Children’s taco are 7 dollars per. Steak on that taco is pretty dry lettuce tomato and cheese were okay… kids needed to use the nacho dip on the taco in order to eat them. Three tacos for an adult is 17 dollars comes with rice and beans. I don’t care about how my food comes I’m gonna eat it because I’m paying for it. But kiddos didn’t eat because they (a 5 and 4 year old) couldn’t eat the tacos without coming to a standstill. Great property but lacking in substance. I think they have a great location that caters to people who may not be accustomed to taqueria foods and accept hats offered.

This place has gone down hill since a new owner bought it around winter of 2024. Went in today for lunch around 1pm not very busy at all. I had to hunt down our waitress in order to get our bill and some boxes. She finally comes to check us out and hands me the card reader machine where I am unable to see the itemized bill just the total. I swipe my card and ask for a paper receipt because the total seemed very expensive. I was charged twice for my lunch and the waitress was hard to work with. This wouldn’t be a big deal if I didn’t hear a couple when we walked telling our waitress there was added charges to their bill as well. So to me this seems like a money scam with the new owner where they add items to your receipt and hope you don’t notice by not showing you a check before you pay. Now my debit card is messed up waiting for a refund that the waitress said I will receive in 3-5 days. There was no offer to right this mistake or apology from management. This establishment has become a joke.

Stopped in on a recommendation and I was actually pleasantly surprised.

The restaurant is big, sectioned off to a degree, slightly different themes in each section but all the typical Mexican themed stuff you get wherever you go. Initially, that put me off because the decor (to me) is cheesy because it is so cliche. However, despite being packed, we were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly, always smiling no matter what table she was at and knowledgeable. Given how crowded it was I thought the food was going to take a while but it actually came out in a very timely manner.

To my great surprise, because I usually don't have the same taste in what I prefer for Mexican food as my partner, the food was actually pretty tasty. The chicken was easily the winner; excellent flavor and so soft. The favorite between us though was their verde sauce. SO YUMMY!

My only complaint is their tequila selection. I was hoping for a better selection of quality tequila instead of what most people think is good tequila. Even their 'good' tequila, despite the price, has more additives than necessary. (Yeah, I'm a tequila snob) And the parking stinks because it's in the same lot as a strip mall and it gets crowded. Still a decent spot to eat though.

Food will always be a 10/10 for me. Service is usually a 10/10 as well but this time... our server wasn't the greatest. They also took my favorite dish off the menu :( *pollo poblano con queso* the kitchen accommodated me by making something similar and it was so good. I spoke to a manager not to complain but to offer experienced advice about the server. He forgot my husband's food and took way too long to come back and check on us for anything including refills, at the end of our meal we had to get up and look for him to get our check. I didnt want compensation or a free meal just to be able to help make the situation better for the server and teach for future customers. I've always worked in customer service my whole life and also worked at El beso. I knew the family well during that time and the high standards they keep. Its what makes them successful and one of the best restaurants in wisconsin. El Beso holds a special place in my heart and a huge part of who I am today in the food/customer service industry. I am so proud of all of it. I will always stop by when im in town. Its truly one of a kind and one of my family's favorites. I was there when those walls were being painted and it's absolutely breathtaking, truly nothing like it❤️ I will ALWAYS HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and all the ones this family owns.

I have been to El Beso many times. Our server took awhile to come to our table and greet us. By the time she came, we had decided on what we wanted to order to drink and eat. It was the first time my friend had been to El Beso. We decided to order a half pitcher of blended strawberry margaritas. The server returned with margaritas on the rocks. I told her about the error right away. She told us to keep the pitcher and said she’d be back with blended margaritas.
Based on the online menu, I went in knowing what I wanted to order. Unfortunately, it had been taken off the menu, and they couldn’t accommodate my request to make it. Instead, I decided to order the steak fajitas as they were somewhat close to what I’d wanted to order. The food came quickly. The server hadn’t returned with the correct margaritas, so I had to ask her about it. She returned a few minutes later with one blended margarita, despite there being 2 of us. The food was very disappointing. The steak was very bland. The dish overall lacked flavor. The rice and beans were also not as seasoned as I’ve had them many times in the past. My friend ordered tostadas. Normally, and as described, they should have had beans on the bottom, however there was none. Instead, the server just brought out a small plate of beans instead of bringing out a fresh order made correctly. My friend also said her meat was bland and lacked flavor. She said the same about the rice. When we were finished, my friend declined a box. As I hadn’t eaten much of my food, I decided to take it home. We then waited and waited for the server to bring the check. We finally had to ask for it. I had wanted to take my friend, who was visiting from out of town to another Mexican restaurant, but because of Sunmerfest traffic, I thought El Beso was a good alternative. I was VERY WRONG!! We paid out check and left. I ultimately decided to throw out the take out boxes. I tried the food again at home, and it just wasn’t worth it. I won’t be back after this experience. I was also going to leave a review on their Facebook page, and I find it interesting that they don’t give you the option. Very, very disappointing, especially when bringing someone from out of town thinking we’d enjoy a nice meal and drinks.

I had such an amazing experience because of the two best bartenders Ana and Caro, Ana always welcomes me w a smile and ready to take my order and Caro is very attentive always asking if I’d like anything else and if my day is going good. Miss the owner sitting at the front table I believe your general manager needs to be a little more involved in your establishment The female bartenders constantly chatting with other staff and not paying attention to customers. We met a few friends here yesterday. Our server was great. She brought us one bowl of chips for every two people and one bowl of salsa for every person. We thought the salsa was great. It was very fresh tasting and had chunks of real tomato in it. I love that she brought one bowl for each of us so we could double dip, haha. I had the lunch special chimichanga with steak. It was pretty good. Very meaty and cheesy as you can see in the picture. The beans were okay and the rice was pretty bland. I love spanish rice but this did seem like it came out of a box lol. No worries. I just mixed the rice and beans together and ate them that way. Would eat here again but probably only during lunch as the prices were much better for lunch specials.

We've been there as a group a number of times. The food/drinks good.
A group 8 of us were there on April 23, 2025 about 4pm. A table with a long bench against the wall with chairs opposite was set up for us. Our group is in the age range of mid'60's. We were supposed to scooch down the bench to be seated. I thought the hostess (she was on the young/inexperienced side ? ) could have read the group a little better and seated us a table with all chairs. The group was eventually seated at a table/chair set up after we mentioned the bench seat would be a challenge for some of the members.
We would like to have some separate checks and it is mentioned at the BEGINING of the order taking. Sometimes we can get separate checks at El Beso, sometimes we can't.
When the bill came, most of us pay with cash, some use a credit card. The waitress entered payments with credit cards separately - I believe there were 2 with credit cards.
Seriously, what is the big deal about separate checks! The waitress still had to figure out the charges to go with that person's order. If time is an issue, why not plan ahead and do the separate check as requested in the beginning. Wouldn't it have been simpler from the getgo to do separate checks?
The separate check issue is a pet peeve of mine and I'll think twice about going back to a restaurant that won't do it.

Exceeded expectations on EVERYTHING on Cinco De Mayo!!! Despite our online reservation being denied due to the holiday El Beso went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal!! I appreciated the friendly host and the concerned manager's attention to detail during the chaos at hostess stand on probably their bustiest day. We were sat in a timely manner and had a bubbly, knowledge server. The margaritas and food were spot on with quality, quantity, taste and presentation!! El Beso restaurant and cantina is a Mexican restaurant. First of all when you pull into the parking lot you see the beautiful decorated exterior.
The interior is beautiful colorful, vibrant, bright and cheerful. Everywhere you look there's something wonderful to see.
They have a great menu with appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, fajitas and a large selection of dinner entrees.
We were greeted and seated immediately. Once seated we received fresh made tortilla chips and salsa which was very good. We selected from the lunch special on the menu. Both of our dishes were delicious . Both included very flavorful rice and beans. Our waitress made us feel very welcome and was very attentive. She made the whole experience very enjoyable.
We decided that whenever we're back in that area we're going to make sure to stop in again for some delicious food.

After doing some shopping in the area, I worked up an appetite. I’m always down for some good Mexican food. I started off with chips and salsa—a nice warm chip with not too much salt paired with a delicious salsa. I ordered some guacamole as well. For a drink, I got one of their house margaritas with peach and mango flavoring blended.
For my entree, I got the lunch special of two tacos: one steak and one shrimp. The best way to get them is the El Baso way, with just onion and cilantro on a corn tortilla. It came with a side of rice and refried beans.
To end the lunch, I craved some churros. They came out warm and sugary with a side of chocolate sauce. Delicious!

The inside of El Beso has got to be some of the coolest I’ve seen. The walls and decorations are very colorful and adds to the overall experience. However, if the same amount of effort applied to the decorations went into the food and service, this could be a favorite location of mine. The service was okay, our waitress didn’t seem enthusiastic to serve us but did check in. The food came out quickly during a lunch rush on a Saturday, but I’d rather have waited longer if that meant it tasted better. The food is more expensive compared to other competitors I’ve been to, and unfortunately the quality doesn’t match the price. Nothing we received seemed authentic. The chips tasted/looked like the ones you would get from a concession. I had a steak and avocado taco, the steak of which was dry. The rice and beans tasted like premade frozen food. I’d be willing to return to try something different.

Easily our favorite place. Reliably good food, quick service, kind and efficient servers.

Today we had a surprise party for someone, and another local establishment dropped the ball by losing our reservation (4pm Sunday) and making us wait an hour with no table or communication.

El Beso saved the day by seating us nearly immediately with practically no notice. Individual salsas and water waiting on the table, quick service with a smile, automatic refills for our ships and soft drinks. It was so nice to rely on our favorite place and have them shine like the stars they are.
