I've been craving Famous Dave's ribs for the longest. I'm 4 months pregnant and decided to eat it and get my craving over with. SMH my baby back ribs were completely burned couldn't even eat them or cut through them with the knife. IDK how my husband ate them but we were hungry, then guy came out with ice cream for my daughter's bday and didn't even give us a heads up. So we didn't get a nice recording of her 😕

I got a 1/2 a slab of ribs on October 11th, Saturday for $27.99, ($27.99 for a half slab.) and the first couple ribs on one side were fair at best and then the other side was inedible could barely cut them, sitting in a warmer all day and burnt. kitchen should have thrown them away, worst ribs I've ever gotten won't be back to famous Dave's ever. I was hungry, ate what I could and left.

I went to Famous Dave's and the food was hot and excellent. However the woman's restroom did not have any soap. One soap dispenser was broke, off the wall and laying on the counter empty, The other dispenser was on the wall and empty. I told a waitress about the lack of soap and she thanked me and said they would get on it. 1 1/2 hours later before we left, I went in the restroom again to wash my BBQ hands and still no soap. So just think about it, the female staff use that bathroom and obviously don't use soap. They handle our food. I will think twice before I go back to that particular Famous Dave's. FYI - there were 4 staff members standing at the desk when we left - maybe they could find some time to find soap!

We had the feast for two. All of the food was amazing except for the spare ribs. My husband loved them though. I thought they were a bit tough and not fall off the bone. We got the brisket and that was my favorite. It was super flavorful. The chicken was super tender and fall off the bone.
The sides were delicious. Although I didn't taste the coleslaw but I never eat that. The fries didn't need any ketchup. The cornbread was wonderful, the beans delicious, and the corn was so juicy and sweet!

The, I believe closing front desk manager was rude as ever! We got there about 15 minutes before they closed to ask if we could even get take out, and never had been there before, just wanted her help and she was looking at me like I wasn't asking her if she could just helpe order SOMETHING for me, my grand daughter and hubby, quickly. Didn't realize everything closes down (even when the hours say till 10, BETTER get there by 8, if you want to be able to get some food, I'm speaking of famous Dave's and Buffalo Phil's in particular) in the Dells! Which is just crazy that they even do!
Irregardless, of how rude the Hispanic girl was, I still gave the 2 girl's up front a tip! I appreciate that we even were able to get taken out!

We usually love this place. This visit was horrible. Group of 5, they brought out 2 people's dinner, then 10 minutes later brought out 2 more. Me, my buddy, and his wife went here to have dinner because my buddy wanted brisket, on Saturday night 7/19/25 we sat down me and my buddy both ordered the “Texas” brisket meal for $25.99. When the food came out to the table we were both sorely disappointed with what they’re calling “Texas” brisket. The “brisket” was firm, chewy, cold, tasted like they don’t actually smoke it, had no real fat to it, and didn’t have a bark layer like smoked meats should have. The mash was bland, cold, and kinda hard/firm. The Mac was lukewarm, cheap, and was using spice heat in place of actual flavor. The only thing we both agreed was good was the corn bread muffin. The meal was not worth the $60 me and him paid for the brisket meal. Basically everyone I showed this photo to says the “brisket” looks more like a cheap frozen Salisbury steak.

This is a chain so I wasn't really expecting to be impressed. The atmosphere is great however, perfect for a family and just over-the-top-enough to fit into major theme park area. The staff were all very nice. It wasn't crowded at all even though there were a bunch of cars in the parking lot. A bit on the pricier side, but if you're not worried about budget, it's a good complement to a family vacay.

Mmmmmm. Yummy. So good. The brisket here is mouthwatering good. The cornbread biscuits are decadent but we end up ordering extras every time. Call me a softie for good food. The sausage here isn't my favorite, but everything else here is quite good! My wife tells me their bread pudding is very delicious. Great place to get your BBQ despite it being a chain.

I gave the grade a 3 because of mainly the price of dinner. My Wife and I ordered St. Louis Ribs, onion straws with ice tea each. Food was good, but the price after tip was $87.00. Ice tea alone unsweetened was $9.89. Very expensive and since it has been a few years since I have been there the price of our meal was unexpected in comparison. The price of the ice tea was ridiculous.

Was charged an unexpected 20% 'gratuity charge' on top of a 'service fee' without notice.

Extremely disappointed management didnt disclose hidden fees before ordering.

If you're looking for really good barbecue this is definitely the place to go. Scott was a great server. The only thing that's missing is hard liquor but they have wine and beer. Plenty of parking and a great place to relax. Enjoy some dinner and have some drinks

We get Famous Daves everytime we visit the area since we no longer have one near us in Indiana. We got carryout this time. I specifically asked the lady taking the order if the mac n cheese had corn in it. She said no it was kraft Mac n cheese. When we got back to the hotel with our food, there was corn in it so all my son had to eat was chicken tenders with no side. Our other entrees were cold. We had less than a 5 min drive to the hotel. Should have been warm still. Corn bread muffins are half the size they use to be and didn't taste fresh. Wasn't impressed with the food for $63.

Oftentimes when you visit a "chain" restaurant in a touristy place like the Wisconsin dells, you don't expect a lot. This is because most of these places are staffed by students or young people who want to work "at the Dells" as part of their college or high school experience. Not at Famous Dave's, we got here at 10:55 am on a Friday. The staff was friendly, the service was quick and the rib tips were excellent. I couldn't believe how fast they had it ready.

This was my first and last time at this Famous Dave’s location. After a long drive I figured I would try it out since I’ve never had famous Dave’s before.. we waited a long time to get a waitress to even take our drinks. The pork was extremely good. Their "fries" were absolutely terrible; they were wedges and they were so soggy. Definitely don't order the chili cheese fries. For 2 kids and 2 adults it was 91 dollars for our bill; absolutely insane for SANDWICHES!!! This isnt steak man. My husband said he wanted a house salad INSTEAD of his fries because he is diabetic and we did get fries still and paid for them and extra for the salad. The server was very nice and did a great job (other than the house salad thing) but smelled so much like a cigarette I almost threw up and tried not to breathe when he was at our table. Sadly disappointing. Was looking forward to takeout here, but their app didn’t include this location so I made the venture in at 8 PM. The place was empty, and they were out of chili. I tried something different. The BBQ baked potato skin was like leather, the pork bits salty, and just a little sour cream and cheese on it. Broccoli side was perfect. Side salad was a wilted pile of lettuce they charged me $7 for. I asked for it to be removed, but it was just simply taken away L O L. I guess they close at 9pm so service was lacking and everybody was too busy cleaning the place and to bring me the bill and a to go box. The dessert I ordered was provided in a to-go bag with no napkin or fork and the bread pudding looks scary.

I have been coming to your Wisconsin Dells location since I’ve been a child. We are from Naperville, Illinois and we travel every 2-3 years to visit. Let’s talk about food, not good at all. We came in during the slow season(February) and was expecting better food quality especially since your location was almost empty. Chicken Wings were half uncooked (pink,soft,bloody) not a good start at all. I also ordered the brisket, fries, mac n cheese and cheese curds.
Brisket: 0/10 purple on the outside and slimy.
Fries: 7/10 regular fries missing seasoning.
Mac N Cheese: 8/10 overall pretty good.
Cheese Curds: 9/10 amazing, just sad portion size.

Overall though,
I hope to come back in a few years again and hopefully see your location change back to how it was. The service was good and you guys are a huge thing in my family. As a restaurant manager myself slower days should be the days we give our customers the absolute best since they are the ones keeping us in business. Waitress was very kind. Thank you for for the memories we will be returning one last time hoping to see big changes !

The Famous Dave's where I live closed a few years back, so when I spotted this one across from where we stopped for gas, I was excited. I hadn't had it in so long. I was very quickly disappointed. I could not believe how terrible my meal was at this Famous Dave’s. My Sassy BBQ salad had just lettuce and nothing else. The pulled chicken tasted old and dressing was nonexistent. No shoe string potatoes (said they were out). I returned this salad and ordered the beans that came cold and watery, corn, which was old-tough, watery and kernels dried out. The side salad was tasteless with old plain white bread croutons with no seasoning. A totally uneatable meal.
After arriving back home I ate a peanut butter sandwich, which was delicious in comparison. Before our Famous Dave’s closed in Janesville, we never had a bad meal.

Cool stuff on the walls,was not a fan of the flimsy plastic silverware. Brisket was chewy like an eraser. Over $80 for 2 people and didn't order apps,or desert. $5 lemonade. We will not be back.

15/20 minutes to get water, food came fast, was decent. Worst coleslaw I ever had in my entire life. Like there's no way anyone's ever ordered it twice.
