The lemon drop tasted like lemon water and the chicken was so dry, once we made the waiter aware of the poor quality drink he just took the drink and left. The perch was super dry, I didn’t even eat it. I had to purchase a shot .

My hunny and I went here for brunch on a Saturday around noon. It was empty and they only had one server/bartender/waitress.. she was a one man show. She was nice, however she forgot to put our food in we waited over an hour and no compensation for time. Mimosas were aweful

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here in which the vibe was good but the wait for our food was well over an hour. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks the waiter was making drinks and serving them. When I got the bill there was a service fee I didn’t argue about it but I pretty much got my own drinks and it took forever for the food. I was also charged for other people drinks after being asked what I was paying for. I didn’t notice it until I left. I called days ago and was told a manager would call me back I still haven’t received that call back. The place has potential but the service is toooooo slow.

This is a nice place. We went on a Thursday evening, and they had the back wall open that led to the patio which is a nice touch. It was hard to enjoy because it was so hot and humid outside. I would have preferred to be in an air conditioned building.

The service was excellent. I can’t remember the young lady’s name but she did wear glasses. She was so attentive and sweet. She made my Mojito and did a great job.

The food was really good! I had the chicken wings and sautéed cabbage. They gave me a side bbq sauce which was good as well.

Given the clientele, I won’t be back. Chile when we were there, two young ladies started twerking “out of nowhere and shocked me” when her “birthday song” came on. They brought out sparkles for her birthday drink. All this happened around 5:30pm. The crowd that started coming in when we were leaving was a bit young for my taste. Even tho’ this is not my scene, it’s a great place for individuals who enjoy these kind of activities.

Let me tell you from the moment you walk in to the moment you dance walking out…you will feel the love in this place. If you’re looking for some of the best Collard Greens, Fried Chicken and Catfish…this is the place to be. They have happy hour Tue-Fri from 5pm-8pm and the lemon drops are top tier! Nothing favorite about this place .

“Great ambiance, zero service, and an extremely long wait. Disappointing overall.”

All we had served were waters, never any drinks , or apps, and a well over 35 mins wait.
As we left, one of the other waitresses apologized for the " long wait."

Mind you, we dressed for a date , sucks we didn't get to really enjoy it the way we planned :/. I wanted to support the kin folk .

Went on line an made a reservation. When we arrived early after about 2 minutes someone noticed us and said we have no more tables. I said I have a reservation the response I basically got was oh well this was where I want to go on my bday despite the bad things I heard. No accommodating us or nothing so we had to find some where else to eat. This would of been my first time and it’s definitely my last time .

Black owned excellence here. The atmosphere here is very comfortable and the menu has a variety of different options. The bartender/waitress/beautiful black woman TIERRA was welcoming and polite seems like she takes ownership and pride in her job I would too looking at the way this place is set up. I had the catfish and grits with cheese on top and a lemon drop martini which was very well put together where did they find these people? Come check this place out and enjoy yourself, don't forget to leave a tip for the people that make it all possible.

The atmosphere is beyond beautiful very nice inside and outside from the patio outside and outside bar is so sheek, the DJs are really good keeps you singing and dancing all night! Wow! I dont know where to start. Favorites Restaurant and Lounge has my vote. From the moment we walked in we were greeted at the door and by waitresses in passing. The place is beyond beautiful and the atmosphere was really smooth. Our water was brought to us promptly, and our orders followed in a decent time. The food was very delicious! I mean it was all good and fresh. The drinks were awesome as well. I advise everyone to try their Lemon Drop! It's so tasty! We were checked on by staff ensuring we weren't in the need of anything and they all smiled. Everyone was friendly and hospitable. I give Favorites 5 Stars! All around the board awesomeness! I chose to patronize this spot for their "Neo- Soul" night and I was extremely disappointed in my experience. Upon my arrival I was informed there would be a $150 sit down fee. From my understanding this fee was simply to be able to sit at a table and enjoy the music and atmosphere overall but did not include any amenities. After about 20 minutes I was finally greeted by the waitress so I could order food and drinks. It took an additional 30 minutes for my food and drinks to arrive. My drink was incorrect, the waitress could not exactly tell me what drink was served to me, and my food arrived in a to go container with no explanation. I had previously saw other patrons receive their food on actual plates with silverware so this was disappointing for a dine-in experience. Additionally I had to request plasticware, condiments and napkins nor did I ever receive the additional cup of water I requested. The waitress hardly came back to the table to check on us and it was difficult to get her attention. With this less than favorable experience there was also the automatic gratuity included in my bill. I'm not sure if I want to return to this establishment at the environment as a whole was not very welcoming.

I would first like to thank the owner of Favorite's for providing a nice chill place to relax, have a drink and some good conversation. The ambiance in the place was really cool aside from the box of chicken that was sitting on the floor in front of the entrance. We maneuver pass that and enter where the waitress walks over but never greets us. The bartender finally greeted us after noticing that we looked confused (thank you). We were eventually sat at a table with a piece of paper to scan by the same waitress who did not greet us ( red braids) she never gave us her name. She walks away and does not come back for about 10 minutes and finally brings us water, but not enough only 3 waters for a party of 4. We ask to order before Happy Hour is over and she says where is my device, she leaves and returns to take our order. We get the order done and now we did order 7 drinks it took her a good 30 minutes to come back. And we all did not get our drinks at the same time. I have to give it to them the drinks were ok ( thank you). Maybe 10 minutes later one order of onion rings came to the table ( everybody ordered an appetizer except me), the waitress finally come back with 5 glasses for the lemon drops that we ordered. I HAVE NEVER HAD A MORE BORING WAITRESS SHAKE A DRINK, ( I figured she did not care about the tip. I mean what's the point in pouring it at the table if it's going to be blah. She comes back with the other drinks. We are chatting and drinking and time goes by still Noone has brought the other apps to the table so someone gets her attention and asks about the other ones she goes to check, comes back 5 minutes with one of them 👀. We ask about the other one she says it will be out shortly, it eventually does. The onion rings were best, the brussel sprouts a NO and the fried green tomatoes had no seasoning. The waitress took too long to bring the bill and cash us out. There was some weird charge on the bill that stated SERVICE CHARGE for 18% but the amount was not equivalent to 18%. Ooohh wait did I tell y'all they gave us ketchup packets and we sat down to eat. I thought somebody said this was upscale and ooh yeah the cutlery was plastic. So we paid and we left but NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN. I speak for myself on that part but this was not good to us.

Beautiful spot with a great vibe, but the experience didn’t match the décor. Limited parking, patted down at the door (first time for a restaurant, haha). One overwhelmed waitress meant food came late, cold, and in shifts — my wings & fries showed up 35 minutes after reminding her. Mac and cheese tasted old, drinks came out at different times, and no water was ever offered. Love the look, but service and food need a serious tune-up. I hope to come back in 3-6 months to give this place a review with more stars.

I stopped in out the whim. I was in the area and saw the restaurant close to Favorites, that I had googled. While looking for parking I saw Favorites. Im like I just saw the ad for this spot on Instagram. Let me check it out. On IG it looked like a VIBE. I got stopped by security at the door and I asked him, which spot was better, the one next door and this one. He said that he could honestly say this food is much better than the other one. I walk in and what I saw on IG didnt do it ANY justice! It was a whole VIBE. FR. Everyone in there was dressed to the 9. Great music was mixed into the wonderful ambience and upscale decor. The place has space and high ceilings. I looked around and notice an outdoor patio and people having a great time. It was just my luck when I walked to the counter and started asking questions about recommendations, the owner was providing the recommendations. She recommended the catfish. Im like cool, I'll try it. I had to get back so I couldn't stay and enjoy the energy like I wanted to. I ordered a drink. Something she suggested. When I tell you, she didnt steer me in the wrong direction, she didnt. Then her husband the other owner walks in and we chop it up, while I'm waiting for my food. I didnt bust the container open until I got in the car. I looked at it, I'm like it looks picturesque. But when I took that first bite and heard and felt that crunch! All the seasoning in it, how white the inside was etc, I had a quick thought to save my wife some because by far, this was some of the BEST CATFISH, I've had in years. I called my buddy that does restaurant reviews and told him he HAS to check this spot out!. I recommend anyone in the Milwaukee area and or Northern Illinois down to Chicago to check this spot out and put it on your list of must tries. I recently dined here and the food was great. The service was fast and professional. The staff were nice and the atmosphere was inviting however, I did notice that African-Americans were being checked upon entry by security .there were two Caucasians that were allowed inside the restaurant and they were not checked, so I feel like if you guys are going to check people upon Entry just make sure it’s not discriminatory. because I pride myself in supporting my community. I felt like it was discriminatory, especially with me being an African-American woman. But nevertheless I understand and know that for safety reasons this is why these checks are being done.

I really wanted to like this new bar and lounge because the vibe and atmosphere are nice, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. My food came out cold 35+ mins plus after ordering, no one was even in there for them to take that long…. they tried to charge me outside of the posted happy hour times. The service was especially slow when it came to hookah, and it felt like staff were stretched too thin—too many people trying to do too many things at once.

What really turned me off was the way feedback was handled. I understand new businesses take time to grow and figure things out, but the attitude when concerns were shared was unprofessional and dismissive.

I genuinely hope they take customer feedback seriously, because with better service and communication, this place could really be a go-to spot…

It doesn’t mean that they don’t have it. It just means the service wasn’t tip worthy. The waitress looked overworked. She was not paying attention to details. We received our food before our drinks. We were done with our food before we even received the drinks. We had to wait 20 minutes to get our bill. Our server didn’t give us our food. Another server did after she informed her that our food was ready. She still proceeded to take the next person order, we told her five people she brought two waters out Instead of five, they came in 10 minutes later still receive no water until they ask for it , thr place was not packed at all. It was about 15 other people plus us which was five in there, and the waitress was just not tip worthy that’s all.

I was really looking forward to trying this new spot, but my experience was disappointing. We arrived around 1:00 PM, and even though the place wasn’t that busy, it took about 15 minutes for a waiter to come over. Then another 30 minutes just to get our drinks (non-alcoholic).

We didn’t get our food until around 2:30, and it came out cold. At that point, I asked them to take it off the bill because I had to leave for work. I understand they’re new and still figuring things out, but based on this visit, I probably won’t be back.

Now this is what you call a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere was 1000 out of 1000 service over the top greeting as soon as you walk in constantly checking on you. I was there for a soft opening food testing. All the food was mouthwatering and flavorful. Music was on point I don't think I stopped bobbing my head and moving my shoulders the whole time I was there.
Now let's get into the drinks the lemon drops the purse bag martini towers all point and Presentation definitely over the top and you definitely can taste the Alcohol!!!
This restaurant lounge is definitely what we needed to bring to the community. I felt like I was experiencing an out-of-town vibe. The vibe is definitely up there.. Highly recommend to go and try the experience for yourself..

Walks in n I feel like I’m out of town, So pretty inside. Food was great my favorite so far is the naked hot honey wings, I love the drink selection. Super cute drink flights and mimosa towers. I love seeing the owner interact with the customers, most establishments you don’t get to see that. They have these little cute carts where the waitress/ bartenders come to your table to make a drink right in front of you on the cart. Follow them on social media for more information n days of the week specials.

My "Favorite" place.. Good music, great food, and helpful staff.. It can get a little busy but overall, it's NEW and everyone need to have some patience. I'm looking forward to the Summertime outside patio vibes.

The music is a great vibe.. a mix between rap and smooth r&B. The ambience is so beautiful. The food is great. The chicken wings were my favorite 🔥 They offer hookah (best price in the city, only $25) and they offer some amazing NON nicotine hookah. Please check this newly black owned business out! You will not be disappointed 😉

I just went to favorites for taco Tuesday got my drink in less than 5 mins and also my food in just 15 mins! My chicken quesadilla is soooo good omg I had to try it out for myself and I must say overall 10/10 experience for me!

We walked in and was immediately seated. The waitress came and brought waters right away. We placed a drink order 5 shots and a Martini flight. Literally took 45 minutes to get the drinks and the place wasn’t packed. The waitress was unfamiliar with drinks that were ordered. The drinks were horrible and taster like all sour mix. Highly disappointed.

Very nice ambiance, nice music. Got there at 5 on a Saturday a little busy. Took awhile for the waitress to take our order & took a hour to get our drinks! You must have patience going here. The chicken party wings a little big & could have been cooked a little longer.They was done but could have had a more crunch to them. Green tomatoes was a little soggy could have been cooked a little longer. Best part was the French fries. The lemon drop was ok & No water was given. They lack urgency our waitress was very nice they do have security at the door, probably won’t return however check it out for yourself.

Came in music was good but staff was not. Got seated any waited a good 20 minutes b4 we walked out! No one said anything just kept walking by checking on tables they been had and yet still didn’t acknowledge us sitting there looking upside their heads lol. First time and probably last unless I give it one more try but that’ll be on a week day!

The staff is amazing and is a vibe. Heads up this is a new establishment. Still a lot to teach their waitresses. When carrying food they stop and have a chat with people as they pass by them. Someone may ask a question. They don’t move the food out the way as they answer their questions. When paying my bill the lady told me it $16.00 for my food and $3.82 for the taxes. I asked the waitress why is the taxes so high. She said that’s the taxes. I then asked is there a fee to use card. She said no. I paid and then left and 15% tip. Once I got my bill I paid double tip. Gratuity was included and the waitress said she didn’t know. Spoke to a lady and gave feedback as to they should tell customers the gratuity is included. I also had to send my food back as it was cold. I had the smothered chicken and rice. It’s wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the best.
