The service was great and the restaurant looks so nice! But the food was really bad. The appetizers of tuna tartar and bread cheese was good! But the entrees were not. My husband got the filet- it was definitely not a filet cut it looked and tasted like a sirloin, and very low quality at that. Like an aldis brand meatloaf. I got the sea bass and the fish was definitely frozen, which is unfortunate because I really wanted to like it. It tasted and felt like frozen cod. For $38 it also didn’t come with a side just a squash sauce. For the price it was very low quality.

My wife and I have eaten here at least a dozen times and it’s excellent each time. It is our go to date night dinner spot once/twice a month. It’s nice to see the same servers each time, so you can tell they are treated well if they are sticking around. We’ve never had any issues with food. I however do wish there was some sort of dress code. It’s a beautiful restaurant, and we love to get dressed nice and have the whole experience, but several times we’ve been enjoying our meal and people walk in with jeans, sneakers and hoodies. The most recent time a group of dads and their kids, maybe 4 adults and 4 kids walked in, sat at the table near the bar right across from our booth and were all so loud, playing on gaming devices, then they ordered McDonald’s to be delivered to them in the restaurant! If I’m paying $200-$300 per visit I expect the atmosphere to be sophisticated. I truly believe a dress code needs to be enforced and some sort of policy on kids/outside food.

The level of disrespect I received today is unacceptable. Marina our server was extremely rude. We didn’t get greeted until 15 minutes after we sat down. She walked past us several times so I didn’t think she was our server. There were three tables that were occupied at brunch time. She was not busy enough to treat us as if we didn’t exist. I was floored when I asked her for more peppers on the side. She didn’t get them right away but Marina made it a point to put her finger in my bowl to show me that it had two peppers in my dish. Needless to say I was beyond upset that I even had to move her hand out of my dish. Food is okay but not good enough to be treated with such level of disrespect. The manager took it off the bill but failed to talk to Marina about the situation. I didn’t come for disrespect and free food. Definitely won’t be back. Beautiful dish but one employee ruined it.

I dined at this place last night, and while the food was decent, the service was a different story. There were two servers at the bar, but they seemed completely oblivious to the customers. My water and wine glasses went unrefilled, and the server appeared indifferent to our needs. The overall lack of attention was frustrating, and I definitely won’t be returning. I can understand how they managed to earn a four-star rating, but honestly, the service is truly lacking.

Price and portion was surprisingly good. The truffle, as well as the brie and prosciotto flatbreads were delicious and tremendously flavorful. Which made it a surprise when the truffle burger was lacking in comparison. The mac n cheese was superb, easily one of the best I have ever had. I look forward to trying the tomahawk steak in a future visit. Our server Emily was excellent, and did something wonderful that no other server in over thirty years of great dining has ever done. Eldr + Rime is an absolute gem for elevated dining in Wauwatosa!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and cozy — upscale yet inviting. We were seated in a semi-circular booth adorned with pillows, which added an extra level of comfort and charm to the experience.

The food was phenomenal. I ordered the hummus appetizer and a reasonably priced special that absolutely exceeded expectations. The flavors were incredible, and the quality coming out of the kitchen is top-tier. Prices are more than fair, especially considering the attention to detail and delicious execution.

I still have leftovers I can’t wait to finish after writing this — that’s how good everything was! I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend for a relaxed but refined night out.

Do NOT order the burger. Unless you fancy half an inch thick hockey puck bracketed by a pound of bread, accompanied by soggy fries and heinz ketchup. The server did not even inquire how I wanted the meat cooked. I guess on the first night of Stanley cup series the assumption is that you want teeth- breaking rubber. The bacon on the burger was also of the wooden variety-oak perhaps??? The server let me sit with an empty glass after my first beer, for the rest of the dinner. I guess this was also a sobriety appreciation night. The only saving grace was the company, but that was all me...otherwise the place was mostly empty - no wonder.

We came here for brunch over the weekend and while the food was great, I’d give the service 0 stars if I could. We waited at the hostess station for 5+ minutes waiting to be greeted. Once we were seated our waitress immediately brought us water but then took another 15-20 minutes to come back and take our orders. Once we finished our food we couldn’t find our waitress to get our check. It took us about 15+ minutes to flag her down. Then, once she dropped the check off, she disappeared again and after waiting 10 minutes we ended up getting up and asking another employee to run our card. We don’t expect our waitress to check in on us constantly throughout a meal, but having to wait over 10 minutes to pay the check when the restaurant is empty was frustrating.

Was incredibly disappointed with how my Mother was treated during her reservation for Mother's Day Brunch this past weekend. I called in her reservation a week before (I live out of town). I was given a 2p reservation and advised that service would continue through the end of brunch (3p). My mother showed up at 1:55, and most of the buffet had been returned to the kitchen. They still tried seating her and told her to "help herself". Whatever
leftover was ran through/picked over. She spoke to the manager and was given a shrug and told "I don't know what to tell you". She left
in tears. He did offer a bottle of champagne to try and alleviate the situation, but where is she supposed to find reservations on Mother's Day mid day? We chose to return this year because of the excellent service and care the year prior.
Reservations should not be offered as late at 2p if you're going to return food to the kitchen early. More should have been done by the manager to try and retain business versus just sending her away.

Went to brunch, and it was average at best. The atmosphere is pleasant and upscale- nice booths and seating. We were never assigned a waiter (though maybe 5 tables were seated...wasn't busy in the least) and the hostess was super helpful and I believe the manager actually took our order. I appreciated the folks stepping up, but it was just was a disappointing visit.

The food was average at best- steak was overcooked and tasted like char, but appreciate the staff taking it off the bill.

Might give it another try for dinner service someday, but not a huge rush.

This place was absolutely amazing! The Alaskan halibut with roasted asparagus was perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. My friends tried the crab, lamb, and duck, and every dish was beautifully prepared. The desserts were not only stunning but also a delight to eat!

The drinks were outstanding—expertly crafted and beautifully presented. My friends couldn't stop raving about how wonderful they tasted. The flaming cheese and Brussels sprouts were showstoppers, adding both flair and flavor to the meal.

If you're looking for Scandinavian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit! If you have celiac disease, I highly recommend dining here. The chef is fantastic at accommodating dietary needs, and they'll work with you to create meals that are both safe and satisfying. A huge thank you to the chef and manager who made our experience so memorable.

We live close by and decided to try this restaurant Saturday night during Wauwatosa Restaurant week. We arrived without a reservation and waited for what felt like forever to be greeted and seated. Their special was a three course meal for $55/person. The salad was very good. The entrees included in the special were a salmon dish and a 6oz filet so we ordered one of each and shared. No bread was offered with the meal. The entrees arrived and the medium filet needed to be returned as it was very rare. We finished the salmon which was good and still waited an additional 10 minutes for the filet. We thought they had forgot about us. It finally arrived with a few roasted peppers on the side. No potato or vegetable, just the filet. The cheesecake was delicious but the flourless chocolate cake was dry. It needed a nice big dollop of whipping cream or something. If it hadn’t been for the desserts, we would have left hungry after spending $170 between the 2 dinners, 2 drinks (1 of which was NA) and the tip. The atmosphere was very nice. Music wasn’t too loud. Open kitchen is interesting and our server was VERY nice hence the generous tip.

First time: Went for dinner with a large group of 10. Service was good. Apps were tasty. But main courses were basically all over done. Half of us got halibut, every fish was over cooked, and every one of us agreed...$36 each for overcooked fish. The one person who got $50 steak also gotta tough meat. We went to the host stand after closing our bar tab. We then waited 15 more minutes to be seated. Upon being seated we ordered drinks and food. We sat with empty drinks for 30 minutes after our first drink order. The food is good but very over priced. This was my first time here, and Eldr+Rime went so above and beyond to create a great dining experience. They were able to accommodate my dad and I after a hot mess at the mall left us 30 minutes late to our reservation.

Olivia was our server, and she was wonderful. She had gotten us our drinks and food quickly, even with us ordering quite a lot. She was super polite and helpful.

The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered a pound of crab legs and they were probably the best crab legs I've ever had. The seasoning was delicious and the portions were generous. It came with smashed fingerling potatoes and I'm not the biggest fan of potatoes so I gave them to my dad and he said they were amazing. My dad ordered a filet that was also stellar. We also ordered dessert and got the chocolate chip cookie. It was awesome!

Overall it's going to be my new go to for seafood and steaks. It's a stellar experience and I highly recommend it. Our meal was spectacular and the staff went so above and beyond for us. Thank you so much!

My wife and I celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary here, and we absolutely loved it! Although we arrived a little later than our reservation time, the staff was very accommodating. We had to order a bit faster, but it wasn’t an issue at all.

The food was incredible—everything tasted perfect! We enjoyed our drinks, appetizer, and entrées, all of which were top-notch. Our waiter was not only friendly but also impressively quick with the drink refills! The atmosphere inside was stunning, creating the perfect vibe for a special evening.

To top it all off, we were served a delicious flourless chocolate cake that was out of this world.

I stayed the night at the hotel and got a breakfast ticket for the restaurant. Although the menu was small, the items were all perfect. I got the breakfast tacos, and they were delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The chorizo was flavorful, and the sauce on the side added a fantastic extra touch. The breakfast tacos came with a potato chorizo scramble, avocado, pickled jalapeno, crema, and salsa. I didn’t end up using the salsa, but the crema was just enough.

Attached to Hotel. Raw bar options. Food looks overall good. We had some mixed reviews at our table with a few negatives surrounding an overcooked egg in Eggs Benedict and a medium well burger. They didnt ask how we wanted the burger so maybe that is how they just serve them.

Also, we had another person who didnt like the Pancakes as they were too onion flavored, but they were described as a bacon/onion jam so more personal preference on that one.

My Salmon Carpaccio was excellent and a fun Bloody Mary. All drinks were on point and the service was excellent including a nice check in at the end of who I assume to be the manager.

I've been here twice. The first time was great, but this second time was disappointing. Menu-wise, it's notable that the breakfast options might be a bit different than what is expected. For example, they have a stuffed french toast, a benedict, and some cinnamon rolls, but most everything else was savory and reminded me of lunch or dinner. The stuffed french toast was good. However, the service was lacking. Our server was very polite, but obviously overworked. It took a while to get the drinks we ordered. Our server stopped by with our food after about 30 minutes, but didn't have time to refill coffee or ask how our food was. I noticed that several tables needed to be bussed (and weren't) while we were there. I think they would benefit from a food runner or other assistant for the servers. The ambiance is very nice. But, for the price you are paying, the service needs to be improved in my opinion.

Tuna Tartare: 4/5. Fantastic, with wonderful wonton crisps. A generous portion of tuna, and the aioli paired well. Honestly on par with Harbor House.

Oysters: 3.5/5. Hard to judge a restaurant for these, as a lot of it is luck of the draw. Their hot sauce and mignonette were great, the oysters in stock were just a bit briny for my liking.

Short Rib Hash: 4/5. A true hearty brunch meal. Delicious short rib, perfectly crispy potatoes, and a runny egg - what else could you want after a night of too many drinks? A bit on the salty side, but who doesn’t need electrolytes after a night of drinking.

Waffles: 3/5, a bit bland, but the toppings were nice.

Overall, I’d definitely come back for the hash, tuna tartare, and their happy hour oysters (1$ each!) Our service was great!

We use to eat here a lot. I called to make reservations for my daughter’s bday. I asked if I could bring in a small fruit tart. She said they would charge me for using their knife, plates, and silverware. I told her I wouldn’t need a knife or plates. She said “but you will be using our forks correct? Love this restaurant! Upscale with a local feel as I live in a neighboring suburb (Brookfield). Its location is convenient. Reservations are always made online and we're typically seated immediately upon arrival. Perfect date night spot for a couple or group of friends. Booths are spacious and comfortable and equipped with throw pillows. Some of my favorite dishes include the lamb chops, fillet, wild asparagus and the mac n cheese. Drinks are good. Ambiance is moody, modern and calm. The wait staff is always prompt, polite and attentive. Love that this establishment is clean! Upon arrival you’re greeted by a friendly and warm staff, large sculptures and open concept designs. It’s quite inviting, with the large windows with plenty of natural lighting for selfies and food pics. We ordered the brisket burrito if I’m not mistaken and French toast. The burrito was well cooked but lacked the shot flavor I was expecting, however with hot sauce or any sauce that has a Mexican flair will do the trick. The French toast wasn’t to die for, but it wasn’t bad. The wait staff had great, very informative so it made up for the food that was just “okay”. We will be back to this restaurant. The menu was interesting with common dishes with a different twist. We had the meat and cheeseboard. It was excellent. Focaccia bread was perfect. We had dinner here tonight. It was not our first time at the restaurant. My entrée came out before our table of six got any of their food. When we asked about 20 min later if it could be taken back since noone got theirs at the table. I received the same thing heated up minutes later , with bread dropped in it; all soggy. For the apps: octopus not seasoned at all, faro salad tasted like someone mixed it with the cucumbers, etc. 4 days ago and now it's just a mushy mess that even your farm animals would refuse to eat. The salad was just sitting at the table. Did anyone ask why? How was everything? No. The waiter was inattentive, did not offer water, I had to grab water off the waitstaff's staging station, since he never really checked on us. We had to flag him down once. Otherwise , we gave up on asking for anything else, since he was too busy doing nothing. He acted the same with other tables, so at least he was consistent. For a table of 6, your bill is about $500 , without ordering anything special, but 20% tip is included, of course . I never tipped anyone less than 20% but this guy really tested me. He is lucky that 20%s are added, because he is the worse waiter ever. He never even asked if anything was fine, if anyone needed anything. He also never mentioned that meats, such as a schnitzel does not come with any sides. For steaks, yes absolutely, but a piece of fried meat? Just let us know and we order a side right away. BTW it was my birthday which we did not mention, but having such bad experience for a bday is not cool at all. Any person with a quarter of a brain, who happens to be a waitstaff would have known that the more you check on tables and offer them recommendations, drinks, etc, the most wild you would make. The reason why i even bring up the menu prices,
because 20% added to those items , this waiter figured he just has to show up to work to collect. Imagine if would have actually done his job? At a place like this, he could make some serious money, while not getting customers angry. He made us feel like we were a burden because he has to take food out to us. Even through he did not do anything else. He also repeated a menu item after me , emphasizing on pronunciation. His was wrong btw, not to mention it is rude for anymore to behave
like that. Waiter guy , you know who you are. Talk to me when you speak 8 languages. In the meantime , spend some of that 20% on a dictionary. Kitchen expediter, I saw you handing back the same reheated plate. I hope you are content with yourselves. Food and beverage manager, don't bother replying to my post as you did to other reviews stating that customers experience is important and that you hope that we will be back. We won't be back and I will keep spreading the word. In the meantime you should observe what is going on in your establishment,
train your staff, hire better people. This place really has been going down 100% since you openned. Good luck!

I came on a Friday night around happy hour and found a spot at the bar. The bartender Ethan was absolutely lovely, very attentive, and made us amazing cocktails. The food was fantastic and quick. I made reservation here for my birthday celebration and regret it . They ensured me that my party would be seated together but when we arrived they tired to seat us at separate ends of the restaurant . Then the shift manager was so distasteful to our party . She literally refused to fully accommodate us because she cared more about how her restaurant looked than making me and my party feel welcomed . So , she seat us at two separate tables. The restaurant wasn’t busy and had more than enough empty tables where we could have been seated together . The shift manager complained to me about an incident that took place the day before that had nothing to do with us and basically blamed that incident as the reason she was refusing to fully accommodate our party. But, more so she was just rude and her attitude showed she didn’t care. But, our waiters made up for her because they were nice and attentive. But, because of her poor customer service I had to give one star. But, then she said told us we would get two separate checks since we had two waiters but then at the end of the night they handed us one check. The food was good but the poor customer service overshadowed the food! Our over all experience was distasteful and left a bad taste in our mouths. I 100% regret that I booked here ! I hope your experience is better than ours !

Ambience is great, service was average. For what we paid, food was underwhelming. Apps came out after waiting 20 mins, which was just the charcuterie plate with 4 options and smoked trout dip. Entree took even longer, good thing we didn't come hungry. NY strip w chimichurri was ordered med rare. My first bite was the end piece so I thought it's normal to be overcooked a little bit. Went for middle slice and NO PINK at all. The strip came sliced, we could easily tell the entire steak was more med well. Let the server know and she took care of it right away. But even when they sent a new med rare, the quality of the meat wasn't there. Tough piece of meat and bland for $60! Go somewhere else if you want a steak that's worth it. Would only return for the space and drinks, nothing else.

We stayed here for only one night but it's such a great place. In the evening we had some drinks and the bartender was great. In the morning we had breakfast and I had a mimosa, avocado toast and the fresh berries. Honestly, the berries were my favorite because even though it's not Berry season, they were ripe and very tasty for winter! Next time we're here, we'll definitely do dinner.

We went to this restaurant on NYE @ 5 for the first time. Parking was plentiful and easy.
It's a really beautiful restaurant, with lots of comfortable banquette seating.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious! I had the oysters on the half shell and was really impressed with how fresh they were! The Salmon and Lobster Ravioli were delicious! We were impressed!
Just an excellent experience!

Went there Saturday with some friends for brunch. What a warm and welcoming atmosphere! I was greeted immediately at the hostess station and taken to my table.
Drinks were first on the list and the Bloody Mary did not disappoint! Our order was taken promptly and when our food arrived I couldn’t wait to dive in! I had the crab Benedict. Very flavorful and the fingerling potatoes were seasoned well. We didn’t leave hungry and all took home leftovers. Definitely recommend and would go back!
The door to get into the restaurant is super hard to open. If there’s anything that can be done for that, my friend thought the door was locked so he walked down to the hotel entrance. I don’t know if you can put a sign up to pull hard?

I'm in town visiting for work, staying at the Renaissance hotel. It was a super cold night out so I originally opted for GrubHub. After an hour and a half delay and still no food I decided to head down to Eldr + Rime. I'm typically not a fan of hotel restaurants so I was weary but, what a FANTASTIC experience! I was warmly greeted by Michael, a complete professional. He ran down the menu with me pointing out both popular food and drink selections. He sold me with the amazing description he gave me of the hummus platter... which is enormous btw! I asked to add chicken for a little protein , as I was treating this as my dinner entree. He spoke to the chef and all was good. Moments later, literally (super quick) my food arrived and was much better than expected. I had such a great experience at Eldr + Rime, where Michael was able to turn my frown upside down. I will absolutely be returning on my next work trip. I sat at the bar with Michael on Monday 12/18 at around 7:45/8PM

The service was pretty slow for a dead restaurant. The food was below par. The burger was 18 dollars and they used frozen burger Patties. The menu said they had grass fed burger. Definitely not true. For the price of brunch I expect some more scratch cooking. The hollandaise sauce had way to much lemon in it and was more acidic then it should have been. Maybe the kitchen staff needs to learn how to remake this basic sauce. Honestly I’m glad I ate here cause I won’t eat here again. The only reason I gave this place 3 stars was because the atmosphere was unique. Other then that easily a 2 star service/food. For the price of this brunch you can find 100 other better options in the city.

I’ve heard pretty good things about this place and was very excited to try out their brunch. I was very disappointed to say the least.

We ordered the Caramelized Brussel Sprouts, Tuna Tartare, King Crab Benedict, and Brunch Butter Burger.

The two shareable’s, the brussel sprouts and tuna tartare, we’re very good! And the reason why the food got three stars. The two main’s, the king crab benedict and brunch butter burger, were not good at all.

The King Crab Benedict was bland and less to be desired. It was priced at $25 and not worth the cost. The Brunch Butter Burger was also bland, dry, and horrible texture. They also forgot the garlic aioli and when they gave us a side of it, was the only thing that had a little flavor and made it edible.

The service was not attentive and the booth we were sat at wasn’t clean. There was crumbs and food on the seats that we cleaned ourselves. The waitress we had just finished training and still needs more. She was super friendly and kind though. Just needs more instruction and to taste ALL of the menu.

The atmosphere and decor was beautiful, no complaints there.

Usually love brunch here, but today was a fail. We arrived at 115 and went to the host station, we waited for over 5 + minutes without anyone approaching us regarding seating. There was an employee working at the counter who never bothered to look at us, and it looked like a manager was more interested in chatting with the wait staff than checking in with us. If they were at the end of their service or no longer seating anyone, they should have someone up front to communicate this information, instead of letting us stand there and be ignored before we finally walked out. I have been here 6-7 times over the past year, and the service has been great, but the complete lack of communication this time left a sour taste in my mouth.

Upon arriving the outdoor patio had broken chairs and booths.

When we received our food I had hair in my entree. Our waiter, Max, return it and brought out another. But we were never given a discount or a manager brought out to apologize.

My Bloody Mary was $20 and I’ve had better.

The scrambled eggs were literally nothing special. My poached eggs weren’t poached. They were hard in the middle. I didn’t feel like saying something a second time. Maybe I should have for the manager to actually come out to apologize and offer a comp.

Food was good, quality food but seasoning was lacking unfortunately but my mother loved her meal-she had the brunch burger and I had the short rib burrito....with that being said, I would come back. My husband and I had dinner here for our anniversary. I would like to start by saying the establishment was absolutely beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. Our waiter was quick and very attentive. The food was absolutely disgusting. I had the lamb chops which were extremely dry and unseasoned. My husband had a pork katsua sandwich. His sandwich was very dry as well. The only thing that saved our dinner was the cheese fondue and Waygu skewers. The appetizer was delicious. Even the drinks were very off putting. My best friend took me out for dinner for my birthday and we had an amazing time. It was both our first time and surely we weren’t disappointed.

They sit us right away. It was not crowded when we first got there. This was on a Tuesday night.

We ordered some cocktails, appetizer, and the menu’s special of the night. Oh boy! Everything was so tasty, carefully prepared and cooked. And yet, I don’t understand why it’s rated 3.8 stars.

This spot is unique in the fact that there is nothing else in Wisconsin like it. It is modern trendy, spacious and well decorated.
