So the sign on the door said three tacos of any type with rice and beans for $10.99.

I got charged $13.99. Plus I got charged for hot sauce which, every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to comes with the tacos. They ask hot or mild, I answer hot.

By the time I got the check my $10.99 Taco dinner had ballooned to $19. Attempting to discuss this simply highlighted the language barrier.

Menu is large and the items vary from good to great and just ok. Burrito Vallarta is the standout. I feel like the specials are only honored depending on who rings me up. Card fees too. Understaffed so if it’s busy be prepared to wait. The salsa is also quite good.

I have tried this restaurant multiple times as I have lived in the city of Evansville for four years now. Each time has always been a huge disappointment with them giving me the wrong food not the right temperature undercooked food or just bad food in general. Options are limited so we keep trying but we are finally at the point we won’t ever return. Today we decided we would give it one more shot as I was feeling well and we all needed food. We ordered take out. I asked when picking up if my plate came with tortillas to my shock they didn’t. Which to me was odd as I never been anywhere that didn’t serve a plate with tortillas. I paid extra for tortillas and went on my way. Got home which the wrong order again. Decided to call this tome( first time I’ve ever called when our order has been wrong) the teenage girl that answered was extremely rude and I asked to speak to a a manager. He got on the phone and told me he would give me a $1 for the tortilla back but that was it. Well I am not driving there for a dollar when the guacamole is nasty. We can’t eat the plate without tortillas. He then told me to shut up and spoke about my mother whom he doesn’t know but definitely struck a nerve with me.
Other items we have ordered there we have had the chicken salad which was hot melted cheese and hot chicken over a thin bed of shredded brown lettuce.
My daughter ordered tacos with soft corn tortillas and has gotten flour and hard tortilla instead. These people there clearly do not care about the food they are serving especially when it’s take out. I’m upset I didn’t put this on my card to dispute it with my credit card company as I paid cash. This is something I try to do often for small business but learned my lesson now.

Rude service and terrible business. I placed an order for 3 taco carne asada that’s advertised to come with beans and pico, after picking up when I got home I only had tacos and 5 pans of rice. I called them assuming it was a mistake and when I asked the girl about the beans and pico she said “ you didn’t order that” I asked if the menu states the taco carne asada comes with beans and pico and she rudely said “ well, yeah” so I asked why I didn’t receive it and she snapped at me saying” we’re busy and we’re out of beans and pico” so I asked why did she not tell me that when I ordered, charged me full price for the dishes and only gave me half of what I ordered and she hung up on me. Definitely a business with no morals to charge people full price for a dish knowing they don’t have it and just giving rice to justify their actions. I basically paid 63 bucks for 5 pans of rice and one pan had a hair it 😭

I ordered a large carne asada burrito. It’s literally ground beef in a normal tortilla with cheese sauce for 11$. The tacos are “American tacos” and I wouldn’t even say they’re good American tacos. There’s no vegetables. The enchiladas aren’t made normal (just ground beef on a tortilla with red sauce) very odd. The food is nothing to what I would expect. We got one soda, one “large” burrito, a “combo” meal that was one hard shell taco, beans and two “enchiladas” for 30$.

Place is overrated. I really hoped this place would be good but it did not live up to my expectations at all. I normally love going out to eat Mexican food but this place ruined my night. Where do I start… the tortilla on the quesadilla was hard. Some of the chips were not cooked all the way and flimsy, the salsa was watered down... don’t even get me started on the staff. Ive never had a bad experience with Mexican restaurants staff up until i went here. My wife ordered a margarita and she was ID’d and the man brought it out to her. 5 minutes later he comes back to serve our quesadilla, he looks at her and says, ”are you sure you’re 21 you look 15.” Excuse me sir….What?!?!? Who in the right mind says that after you already ID someone… especially after he already brought her her drink. Back to the food, the rice was dry, the tomatoes were way too soggy, and there was barely any shrimp in my burrito. Man, I really wish my experience was different but it is what it is.

Ordered food for pick up, arrived 16 minutes after ordering (15-20 minutes was the time I was told the food would be ready). Added a bottle of Coke to my order and was told she needed to grab the bottle. It was fairly busy at the time so she took some orders and took payment from a few tables, no issues there. When I arrived there was an order waiting to be picked up, which apparently was mine. Server grabbed a warm bottle of Coke that was on display amd handed me to food that has been sitting there since I arrived which was in total 8 minutes. 8 minutes to get served a warm bottle of Coke, now my food is soggy. Will not be getting food from here for awhile...
