For many years my wife and I would frequent Elsa's for dessert--mainly their delicious cheesecake. They bring it in from NYC and it's amazing. At some point the vibe at Elsa's changed and we stopped going. Tonight after a wonderful meal at Room Service in Bay View we decided to give Elsa's another try. As we approached Elsa's the building was as beautiful as we remembered. The host greeted and seated us promptly. So far so good. I'd guess about 1/3 of the tables were occupied. We sat ignored while the staff cleared tables nobody was waiting for. About 8 mins in our server dropped off menus and with no eye contact muttered "I'll be back". We placed our order and, as before the cheesecakes were delicious. Our server disappeared for some time. When we finally saw him again we asked for water, which he didn't bring. At this point there are maybe 6 tables occupied and 2 servers on the floor. He brought the bill and I was not surprised to see a 20% gratuity included. That explains perfectly the lax service. I told the server I wasn't paying the service fee. "You have to" he said. I told him I'd explain to the manager if needed. He sent someone out from the kitchen (frankly I thought the host was the manager but he spent our entire visit sitting at the bar with his back to the tables). I ended up shorting them about $3 so it wasn't the money; it was the hubris of providing a substandard experience with the expectation of a 20% tip. When Karl Kopp was on the floor this would never have been acceptable.
FWIW, we tipped 25% on a much larger bill at Room Service, so I have no problem tipping for a good experience.
Elsa's looks great, the food still tastes great, but unfortunately the service we received will put Elsa's in the nostalgia file for us. Once great but great no more.

Horrible I ordered a lemon drop martini the bartender made the drink bitter bitter u can't use cheap lemon juice for this particular martini he diid give me a glass of water but the water had a gnat in it disgusting the gratuity is a joke usually the drink is 14.00 maybe 16.00 bucks I paid 20.81 I gave the bartender 21.00 bucks if u ask me "do u need need change" I will say no. But if u take upon yourself to keep the change now I want my change back he was rude and threw my dollar across the bar I will never return don't get me wrong I don't mind tipping but if the service is horrible u don't get to keep my change and u get NO tip elsa was a nice place to have a quick bite to eat and a drink but my recent visit put a bad taste n my mouth hence the drink bitter and the gnat n the water good luck Elsa people need to know how you will be treated and the cleanliness of the establishment and I here to report EVERYTHING

Classy place but with room to improve. Great 20 dollar cocktails and wonderful liquor sellection, but their touted cheeseburger was just so-so. Too little cheese to really taste it, and the hamburger meat lacked flavor. Great location on cathedral square.

What a disappointing experience. The food was fairly decent. The atmosphere was nice. The service couldn’t have been more lacking. The maître d’ seated us and then stood at the bar the entire night never returning to our table or any other table to say hello or ask about the food or how our dining experience was going. He seemed extraordinarily disinterested. Rather odd to watch him stand at the bar the entire night. Our waitress was also subpar. She disappeared for long periods of time, was semi- friendly, never asked if we were happy or enjoying the food and never came back for additional drink orders or anything of that nature. They tacked on a 20% tip for our table of four which was completely unjustified. I like to tip when I get good service and have no problem with tipping but having it tacked on when the service was so lacking was just frustrating. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Always wanted to stop here since I'm a big Kopps fan. Did not disappoint especially since me and my girlfriend, as she put it, were "those people". The last minute food ordering kind. We had just finished a concert and we're starving. That considered we arrived minutes before the kitchen closed and ordered some burgers. No fuss or attitude and our bartender and server were attentive and kind. The atmosphere was cozy and the decor was kind of wild. I got the Elsa bistro burger and my gf got the Spinach feta burger. Both were delicious with a side of tasty fries. Highly recommend giving it a try. Will definitely return at a more reasonable time in the future!

So happy they brought back most of the old menu items! I ordered the cheeseburger for take out tonight and even being about 10 minutes late to pick up, it was still warm and perfectly cooked. Elsas has the BEST burger in the city and I was so sad when it was removed, but it's back and just as good as the last 11 years I've enjoyed them. Great service as always too!

My last visit to this restaurant was over 25 years ago, so during our recent visit to Milwaukee it was a delight to find it again. The bacon wrapped water chestnuts were delicious, but our burgers were so freaking goooood!! The best part though, our waiter Jack. He was so fun and had this full out belly laugh that was contagious. Great food, fun service, we really enjoyed our walk down memory lane.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. I came with my sister who lives out of state. It’s her fave restaurant. Our server Steve was phenomenal! My sister’s favorite item isn’t on the menu anymore and Steve asked what it was and said that they could still make it so she got what she was wanting. I couldn’t decide between the grilled cheese and the Caesar salad salad so I asked if I could substitute fries for a side of a Caesar salad. Steve told me that wasn’t allowed, and that he could only do a regular side salad with either ranch, cheese, or balsamic. But then magically when my food came out, it was with a side Caesar salad. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is fun.

The issue here is not the food. It’s good. Not great just good Really only worth 2.5 stars. Definitely not something I would ever come back for The service was very good the atmosphere is what is it. Upscale. The issue is the prices. They are laughable. Please make sure you consult your financial investor before coming here. It almost a joke. I guess that’s why there were so few people here on a Saturday evening So many other places in Milwaukee to go to that has much better food than this. Now if you want to simply pay for the atmosphere and have a nice chat with a bartender or waiter Then this is your place If it not and you are looking for something of quality in your meal I suggest you go on down the road Elsa’s is an overrated establishment and not worthy of its prices in what you get back. Don’t believe. Dine at your own financial risk

***Updated review
Menu is completely different - everything I went there for is gone. No, nachos, wings, hells fries, just broccoli....no more 😥
Tipping is automatically added to every check, so be aware - not a huge fan of getting automatic gratuity on check but there must be some reason for it.
Still a cool spot but just disappointed that all of the funenu items are gone 😐

So I never really write reviews. But this place was so AMAZING I actually feel obligated to. Garrett our bar tender was absolutely amazing, super cool, nice, and an incredible mixologist. The Brussel sprouts were the best we ever had for only 7$!!! Amazing. I also had the best pork sandwich I’ve ever had and we got a rainbow trout that was to die for. Seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life and it is a MUST visit if you ever come to Milwaukee.

Seems that they changed their menu to appeal to a certain demographic. Previously I had given them 5 stars for consistent quality of food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. But now they have a much more limited menu and just about every option I would have selected before is gone. I decided to go with the Schnitzel this last visit since it was new and about the only thing that sounded decent to me, and overall it was disappointing. Service and atmosphere are still nice. Hopefully they make some improvements to their menu because the drinks are about the only thing worth visiting for now.

I haven't been to Elsa's in 2 years. I've worked in the service industry from casual to fine dining- now at one of the best restaurants in Milwaukee.

Us servers used to frequent Elsa's back in the day but I have to say that the new place is really subpar.

We went in on a Thursday at 5 pm and we were the only table. Makes sense, it's early and I'm sure it gets busier later.

However, the food was uninspired and bland. I wasn't too hungry when I came in and ordered the chicken ceaser salad and let me tell you how awful it was! Enemic, cubed chicken, lame croutons (the kind you get at the grocery store when you buy a prepackaged salad with the dressing and croutons in separate bags) and generic Romain lettuce.

I LOVE a spicy margarita and this one was so boring and not spicy at all. My guy had the whiskey sour and that was definitely better than my drink.
As someone who has worked in the industry for 25 years plus I was very sad that Elsa's has gone down the tube so much.
With all the options in Milwaukee we will probably not come here again. Which, I hate to say because I used to love coming here for those amazing nachos!

Elsa's OTP used to be my place back about 15 years ago, then the vibe started to change & it was no longer on my list of places. Let me tell you, Elsa's & the city's BEST cosmo is BACK! Our server was a friendly & nice gal with excellent recommendations. She was attentive & definitely made our party feel genuinely welcomed. The meatball sliders were a hit, our shared pizza with a pistachio pesto was excellent, as was my pork chop salad with apples, glazed walnuts, black olives, & a host of other toppings. Another in our party had the porkchop sandwich, which had the same ingredients as my pizza & he gave it kudos, as well. Our other friend had the Smash Burger served with thick steakhouse French fries, which he really enjoyed. We will definitely be back! The Golden Gate cake & Strawberry Shortcake finished us off. I particularly enjoyed the Golden Gate Cak!

It is often said that all good things ultimately come to an end. Elsa's, which was once highly regarded, has regrettably transformed into a significant disappointment. The recent revisions to the menu offer selections that are, at best, subpar. While it is understandable that the management seeks to target a specific clientele, which I can appreciate. However, this approach diminishes the incentive for us other patrons to invest their hard-earned money in a dining experience characterized by mediocre offerings. The strategy employed in the menu change appears misguided; a more effective approach might have been the simple removal of items such as wings, nachos, and Hennessy, which would have met their objectives. The shift has been rather abrupt, transitioning from one extreme to another. Unless the establishment reintegrates some of its previously favored menu items, I foresee potential challenges in staying in business. Patrons should be cautious when choosing to invest time and money into the newly configured Elsa's because there are much better options in the downtown area. Tonight my dinner guests and I had our Saturday night ruined compliments of Elsa's.

This place used to have one of the best burgers in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, they have a new menu and this burger no longer exists. I thought one of the burgers on the new menu might be comparable, but to no avail. It tasted like I was eating straight BBQ sauce on a bun. Why they would think it’s a good idea to completely soak a burger in BBQ sauce is beyond me. A good burger doesn’t need much, if any sauce. It doesn’t help that they also raised their prices about 30-40%. I will not be going back any time soon.

Booo to the new menu! I haven’t been to Elsa’s in a while so when some friends wanted to go for dinner I recommended Elsa’s with the mindset of ordering the delicious Big Mac burger they had. To my huge disappointment upon arrival, they changed their entire menu. No more Big Mac burger, no more wings, no more pork chop. Might as well just change the name of the restaurant since I feel like this isn’t even Elsa’s anymore. I opted for a different burger and was left underwhelmed. My friends weren’t thrilled with their food choices either. I can’t say I’d come back again knowing what it once was.

We used to visit Elsa's regularly after getting my hair done, or after a doctor's appointment or shopping, before concerts or sports events. Loved the unique upscale pub setting and the great variety of food.
Alas, the Elsa's we knew is no more. Worst menu replacement item I've ever seen: some apps, three entree selections which include two very similar burgers. No more broccoli or wings or the wide array of burgers. Not open for lunch so no more chili, which was some of the best chili in town.
And the entire vibe is just off now. Used to be upbeat and artsy and hustling. Now it's just depressing.
Lots of other restaurants in the area, so maybe when this revised version of Elsa's goes under, someone else can lease it and bring back the old Elsa's.

As a 59 yo woman who's been going to Elsa's since my early 20's (yes, I'm am older girl), I can't express my shock and disappointment that the MAGIC from this once iconic restaurant is now GONE. I visited a few weeks ago and the NEW menu is also a SHADOW of it's former self, even featuring "pizza," which was just "meh." This used to be the crown jewel and BEST darn burger joint in all of Milwaukee! What happened??? Who is making these catastrophic changes? Now, there's only a choice of TWO burgers and schnitzel sandwich. What??? Not even a Las Brisas burger? No more appetizers such as the mouth watering chicken wings, delectable waffle fries, water chestnuts or delicious nachos. There's not even any art on the walls, which used to give the place a very sleek and elegant vibe! Then, to add insult to injury, there's an automatic gratuity that's slapped on the bill to further sully the experience even though our service was HORRIBLE and our burgers were overcooked, all served on grade school cafeteria plates. And, it wasn't even busy. So to end, who's ever rebranding made a BIG MISTAKE. Please rethink this and bring back what Karl Kopp created in the past, which was the GOLD STANDARD! If not, then you might as well RENAME the place so the general public understands they're not visiting the Elsa's of old. It's always been my first place to go when I fly in from the East Coast but NO MORE. I will never go back. It's truly the end of an era.

Elsa’s has got to be one of MKE’s best hidden gems! This place has become my family’s go-to for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, or anything worth celebrating! Elsa’s has some of the best drinks I’ve ever had, with something for everyone’s taste and their burgers are TO DIE FOR. Not to mention the trendy yet classy vibe in the restaurant, which is also in one of Milwaukee’s best neighborhoods for nightlife! What used to be a staple for my family and friends and out of towners has become garbage. It’s crazy to me that they took their wings off their menu, but doesn’t surprise me due to their motive of excluding certain demographics from coming. What used to be a fun, diverse, delicious place to eat and drank has turned into a monotonous, sad place. I was really disappointed going here since the rebrand and will not be coming back anymore. After 15 years coming here I will find a better alternative. Nice job screwing up something that worked well.

I was just there this past Saturday, the new menu is not good. Why would you remove food off of the menu that 80% of your customers order? One big thing was the wings! We just tried a couple of appetizers, the Spinach and Artichoke dip (had better!) and then the peppers (that was just ok). I get changing the menu but why not keep the items that sold on the old menu with the new items to try! I saw what the pizza looks like and MAYBE I would try that, but to me getting a really great pizza, would not be Elsa's it would be at Fixture Pub Pizza. I suggest bringing back some of the old items from the prior menu.

Elsa’s was always on my list for a night out or when entertaining friends from out of town. For so many years, they were reliably some of the best burgers, salads, and apps in the city. Elsa’s, what did you do to yourself? I’ve been coming here for years. I love your big sloppy burgers and cocktails. You’ve been closed for months and then present this new menu. You got rid of all the things we love about you. It’s pretty dull, but I decided to give it a try. I had the Milanese sandwich. Not good. It was dry and pretty tasteless. No more fruit and veg on the side. No art installation on the walls. Less than half the tables were full on what should be a busy Friday night. The diverse clientele isn’t so diverse anymore. Overall, the food was sub par and the vibe that made Elsa’s special is missing. I’ll try it again in a couple months maybe, but for now I’m on the hunt for someplace new. (Bring back the Bigger Mac!)

Edit: It is now the next day. I spent one of the most painful nights of my life, dealing with what I can only assume is food poisoning after eating that sandwich. Next time I want a chicken sandwich, I’ll go to Kwik Trip.

The new menu is not even close to the old menu. A complete disappointment. No nachos, no pork chop sandwiches, limited selection of other sandwiches, and only two types of burgers, one of which is a Kopps burger. Why would I go to Elsa's for a Kopp's burger? The new menu, new atmosphere, is a hollow shell of its former self. I went back for the first time since the reopening tonight. It's a Friday night, and normally it's packed but now they could barely fill the front half of the restaurant.

They removed the large chandeliers, took all of the pictures off the wall. The music used to be pop music, now it's elevator music.

Worst of all, they gutted the menu. The best burger in town is from Elsas, and luckily the burger is still the same. But most of the cheeses and toppings you used to be able to choose from are gone. And they are offering a kopps burger? If I wanted a kopps burger I'd just go to kopps.

Instead of the burger menu, they replaced it with very unappetizing pizzas. They are expensive and small.

But most of all I just miss the nachos.

Why would a restaurant remove the things they do well, for flatbread pizza instead? And also ruin the atmosphere and vibe of the original place. Now I fear they will never be the same, as I'm sure it was a large investment to be down for half a year and retool the whole kitchen.

I miss the old elsas

The "new" Elsa's is, unfortunately, a huge disappointment.

Service remains top-notch as usual (10/10), but the revamped menu and food quality are shockingly bad.

As longtime patrons of Elsa's on the Park—over a decade of visits—this was once one of our favorite spots. Not anymore.

We wanted to give the new menu a fair shot but were let down at every turn. The spinach artichoke dip tasted like something from Applebee's, served with stale tortilla chips. My friend ordered the Caesar salad, which looked like it came from a gas station: cold, ungrilled chicken drenched in sauce. She couldn’t finish half of it. I had the bistro sandwich—a mediocre burger at best, nowhere near the Elsa's quality we’ve come to expect. Even the signature dipping sauces like ranch and blue cheese were gone.

We also ordered two pizzas, both of which were "wet" and unpleasant. On top of that, two out of four of us ended up with stomach aches afterward.

For the prices—$20 for a drink and another $20 for a burger—this experience felt like dining at a dive bar, not the beloved Elsa’s we’ve supported for years. It’s obvious that Karl is no longer in charge, as the quality and attention to detail have drastically declined.

A note to management: If you’re going to change the menu this drastically, you might as well rebrand as a completely different restaurant. This isn’t Elsa’s on the Park anymore. Bring back the old menu and the standards that made this place iconic before you lose your loyal customer base entirely. Milwaukee loved the original Elsa's—what we don’t need is another subpar restaurant.

Think and Wonder,
Wonder and Think.
How changing the menu
could actually stink.
The wings that we loved,
with sauce oh-so-right,
Have vanished completely,
gone in the night!

We think and we wonder,
we wonder and think.
Why change all the good stuff?
It makes my heart sink!
The new menu items
just aren't the same
As those classic dishes
that brought them their fame!

For sometimes the best things
are tried and are true,
Not everything good needs
to be shiny and new!

------------------------------------------------
The new food items are disappointing. While the service remains excellent, I hope the management recognizes the negative impact of these changes before the hardworking waitstaff are affected.

I went for dinner on1-11. I was very disappointed with the food. No wings no nachos No water chestnuts. All the classic things I used to go there for are gone. I really don't see the point in going there again.

Elsa's has always been my go-to for a reservation free date night that's delicious and fun. Put your name in with the host, and go grab a drink at Taylors while you wait for a table.

When I arrived last night, the restaurant was empty, the chandeliers were gone, and the overall decor was gutted. There was no wait, I was promptly seated, and I realized the menu was completely different.

Martinis aren't listed on the menu but the same drinks still exist if you order them. We were able to order the classic Elsas Lemon Drop. Wings are gone, the bigger Mac is gone, the civiche is gone, and they only have 3 main dishes (2 burgers and a schnitzel). Appetizers were listed on the menu that they did not have in the kitchen and they also increased the automatic gratuity to 20% over 18%.

I love Elsa's and I'll give them another chance, but this rebrand is very confusing and is obviously not working well. I'm just going to say it: Elsa's is trying to rebrand their restaurant for White People. The demographic of people in the restaurant is completely different now and the soul was literally sucked out of the place. Unfortunately this blatant racism may have scarred this business beyond repair because many customers will not be as forgiving as me and never return.

Truthfully, Elsa's should get on top of this and apologize to the community. People aren't stupid, they know what you're doing.

I’m a longtime fan of Elsa’s and came in recently to try the new menu. While I’ll miss some of the old items, the new menu is just as good and I’m excited to come back and try more. The pizzas are delicious and I love the addition of the Kopp’s items!

Hoping other longtime Elsa’s fans give it a shot!

10/10! Elsa’s new menu is giving callbacks to their sister restaurants: custard from Kopp’s and pizzas like Hanny’s in AZ. The new focus on local ingredients really shows up in the flavors of these dishes. The spinach and artichoke dip is a must-try, so so creamy and delicious! The Bianco pizza is also a standout, the flavors really blew me away for such a simple pizza!

Not the same. Clearly attempting a “rebrand” that doesn’t include the same clientele, or is to exclude an entire demographic of people. No more wings? No more martini menu? That was the whole point of going to Elsa’s. At least the customer service is still the same, still good.

I genuinely enjoy this place, though it’s unfortunate that a few bad experiences have impacted its reputation—it’s certainly not a reflection of the restaurant itself.

Every time I’ve visited, I’ve been impressed and completely satisfied with the food. While the service could use some improvement, I understand the challenges the staff might be facing.

The location is beautiful, with thoughtful decor that creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this spot and look forward to returning the next time I’m in Milwaukee.

I've been coming here for over 30 years (I'm 50 yo) but it's progressively gotten WORSE. It's obvious Karl Kopp no longer runs his signature jewel, Elsa's on the Park. The restaurant, itself, is beautiful but it no longer stands out as a premier burger place, regarding the food and service. The waffle fries are GONE (BIG MISTAKE) as are the silver bowls that many items used to be served in. Now, it's just a place that offers half pound burgers on white cafeteria plates with little silver cups to place the fries in, copying many other restaurants. Pedestrian and unoriginal. So, the day I went, I ordered a burger, MEDIUM, received it BLOOD RED and RARE so I sent it back for a little more fire. The exact burger! Not a new one, which totally fine. Unfortunately, it came back charred and burned, completely inedible so I showed the server. She removed it. Next, I ordered the Golden Gate cake which used to be my favorite. Unfortunately now, their desserts are plated and left in a walk-in refrigerator until they're ready to be served. So, when my dessert finally arrived to the table, it was FREEZING COLD; the plate, the cake and the butterscotch swirls that go over the cake, itself. My server said the cake is supposed to be served "cold," which was not the case in the past. Who's the drunk who thinks COLD sponge cake is appetizing??? The presentation was and IS subpar. I had to scrape the butterscotch off the plate with extra effort in order to even take a bite. So, whoever has been managing the place and making decisions, that person's directives have been a losing combination. Maybe if the newer clientele has nothing to compare it to, they will like what is being served. But, I remember the days when quality and service mattered. Karl had an eye for everything and had his eye ON everything at all times. Obviously, those days are LONG gone. HORRIBLE. I'll never go back.

Let me start with My grapefruit tini was a good drink, but That Golden Gate cake was exquisite! Customer service ended up being awful. Young man waiting on us needs to write things down as my drink was messed up twice then I watched the bartender just pour the same drink in another glass the last time & the lemon drop was overly sweet after all that. My salad was simple, but he messed that up by it having tomatoes, no bread, and wrong dressing. I tried to be nice and not make a big deal excusing the inaccuracies. But then he bills us for too many drinks and got upset when we addressed it & he tried to argue(we only had 2 a piece). After paying him almost $50 in gratuity that was pre‐added to a table of four, he ignored our calls. He didn't care what we wanted to resolve his Mistake. He angrily dropped off another drink and walked off. We stayed for another 40 minutes while he playfully chatted and took shots with 2 girls next to us, never once attending to us again. And we wanted to purchase more cake & things to go but this waiter failed to make the sales & keep customers happy. You must do better.

Looking through the windows, you would think the place was reserved for a large event. We almost decided to just go somewhere else as we thought there might not be an available table. EVERY unoccupied table has a “reserved table” sign on it.
When we walked in, a bartender greeted us from behind the bar. She told us to head to the back and someone would seat us. There is no formal hostess station.
The decor inside is unique and based on the Google pictures , they must change it up. I wish I would have taken pictures.
Our waitress was almost mysterious, having certain mannerisms and the way she readjusted the items on our table.
Then… the bathroom… the walls of the restaurant are white, and the bathroom doors are white and look like a wall panel. The letters notifying if it’s a women/ men’s bathroom is listed at the bottom of the door, so it really hides the bathroom. It’s a fun idea but bit confusing the first time trying to find it.
I got a salad which was good but had very few ingredients, was small and could VERY easily be made at home. We also shared fries, which would be enough to fit in a coffee cup. I was not prepared for the portions but it worked out well because we were in a situation we could not take left overs.

The experience was surreal.

Good food, a bit over priced (which is why I gave it a 4 star), yummy drinks, odd set up for a restaurant .

Great looks, but the place is in need of a serious deep clean. Leather arm rest at bar and chairs were grimey/sticky to the touch. Paper menus were stained & warped from spilled drinks.

I’ve been going to Elsa’s over 30 years and sadly over the past year or so, I’ve experienced a service level that gets worse and worse every time I go. Had a late lunch there today with my brother and almost walked out because we had to wait so long for our server to arrive. Turns out he had been waiting on another table just across from us. I saw him there three times and not once did he even look over and acknowledge us or say “I’ll be with you shortly”. Nothing. When he finally came to our table, we couldn’t believe he was our server, because he had outright ignored us for 15 minutes. I am a former server, and there was no call for that poor service. It was mid afternoon and the place wasn’t that busy. Once he did come over, he basically mumbled under his breath, and seemed put out that he had to wait on us. I guess when some servers know they’re going to get an 18% gratuity charged as a “service fee “on the check, they put forth minimal effort. Didn’t check on us after we got our food. I finally had to get up and ask for a to go container and the check. Such a joke.

Elsas came off as very racist on my first attempt to go. I went in and attempted to get seated by the host and was told to wait since I had a larger party. Someone who came in after I did, with a much larger party was seated more quickly. I was irritated at the point. This was already over an hour wait. The place is very small. Do not attempt to bring larger parties here! So as my party was still arriving, I had another guest attempt to be seated and they too, were acknowledged and seated before us. I was over the entire visit at this point. Then the host came outside and tries to explain after he seen we were all together. At the point, it was time to go. I refuse to spend my money where they pick and choose who to accept. That was ridiculous. Almost 2 hrs wasted and no food. We have been coming to Elsa’s every year with our family as a Christmas Tradition, and we love it. However after this year we might not be returning. There were 8 of us in our party, 6 adults and 2 kids and we were sat in the back. As soon as we got there it seems the waiters were confused about who was going to be taking care of us. We sat down right at 5 pm, ordered drinks which took maybe 20 minutes, and 2 of our drinks were made wrong. We then ordered appetizer’s which again took forever, and they ended up forgetting one of our appetizers. We then placed a dinner order, only 5 of us ordered dinner and we did not get our food until 6:30 pm. An hour and a half pretty much after ordering, which they still forgot some of the things we ordered for dinner. The waiters and waitresses we had were not that friendly, they seemed annoyed that we kept asking for things, however half of what we ordered was wrong/never showed up. We also had maybe 3-4 people serving us and they all seem confused. We then get the bill and they proceeded to charge us for the things that never showed up, and drinks that were made wrong. We have never had an experience like this before at Elsa’s, the table next to us also had an issue with their night. I’m hoping this was just a 1 time experience.

The drinks were well done with a wide selection of cocktails and wine to choose from. Something to pair with every meal, the Galette and Greens, was a great starter and definitely stole the show. Burgers were made well to order, though could have been improved upon in some of their simpler forms; though, the modular structure of the Au Poivre allows a lot of creativity on the patrons' side. Did not have room for dessert, but will definitely return. Service was attentive and quick, though the atmosphere felt a bit more tailored towards a lively night out. 1st timer! Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere, interesting location based on parking. Parking is somewhat of a hassle which for me personably would stop me from going. We were a party of 3 and spent a total of $95 for lunch! Gratuity of 18% is added and labeled as “Service charge” please pay attention to your bills. I understand businesses need to make their money and also that people are terrible at leaving tips overall that can be a little much.
For the food, I ordered a Sidecar to drink (recommended by word of mouth) 10/10! For my personal meal I ordered a pork chop sandwich without the mustard and Glad I did! I personally am not a fancy Dijon mustard person and got it on the side and for the sandwich it was too much. I ordered the pork chop well cooked with grilled onions, the bread & pork chop was cooked to perfection but my onions didn’t come grilled they came burnt but overall the sandwich minus the mustard 9/10! The garnish tbh was pathetic and not necessary. Jamison was our server and he was a cool individual. Thanks Elsa on the park glad I was able to visit!

The Teriyaki Pork Salad was not only delicious, but presented beautifully. It was a surprise with every bite. They really make it feel like a special night. I will no doubt be going back!
