Came for the view and a first time visit for a friend. Split a lobster soup and a NA Heineken. Just had to order an extra claw for $2. Warning the whole is in the soup!

Great view, great food. Only complaint is it took awhile for our chicken thighs to skewers to arrive, but the server comped it by giving a free dessert!

Other than the high noise from other patrons and close proximity to them, this was a terrific experience. We got the calamari fries and the waiter recommended a sweet thai aioli for them which was fantastic. Some of the other items we ordered were bruschetta (apple brie and fig, salmon and tomato/mozzarella) all were good, though the fig was overpowering), chicken thigh kebabs which are served with delicious potatoes on garlic aioli and guacamole. For dessert we got the cremebrulee which was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend.

Four of us had dinner here on Sunday evening. We were seated on time in a full dining room at a table with a nice view of the Capitol. They suggested 2 to 3 dishes per person. It’s already a pricey place (maybe my only negative comment and the reason I gave the food 4 stars) and that would have been too much food and really increase the bill.
We started with the cheese plate and some bruschetta. Highly recommend the “bruléed”goat cheese. Others were good. That one was delicious. Best bruschetta was the salmon. We then had the green beans flambé, the calamari fries, the Brussels sprouts and finally the pumpkin spice risotto. We loved everything except the risotto, which was too sweet and not a flavor that we liked. We ended with the chocolate fondue dessert.
Oh, we started with some very nice cocktails including the TJ Henry smoked Old-Fashioned.
Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food came promptly, was generally delicious and well-prepared.
Recommended, but expensive for what it is. Our bill with tip for 6 dishes plus one dessert was around $240 for 4 people. They suggested we order 8 to 12 dishes. The bill would have been even more!

The food and the atmosphere here are amazing but what really stood out was the service. We came on a busy Saturday night and it was clear to us that our waiter, Kristof, really cared about our dining experience and it made our meal even more amazing.

I had a fantastic experience at Eno Vino Downtown. The food quality was excellent, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is modern and vibrant, with just the right mix of energy and comfort, making it a great place for both special occasions and casual nights out.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening. From the warm welcome at the door to the helpful recommendations at the table, the service really elevated the whole experience.
Highly recommended!

Fantastic restaurant. Great view over the capitol, food and drinks are top notch. All the staff and the manager are well trained, highly motivated and friendly. We had a great evening, and it was no problem to bring our dog, everyone was very accommodating (unlike the hotel itself!).

food is alright, if expensive. in my opinion, service and location were below standard for this price range: busy waiters, average seating and table comfort, not much privacy, poor illumination. the place looks like a loud bar with better food options, but it's not an intimate location as one might think looking at the menu

Sweet Chile Calemari Fries, along with a couple of the Bruschettas! Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner we will see you next time. And again your team member Jordan is a hell of a good hand!

For a 125$ Tango for two, we got the most unenthusiastic server we saw dropped food twice and dropped my fork on my plate. The cheese board had squishy grapes. My partners chicken was so bland and the crispy smashed potatoes were not crispy. My mashed potatoes and braised short ribs were cold. Sauce was flavorful. We had a 9:45 reservation, the they were open until 1am (late night menu didnt even start until 11) but everyone felt like they were trying to push us out. Just was not worth it. Good view except my back was to the window. Maybe was an off night, but for the most expensive meal I've had in months I was disappointed. Should have just went to Cooper's Hawk.

The starters and bruschetta were significantly more flavorful than the entrees—the filet mignon was particularly unseasoned. Drinks left a bit to be desired. Wait staff were attentive and pleasant if a bit frantic—understandable as we had a large group. The view of the capital is wonderful and the atmosphere is classy if a bit loud and crowded.

This is my second visit to Eno Vino and definitely enjoyed the second time a lot more than the first , and for that reason I am posting a detailed review .
Made reservations in advance which is a must and highly recommended. The location and especially the gorgeous view of this place is what attracts so many people here . Combined with the excellent tapas styled food it’s a worthy destination.
As opposed to the previous time I was here it was less loud and noisy which I appreciated . We were greeted and taken to our table . Service was good and our server explained the menu and concept .
Cocktails are extraordinarily good . So good you cannot just have one . We got the green goddess with gin which was refreshing and the smoked J Henry old fashioned which is out of this world . Expensive cocktails , but so good . The dishes we decided on were four to go around and share .
Salad green with apples and grapes topped with prosciutto and a light vinaigrette that tied it all together . Very light and a good start . Roasted beets were well prepared and goat cheese on the side also nicely balanced and light . The pistachio& pea risotto although it looked heavy was not as rich as one would expect but had the right amount of ingredients to not make it too heavy . Really enjoyed this . Finally the chicken thigh kebabs with smashed fingerling potatoes and an avocado thick purée sauce was a good dish .
Overall the food met our expectations and the menu has great potential for tasting many different style of cooking and cuisines.
Service was good but you can’t help noticing that they are slightly understaffed . Perhaps it’s the time of year where it’s hard to get more people in to help . Despite this our server did a good job .
I will come back again for another visit later in the fall / winter

Needless to say, the view from the restaurant was incredible, especially if you dine on the patio. The food was top notch for the most part. Our server had the entire patio which definitely kept her busy. She was great. I'm not going to scold anyone for some hiccups here and there because I know how this whole thing works. I'll leave that so someone less understanding.
It was a great experience overall. You have a great thing going on here.
Cheers!

The reason for my 1 star review and not rating the food is that I unfortunately did not get a chance to try much of it. My fiance and I came in for a nice dinner date before going out to see Wicked. We were seated almost immediately for our reservations at 6, ordered drinks soon after, and then at around 6:10 ordered the Two to Tango meal. The cheese board came quickly, but that's where things stopped. Our entrees took so long that by the time we had to leave they had not yet came out, and they brought it to us after I flagged down a different waiter to pay so we wouldn't miss the show. I understand it was a very busy night, but there were tables seated after us that got apps, entrees, and out again while we were left waiting. The drinks were delicious though.

We visited Eno Vino Downtown on May 17, 2025, for a very special occasion — my brother Alfredo Perez Marenco’s engagement celebration. The place is truly beautiful, with an amazing view and a great atmosphere.
However, we were very disappointed by a serious hygiene issue. A live cockroach appeared on our table during the dinner, and my sister had to kill it with her blue water glass. It was an unpleasant surprise, especially during such an important and memorable moment for our family.
This is a lovely place, but they need to be much more careful with cleanliness and hygiene. We hope the management takes this seriously.

The atmosphere, views of the Capitol, and attentive staff make Eno Vino a known go-to spot for any reason to gather. On my Wednesday visit before a UW Badger Women's volleyball match, I saw 1st date meet-ups, business dinners/gatherings, friend group meetings, regulars, and other dinner patrons. The ambiance to have a date night...like I have many a time...is quintessential high-end Madison. I always love this place for a great time.

Eno Vino was wonderful. A very high end restaurant for being in a hotel. It has a stunning view of the capitol, and the tapas plates were delicious. Our server was very thorough, explaining the size of the plates, how it can normally be divided up amongst a table, which guided us in how many plates to order. Everything came out staggered, which allowed us to really enjoy the dining experience. Additionally, each server highlighted the ingredients of the dishes. The tacos were a favorite, but the salmon, and shwarma flatbreads were also very good.

We visited Madison for one evening. The reviews were enough to draw us into Eno Vino, seeing as we were staying at the AC hotel.
We ordered a couple of mocktails, both were delicious. We had the hanger steak (good enough, but unremarkable overall), the Chipotle honey glazed salmon, cooked to order, which was just barely cooked per my specifications, so it finished cooking to perfection with the residual heat (best dish of the evening, everything about it was just perfect), on a whim I ordered the market special, sea bass on a bed of creamed corn, corn kernels and coconut flakes (this corn part knocked it out of the park. The bass was crispy outside, although simply seared, inside it was just cooked... A bit heavy on the salt for the fish, but all together, this pairing is a winner.). We also ordered the beet salad (wow! if you like Beets, you'll love this salad with dollops of whipped goat cheese). Ordered, as well, the Chile calamari, (which came with a very chunky tomato chutney that was hard to pick up. The calamari was breaded, crispy, very perfectly cooked, but the addition of extremely salty shredded cheese and olives made for entirely too much salt).
Overall, dislike of salt extremes aside, we enjoyed our dinner and the ambiance. The server was new and very helpful, timely. The two standouts were the salmon and the corn coconut sea bass special.
5/5, would come back.

The view and our table at Eno Vino were amazing, and our server was attentive and friendly. However, the food and atmosphere fell short. The atmosphere and views are amazing. The menu is also way over the top. My experience was different than many of the reviews. I sat at the bar. Ordered a $24 9oz glass of Chardonnay. Also ordered the filet and soup as a starter. The soup came out with the steak at the same time. The bartenders both nights didn’t send the soup out first. It seemed like the kitchen ran out of salt and pepper. Everything was under seasoned. The soup was watery and needed salt and pepper. It had no flavor. The steak remarkably had no salt or pepper on jt. It was ordered medium but came out a solid mid-rare. It was a chewy steak with cartilage running through it. This was NOT a $65 steak. The steak at Texas Roadhouse is more consistently tender. The side potato was the size of 2 steak fries. (And also had no seasoning). The little piles of peas had no flavor. They’re trying too bard to justify the super high prices. Even for a hotel restaurant.

I recently hosted my wedding dinner at this restaurant and, while the food was good, the overall experience was disappointing due to significant communication issues and mismanagement.
From the beginning, arranging the event was a challenge. Despite the restaurant’s good reputation, coordination between the events team and the onsite team was frustratingly disjointed. I experienced several back-and-forth exchanges trying to confirm whether private spaces were available, only to ultimately learn that all had been booked, leaving us to settle for the public dining area.
We were assured a special seating arrangement in the corner by the window to make the most of our celebration, especially given the importance of the occasion. Unfortunately, upon arrival, our group was placed far from the windows, contrary to what was agreed. The onsite manager present that day seemed unaware of the commitments made to us, and no effort was made to rectify the situation.
For those planning a significant event, be cautious. The lack of reliable communication and failure to meet agreed-upon arrangements left much to be desired. I cannot recommend this venue under these circumstances, as the service did not meet the expectations one would have from a reputable establishment.

How can I start? I haven’t feel like there was good food around here until today, the last time I tried food like these was in Spain. I’ve tried tapas all around US but they are usually fatty or salty or unflavored or just American, but this food brought me back to Europe. I cannot recommend more the Catalonian Croquettes, the flavor is perfect, crunchy exterior, creamy interior, perfect temperature, smooth taste. It is now my favorite place not just in Madison but in the US.

Celebrated our anniversary dinner here, and it was well worth the trip downtown. Excellent views of the capital, delicious seasonal food, fantastic service (thank you Maya!), and wonderful atmosphere. (Despite the place being pretty full, it still felt intimate & romantic)
My husband has not quit talking about the salad (pear & prosciutto with a maple pumpkin vinaigrette), & already has plans to return so we can try more of their incredible food.

Very good selection of smaller / shareable plates done tapas style with a wide selection for every palate. I had a table of 7 and we were able to each order at least two different plates to share. Very good wine selection as well. And finally - the view. The state capital is all lit up at night. Here are pics from the hotel breakfast early morning.

Came here tonight to celebrate our engagement, and had an amazing time! We mentioned the reason for our visit when we made our reservation, and they gave us the perfect spot right by the windows. Service was amazing, and the atmosphere was surreal. We never usually leave reviews for places, but after getting back home tonight we knew we had to. Thanks for making our 0th anniversary so special!

Lu (Luis) was absolutely exceptional as our server and made sure we had a great experience celebrating my birthday! He was genuinely invested in our experience and was a very kind person. The food was spectacular and loved being able to try different plates. The creme brûlée is the best I’ve ever had and was exquisite with the raspberry, brownie, and vanilla combination. Pictured are the crispy lobster, chicken kebabs, and bruschetta which were the table’s favorites.

The server overcharged us by adding $10 to the tips we gave. Been contacting the restaurant for a refund, but its been frustratingly slow and disappointing. We wont be returning to this place for such unprofessional behavior.

Eno Vino was accidentally the perfect place for my evening, and I just want to tell y'all about it:
A friend I hadn't seen in a year was coming to town for work, so we planned a late dinner at a different restaurant I had never been to when last-minute I realized that restaurant closed at 8 and we needed to pivot. After nothing really sounding great, we decided to allow ourselves to splurge on the occasion and decided on Eno Vino Downtown.
My first surprise was that it was on the 10th floor of the Marriot hotel. I had heard of Eno Vino, and it was always good things, but nobody ever mentioned that it was inside a hotel and up a long elevator ride. It has a near-perfect, 2-story view of the capitol and surroundings. I was confused, but then kinda taken aback.
Then, since it was a last-minute decision, I was not dressed for it. I had worked all day, and I came comfortable in cargo shorts and a Mudvayne t-shirt. I was worried I might not even be let in, but I was sure I'd be judged. We got to the host and he asked if we had reservations with some snark and I really got worried. Then he made a play to study his screen, and then at the rest of the restaurant, which was pretty empty, I realized he was making a joke. He said we could sit anywhere we could see and that there was more downstairs and that someone would come find us, which is the best way to be seated. So we got the best view.
Then the rest of the night was exactly what we wanted without even knowing it would be like that. We studied the menu and decided to pick a few things to share and then were informed that they would pace our meal, bringing out a plate at a time. We ordered the ceviche, pork shumai, and tortellini. They each came out about 15 minutes apart and were just as good as expected but also perfectly accented out time catching up together. When the tortellini still had sauce leftover and we were joking with the server how we'd love something to scoop the sauce up, she brought us some bread to do just that (it should just be served with bread to make sure that sauce is never wasted). Then we wanted more, so we ordered the risotto to top us off.
There wasn't a bad cocktail, the merlot was great, and our server was happy to entertain my "bring me anything" request without trepidation and sent me a wildcard cider. I really just had a great time. It really was just happenstance that we went there, and it was just the perfect place I needed.
The only negative I had were that there were two TikTok divas using their camera flashes and shamelessly twerking for the views, but I don't have perfect etiquette either.
Photos courtesy of my fiancé. Me, the view from the ladies restroom, and the lava cake with vanilla ice cream.

visiting from NM, my fiancés son made reservations. we got all dressed up because that's who we are for a night out on the town. guess we were the only ones that got the memo. it was unappealing sitting next to someone that looked like they just finished cleaning their garage. they definitely need a dress code of some sort. not saying you have to wear a suit and tie and ball gown but put some decent clothes on for god's sake, maybe i am old school but it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth to see so many people dressed so slovenly, but I digress.
we ordered multiple shareable tapas and a few that we considered main courses and of course the obligatory cocktails which were spot on. service was really good. the food, not so much. it was just OK and for the price point it should have been stellar.
the view was spectacular and the view in the women's restroom was picture worthy. will we go back if we are ever in Madison, doubtful.

Hi! Took out of towner here to show "trendy cool Madison..." Service was terrible (plates were slammed down, finally just hunted down any server so we could pay and go). Food was unjustifiably overpriced (2 oz of braised ribs, cut into 4 bits for $27 sserved with micro greens that were so small they couldn't be seen). Only thing it had was great view. Highly discourage you and yours from doing anything more than one over-priced drink on patio and then definitely go elsewhere and if capitol dome is open, just walk out there for free. So sad cause the location is awesome.

We sat at the bar here and enjoyed some drinks after a comedy show. While the view of the Capitol building was a showstopper, the rest of the interior looked like it could use a little updating. We noticed some torn barstool seats and spider webs on the liquor display shelves. Our bartender was friendly, but the service did feel rushed from start to finish. They do have an excellent wine list and selection of classic or slightly more experimental cocktails. Overall, we had a good experience! I think with a few adjustments, we would have been wowed.

We had a reservation at 6 for our 1 year anniversary booked 3 months ago. We also had an explicit request to be seated by a nice window view and was told on arriving that this would not be possible as it was busy which to us didn't make sense given how long ago this reservation was made.
In addition after not being escorted to a table and told to just find one and wait to be served, we waited 15 minutes with no one to attend us. In fact the tables adjacent to us received attention multiple times and just ignored us. After going up to the host, she said she would alert a waitress right away. Ten minutes pass and still no one. So my partner and I just got up and left not wanting to waste our evening.
To us it felt like discrimination. I do not recommend going if you want to be respected.

Amazing views of the Capitol !!! Women bring their cameras into the restroom where floor to ceiling windows offer incredible views of the lake and Capitol. Service is always great and, the food, served tapas style, is always delicious! You can order as often as you like so no need to order everything all at once. The food is beautifully presented! I did have a drink this last time that I didn’t care for it as the smoky smell was just too overpowering. It was impressive to remove the lid and see the smoke billowing out. Their non alcoholic drinks are unique and very good. Those celebrating a birthday or anniversary receive a free dessert off the menu.

The food was excellent! We had a sausage and mushroom flatbread, truffled fries and green beans. The green beans were exceptional, probably the best bean plate I’ve ever had. Our server was great and offered an appropriate amount of presence (5* to our server).
Two things to fix - my wife noted that there was no toilet paper in one of the stalls in the women’s bathroom. It was obvious that it hadn’t been checked recently as there both dispensers were empty. The other issue was the completely disinterested hostess whose only sentence was “what’s the name?” We briefly considered getting up and walking out after we were seated, but our server came around so we settled in for dinner. After our meal we were waiting for an elevator with another couple and the same hostess was standing there chatting with staff. Again, not a word. This stuff wouldn’t fly at a Chili’s. We’ll be back in the future (food was that good), but I’m hoping for better.
