Came in on Columbus Day (not busy) no wait to be seated with the family it took 30+min to get drinks and no food ever got to us the waiter simply forgot about us, a family of six. After almost an hour our kids got tired of waiting, we ended up going elsewhere. So dissatisfied this place has little left compared to what they were years ago. As a weekly regular I am sad to see them turn a corner into a bad direction when it comes to service.

Excellent place to go for Mexican, salsa was very good, and if you like hot ask for the hot salsa, it had a great kick! The chips were only ok though, but not a reason to change a rating! I had the drunken Chicken chimichanga, I would definitely have that again.. There were about 10 other things I wanted to try on the menu, so I will definitely have to go back. Highly recommend!

My friends and I frequent El Camino for dinner. The food has always been excellent. We always start with torilla chips and freshly made guacamole. I highly recommend ordering either the Pollo Gordo or the shrimp tacos. The service is really good. Martina has been our server a few times recently and has provided us excellent customer care. I highly recommend El Camino to dine out at.

Went at 5pm for my son’s birthday food came out so fast. Was charged extra for extra limes($1) and pico($1) and $5 a piece for the hot fries instead of rice and beans….$149 for 4 meals an appetizer 2 desserts and 3 drinks. Only got pictures of the desserts. 3 alcoholic drinks and 2 regular drinks

The coffee was terrible it tasted like it was the last...cup for the day.
Asked for the all you can eat salad and soup..thought ill give the tortilla soup a try..clumpy,tasteless, and super thick. I asked for the lasagna soup since it was according to the waitress one of the favorites. ..same..did not eat...stomach pain all day...

First time visiting this restaurant, and we enjoyed ourselves. Our server, Erin, was super attentive without being annoying. And, she has the patience of a saint! We were busy chatting and catching up, and took forever to order, but she was so nice with us. She recommended the lasagna soup, which was good! Tacos and Santa Fe Salad were also delicious! And, you can't beat $5 Margaritas on a Tuesday either! Great covered patio area, too!

We were in town on a fishing trip and were looking for a good place to eat and ended up here. It was outstanding. Absolutely excellent food and service! I had the Cali Style Burrito and let me tell you, I still think about how good that burrito was! All of the food ordered at our table was very good. 10/10 would NOT recommend. My family and I arrived this morning, took so long to get seated (only ones in line) we didn’t get acknowledged until my baby started crying. Upon finally getting seated. We ordered an horchata. Worst horchata we’ve ever tasted in our lives. The horchata was so thick like as if I was trying to drink pudding out of a straw. We got there at 10am. We were so excited to try their Mexican food, only to find out they don’t serve lunch until 11am. Mind you it’s already 10:20am. We are not breakfast kind of folks. We like lunch meals. So since our children hadn’t ate all morning with the expectations to have a nice meal here. They settled for pancakes. My husband and I ordered nothing. Worst part the kids didn’t like the pancakes whatsoever. We literally paid for a bill of food that no one ate. Ended up getting food on our way home instead. Unbelievable, never again. Save your money and dine elsewhere for your sake.

This place is amazing. If you're ever with a group of people who can't agree on one type of food this is the place for you guys. I stumbled upon this place in passing and went in to discover that it is an American, Mexican, and asian fusion restaurant so there is something for everyone here. I wil say if you're specifically in the mood for asian there aren't as many options but there are plenty of Mexican and American options. Me and my wife split a burger and burrito and everything was amazing. Its going to take me several more trips to try out everything I want to try on this massive menu. 1000% would recommend this place is a true gem.

I went with a friend and my granddaughters and we had a great time. The food was delicious, the server was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very nice as we could talk and actually hear each other. We didn’t have to wait terribly long to be seated, maybe about 10 minutes. Our server, Emma, was very kind and prompt. We got drinks right away, an appetizer came quickly after that, and we barely finished it before our food was served. Very fast service and delicious food, we will definitely return. This plate consisted of tortilla chips, refried beans, melted chihuahua cheese, lettuce, Pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole.
Protein options were chicken tinga, ground chuck, and Puerco salsa verde.
I chose the chicken tinga.
The chips to topping ratio was balanced.
The portion size was more than enough for one adult.
The pricing was reasonable.
Overall, I enjoyed this plate.

Second time to El Camino. The first time was not good. Food and service were subpar. Things have not changed in the year since then. My wife and I met some friends there.

None of us thought the food was special. My wife and one of our friends both had the Asian shrimp bowl. Neither of them were impressed and would not order it again. Our other friend had the Al Pastor, and he was disappointed. He thought it was a little flat on flavor, thought it would have a little more spice. I ordered the Tacos de Alambre with grilled chicken. Despite the description of the dish, the chicken was the best part of the dish, except it was warm at best, the green pepper and onions were over sauted and not much cheese. The Alambre was supposed to come with Hickory bacon, but for $1 dollar more I could get their bourbon bacon, which I ordered. There was no bacon in the dish(at least I was not charged the extra $. This dish comes with refried beans and Mexican rice, and again, no flavor. I wish I had taken a picture. My order, each item, came on separate plates where my dinner took up half the table. Separate plate for beans and rice, separate for the Alambre, separate plate for taco stuffing, the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions and a tortilla container. In order to place it all on our table, he stacked the stuffing on top of the tortilla container. So, each time I wanted to get out a tortilla, I had to hold the plate.

The service was very subpar. Shortly after we sat, our server came by with chips and a bowel of mild salsa and said he would be right back. When he came back, he asked if we wanted anything to drink. We placed our orders, and I asked about their bourbons he let me know they were out of Blanton's, but the rest of the should be in stock. After ordering 5 different bourbons and all were out of stock, I decided just to have water. We also asked if they had a hot or spicier salsa. They do but did not offer it, but would bring some to us. About 10 minutes later, we had to remind him before he brought it in a very small container about halfthe size of the mild.

We will not be coming back! If you are looking for a good restaurant featuring good Mexican food, I would recommend Iguana Wanna. They are less than a mile away.

Stopped in for the second time. Great location. Excellent Mexican cuisine. The first time I had the naked burrito with poblano sauce. Very good flavor. A little skimpy on the meat though. The three of us at our table felt that the food was a little salty and the chef could ease off on it a little. There is salt on the table. However, on my second visit, I had the Carne Asada Burrito, Enchilada style with the poblano sauce. The food wasn't salty this time. The burrito had good flavor. I had issues with trying to cut the burrito with the knife provided. Staff should invest in better knives or sharpen the ones they have. If you are going to have the burrito, I highly recommend asking for more of the salsa that is provided with the chips and pour that over the burrito. The salsa has great flavor and takes the burrito to a whole other level. The enchiladas, rice, and beans were good as well. Great customer service. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. I'll certainly be back.

Let's start positive: atmosphere is great, I've been 5 times now, and it's always clean, even when busy.
Their food is okay. Definitely not a top 10 place, but if you're going out with a group and this is the place chosen the food is adequate. They do have some fun food combinations.

Servers. I have yet to have a great server here, even just an okay server. This past time though which was yesterday we had the rudest server. She barely spoke to us, would leave the table before a question could even be asked. Asked if we needed boxes before we were even done with our food - we were going to get desserts but never got the chance to ask her. My daughter tried asking for a refill twice and she never even acknowledged her.
She slid the check on the table and just kept going. I open it up ahhh I see why. The menu prices are inaccurate and she probably didn't want to hear the question. I got a kids burrito. In the menu you have an option chicken or beef for 5.99. Yet the bill comes you get charged 5.99 for a burrito and 1.50 for the chicken 🙄 the menu needs to have that disclosed.

El Camino was the first place I ate after moving to Wisconsin a few years ago and frankly, I fell in love. It is my absolute favorite restaurant and I have never been disappointed with the food. The birria ramen is my favorite meal, and I have tried to imitate it at home and can never get it to taste as delicious as El Camino’s version. I’ve never had to wait very long to be seated even when it seems pretty busy, and the menu is so eclectic that everyone can find something perfect for their tastes. There have been a couple of times that the servers seem a little overwhelmed by tables, but to some level that’s what happens when a place is so popular! I always recommend El Camino when friends or family visit and we have a wonderful time every visit!

My first comment is the service was excellent. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Knowing they are part of the Roots group the menu had some of our La Fogata favorites and other standard fare. What a difference 4 years makes since our last visit to this restaurant. The food here is so good. I'm flexitarian, I especially like to limit my beef consumption, but the burgers and barbacoa here are so good I find myself making exceptions. The elotes burger is so messy but 100% worth it! The other thing you can't go wrong on are their soups. Every one is so rich and delicious. Their chicken tortilla or lasagna soups are never a bad choice, but so many of their soups of the day are outstanding and my absolute favorite is the simple beer cheese soup. I've eaten here many times and never tried anything or had someone I was with try something they really didn't like. The atmosphere and servers are always very pleasant.

I have been to this place at least 3 times for dining in, and ordered takeout at least a half-dozen times. Sometimes the takeout seems a little rushed and maybe thrown together. However, at least twice now i have been lucky enough to get food when Rebecca was there, and both times the food was extraordinarily good. and they paid attention to every detaiil. My experience was just top-notch! I order the shrimp enchiladas, the plate was well put together, portions were generous, everything was terrific, Rebecca is customer-focused and just wonderful. We had a party of 14, with 4 kids for an 85th Birthday party. Abigail was our server. She was outstanding. She returned over and over to check on us and never missed a beat. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Was a typical Saturday evening, restaurant appeared somewhat busy and service started ok but then went downhill. Drinks took almost an hour to come out, even after reminding waitress, and food came out incorrect for three of us. Won’t be going back.

Every time going to this place my wife and I have loved it. Our daughter is super picky and loved the food as well. This is a great place for a date, or just a family dinner as the lighting is very nice and the food is just so good it's impossible to recommend 1 thing. For those of us from the south, we appreciate the queso Blanco as well :)

This is one of my favorite places in Kenosha. I started with the chimichanga as my favorite order, then the barbacoa enchiladas and now the Baja shrimp tacos typically win. This is a restaurant that cares more about how much liquid you get in your glass rather than the customer experience. If you order a non alcoholic drink without ice they will pour it in a smaller glass than the regular size glass used normally. God forbids you get more lemonade in the space ice occupies.
That is the most petty thing I’ve seen at a restaurant.
When I complained about it, I told them exactly how I felt. Instead of addressing the concerns the so called manager decided to argue with me eventually claiming that I was raising my voice.
Mind you when I decided to leave, she pretty much told me that she wished I never came back to the restaurant.
She is most definitely getting her wish granted.
I do hope that saving an ounce of beverage was well worth losing paying customers.

Tonight we came here for the first time 2-21-2025,they have a very extensive menu consisting of Mexican, American,Asian food plus a beautiful bar area.The people working tonight were extremely friendly 🤩We decided to order ribs and a simple cheeseburger 🍔 This restaurant was packed and very kid friendly.It was nice to see people out enjoying good food and company 😄

I have, since the last 1 star review given El Camino Kitchen another chance. I have friends that wanted to meet there for lunch one day and I went back. This time was probably more than a year later. That's how bad my first experience was. However, I'm more than happy to admit that my second experience was much, much better. I had chimichangas and they were delicious. Our waitress seemed much happier this time and was very friendly. I don't know when, but I expect I'll be going here again. El Camino Kitchen has redeemed itself in my opinion. 👍🏻👍🏻

My first and last visit here. Based on the prices I was looking forward to some good food. I ordered tenderloin medalions with fries and chicken rice soup ($29). I'm not going to post a photo of my food because then you would see the piece of meat I had to spit out on my plate. Four small pieces of tenderloin all cooked differently. One was ok, one was overcooked and inedible, one was raw, one was tough. None had any taste at all and I needed to salt and pepper just to eat. The waitress offered me steak sauce. Yes, steak sauce for a tenderloin (the mind boggles). The mushrooms were tiny, thin and sparse. Not sure if they were canned or not. The fries were cold and inedible. The soup seemed ok, I didn't see any rice in it and I kept getting hints of shell fish taste. I had to check more than once if there was just chicken in there or clams. Must have added oyster sauce or something. The tastelessness and quality of the food reminded me of Denny's, except I can finish eating what I order from Denny's. Really pathetic to spend $40 on lunch and have to leave half of it there on the plate for the garbage. Dino, I've seen your lip service to other reviewers. Don't bother here. I'm not going to email you. I've said everything right here already. Fire your cook in Pleasant Prarie.

Always have a great experience here. Today I was disappointed when my husband ordered a chicken & shrimp PSN he received only chicken. When we let the bartender know she went to the back and came back saying “the kitchen said they put the shrimp in there” there is no need to lie when there is a camera right above us (check it!) Then she said well I can put in for the shrimp. Lady you should’ve did that when you went back there knowing we were missing it and not came back out until you had shrimp in your hand. Sad to be called a liar & not getting what we ordered.

We were here for the first time a few weeks ago and Daisy served us. She was incredibly helpful and kind as I was overwhelmed with the large variety of the menu. Prices were a little high, but food arrived quickly and tasted pretty good. Looking forward to returning.
