The fried lake perch was excellent. Lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. The lasagna was very heavy on the mozzarella, the Italian sausage in the lasagna was tasty. I never found any hard boiled eggs. The reason for a three star was because the lasagne was barely warm.

Just a nice restaurant that is a throwback to the '60's with panelling on the walls, huge bar area and nice big fireplace surrounded by cushy chairs. We had the pizza which was very good. We definitely will be back to try the prime rib which looked amazing.

This old supper club is past it's heyday. It's old, dark, dingy. I ordered chicken kiev on buttered noodles and they brought me a breaded heated chicken on top of al dente spaghetti. The tables are sticky from repeated wiping with no rinse cleanser of some type. The whole place just screams of neglect and lack of updating.

This is a hidden jewel. Great food and service. They are just outdated and need serious remodeling and that's an understatement, BUT, food is great. I wouldn't call it 'trash' as someone else commented because the food is very good and we never had bad service. Considering how the COVID hoax destroyed many small businesses, it's still a favorite of mine. It's just a time capsule from the 50/60's. Sometimes they are short staffed, but most restaurants are these days.

Waited 15 minutes for a server to take drink orders. Changed servers mid-order...more confusion. Never refilled drinks. At this point we were freezing from the a/c being way too high. Our experience was fantastic. We were there for my aunts memorial dinner, the staff was absolutely wonderful. Very attentive, friendly, kept the food stocked nicely, cleared tables quickly. I ordered some chicken Parmesan via Doordash tonight. The food was excellent! It was hot, looked delicious & tasted even better! My only complaint would be that I wanted some tomatoes in my salad, but I had some in the fridge....no biggie. Went there today for a birthday party. The server Tiffany provided awful service, was very unprofessional and obviously couldn't handle the party on her own. We had a few unexpected extra people show up and she was very rude about the situation. Then she was overheard talking bad about out group.

She also overcharged the bill....I strongly encourage people not wasting their time going there to avoid bad service and the server disrespecting your group/table.

Came here on Valentine’s Day on a date without reservation, while waiting to be sat my husband and I clearly over heard a waitress talking very disrespectfully about a patron eating in the restaurant, then after that while standing still waiting (mind you dozens of open tables but no reservation) heard another server yell who’s beer is this, then a moment later take a drink of it and continue on “working” obviously we left after that as that was the most unprofessional dining experience I’ve ever experienced. We had an unexpected cancelation of our Thanksgiving plans, and nothing much to eat at home. I remember reading that the Fireside was open and serving the traditional turkey dinner (among other nice offerings). I called at 4 pm, hoping, but not expecting we could get in. They were so nice and very willing to accommodate the 2 of us. First of all, the restaurant was beautiful, warm and cozy. Our server, Mary was exceptional as were our drinks and those extraordinary meals! I feel guilty we had never been there before. We only live in Racine...certainly a quick drive. We learned that the restaurant would be closing after 50 years. So sad to hear. We plan to return as soon as we can. We can't thank the entire Fireside staff for a night we will never forget.

I ordered a sirloin steak (medium rare). It was terrible as it was served well done. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and barely warm. We waited 30 min for our meal after the salad was served. The overall wait for our food was around 45 min. The bill for my steak was adjusted $5. I wasn’t going to wait another 30 min or so for another steak. Terrible experience and I’ll never return!

The Fireside Restaurant & Lounge is a locally-owned restaurant. In a good location It's a little bit retro it has some very nice decor and atmosphere. It was very clean and has spacious seating. They actually have a circular fireplace in the dining room. The menu has a nice selection of Italian and American food. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. They do have a banquet area that looked very nice. This looks like it would be a great place to hold an event. There is a large parking area.

Group of 7. I had their ravioli. It was very good, but the pasta was just a bit under done for my taste. Did not bring to servers attention as I had already finished about 1/2 of my order b4 it got tough. Service was quick and accurate. Website menu was outdated on pricing compared to in person menu. But it did not hinder us. They did not have ice cream or sherbert for dessert which I thought odd.

Mother's Day 2023..big mistake! Mom is 88. We made reservations for 1:00 pm. Unbeknownst to us, on holidays they have a limited menu. No sandwiches, no lunch options, no pizza turnovers, no perch, etc. & NO special items for Moms. Other than appetizers, they had only dinner selections. They open at 11 & only offer a dinner menu!? No mention of this limited menu on the website, only the unfriendly response from the hostess when we flagged her down to inquire about their regular menu. No waitstaff came to our table, so... no beverages while we contemplated over our menu options. The restaurant was not busy but it WAS rather dingy & rundown. Not warm, dark but not cozy. More importantly, there was nothing special or appealing about this place, especially for Mothers Day! Mom did not want to stay & so we did not. She chose Culvers.. nothing more needs to be said

Had dinner there tonight, service was mediocre at best. Had the lasagna half order special, the portion was embarrassingly small!! No turkey for the chef salad offered to double up on another meat?? asked for chicken, which they weren’t sure they could do, but they did and charged $1 for the substitution!! $4.99 for a cup of soup???? The kicker was the waitress refilling our ice tea without asking and then charging us another $3 each!!!!!They do have a beautiful new menu, but not sure there will be anyone to read them!! I grew up going to Fireside with my parents, sometimes three times a week. Almost twenty years later, my Parents and I have started going again once a week, just recently. The environment brings me back to when I was a kid, and they are still owned by the same family.

Backstory aside, this is a wonderful place. The staff cares, and the food is very good. We plan to continue to go once a week, and bring new family and friends weekly.

A going away party was hosted for us here. Communication was a little shakey in the beginning when trying to plan this, but in the end, everything worked out, and we had a very nice experience. The food was not amazing, but it was good, and even though we had a limited menu for our large group, there was still plenty of variety. We waited almost an hour for food just to return the food back to the kitchen due to no flavor etc. If your looking for one of their better menu items I suggest the bread basket and if you are really hungry ask for a second order of bread right away because the waitress does not come back to the table.

To begin with we had my mother in laws celebration of life dinner there. The food and service was amazing. We had a hiccup the day before the dinner BUT the owner Jimmy came through like a champ and honored what he agreed too! He made it work for his regulars and for what he promised us! Judging by where his regulars were sitting at they didn’t care so it tells me that integrity is high priority to his patrons and to Jimmy and his word! Don't put your money in their slot machines i hit collect to
cash out and got no ticket was told he'd have someone check next day and he could give me the money , well it never happened he told me your suppose to ask the bartender to look and write down your winnings , like who would know that when there is no sign stating you need to do that to get paid . My daughter and I along with my 18 month old Grandson ate there on Christmas evening. Our waitress was awful. She was extremely rude when my Grandson started coughing and got sick. The food was fabulous. My husband ordered Lake Perch and there was so much on his plate he could only eat 1/2 of it. They also customized a dish for me by addibg shrimp to it (there was an upcharge but very reasonable?. Yummy cheesecake.
