Seriously good eats at this local gem! Their pizza crust was one of the best I’ve tried. Their staff was friendly and gave great recommendations for not only our food but places to stop by before we headed back to Chicago. We met the owner before we left and he’s doing his Grandfather Elmo proud with the care he’s putting into his product! We will definitely be back. We live down the street but had never eaten at Elmo's.

I eat a lot of pizza but living in NE Wisconsin most is traditional thin crust bar pie. So when I saw Elmo’s had artisan pizza I had to try it. Pizza was fantastic with a nice char, service was amazing. Also a good selection of craft brews. All around a five star experience, this place has a very cool vibe. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Wait time was over 30 minutes . Service was negligible. Food is just okay . No vegetarian options . & Not even 1 dip is served with the dishes ordered $12 cheese curds comes with 0 ranch . U r asked if u want Ranch but not informed that they are charged separately, neither is it mentioned the menu. During eating we asked for 1 dip which came after more than 10 minute ,when we finished the food & still was charged for it . Slow waitress, bad service. Uncomfortably loud atmosphere due to loud music. Also discriminatory . The chef chooses to serve some particular people randomly to serve the food and ask about food .

Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life!
I stopped into Elmo’s and tried their shaved steak and mushroom pizza with homemade white sauce—and I’m still thinking about it. The crust was perfectly crisp, the steak tender and flavorful, and that white sauce? Absolutely out of this world. You can tell everything is made with care and top-quality ingredients. I’ve had a lot of pizza in my day, but this one blew the rest out of the water. If you haven’t tried Elmo’s yet, do yourself a favor and go—you won’t regret it.

We are coming Monday for our week in DC. I'm trying to find a restaurant to host a dinner party of approx 16 people. I was going over the places we checked out last year. I did love the food here. As a business owner myself I am SHOCKED at the responses posted by the owner!! Instead of taking the lower feedback scores & figuring out how you can improve you are are mocking the customers & telling them not to come back. I know customers can be rude & obnoxious. None of the feedback here has been so. We were there on a Tuesday. & had horrible service. You can't use the, it's a Friday & busy excuse. Just because you're in DC don't assume you will always get customers. You just lost this one & made my decision on what restaurant to host my gathering at much easier! You've been removed from the list!! No wonder your employees have the poor attitude they have.

We arrived at 5 on a Tuesday night. There was a table with 6 people and 2 other tables that were couples. We were a party of 3. We preferred a table vs a booth, however the only table open had 2 chairs. The party of 6 had 2 tables pushed together & had taken 1 of the chairs. Our server was friendly. The food was very good. It definitely needed less arugula & more cheese & meet for $22. I live near Sheboygan, which has the most amazing Neapolitan pizza place, IL Ritrovo. I'm very familiar with this type of pizza. My biggest issue was SERVICE OR LACK OFF. Never got refills on soda. We had to ask for silverware, napkins, etc? I asked for a box & after 15 min went up to get 1. They were not busy enough for the lack of decent service.

It appears that many people are having the same issues. Since a manager/owner can't take 2 minutes to reply I won't be back. I'm looking for someplace in November for a decent size group fir lunch. It won't be here

I was lucky enough to drop in this place and let me tell you it will knock your socks off!
First, staff, chef, owners are friendly attentive and knowledgeable.
Pizza is outstanding! These guys have perfected their dough resulting in epic pizza. I had the white sauce, steak, local mushrooms with red onion. Finished with the crepes filled with amazing hand whipped cream drizzled with fresh berry coulis & whole berries.
Paired with a nice local draft beer, this is everything you could want in a neighborhood dining experience.
Hats off to these players!
Give it a go, you will not be disappointed!

We visited this place on the recommendation of the hotel clerk. We were visiting our son who is stationed there.

First thing is first. They were a tad disorganized and you could tell this was a newer establishment. The server simply didn't have much direction when it came to the tables , but the manager was doing all he could to ensure we got help.

We are from Minneapolis and we are pizza snobs. We had the honey and pepperoni pizza and I have to say that it would easily go toe to toe with any pizza joint in Minneapolis.

I believe this business will succeed and I am sure they will work out some of the kinks that goes with opening a new place. We will absolutely be back there when we visit again.

Fantastic wood fired pizza. We had a sausage pizza and really enjoyed it. They have a bunch of other specialty pizzas and traditional ingredients, but I’m a purest and like sausage. Finally a legitimate pizza in sturgeon Bay. Full of great flavor and quality ingredients.
It’s frightening what passes for pizza in this town. The Caesar salad was very nice. Great dressing. We met the owner who was making sure everyone was waited on. Convenient parking lot directly next-door to the building was also a plus.

My new favorite! We stopped in on a whim for lunch, for the first time, and were blown away by our wonderful pesto chicken pizza -- crisp and chewy crust, distinctly tasty toppings. Very friendly staff.

THEN we stopped for breakfast. The menu was limited, but versatile; again amazed by the selections and ingredients you don't find at many other breakfast places -- crepes, burritos, choice of egg Benedicts. Duck eggs anyone?

Friends recommended Elmo's and we went as a foursome. My wife and I ordered the arugula pizza, which was quite tasty. Our friends ordered a garden pizza with pepperoni. It looked really appealing, so the next time, we ordered that and it knocked our socks off. Servers are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is very nice. The server told us that they have music on Thursday nights, but when we went to check it out, there wasn't any. In any case, this is a terrific addition to Sturgeon Bay. And now they are serving breakfast!

I could not have imagined a cozier place to be on a frigid evening. The decor is delightful, inspired. And the food was all we had hoped, every ingredient curated for maximum impact. I love brick oven pizza and was hoping for a good one as I had yet to try Elmo's. The crust was soft and I was hoping for a crispier one with a bit of char to it like I normally see from a brick oven. I couldn't seem to taste or see the red onion and the goat cheese was very light. I took off a good portion of the arugula on top as well.

I loved the atmosphere and sitting at the bar was very relaxing. The service was great and I even spoke to the owners about some thoughts I had about the pizza. Everyone there was pleasant to talk to.

The only other thing is the price point. For one pizza, one draft beer, and the tip I spent $40. Unfortunately I can't really justify $40 for a pizza and a beer for one person.

I'd like to try it again someday, maybe some things will change as I think they could have a great thing going if they addressed a couple issues.

During our 1st visit two weeks ago we experienced totally incompetent service, but the food was good, so we decided to give them a 2nd chance. Service was terrible this time as well. I won't be back.

I have lived in Door County for over 20 years, sir. My family and I are accustomed to long wait times for food, especially during tourist season.
It wasn't the long wait time that was the problem last night. If you would have listened to me when I tried to talk you, you would have understood that.
We came in around 5:45 last night. Another couple followed us in and ended up sitting across from us. The restaurant was about half full at that time. Our server took our order and a different server took the other couple order. We waited.
Other couple received a salad. We had also ordered and waited for ours to come out. And waited. After about 15 minutes, I flagged down our server and asked it I could get my salad. She told me it wasn't ready yet. That the kitchen was busy. I said ok, thinking it was odd that she didn't even go check on it for us.
Also, your server never came back our table after this. We waited several more minutes, still no salad. Finally, when one of your workers came out to deliver a pizza to a nearby table, I asked him if he could get our salad. He said he would go check on it. At this point, the couple across from us who came in with us now had their pizza. At this point we had been at your restaurant for about 25 minutes. The man from the kitchen brings us our salad and says something along the lines of our "ticket is next."
While we are eating our salad, an older couple comes in and seats themselves on the opposite side. They are taken care of by the same server that took care of the couple that came in with us.
We finish our salad. The couple that came in with us are now DONE eating their pizza. We still have not received ours. No one has checked on us, either. We have now been at the restaurant for almost 45 minutes.
Then, I see the older couple that came in when we were eating our salad get their pizza.
So at this point, clearly something is wrong. The young couple that came in with us are now done eating and are leaving. The older couple that came in 20 or 25 after us have their pizza. So what happened to our pizza? DId the ticket get lost? We don't know, because no one was taking care of us.
So when I see you come out, and you are scrambling to help the two older ladies seated near us because they were not being taken care of either, I got your attention.
And you literally told me off.
I was just trying to figure out why other people were getting their pizza, but we were not.
And that line you tried to feed me about people calling it in so it would be ready when they showed up, seriously? We are literally watching and listening to your servers take their orders as they come in.
So, thanks for the salad and drinks. Not worth the wait or your attitude, but thanks.
People reading these reviews can see your responses. While you may think you are being witty with your condescension, I would like to point something out to you. During slow season in Door County, when the tourists are gone, it is the patronage of the locals that keep our restaurants afloat. And with your attitude, it won't take long for the locals to decide they will dine elsewhere.

Amazing neopolitan pizza. In town visiting my folks and saw this new place. Boy were we glad we stopped. We shared two pizzas with three of us and had almost a whole pizza to take home for the next day.

I also had an amazing pumpkin hard cider on draft.

The images of this pizza look good but in reality the dough was like white bread. No tunneling, not airy just dense. The sauce was not San Marzano tomatoes but was thick and sweet. The prosciutto was domestic and super salty. To successfully make Napolitano pizza you must use the best ingredients! This means wet yeast, 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes pureed, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto de parma (if using prosciutto). The reason I gave two stars rather than one is that the service was very friendly.

Ordered by phone…told it would be ready in 15 minutes…raced to the car and arrived exactly 15 minutes later…wasn’t ready, completely ignored for at least 5 minutes at the bar area, then told it would be 3 more minutes…waited another 10 and pizza was finally done…drove home and, guess what? Ordered cheese, sausage, onion, green olives, half jalapeño, opposite half mushrooms….received cheese, sausage, onion, BLACK olives, jalapeños on the WHOLE thing…if there were mushrooms, they were disguised somewhere … it was Wednesday, not a weekend…very disappointing, had read so many great reviews. What can I say about Elmo's Pizza? I haven't had a decent pizza in some time. I am so glad I got the chance to stop. I was check out places to visit while on vacation and saw Elmo's. I am defiantly going to stop back the next time I'm in the area. That Dolce Torte Pizza was to die for!!

This place sucks! Now every other pizza I eat tastes fake and cheap….. Dominoes which I used to like, now tastes like the cardboard box it comes in. To be honest I wish I never stopped here. Great place, but careful, this place could ruin all other pizza for you like it did to me.

Elmo’s fired pizza dough is chewy and crispy. Ingredients are fresh and well prepared. Nothing is heavy-handed each of the ingredients complement one another. It is simply fresh ingredients in the right proportion, cooked just right. If you do want to change it up, parmesan, hot pepper flakes and light olive oil are on the table for you. Server was friendly and personable.

Have dined here twice. The food is good but the service is shaky and slow, probably due to their newness. As long as you aren't in a hurry it's fine. My only real complaint is I ordered a glass of Rose and I'm not sure what I was served but it wasn't rose and it was the smallest pour I've ever received in a restaurant. We will try again though.

Hard to find good pizza outside Chicago but Elmo’s is the place! Very friendly owners and staff a house salad that’s loaded with a killer homemade ranch dressing. The pizza is excellent just enough of the ingredients to make it a worthwhile pie to get when your in town!

Waited 10-15 minutes and although at least 4 staff walked past us(we were right across from the bar and close to the kitchen) several times, not one person even acknowledged we were there. They were not busy! No one offered us menu’s at all and when we finally walked out they did not even say a word to us!! Horrible service!!

Excellent Neapolitan wood fire pizza. Acolade to the atmosphere is Fun boutique clean style. Perfect place for a date night. Will definetly return. Could use a little more seasoning but well executed. Nice pizza style breadsticks could use a larger serving of sauce or a garlic butter sauce. New mainstay restaurant people need to experience !

Tried this cozy new offering in Sturgeon Bay. The place has great potential. The house salad was great and I felt a good value. Got the Piggy in the Pasture pizza. The crust was amazing and Elmo’s is really on to something with this base. But there was an abundance of arugula but far too little meat and cheese. I realized Neapolitan pizza is light on toppings, but this was not worth $22. I wouldn’t have minded if this was a $15 pizza. The flavor was good. But the prosciutto was the size of one postage stamp per piece. Very little cheese. It felt like salad on a crust. I will definitely try again but probably order a pizza that focuses on the meat. I hope this place works out the kinks and pricing. It think it can be great!

Proper Neapolitan pizza! Absolutely delicious! I wish I could bring this restaurant home with me to Florida! Locals may not understand this pizza as it is NOT the rubbery, stringy cheese and sauce laden discs that most restaurants in WI serve. This is a pie that deserves some respect. :)
It’s made in a proper pizza oven that is known for the char that it creates on the crust and the bottom of the pie. It’s NOT burned! It’s properly cooked in an oven with fire.
The pizza crust is thin but has enough body to hold the toppings and has a touch of char on the crust from the wood fire oven, which tastes great and looks amazing. Sauce is flavorful with a touch of tang and just the right amount on the pie. I saw a salad go by that looked really good, which I will try next time. If I lived here this would be a weekly visit. I know they recently opened, and I wish them all the best.
I will be back for another pie before I go home, and return on my annual visit. Yay! Elmo’s, plz don’t leave, but if you do, come to Jupiter, FL… we need you!

Keep in mind this is a brand new spot that has only been open for about two weeks so they are probably ironing out the kinks. I would have given the food 5 stars but the pizza was burnt and black underneath, it has a ton of potential, though. Ceaser salad was great and their homemade dill ranch dressing was awesome. When we arrived about 7 tables were dirty and only 1 table and the bar were available. The service team was nice but they're young and were behind when we arrived. The server asked my wife if she wanted another glass of wine but took her quarter filled glass to refill instead of getting her another full glass so we felt like we were over charged. All and all we want to go back but need a better experience and for the pizza not to be burnt.

Yesterday, we decided to try out a new local pizza place and it was SOOO good!! 😍

Nothing wrong with having more of a chill dinner with their “Fat Tony & SidePork” special with a Wisconsin classic cheese curds but what took this space up a knotch was the wood fire style cooking and the art displayed within it!! 🧀🍕🥤

Food was overpriced and mediocre, we were ignored for half an hour upon arriving, weren’t given our drinks, and it took an entire extra hour to get one pizza and a plate of fries. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
