My husband and I have been here three times because the food is good. Each time we have been chastised by the same bartender, I believe his name is Glen. First time, it was quirky and fine, we were new. Second time, it was fine, the food was good. Third time, he was ridiculously rude and unpleasant. Unnecessarily mean and just so rude. I love a dive bar, but good grief, we will not be going back- it is not worth dealing with that bartender. Please rename the bar “Bartender hates himself, but hates you more.”

The first time we came, it was during the week and there was barely anyone, so it was great, which prompted my fiancé and I to come back. When we tried to order tonight, upon ordering, we realized there were 2 different menus. The bartender told us ours was wrong and traded menus. When we went back to get our next beer as our food has t come, he told us our menu was wrong again. Once again we had to change our beer choices. While waiting, the table next to us became frustrated and asked where their food was. The bartender said it was taking over an hour for orders which he had not told them or my table. At that point, we had been there for over an hour, so I knew they had been waiting longer. Our food came about an hour and a half later (keep in mind this is bar food). Considering you have to go up and order your own food, I’d expect service to be better. Additionally, instead of turning people away that they were unable to keep up with demands for, they moved people from tables or made them move around the bar to fit more people that they weren’t even fit to serve.

Editing to add that my fiancé and I also got food poisoning. I originally rated the food 4 stars, but it definitely wasn’t worth spending the entire day in the bathroom.

Been going here for years because they had a good beer selection. The main issue is one of the main owners Glenn is just rude. Other people provide good service, but he ignores me and my wife. I've been in the hospitality business and i tip well and I'm respectful. He is terrible. I've made the the decision to never return even though it is close to where I live.

Im a tourist in from out of town. I believe I had 3-4 small interactions with possibly the owner. I asked a few questions, had a shot and 3 beers. I wouldn’t say the owner was rude, but he didn’t offer any help or advice when asked. He pointed to a beer list which was old and not accurate, and didn’t seem to care if I enjoyed the experience or not. As a vodka drinker, I don’t know much about beers, yet like to try/sample tap beer from different areas. He just didn’t offer help or seem friendly at all, hopefully he just had an off nite. As a Digital Media Consultant I know how powerful reviews are. I live close to this establishment and every time I’ve been there to grab some food, Glen the bartender laughs and snickers in a corner like a little school girl with his regulars if someone new comes in and he doesn’t even remotely try and take my order. I’ve seen it with other male customers as well.

This evening when I walked in and sat down with no service forever and a very empty bar; after watching him hang with his boys and I sat there patiently waiting, 3 women and a gentleman walked in, take a guess what happened. Glen walked right by me and straight to the ladies taking about how big his hands are and what that represents. SMH.

If you want a good burger and great service in Sun Prairie I highly recommend the Pit Stop. The staff is amazing, attentive, and even if you’re a new face, they treat you as if you’re a regular.

If you want a profitable establishment that people rate 5 stars, contact me because Eddie’s is a sinking ship with that cat behind the bar. It’s too bad because it’s a nice space.

If you are a fan of "rude" themed service, this is your spot. I walked up to the bar near where the bartender was standing and was chastised for not being in the right spot. "See the sign?!" He said and pointed at. The. Ceiling.

No, I did not see the sign hanging from the ceiling. But, having been directed, I made my way to the sign. The thing is, the sign is right above the waitress station. I have had it drilled into me by many hard working wait staff that one NEVER stands there.

It was weird. I tried to instruct others in my group about the expected protocol and they just started at me, not quite believing, until they were also roughly directed to the proper spot.

Some might find this eccentricity charming. I just wanted to have a beer and chat with some friends.

Another quirk, the tap list is only available at the Order Here spot. If you try to look at the tap heads while waiting for someone else to order instead of reading the list, you'll get more curt instructions. Not wanting to cause a back up at the Order Here spot so that I could take in the entire list, I asked the bartender what his favorite thing on tap was and he said it's too hot for beer.

I wish I made this up. It's pretty amusing in the third person.

Not a bad little place in SP. Had Friday fish, and because it was deep fried it wasn't really much different than any other Friday fish fry. Nothing special, but, also not bad. The fish did taste a bit greasy/oily....not sure if the fish and fries are being cooked in the same oil or not...but there wad a suspiciously similar flavor.

The bartender was nice, efficient and genuinely seemed like she enjoys people and her job!

Gets busy around 4-5 on a Friday, but then again-its Friday 😁 in WI, right?

I have been coming here for the last 13 years and the main bartender is just plain rude. He needs an attitude adjustment to be in the industry he is in. I am not the only one that feels this way. After last night, I will never return. He is beyond rude. He will only serve you in this weird spot at the bar like people have to get in line like we are at a fast food restaurant or something. One star review for credit card fees. Credit card fees are unfair and predatory. Accepting credit cards is a necessary part of a successful business and any costs should be built into the service price. Small businesses lose with credit card fees.

Also white male bartender seemed very rude. I observed him get frustrated with a customer using the credit card machine so he snatched the credit card and the machine out of her hands tapped the card himself and then threw the card back at her. Yikes.

I connected with her tonight 7/21/21.
I had Brian as my bartender last night at approximately 11 pm. I was disrespectfully and he clearly did not want to be there working and made my visit miserable. This is the third time I have went out in Sun Prairie since I relocated back in February. I used to love this place but if they will continue to have bartenders that are rude and obviously do not like people I will not continue to ever go to this establishment.
Dan please reevaluate your staff and make sure that you are hiring people that enjoy working with the public. I’m saddened by this experience because Eddie Alehouse was one of my favorite places back in the day.

Poor customer service. No hostess to inform us regarding available seating. Had to flag down the bartender, only to be told we had an option to pickup food and eat outside since no tables were available.
