Tried this place tonight and it was very good. It’s a nice sit down Mexican restaurant that has your typical menu plus some new items I hadn’t heard of yet.

I had the taco plate, carna asada and al pastor and both were very yummy. Rice and beans were good as well.

This place literally has the best green enchiladas and rice I’ve ever had. I usually get take out, but the few times I’ve eaten in, the staff has been extremely nice and friendly. The wait for food is usually short.

This place has a weird situation where they don't ever seem to be busy, but the food is actually pretty good, the building has a lot of space with a full bar, and the place is furnished well. The location seems okay, but North Madison sort of sucks if we're being real here.

The food leans more toward authentic Mexican cuisine and while it's done mostly well, just like the rest of Madison or the Midwest in general, it's the same old standard menu with nothing exciting or new on it. The chips and salsa are some of the best in Madison, but you only get one round complimentary and the price afterward is too high. No bueno.

I love getting the buffet, but either no one knows about it, or no one else likes it, because I'm usually the only one ever getting it while I'm there. That's always a bummer, because then what's out there doesn't change or get refreshed often. It's not mentioned anywhere on the menu, or not clearly at least, and the buffet itself is hiding behind a half wall, so maybe we advertise it a little more, please.

Visitamos el restaurant este fin de semana fui yo mi esposa y dos de mis hijos la comida realmente está buena tiene buen sazón mi hija pidió fajitas combinadas la carne era muy suave mi hijo tacos de asada también no hay que discutir estaban buenos mi Esposa pidió una torta de asada se la prepararon tal como ella la pidió con los condimentos que ella pidió eso estuvo muy bien ella es alérgica ciertas cosas se la hicieron como ella lo pidió yo pedí un plato de carne asada la disfrutamos mucho la comida la la joven que nos atendió fue muy amable estuvo al pendiente todo el tiempo también tienen un buffet tienen variedad de guisados está muy bien es algo totalmente diferente un restaurant que también tiene su propio buffet tenían al parecer de ocho a diez diferentes guisados por $19 está muy bien y pues realmente fue un rato muy agradable tienen una extensa variedad de comida realmente lo recomiendo el restaurant es bastante grande las mesas lo mejor son grandes cabe perfectamente bien toda tu comida así que tengas que estar batallando con tus platos así que si quieren pasar un buen rato realmente lo recomiendo los precios son muy accesibles..

We love this restaurant! We live on the North side and appreciate this local dining experience. Please come try this restaurant with authentic Mexican cuisine. We want it to succeed.
The food is delicious and not the typical americanized Mexican food you'd often find in Northern USA. We had a fantastic waiter tonight named Alejandro. He had a great personality and was very friendly, especially to the person celebrating a birthday. He brought him a drink on the house!
Everyone at our table ate different things and all of us enjoyed our meals.
I personally appreciate the seating. There are some pretty tables by the windows. We sat in a cushioned booth for a larger party. I have chronic pain issues, and even with a cushion, wooden chairs are the bane of my existence. We love a comfy booth.
They have a nice drink selection and always have interesting specials. Check it out!

Cute atmosphere, friendly staff, authentic music. First basket of chips and salsa was free. Fajitas were good- meat was nicely flavored but would have preferred the veggies to be more cooked, and would have preferred a much larger dollop of sour cream. Gluten-Free tortilla chips not available, as the fryer they use for the chips is also used for gluten containing items (cross contamination). Husband enjoyed his mole burrito, said it's in the top three he's ever tried. Paid by credit card via waiter right at the table. Quick service. Will return.

First time: ordered for carry out. They were very friendly and patient on the phone. Ordered the enmoladas con pollo, steak fajitas, kids tamale meal and kids chicken taco meal. Also ordered a huarache with Cecina. Everyone was very happy with the food. My favorite was the huarache! The mole was great too. The difference is subtle, but you can tell that they make a lot of things from scratch like the refried beans, the rice, and of course the mole! Yum! Check it out and keep this restaurant going on the north side. 🤗

We met up with some friends for a birthday celebration. I ordered the tamales combo, but received 2 tamales instead. They were very tasty. Everyone else's meals looked like very generous portions.
The chips, salsa and guacamole were pretty tasty. We had to ask for more chips. We also were not asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for water when we placed our meal orders.
Our friend got a large piece of flan as his birthday present. It was a nice touch.

This was the worst “Mexican” food we have ever eaten. It was my first time tasting stale rice. The chips were stale the rice tasted off like a weird stale taste. The “steak” in our dishes tasted like it was starting to spoil. It was pricey for the amount of food we got, and the food was just yucky. Highly disappointed! - oh and there was a dead bug in the salt shaker

Food was great. We had the tlacoyo, bistec asado, and enmolados. The enmolados stole the show and were excellent. Service was attentive and quick. They did have a drink menu which was a happy surprise since we didn't see one online. The lighting was a bit harsh, but bearable for a good meal.

In a word, disappointing. As other people have pointed out, you have to pay for any extra salsa and chips. The salsa was good and had a little spice to it. The chips appeared to not be homemade, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but is something that other places have and gives them a leg up. I like chips out of a bag at home but would like fresh at a restaurant. We ordered queso for the chips and, unfortunately the consistency had more in common with milk than the queso we are familiar with. It also was $10. We both got a chimichanga. The tortilla was nice and crispy, but inside was at least 70% and maybe 10% actual meat. Most of my bites were just tortilla and rice. Nothing was inherently bad, aside from the queso, but the portions of the ingredients left a lot to be desired. We will give it another shot in a few months and hope that some improvements have been made. We'd rather pay a bit more for a more satisfying meal than to have the impression that the meal was designed to cut down on cost as much as possible. We would love to have a great Mexican food place close to home, but if things are the same, we'd rather take the drive to another place.

What a warm welcome. Plenty of staff willing to help. Enmoladas con Queso was good. Mole could have had a little more flavor. Quesadilla Combo was ok, super thin. Side on beans and rices are well flavored and delicious...same goes for the guacamole with chip. Super good and HUGE. Only thing negative was it is really bright in here. We will be back to try the tamales 🫔 and tacos 🌮.

Was very excited to have more food options on the North side, yes I know Habaneros and Patricia's are close, but when I heard buffet! I had to check it out, it was during the week, so maybe the weekend buffet would look more appetizing. $6.00 for chips and salsa was a lil shocking but we had to try them out. I thought my steak would have been thicker but... Anyway I will try again.

Didn't know what to expect coming here for the first time, but my expectations were exceeded and then some.

Really friendly and helpful service, a beautiful interior space, and a really focused and well-executed menu. I had the chicken taco salad (pollo, avocado, beans, rice, lettuce, queso), which was well-balanced and savory without being overwhelmingly heavy.

Felt like the north side hasn't had a really dependable tex mex spot for a while, and food-wise this was up there with tacqueria guadalajara as some of the best I've had in Madison. Really excited to have this nearby, will definitely be returning often if the food continues to be this good
