If I could rate this place it would be rated a 1/2 star. The food is fine other than my toast being burnt. The servings are kind of small for a truck stop though. The server dropped off the food off and never checked on us until we were pretty much done with our food. There were only 2 servers on a Saturday morning when there should be at least 3 and they should be in sections not alternating tables. It also took over 5 minutes for the server to come to the table to get our drink orders. She did take a couple things off the bill to try and fix the cooks mistakes.

Pulled off here for food on a long trek from northwestern Canada to Virginia, and up front I was a little concerned to find that it was part of a gas station. Upon walking in, however, you could see a legit kitchen in the back, this is not a "heat and eat" microwave place. Our waitress, I believe her name was Jessica, was an absolute pleasure dealing with my son and me, two very picky eaters who had a handful of odd requests. The food itself was incredible, everything was delicious and we all cleaned our plates. I will absolutely come here again if I happen to make this drive again.

We arrived shortly afterv5 pm special was rib tip buffet. We sat in the darkened section for a table and were informed that section is closed. My wife asked if this was multiple trip or one and done buffet. Waitress said we could go back as many times as we wanted ( not the first time there so emergency knew the answer) we after we got our first plate overheard they were not putting anymore on the buffet. Mostly bones left in the ribs. HONESTY GOES ALONG WAY IN SERVICE. IF ONLY WE WERE TOLD WHAT WAS THERE IS IT WE WOULD HAVE ORDERED SOMETHING ELSE.I will think twice about going back especially the buffet be honest with customers!

Think twice if ur blk or any one of color for that matter. The waitress with the glasses just looked at me standing waiting to be seated after she took some one order. Didn't ask what i wanted or tell me I can be seated. After standing there about 5 min I set myself down. Then the young white girl look like she in high-school ask me what I wanted she was great wich is why i left a tip then the lady with the glasses didn't put my syrup in my bag to go i really feel like she did it on purpose and she had attitude while taking my order. Do you want a 1980 trucker restaurant experience minus the smoke filled room? If you answered yes then this is your place. The food is unhealthy and terrible to eat but it's like Marge made it back in the day. Sloppy heart attack filled goodness. Coffee is terrible just like you'd expect and the food is awesome. A wonderful truck stop that has become a meeting up place since Menomonie is fairly in-between family members. Always clean. Always good food. A nice basic breakfast buffet with fresh food for a great price. It's become our favorite place to meet up when everyone wants to "meet in the middle" for breakfast.

Terrible experience. The waitresses were more concerned with the snow outside and the regulars than to bring me coffee.
Only one other person in the restaurant and it still took 20 minutes. OK, it happens but how about stop by the table and ask if I would like more coffee. I decided to see how long before I got a refill. It never happened. 50 minutes and I finally got up to pay. And left no tip.
Maybe the second time in 15 years I haven't left a tip. The silverware didn't even come with a spoon to stir the coffee, so I used my fork.
Food was overcooked and had to ask for a water. Terrible Terrible.
I won't be back.

5 ☆'s easy all the way across the board..I was nicely greeted by Mrs. Vicky as soon as I entered. I was brought the Specials menu and the regular menu as soon as i sat. The drink options were given to me b4 I could even ask. I quickly chose the ground beef steak and it was brought to me freshly cooked in about 10 minutes, mind you it was DELICIOUS! The cook definitely perfected it. Mrs. Vicky perfected her service as well. She checked up on me and made me feel right at home. She was so sweet and friendly. I hope she is showered with blessings always! I wish restaurants like this came more often. They deserve a round of applause. The whole place was also spic and span. Deserts are sold as well as beer...you can guarantee I'm going to stop on every pass!! Just look at the pictures I post, they say it all.

First time visiting the famous Exit45. I live about an hour away, but I have friends who live nearby it and was invited to come down and have some breakfast. I agreed rather quickly why this is their favorite place to meet. Easy to get to from anywhere, great service and the food... plenty good! The plates wiped clean with the last bit of toast by all six of us. Happy to leave a decent tip.

Sorry, i ate my "moons over my hammy," type breakfast sandwich with hashbrowns before i thought of pics! So delicious! You NEED to stop at this old fsshion diner. It is cute, they have PIES and a variety of foods. Eggs were perfectl cook, ham was a bit much for me, but very good! The hashbowns were done with perfection, as they came out tender with a nice golden crust. The toast was perfect and my waitress was super nice. Overall, i miss this type of food when on the road!

The customer service was awesome! Grace took real good care of us. She answered all of our questions and did her due diligence to ensure we could get what we were craving. I applaud the kitchen staff for trying to do a poached egg and for giving me spinach instead of ham. I know my order was a lil funky and they tried their best with the egg. I ordered takeout on my way to minnesota from mi. Idk of i was just hungry but the fries were some of my favorite ive had..ever. Perfectly crispy. I had a chicken sandwhich which was delicious.
