dining (birthday) and congratulated right away and was so accommodating to make our visit so special. That was just the half. The meal we ordered was wagyu steak medium. PERFECTLY done. Melted like butter. Another we ordered was 45-day dry aged strip medium. Unfortunately it was done too well which they immediately corrected. The whole experience was platinum! The environment I rated as a 4 because the tables were too close together in the Club dining area such that you had to be very careful getting in and out of your seat. Otherwise, the experience and the service of the staff was beyond expectations!

Food was nothing to rave about. Crab Cakes were boring and unfortunately my steak had to be sent back. Not under or overcooked just a bad piece of meat. Not up to the usual high standards this time. To be fair the steak was removed from the bill which was extremely generous and much appreciated. Will try again for sure.

It was magical. We went for our anniversary and it was everything we could have dreamed. Extremely professional and personable staff. Light bread before the meal was warm and delectable. Even the salad was unique and great.

The meal was possibly the most satisfying jewel ever. I had the wagyu filet. The crust from the sear, the tenderness, the smell, and the flavor was perfect.
My wife had the duck which was cooked perfectly and extremely tender and flavorful. The potatoes served with it were fantastic.
We were also served a desert medley which ended the meal perfectly. Creme Brulee, spiced cake, and bread pudding with house made cinnamon ice cream. There aren't enough adjectives to capture the delight.

It was perfect. Wayne Bartz was a fantastic host and is truly gifted at his profession. He made our experience memorable.

Crab cakes and burghandy soup were awesome.

Steaks (10oz filet and NY) were okay, but nothing to oooh and aahh about. Meh.

Creme brulee was awesome.

Atmosphere included a table of five. They were boisterously loud and dropped f-bombs as if they hot potatoes on a regular basis.

It was a date night for us. Regardless, the staff did not curtail the obnoxiousness.

Our first experience at Eddie's several years back made us anxious to return. After this visit though, we'll not return.

We came for our anniversary and were met with the strangest dining experience. I ordered a Manhattan and was given a glass that was half vermouth and half of a cheap bourbon. I found this odd because I usually have a Manhattan that just had a splash of sweet vermouth. When I told the bartender that I did not like the drink I was met with apprehension. Then, we ordered the lobster bisque and it tasted like burnt nuts. The steak was flavorless and the sauce tasted burnt just like the bisque. I paid $177 for a meal that tasted like burnt mess. The manager was made aware of my experience and I was still asked to pay the full amount for such a bad anniversary dinner. To make matters worse, the manager and the wait staff were talking about me in their little nook by the bar. It didn’t help that they would make eye contact with me as they spoke poorly of me 😔

My first time at Eddie Martini’s and I could not have had a better meal. Started with hot spinach salad which was amazing. It could have been a meal all on its own. Followed up with the Roasted duck. My wife had the most succulent petite filet.
The service was impeccable. The drinks were great. All in all this was a five star meal and I can’t wait to go back again.

My husband and I, decided to visit for the first time to celebrate our Anniversary. The steak was ok, the lobster mac was horrible and dry and something that I would not order again.the oysters were way to small to sell.. however our waitress was great. My husband informed the staff twice that it was our Anniversary yet they failed to acknowledge it. After I mentioned it, the Waitress Obliged and brought us cake... So the next day my husband saw that we were charged twice. After notifying management they said that we were NOT and did nothing to fix the problems lol.... This place is a must go if in suburban Milwaukee or at the medical center. Had probably the second best steak (Australian Wagyu) I've ever had, and best in 15 years. Service was excellent too. Be prepared to park down the adjacent side street, this place and the parking lot fill up quick.

My family was lucky enough to secure table 21 for a milestone birthday celebration, and the entire experience was tippy-top notch! All of the staff was professional yet welcoming and friendly. The food was prepared perfectly and tasted exceptionally delicious, including the flavorful Baked Burgundy Onion Soup (something I've never had anywhere else), ginormous super-fresh shrimp in the shrimp cocktail, and melt-in-your mouth steak (ate small leftover of NY strip with my fingers like a cold chunky bar, it was still so tender and delicious!). The table service was attentive yet non-intrusive (so many different utensils!). Thank you thank you Eddie Martini's, for provided everything I hoped for in a special occasion meal for our large group! The 80th birthday-girl was thrilled, and I can't wait to return!!

The brussel sprouts with slab bacon were RAW and so hard, they were inedible! I also counted only 6 tiny pieces of slab bacon, which was the only decent thing about this dish. Maybe try steaming the sprouts before you glaze them!

The veal scallopini was a huge disappointment as well. I was served three small SOGGY pieces of veal cutlets atop a mound of instant risotto. The cutlets were NOT panko crusted and there was no citrusy cognac sauce whatsoever! The only decent part of my dinner was the negroni cocktail.

When I am spending my hard-earned money, you only get one chance to impress me. Eddie Martini's did not live up to the hype. I will spend my money elsewhere!

This place was horrible. I was in town for work and wanted to eat at a pretty nice place. The food was very blan and had no flavor, my two co workers that were with me also felt the same. I live in Houston and am use to much more flavorful food. I orded the miso salmon and didn't even finish it, I had three bites and that was it. I also ordered the lobster mac and cheese, the mac and cheese barely had lobster in it and tasted like someone boiled noodles and just put it on a plate to serve, I didn't finish this either. The best thing i ate was the bread and butter... Really sad, I left the establishment hungry. I should of followed my first mind and went to Red Lobster, at least I could of gotten some well seasond food and i wouldn't of paid $350.00 for blan food. Save your money folks and go elsewhere. This place is not worth it. They should come on down to Houston and learn how to cook.
