I ordered two take out dinners last night, one was a Taco Fajita Salad, and the other was a Chimichanga dinner..
I called it in, went to pick it up, and brought it home. I started to eat shortly after that, and noticed the Taco Fajita Salad did not have any flavor to it. The meat was bland as can be. And a vegetables were soggy... When my fiance dug into the Chimichanga, she said the same thing about the meat that it was bland as can be.

I don't know what happened that day, but dinner was horrible. I think they need to add some seasoning to their food.

Ive been here many times and my overall experience has been great. The food is excellent and the employees are hardworking and very nice. My family even threw my grandmother's 80th birthday here without a prior reservation, and the staff was willing to go above and beyond to accommodate us

Went here on a lunch date with My Husband. The restaurant had a wide variety to choose from. The food was alright and the prices were very reasonable.. I had shrimp tacos and he had a burrito. I wasn’t in love with the mango daiquiri that came with whipped cream usually I would do margaritas but I decided to try something new . Overall a pleasant atmosphere. I will try here again.

One of my favorite places to eat because of the speed the food comes out. Mostly friendly staff though there are some grumps and sometimes they forget about you or just plain leave without finishing your table. Mostly good food if you know what to order. Food comes out quickly! 😋 Get there 20 minutes to half hour, depending on who's working and what mood they're in, to get served before closing. I was there one night 25 minutes before they closed and they wouldn't serve me but got there 35 minutes the next night to make sure I could eat and they seated a party of three 15 minutes before closing which was after I got there the nihht before! Same people working both nights!! I guess it's who you are as to whether you get to eat or not.

Well first my daughter called days ahead to make sure we didn't inconvenience with table of 9. Got there and said no one called, no one knew what was going on and seated us at booths next to each other. 17 min for someone to come to our table for drinks. Didn't see anyone for awhile and drinks were finished before anyone came back to take our order. Due to the weather and driving 3 hours back home we were waiting.... 42 min later got food and most of it was okay, the rest was terrible. Had to track someone down and hour and 40 mins of being three for the bill. We frequent the stevens point location and it's always great, BUT not this site. Thanks more making my daughters college graduation rememberable and not in a good way.

Overall it was a great experience eating here, menu has plenty of options! I got a chimichanga, it was good, I would say it was a little overloaded with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and refried beans. But that’s not really something to complain about or dock for on ratings. Service was quick and efficient. Overall I would recommend this place to a friend or family member.

My goodness, I loved and missed this place so much! I recently traveled to Wisconsin with my husband, we were helping my mom move out to Virginia. Let me say, El Mezcal will forever be my favorite Mexican Restaurant. I remember when it first opened when I was a little kid and how much I enjoyed the food.
Let me say, NO WHERE in Virginia has bean chimichangas (it’s heart breaking), so being pregnant and craving it, that is what I ordered. It was just as good as I remembered. My husband did love the salsa and found it to be one of the best- which I agree in all honesty.
Everyone who was with us enjoyed the food and pretty much finished their entire plate.
I look forward to coming back in the future with my children when we come out to visit family.
Customer service is always excellent and everyone is welcoming. Hopefully the business never changes in any way.

We have been going to this place since I can remember, 16+ years. We actually catered our wedding rehearsal dinner from here. The food is delicious, quick and priced well. Our favorites are shrimp a la diablo, fajitas, burritos, and margarita on the rocks. There have been several new Mexican restaurant in rapids in the last few years that I have also tried, but this one is my favorite. The menu and portion sizes are just classic. Their kids menu offers good option too. Staff are quick and friendly.

My now ex-boyfriend recommended we go here, and me not having tried this place before, figured why not.

The salsa here is truly one of a kind. It was absolutely perfect. Without a doubt the best salsa I've ever had. We got a thing of cheese fries to share, and I got some nachos while my ex got a chicken quesadilla. Best nachos I've ever had. The fries were nice and crispy and the cheese sauce was decadent, but not too rich. An absolute must go to place if you're in the area.

Our food was delicious!! I will definitely be back. The staff were not overly friendly, but our orders were correct and the food came out pretty quickly. The chips and salsa was very good and so was my margarita. I had the shrimp enchiladas and there was a lot of shrimp. The sauce was great and the guacamole was excellent. My friend had the fajitas. I tried a little bite and it was also very good. I’m a little sad I hadn’t eaten here sooner.

Food is hit or miss some days. I ordered the chicken nachos one visit, and he came back and asked if I just wanted the nachos with chicken and cheese or with lettuce, sour cream and the like. I said with lettuce and the like. I only got chicken and cheese when it came out lol. I said it was fine since I also ordered a side of guacamole. The menu for nachos is a bit confusing, I still don’t know the difference between the 3. But I wish they had the loaded nacho option

Our party of 8 went here on 5/6/23 and my daughter ordered steak tacos and they didn't bring hers out after everyone got their food, and when they came back to the table we told them they forgot her tacos they went back and then they came back again with no tacos and we asked again. 20 minutes after everyone was done we finally told then to take it off the bill. They asked how everything was I said bad when we were paying and there no comment after that.
