First time trying this place, at their new location in De Pere. Fast and friendly service. They have the best Italian margarita! They start you off with free chips and salsa. For apps we tried the birria eggrolls, which already filled us up before our main course. Soup or salad came with the pasta: we got the house salad with ranch dressing, and a beef potato soup, with the shrimp and lobster linguine, and chicken and shrimp carbonara. We also got breadsticks with the meal.

El Bistro Taco visit was excellent. Speedy service even though most tables were full during dinner service around 6:30pm. Food was excellent. I had Mexican style chorizo tacos with chips and guacamole. Friendly waitstaff. Environment was very clean, including the bathrooms. Even have wood infant station in mens bathroom that is very sturdy, not the plastic ones that pull down from wall with straps.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food is truly amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it’s a small, family-owned business — you can really feel the care they put into everything. I wasn’t impressed with the Mexican food. I ordered the smothered burrito with steak. It arrived in a respectable amount of time but the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The steak was chopped, very tough, and grizzly. I was hoping for a shredded steak like at other Mexican restaurants. The temperature of the burrito was even more disappointing. It was just above room temp, not even perceptible as warm on the inside when eating it. The staff were friendly but nothing over the top. I’d look elsewhere for Mexican. I have no idea how the Italian food is.

Cleverly hidden on Oneida Street. Would not have seen it if it wasn't for the large food trailer that was out front. They are moving 400 main Street in DePere. This is not a large venue but it is very nice ☺️ inside and has been well maintained. The service was great and they have a lot of options.

Since this was my first time visiting, I thought I would start off with the tacos. Such a great choice!

The balance of everything was right on the money, the flavor of the steak was fabulous, and the salsa options were super delicious.

I am from Milwaukee, but let me tell ya, I think I might have to come back up here sooner than later just for the tacos, like legit they were that good. I can only imagine how some of the other dishes they offer taste based on my experience.

I highly recommend you come check out El Bistro, you won't regret it!

I've eaten here about 20 times now and have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and the waiter (lunchtime M-F, always the same guy) is always friendly and smiling, on top of things, not sitting on his phone like everywhere else you see. This is a unique, tiny little restaurant that creates some delicious food. A great combo of Italian and Mexican food (not together in dishes, although I think they could make that work too!), there are some outstanding plates. There is limited seating, so choose your time wisely or take out, although I think some of these creations are best fresh in house. We had the mussels app in the spicy Nepali sauce...they aren't kidding. My Korean tastebuds were on fire! But the sauce was crazy flavorful despite the heat.

I got the bistro de mare, an Italian seafood dish with a tomato-inspired sauce. The seafood was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a depth of flavor that was shocking, it was so good. My other half got the burrito of the day, which came on a dinner plate and took up the whole plate. The meat was well seasoned and the burrito lacked nothing.

While we were there, a couple people ordered the other item I was considering, the lobster shrimp linguine....I can tell you I'm planning my next trip to green bay just to have that dish.

This is an amazing little restaurant. We had bruschetta appetizer. Very flavorful and the bread was warm when it got to the table. I ordered from the Mexican side and had the chimechanga dinner. They were crispy, delicious and full of chicken and cheese yumminess. My husband had Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara. Evenly balanced flavors, the shrimp was not fishy tasting and he says it was phenomenal. The next time we are near Green Bay, we will be stopping here. Might even be tomorrow night!

When we arrived, the place seemed like the typical chain restaurant, but instead, it revealed a great homemade cuisine. The chicken fajita on the stone arrived that was still buzzing in the heat and the smell was delicious. You can order tacos of the variety and number you want. This is the greatest win because you can pick and choose only what you want and mix and match easily without spending a fortune to try more than one type. The prices are affordable for very satisfying lunches. The food is cooked on the spot with high quality ingredients. There is no way you can be dissatisfied from this place. Steak was underwhelming though, was more like ground beef than steak but had good flavor. Was SO excited about this restaurant. Lots of good reviews. Small but cute and quaint environment. I’m a server at a restaurant so the first thing I noticed was a very RUDE and unattentive server with zero personality and seemed to hate her job. Was not welcomed. Was not said “hi” to. Was not told about the lunch special. Salsa and chips were brought out about 10 minutes after ordering our food. Salsa was bland and boring. Chips were ok. I would have to say from being an experienced server and restaurant manager- the first thing a consumer experiences is the wait staff. That sets the tone for the entire experience - and will cost an establishment A LOT OF MONEY. STARTED BAD. ENDED BAD… and it’s a shame. Didn’t get soda refill until some random gal came out and asked. When lunch was done, asked for ONE extra tortilla to take so I could enjoy my leftovers at home. Waited 5 minutes for 3 unrequested tortillas to arrive, then noticed on the bill we were charged extra. When checking out with the same person who served us, I told her that I was simply giving a word of advice in saying she should have stated there was an additional charge for 3x2 in tortillas when only 1 was requested- and I wasn’t rude about giving the advice because I felt this young girl needed guidance. She stared at me. Said nothing-not even an apology or admitting she errored. We paid our bill and left so overall this was a HUGE MISTAKE coming here. Management as they should- say on the posts that the people should say things before making posts. WE DID. WE GOT SILENCE. That being said - while we like to support local, it’s doubtful we will return. Service and how you feel about a place mostly relies on a server from the moment you walk in. When feedback is provided when payment is made and you feel like you aren’t heard- THAT IS WHEN PEOPLE DONT RETURN REGARDLESS OF THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD

Small cute little place.. Togo order ..FOOD I underestimated....service was super fantastic. I had Mexican hubby Italian... AMAZING FOOD SERVICE..will be back. Highly recommended

Excellent, very high quality food. I usually get Italian and my son gets Mexican when we order from here. The food is incredible but the building is tiny and not very inviting. I suggest takeout when ordering and the bruschetta.

Have yet to visit this restaurant. BF turn me on to this as takeout and I am addicted! Best authentic food ever and wished they had a restaurant on the East side of Green Bay! Keep up the great work guys! I'll be back for more of the awesome yumminess 🤤🤗
Finally stopped in to meet the El Bistro Taco family. They are extremely friendly, love their customers, gave excellent advice on an Italian dish which I never had before Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara. Fantastic choice thank you!🤗 along with my normal routine of chicken burrito, mexican tacos, chips and cazadores dip. Always excellent! 👍😁Thank you guys! I'll be back again! 🤤 SUPER YUMMY 😋

Found this restaurant in a search for something new and different from our usual. So glad we did! The portion of chips and salsa provided before our meal was perfectly sized - not too much to fill one up before the main course came. Portion sizes perfect overall, and high remarks for freshness of ingredients and presentation - we are leaving full, but not over-indulged and sick. Very much enjoyed the quaint and quiet environment, a stark contrast to many similar restaurants. Will absolutely be returning soon!

What a hidden gem. We were pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. From the guacamole to the cheese dip then the tacos...just awesome. Everything had great flavor. I would highly recommend!!!

We drive from Appleton to Greenbay for the food, Always a must if I want tacos. Amazing food (especially tacos) and kind staff! Dine in or take out are both great options which isn’t always the case with most places.
