We stopped in for the Friday fish. We sat down and were given water and menus. We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order, they were not that busy. From the time she took our order until the time we got our food it was 40 minutes. Then she messed the order up. Never came back to check on us to see how the first few bites were. Her and the other waitress were too busy talking. Food was good other than the fact that she messed our order up.

Stopped for breakfast at Eden Cafe. No one greeted us or anyone else when you walked in. For those of us who had never been there before, we had to ask if we needed to be seated. By the way, you seat yourself. There was only one waitress taking food orders, though there were a lot of workers walking around. We did get coffee right away, which was fresh, strong, and very good. However, we did have to wait a bit for our order to be taken. Hubby ordered the corned beef hash with 3 overeasy eggs. I ordered the breakfast bowl with 2 scrambled eggs, ham, cheddar cheese, and tots. Both were very tasty, and along with the coffee, raised the rating to 3 stars. Our waitress never checked back with us, and only once did someone come by to ask if we wanted more coffee.

We were there about six months ago and food was great. Went back and there was a delay when only 4 tables were in use slow wait to get order in. I had the same Mushroom Swiss Burger and it looked like a cube steak. There was no sauce with the Mushrooms. Was not good. French fries were good. Hubby had the Roast beef plate and had very little meat and almost no mased potatoes. We where very disappointed.

Waited over 5 minutes to be greeted AFTER sitting down and staff running circles around us. Had to say something about the long wait just to get coffee and water. Both meals were cold, tenderloin looked like chopped steak because they tenderized it. It was good, but who tenderizes a tenderloin? Server was very sweet and took off 20%, but doesn't change the fact that I took food home to heat up. Won't return

This is an ok place for breakfast and lunch. My family and I are some what frequent goers of this establishment. My main complaint i guess would be that if you order a coffee good luck getting a refill. Other than that I would recommend.

I don't generally leave bad reviews, but cmon.. waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order when we were 1 of 3 occupied tables. The country fried steak looked like it had been reheated 2x before finding a home on my plate. The rest of the food wasn't much better. Left about 80% of our food untouched.

We ate there on St Patrick day and waited 2 hours to get food. All 3 shelves were full of food waiting to go out but they were all mixed up and wrong food on plates??? Watched the food sit there for 45 minutes?? Very disappointed to see this!! Then we ate breakfast there today at 1:30 and I watched a waitress quick wipe off a table and shoved all the food from the table on to the chairs and left her shift I quess!! We also ordered a breakfast bowl and then she asked what cheese and I said they have never asked me that! She said they changed it now what cheese do you want? Never explained how it changed and when she brought it out and she came back to ask how it was I said very disappointed very dry. And why did they change it. She then said you didn’t say cheese sauce and I said you said it changed and no more explanation!! Then as they were cleaning soda machine a cook a guy came out and the girl said she was cleaning it and he said the f word where customers can hear it. We are not coming back for a while. 2 times and very disappointed????? This is sad!!!

Nice truck stop with plenty of room to park. They also have a restaurant here, which appears to also have a bar across the street from the truck stop. Update!!! The restaurant is definitely below par, two egg omelets between $7 to $10... the biscuits and gravy is down right horrible! I couldn't take more than one bit it was so awful.

This place used to be our go to place. Seems to have a lot of immature kids working here now. Food came undercooked and sour. Cooks comments was “It’s as fresh as it can get and we have had a lot of older customers complaining that it tastes sour.” My entire table tried it to include my kids all thought the same thing. I may be in my 30’s and their young cook that may be 16 was rude and disrespectful. Maybe the workers thought we couldn’t hear him but we all did. Situation awareness! Only came back here to bring my brother back for the memories since he was visiting for my daughters graduation party. We do not plan on returning again and he was very unsatisfied. Would not recommend this place! I never leave reviews unless places wow me and or I want others to be carful to not waist their money and time.

Great place! A buddy down here in StL is heading north in a few weeks. Looked up this great cafe attached to my favorite gas station in the midwest so he stops there both directions. Told him to come hungry and have an empty cooler for the return trip to bring back as much frozen foos and cheese / sausage from the gas station as he can.

Somebody get some pics of all the great food in the cafe and the groceries inside the gas station! Tried to show him but there's not much to show. If I head back that way I'll detour for the awesome countryside and this awesome extended pit stop.

This little gem was a surprise. I admit I was a bit skeptical because it is attached to a gas station. However, the minute I walked in, I forgot all about gas station.

I had an omelet with American fries, and it was pretty tasty. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and potatoey on the inside. I could have used a little more cheese on my omelet, but that's minor. I would definitely go there again.
