We've eaten here twice. I've ordered the Spicy Tuna rolls and Spicy California rolls respectively. Both times the contents were like this puree mush. I don't know why they don't, for example, use chunks of tuna, amongst other ingredients. It's just a mushy, gross tasting mess.

Fin Sushi is definitely my least favorite sushi restaurant.

I was going to be in Sun Prairie for the day on October 11th. I was looking for a sit down restaurant for Sushi and reasonably priced. I came across Fin Sushi and I looked at the prices on the menu and I was shocked at the prices for the Vegetable Spring Rolls, the California Rolls, the Philadelphia Rolls, and the soda. I got to the restaurant and it was very cute, warm and tastefully decorated and welcoming. I ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls, the California Rolls, the Philadelphia Rolls, and got a soda and I was totally impressed with the total of my bill. I will recommend Fin Sushi to anyone that plans on visiting Sun Prairie. Thank you for the wonderful meal and experience.

I'm so glad this restaurant is close to my house—I can grab sushi whenever I want now! The sushi was just as good as Red, which says a lot because I'm usually picky about where I get sushi. It was fresh, flavorful, and melted in my mouth. You can tell they know what they're doing. Great location, too—I really hope they stick around!

My wife and I are huge sushi lovers and thought we would try this place out based on reviews we had seen. The food was average with nothing special in any of the six rolls we tried. However, I mentioned at first that the eel rolls did seem to taste a little bit odd. Unfortunately woke up this morning with severe food poisoning. Wife is an ER nurse so there was no doubt that was what it was. So while I know it was only the eel, that was bad since I had it and my wife didn't. I hate to share this but eat at your own risk and I would highly highly recommend against eating their eel

We've ordered twice now from Fin Sushi, and have been extremely impressed with the service, presentation, and quality and taste of our food. Try the Dragon Roll, Volcano Roll, Sweet Potato Tempura Roll, California Roll, Crab Rangoons, and Shrimp Tempura Roll; each is better than the one before. Fin Sushi is now our go to restaurant for sushi in Sun Prairie.

My wife and I drove by Fin a couple weeks ago and have been watching the reviews like CRAZY. So tonight we ordered a few rolls (Dragon roll, Out of Control Roll, Shrim Tempura Roll, and the Monster Roll). I have to say it was some of the best sushi I've had in a while. It was fresh, the Tempura we crispy. I ordered some extra eel sauce and that was great as well 10/10 will eat here again!

I have always gone to Fin Sushi on Junction on the west side of Madison when I lived there. Now I live further north and I googled sushi one day and the new Sun Prairie location popped up! I audibly gasped! I got the 3 rolls lunch combo and some gyozas to celebrate my first time coming here! Just as amazing as the other location :) highly recommend!!!

Fin Sushi is a nice little sushi joint in Sun Prairie. They have a full standard sushi menu with soups, lunch specials, etc, i ordered soup and a couple specialty rolls. You order up front and they bring you food out to you. Food was good, came out fairly quick, and service was nice enough. I would try it again.

We tried Fin Sushi tonight and it was so good! The inside was very tastefully decorated and the service was fast. We enjoyed the Out of Control and Monster rolls, along with the Alaskan (a classic) and spicy salmon rolls. Tonight, we tried this new establishment. The reviews were great. We have eaten sushi all over the world. We approach sushi establishments with some element of critical caution. For the Madison area, there are many sushi restaurants. This one is unique. The outer shell of the location was actually quite impressive. A nice logo, a nicely finished custom stucco-ish coating, and easy parking made for a good start. We entered on a Monday night to find the place feeding a number of folks. Oddly, you order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. The menus were clean and clear. You circle your desired dishes with provided markers and hand in to the cashier. She told us to select a table and fill out the menus there. The seating area only has 6 or 8 booths, but this area was actually very contemporary and urban. The seating was comfortable and the lighting very nice. Subtle artwork was tasteful. We selected our dishes and I went to the counter and handed in the order. The process was fast and familiar. The tip was given at that point. Then we were both seated. Within minutes our appetizers arrived. The Rock Shrimp was awesome. The miso soup quite delicious and I received a salad along with the Sushi Deluxe platter. The salad was actually stunningly fresh and vibrant. Our sushi selections were well prepared and sized perfectly. The cuts were expert. The prices really surprisingly reasonable. Overall, we were both very pleased and excited to have found this little pearl in Sun Prairie. We intend to return. Seating is limited, so take-out may be best on a weekend.

The 4 rolls we tried were very well made and tasted good. The California roll was a little off though, can't put my finger on what made it different.

I love the remodel. It's a nice place for small groups.

No table service, like water refills, but that isn't a bad thing given their model. Given the lower prices of the food by comparison to other places in town, I'd say it's great value if you love sushi!

Price was ~$45/person, and definitely the only reason this review did not earn 5-stars.

The quantity of food you receive vs. the amount you pay for it, doesn't make you feel good and has you questioning if they forgot a container.

Crab Rangoon. Can recommend as a starter, as it has a phenomenal filling, with more than just cream cheese! 10/10.

Gyoza is an 8/10; if it was one of three things: more fresh, more crunchy, or filled with another veggie of sorts (think pea), this starter can become a 9 or 10. I really enjoyed the flavors within the Gyoza, as well as the fact that it was not deep-fried!

Tokoyaki - 8/10 | Personally, I was not expecting the texture or scent that I received from the Tokoyaki... Picture a Boa bun, but smaller, and when you bight into it you are met with the consistency of spicy tuna. Not my thing and frankly was a sensory nightmare, however, I can appreciate the taste. The smell of this start was off-putting to me, but was not factored into the rating, as I have never tried Tokoyaki before. Lastly, if you are getting this takeout/curb-side, expect to see a compacted squish of dough balls with an alarming scent upon opening!

Firecracker Roll is a 8/10. Quite a mouthful! A great choice if you are hungry and want a nice crunchy, straightforward roll. Paired well with the eel sauce. Sushi quality, as well as the quantity, was very impressive!

Spider Roll - 7/10. More than a mouthful! Taste is fine.

Bamboo Roll - 8/10. Compliments the Firecracker Roll. A very refreshing roll.

Out of Control Roll - 5/10. Not my thing and also not as advertised. Topping is just a thick gooey layer with a weird consistency. Inside the roll is very nice and refreshing. I would go with something else, personally.

Surprisingly, I would go here over TK or Red in Madison. Fin Sushi's sushi quality is better, overall, than its competitors, which doesn't go unnoticed when it comes time to pay.

We have dined in and gotten take out from here. Online ordering is super convenient and you get text updates when your food is confirmed and when the order has been completed.

For dine in, the ambience is great. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and the decorations are really cool.

Overall value of food and price is phenomenal especially for the area. $5 for 2 pieces of sashimi that is thicker than a single piece of my sushi roll? So worth the money.

We will be back, over and over and over again!

Overall great place. Having tried the other sushi places in Sun Prairie, Fin Sushi is by far my favorite, the rock shrimp is great, the Gyoza and Eel sushi are the best of any place I’ve been too, and the Monster Roll is really flavorful. Overall great little place, would/will go again.

Fin was decent - they really focus on rolls, which means their nigiri selection is pretty limited. But maybe that's the audience out here?

We got take out because we've heard such good things, and were not disappointed! We got two rolls (which they put together in one container, LOVE that, sustainability!) One roll was the Golden Age, which was the perfect balance of flavors. The other was the Spider, and it was so fresh! We also got the obligatory rangoons, and honestly one of our favorites we've had in a long time! My first experience was takeout, and it leaves me wanting more! The dining area is small, simple and elegantly styled. I got the seaweed salad, Bamboo roll and 2 Red Snapper Sashimi. Loved the first two items, the sashimi was ok (but I’m not a big sashimi fan just figured I’d try it). The tempura pieces had a wonderful light flavor. The staff were friendly. I will definitely be back to dine in and grateful they are so close to where I live.

Portions are small for what I ordered but that is reflected in the price for 6 bucks that’s a great deal. The food and wasabi were great (why goto KT when you can get quality just down the road). Only thing I’m not a fan of is putting crab on the menu when it’s imitation crab (most sushi places do this though). 3rd time going best spider roll I’ve ever had 16-18 bucks for that and an eel roll! :D
