This place still has really good food and they have birria tacos. They have a huge selection on their menu and have a huge bar if you like drinking while you eat.

Service was not good at all, asked for the price of margaritas and was given a lower price then what it was actually priced at. Beans tasted odd and the Texas fajitas barely had any shrimp and the peppers were cut too thick to even eat. They get my order wrong every time I’ve been here for pick up. This will be the last time…..my food is cold too. They are incompetent and disrespectful. When I came back in after checking my order cause they always make it wrong. One of the waitresses was smirking at me while I was telling the cashier lady that it was supposed to be American style not Mexican. We dined on 12/7 for dinner. I had the Nachos. When they were served they had cheese sauce on them. Was disappointed. Usually nachos have melted cheese. The cheese sauce looked liked it came from a bottle, and was not very tasty. My wife had the chicken fajita burrito. She commented that there was quite a bit of refried beans in it versus previous dining occasions. I have to admit it seems like the food quality has gone down. And if the fact that the restaurant was only half full is any reflection of this it seems like business is falling off. This place used to be waiting for a table on Saturday night.

I ordered doordash from here this evening. I do not recommend the shrimp cocktail from here. I asked for no onions, extra saltine crackers, and extra avocado. There were extra onions & I didn't receive valentina, any crackers, or any avocado with my order. The shrimp looked horrible like it was freezer burned & there wasn't much of it for the $17 I spent on that alone. Also, the food came without any utensils or napkins. I'm very disappointed.

My family and I came in to celebrate our family member birthday. The server was rude and had an attitude. She through me the check cause she said we was talking about her. She was cussing and being very disrespectful. They tried calling the police on us. We had our catering done here and it was fantastic. All the guests loved the food and there was barely any left. They were upfront about pricing which is unfortunately rare these days. Ordering was easy too. We were even talked out of ordering too much. The honesty was greatly appreciated.

We will come here again if the opportunity presents itself. Thank you again for taking a lot of weight off our shoulders.

Since this restaurant has sold from the previous owners the service and food has continued to decline. It took us 30 minutes from ordering to get our food but the people around us had theirs within about 10 minutes. The food is bland and lacking. Our server was MIA for a while and not very attentive.

Ordered taco salads for carry-out. This was the worst food I have ever purchased from a restaurant!! I can not put into words how disgusting the taco salads were. One salad actually looked more like soup it was so runny. A complete disappointment. When I called the manager the following morning, I was equally disappointed in her "matter of fact," alof attitude because I left a negative review. I will never eat here again. I recommend you avoid this restaurant, which has its share of 1 star reviews!

I know both the past and current family running Serape work very hard and have done so all these many years. Service is always excellent and atmosphere is simple, comfortable. Food is not fresh as compared with other local Mexican. Steak tacos had gristle too much to enjoy; however , rice and beans were flavorful. shrimp cocktail was not fresh though not to the point of fishy flavor- just toward chew instead of firm or snap fresh....also not much diced except for some avocado in the tomato\lime sauce used as the base. salsas were not fresh and lacked ingredients other than their chili-base..not much added flavors..... diet Pepsi was good, margaritas were very sweet and didn't balance well with added lime & tequila. tortilla chips served were not warm (though this is often other places as well....) and again not tasting too toward more fresher tasting chip.

We've enjoyed Serape various times over these many years. This was not one of our most enjoyable visits. The preparation and freshness during this visit was not what we've experienced here in the past. There are other local Mexican Restaurants that are currently doing a much better job in both of these ....However, we respect & wish the current family operator's the best in all of their hardworking efforts going forward....

Stopped in to place a carry out order with my daughter, who really wanted Qdoba. Now I have 3 little kids who ate more food than I've seen them eat in one sitting. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming, the staff was friendly and fast and the food.... oh my God the food. It was so good!! Tacos, taco salad, burritos, guacamole, beans and rice... it was all so delicious that even though I'm full now I'm already looking forward to the leftovers! Will definitely go back.

I ordered on line to schedule my pickup at a later time. On a few occasions the food was ready prior to my arrival, and sitting on a table near the front entrance. The food was cold on each occasion. During my last visit I asked an employee how long the food was sitting on the table. She said about ten minutes. I arrived fifteen minutes prior to the time the order was scheduled for. The food was already cold. If I arrived at the time scheduled the order would have been sitting there for half an hour. The only thing keeping it warm was Styrofoam containers. When I complained about it, an employee said " I put the order in early, because we weren't busy". I guess that justifies serving a $50.00 order cold. When I said I have received fresher food at McDonald's the employee laughed, and walked away. The restaurant makes great food, but needs to improve customer service at the front counter.

Refused to accommodate child with disabilities.

We've been frequenting this establishment for years and haven't had anything negative to say until today.

We did go on a busy day, and while my husband was running behind 10 minutes they refused to seat us until the entire party arrived. There was no one ahead of or behind us at the time. I even explained to the hostess than my son had autism and being seated would be best. She made us wait, while my son cried for the ten minutes while we waited for our third to arrive.

Buy the time we were finally seated, even though at this point we had explained to them twice that our son was special needs, he had gone into total meltdown mode. Kicking, pinching, biting, ect. All because he was hungry.

If she had just seated us ten minutes earlier, he could have munched on some chips, but instead he made a huge scene, and we ended up leaving after we had ordered drinks, which we never even got to touch.

I am very upset with the events that happened today.
We will never go there again.
