I ordered a chimichanga. It was a soft tortilla. A chimichanga is supposed to be deep fried, not simple wrapped in a tortilla. Everything was bland form the “chimichanga” to the rice and refried beens. No flavor
or spice at all.

Went to Neenah location. We frequently go to at leadt 1 a week.
There was a group of 6 adults, screaming and swearing. Customers with families left. 1 employee asked them to settle down, which they didn't. My husband called police. Too bad employees didn't ask them to leave.

Ordered door dash from here. Dasher waited almost an hour for my food and then they finally found my order behind the bar. At this point it was cold and she asked them to make another one for there mess up. They wouldn't so I canceled my order and placed a new one. Stopped here for lunch with a friend although it was busy mid way through the lunch we got a table. As soon as we were seated our server came over with with chips and salsa and refried beans and took our drink orders. We looked at the menu and enjoyed our chips and salsa and beans our server was back in a few minutes to take our orders we decided on the Beef chimichanga meal and the 2 enchiladas with rice and beans one chicken and one beef. Our food was brought out in short order on hot plates and both looked very good and we were not disappointed my friend said the Chimichanga was great and my enchiladas and Rice and Beans were also great good flavors in everything food was hot and perfectly cooked. El Azteca is a very good Mexican Rest. is it as good and authentic as some others I've been in around Wisconsin or say Texas no maybe not but it is very good and you won't disappointed with your meal. I've read some reviews that talked about food not being spicy or no flavor to those I say our food had plenty of flavor and if you want spicy order it spicy or ask them to put some heat in it I will bet they will.

Whenever I come here, the staff are always talkative to me and seem to genuinely enjoy waiting whichever table I'm at. One of the things that I love too is the food. There's never too much fat in the food that lowers the experience there either. Overall, this is one of the best places to eat in the area and I wish more people would see that.

first of all service isn't the greatest. I ordered a chicken burrito. and my gf got a beef burrito. I was served the beef burrito and I have a red meat intolerance and wasn't too happy. got a raspberry margarita and tasted like alcohol than anything else. also when paying they added a 1.50 dollar fee if paying card. they didn't mention that part or a warning.

Edit:
Since I got such a professional response, I'll explain in further detail, my pork in my dish was dry and bland. The entire dish had very little flavor, It was covered in a white cheese sauce which was the only flavor in my dish.

My wife forgets what she had but when we got home mentioned that she was not impressed by the food.

Our margaritas were good.

I order for pick up often and usually love it. I feel bad posting this, but as they are closed now I cannot call to voice my experience privately.. I got hard tortillas, brown (not just the top, all of it even after I stirred) avocado, and literally just fat no meat to it in my carnitas. I got there for late lunch,I had just normal street cloths, a few people were there eating. Wait staff was plenty, ready for any rush...and well dressed uniform waiters...liked it ,gave it class....
I liked the south of the border motif, and Spanish music. A good festive atmosphere....I had chips and house made salsa that was automatically brought out with your drink, the big stake boreteo, with soda, food was real tasty , I could only eat half of the big boreteo and was happily stuffed ,took the rest home....did not ask for or seen any hot sauce....my bad....my bill was for one person : $19.29. I could have happily spent more .....it is real good,

Honestly I give this place zero stars there food was terrible! The atmosphere was lovely, bright and exciting. The booths and tables were all very big. It was clean, I even saw someone wiping down the menus.
The server was very nice but couldn't be very attentive because he was serving half the restaurant. Almost all tables had people at them. Our order was taken quickly and drinks arrived promptly.
The margaritas were great and came in different sizes. The small was nice and small and the medium was generous. The house margaritas and peach margaritas were yummy. We would have them again.
Chips, salsa, and bean dip arrived with the drinks. The salsa and bean dip were good.
Our food arrived quickly and that's where it went down.
We got 2 different combo plates. They were large but the food was bland. The red sauce on the enchilada was oddly sweet and thin. The shredded chicken was also very bland. I could see there were onions and peppers in the chicken but couldn't taste them. The combination plate was just the chicken wrapped 3 different ways with the watery sweet red sauce. It was the same with the others plate too. Not at all impressed by the main dish.
We might go back for drinks but probably won't get dinner.

Stopped for lunch and in the past it's always been very good, good service and food. Not this time though. Ordered a taco salad and had more greece and water from the meat vs anything else. Meat was not ground beef it was really pasty, cold and flavorless. Also big chunks of something that looked like sausage in it but yet it wasn't sausage. Barely any lettuce. Shell was soaked in greece and used our napkins at the table to try to soak up. Server never came back after dropping of the food until my husband was done. I told him it was a horrible salad and he could see I didnt eat it, he said I can tell the manager if I wanted, but here was the bill. Then when went up to pay they add fees to use credit card but don't tell you or show you until after you pay. Could have paid cash. Left hungry and will not be back.

I wanted to love this place. Upon reading a few of the reviews I expected something old and run down. On the contrary, the restaraunt is beautiful and the service was awesome as well.

My qualms here are the portion sizes and taste of the food. My fajita steak portion was much smaller than I’m used to … and I’m a small lady. The meat was flavorless and required a lot of toppings to make it taste good. I took a bite of my toddler’s soft taco and it tasted unbelievably watery and void of flavor. I almost spit it out.

If they could offer better seasoned food and better portions this place would easily be a 5/5. The beans they serve with the chips are good, but that’s about it.

Spent $50.00 on two take out meals which consisted of two taco carne asada meals and two chilie relleno. The worst meals we have had in along time, couldn't even finish them. No flavor on the meat for tacos, some green stuff that we thought guacamole (it was not and it was so hot couldn't eat it). What was suppose to be beans was a puree of who knows what? The chilie relleno was disgusting, breading was thick and under cooked with absolutely no flavor. We have eaten at this location (Neenah) and others a few years back when we lived in the area and the food was excellent and were excited to have it again, what the heck happened? With the way prices are now for food and especially eating out, save your money or spend it elsewhere. By the way, I never write reviews.

Chips and queso (“cheese dip”) are great but if you want carry out, think again. I paid over $50 for a simple quesadilla, a chimichanga and a medium order of chips with queso and the food was mediocre at best. I ordered two chicken tacos through Door dash. The tacos I received were beef and one of the two tacos was inedable because of how soggy it was. I also ordered their dessert chimichanga. I guess they were out of this, but instead of calling they just replaced it with a different dessert. If they would have called I would have just taken the dessert off of the order as I don't personally like the dessert they replaced it with.

Food was ice cold. The $13 "steak" tacos are the furthest thing from real steak and they're served on a hard shell with cheese and lettuce.
